Cathie Ferrell 
Cathie Marie (McKinney) Ferrell, 58, of 407 Arch St. in Fulton died 2 p.m. Feb. 29, 2000, at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis.
Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Vanderford Funeral Home in South Fulton.
She was born Dec. 31, 1941, in Fulton County, Ky., and was a member of Brooks Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Fulton. She was a graduate of the former River View High School in Hickman, Ky., and was a retired nurse's assistant who had been employed at Haws Memorial Nursing Home in Fulton and at Purchase District Health Agency.
Survivors include her mother, Gwendolyn McKinney of Fulton; two sons, Willie McKinney of Fulton and Anthony Ferrell of Paducah, Ky.; two daughters, Donna Ingram and Bridgett Ferrell, both of Fulton; four sisters, Beverly Jean Vanderford of South Fulton, Linda Sue Cooper and Marva McKinney, both of St. Louis, and Debbiar McKinney of Paducah; a brother, Larry McKinney of South Fulton; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wardell McKinney; her sister, Johnnie Ruth Wynn; two brothers, James Nelson McKinney and Wardell McKinney Jr.; and her husband, Thomas Ferrell.

James H. Emmons 
James H. Emmons, 76, of Germantown died Feb. 29, 2000, at his home. He was the father of James M. Emmons of Union City.
Services with full military honors will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis, with Dr. Roy Stauffer officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum in Memphis.
Friends may call at the funeral home 6-8 this evening.
Pallbearers will be Aubon Ishe, L.M. Sharp, Carroll H. Sharp, J.B. Moss, Bob Lawrence, Sharp Emmons and Brian Woodruff.
The family requests that memorials be made to Lindenwood Christian Church at 2400 Union Ave., Memphis, TN 38112 or the church or charity of the donor's choice.
He was born July 21, 1923, in Memphis, son of the late A.C. and Mabel A. Emmons. He had been married to Dorothy (Sharp) Emmons for 56 years and was a retired jeweler.
A graduate of Columbia Military Academy, he had done post-graduate work there and had served as captain and drum major of the band. He was a U.S. Army veteran and had served in both World War II and the Korean conflict, earning the rank of captain in the infantry.
He was a member of Lindenwood Christian Church and was also a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner.
Other survivors include his daughter, Deborah E. Maxey of Bartlett; his daughter-in-law, Jill Emmons of Union City; and five grandchildren, Amanda Emmons of Macon, Ga., Sharp Emmons of Nashville, Brian E. Woodruff of Hillsboro, Ore., Angelia D. Woodruff of Palm Bay, Fla., and Jessica L. Maxey of Bartlett.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Lynn Emmons.
