McCormick is Irish. Many Irish names were derived from Irish saints. "CORB" was the name of serveral Irish saints. "CORMAC" means the son of CORB. CORMAC then evolved to McCORMICK. Therefore, the surnames CORB, CORMAC, McCORMICK & McCORMACK are all intertwined.
