HE WAS BORN SEPT. 11, 1925 IN OPERMAN, OHIO, SON OF THE LATE FOREST AND IZABELL EDGAR ALBRIGHT. HE WAS A RETIRED COAL MINER, WHO WORKED FOR BOTH POLEN COAL AND CONSOLIDATION COAL CO.
CLIFFORD WAS A WW II ARMY VETERAN, A MEMBER OF THE HOPEDALE AMERICAN LEGION, THE CADIZ EAGLES AND THE UNITED MINE WORKERS OF AMERICA.
HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY 1 BROTHER, LESTER ALBRIGHT AND A SISTER LORETTA JOHNSON. SURVIVING, ARE 2 SONS, BRYAN BARTIMUS OF CADIZ WILLIAM ALBRIGHT OF HOPEWELL.

Florence Ella Henry
Florence Ella Henry, 82, of Cadiz, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at Gables Care Center, Hopedale, OH. She was born in Logan Co., OH, on June 24, 1918, the daughter of the late Sewell Henry and Minnie Wynn Henry.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz. 
She was a volunteer and member of the Auxiliary at Harrison Community Hospital in Cadiz; former member of Chancel Choir at Presbyterian Church of Cadiz; avidly pursued crocheting, quilting and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Smylie Henry in 1987; 2 brothers, Herman and Howard Henry.
Surviving are 2 sisters, Mrs. Vincent (Goldie) Stevens, Chelsea, MI, Mrs. Glen (Gladys) Thayer, Milan, MI; 1 brother, Arthur and his wife Alice Henry, Milford, IN; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000 from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz.
The funeral will be Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Bill Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Cadiz Union Cemetery, Cadiz.
Memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Church of Cadiz or Gables Care Center.

HAZEL ELIZABETH TIPTON SCOTT, 86 OF RURAL JEWETT, OHIO PASSED AWAY FRIDAY, NOV. 3RD. AT TRINITY EAST HOSPITAL, FOLLOWING A SHORT ILLNESS.
SHE WAS BORN AUG. 15, 1914 AT CENTRE UNITY, OHIO THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE ALONZO AND MARY BUSBY TIPTON. SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY 2 BROTHERS- FRED TIPTON AND GAYLE TIPTON & 2 SISTERS-LOIS WININGS AND BEATRICE TROMBETTI

SHE WAS A MEMBER OF CENTRE UNITY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, WHERE SHE WAS THE PIANIST FOR MANY YEARS, AND THE LADIES AID SOCIETY, ALSO THE HARRISON COUNTY RETIRED TEACHERS ASSOCIATION. HAZEL RETIRED FROM HARRISON HILLS SCHOOL SYSTEM. SHE TAUGHT AT THE FOLLOWING SCHOOLS; CENTRE UNITY, CADIZ JUNCTION, BLUERIDGE, GERMAN0, AND JEWETT.

Kaytlin Marie Garrett, 29 days, of Cadiz, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001 at Harrison Community Hospital in Cadiz. She was born in Martins Ferry, OH on January 12, 2001, the daughter of Jason Garrett and Angela Banks Garrett.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Holden Garrett, of the home; a sister, Tiarra Garrett , of the home; Maternal Grandparents, Lester and Carmen Banks, Cadiz; Paternal Grandparents, Robert and Tammy Jenkins, Cadiz; Maternal Great Grandparents, Clyde Williams, Cadiz, Jack Littleton, Carrollton, OH; Paternal Great Grandparents, Ruth Jenkins, Cadiz, Norma Garrett, LaGrange; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ray Ellenbaugh officiating at the Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz.
Burial will be at Cadiz Union Cemetery.

Robert J. Bates
Robert J. Bates, 46, of Cadiz, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at Harrison Community Hospital in Cadiz.
He was born on June 22, 1954, the son of the late Gail V. "Bud" Bates and Betty Harmon Bates.
He was Owner/Operator of Cardinal Lawn & Garden and More in Cadiz and a Ceramic Welder for Fuse Tech, Bowerston, OH.
He was Presbyterian by Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Bates.
Surviving are his wife, Rhonda Pittman Bates; 1 son, Andy Bates, Cadiz; 1 daughter, Tenile Bates, Cadiz; 2 brothers, Michael Bates, Rio Rancho, NM and Donald Bates, Piedmont, OH.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday, Jan. 29, 2001 at 2:30 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, with Rev. William Hudson officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, near Fairview.

Kathryn Pauline Skinner O'Neil, 79, of Akron, OH, formerly of Cadiz, Ohio and Las Vegas, Nevada died Monday, April 9, 2001 at Akron City Hospital, Akron, OH. She was born in Trimble, OH, on Jan. 9, 1922, the daughter of the late John Skinner and Lucille Jewett Skinner.
She was a member of First Church of God, Cadiz.
In addition to her parents. she was preceded in death by her husband John W. O'Neil and an infant brother.
Surviving are 2 sons, John L. O'Neil, Burbank, CA and James L. O'Neil, Cadiz, OH; 1 daughter, Susan Greene, Port St. Lucie, FL; 2 brothers, Rex Skinner, Akron, OH and Tom Skinner, Akron, OH; 1 sister, Janice Walker, Akron, OH; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 11, 2001 from 6-9 p.m. at the Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home in Cadiz.
The funeral will be Thursday, April 12, 2001 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Samuel Betts officiating.
Burial will be at Cadiz Union Cemetery, Cadiz, OH.

Madeline Elizabeth Swann
Madeline Elizabeth Swann, 77, of Cadiz, OH, died Friday, March 30, 2001, at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz, OH. She was born in New Athens, OH, on February 2, 1924, a daughter of the late Ernest Yoho and Bessie Thorton Yoho.
She was a retired cook for the former R&F Coal Co., Cadiz. 
She was a member of East Warren Street Church of Christ, Cadiz. 
In addition to her parents. she was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Jerome, Jim and Friend Yoho; 2 sisters, Lucy Matthews and Joan Cresta.
Surviving are her husband, Earl Swann whom she married on May 25, 1946; 2 sons, Robert "Bob" Swann, Cadiz, David Swann, New Athens, OH; 1 daughter, Donna Turley, Uniontown, OH; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren' 1 brother, Ed Yoho, Cadiz; 2 sisters, Bea Walters, Cadiz and Edna Mae Donley, LaMacia, CA.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 1, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday, April 2, 2001 at the Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home in Cadiz. 
The funeral will be Monday, April 2, 2001 at 1 p.m. with Evang. Howard Hallmark officiating.

Albert T. Swelbar Jr., 72, of Cadiz, OH, died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at his home. He was born in West Moreland co., PA, on March 29, 1928, a son of the late Albert T. (Blackie) Swelbar, Sr. and Anna Jane Exton Swelbar.
He was a driller for 22 years with Consolidation Coal co., Cadiz. 
He was a protestant by faith, Veteran of the Air Force, Korean Conflict, and a former member of Cadiz American Legion Post #34.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Tarbert Swelbar whom he married on July 18, 1959; 1 daughter, Jeannine Bullock and her husband Brian, New Philadelphia, OH; 3 brothers, Gaylord Swelbar, Duluth, Minnesota, Darwin Swelbar and his wife Wanda, Cadiz, Kenneth Swelbar and his wife Karen, Chester, WV; 1 sister, Gloria Davenport, Bloomingdale, OH.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 29, 2001 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home in Cadiz.
The funeral will be Friday, March 30, 2001 at 1 a.m. with Rev. William Hudson and Rev. Fr. Thomas Vennitti officiating.

Millicent B. Knight , 87, of Cadiz, OH, formerly of Syracuse NY, died Sat., March 24, 2001, at the Carriage Inn of Cadiz, OH.She was born in Walton, NY on Oct. 14, 1913 a daughter of the late Wade P. Baxter and Gertrude Mills Baxter.
She was a former Office Manager of Park Central Presbyterian Church in Syracuse, NY; former Office Manager and Member of Onondaga Valley Presbyterian Church, Syracuse, NY and a former Office Manager of Presbyterian Synod of the Northeast , Syracuse, NY.
She was an Elder Member of Presbyterian Church in Cadiz, OH, A Laubach Literacy Tutor in New York and Ohio, and she was an extremely active member of each of her churches.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Leonard and Delmonte Baxter; an infant brother, Leo Baxter; 1 sister, Rose Martyn.
Surviving are 1 daughter, Mrs. Andrew (Jackie) Hutyera, Cadiz, OH; 4 granddaughters, Holly Hutyera, Syracuse, NY, Anne Douglas of Rocky River, OH, Katherine Hutyera, Kent OH, and Mary Hutyera of Athens, OH.
Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the home of her daughter, 431 St. Clair Ave., Cadiz, OH. Memorial services will be Tuesday, March, 27 at 11 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz, 174 W. Market St., with the Rev. William Hudson officiating.
Interment of Cremated Remains Will Be Held at a Later Date to Be Announced at Walton Cemetery, Walton, NY.
