God saw that he was getting tired and a cure was not meant to be.
So He put His arms around him and whispered ``Come with me.''
With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade away.
Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating. Hardworking hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

Desmond was truly ``the largest Leprechaun'' alive. His goal was to educate and promote Irish History and Folklore. If he could accomplish this by telling a tale or using humor he was the happiest. After all, he couldn't be Irish without using Blarney. In loving memory of our dear father and husband:
May the road rise to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm on your face and the rain fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
