MARY COLE
Services for Mary Deola Cole, 84, of Clarksville, Tenn. were held Oct. 2nd in Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Mike McDonald of the Brownfield Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Cole died Sept. 28th in Montgomery Nursing Home in Clarksville, Tenn. 
She was born July 26, 1915 in Gayle, Texas was married to Hiram Cole on Oct. 18, 1936 in Crosbyton. He died on Nov. 6, 1973.
Mrs. Cole moved to Brownfield in 1945 and to Wellman in 1967. She was a member of the Wellman Church of Christ. 
She is survived by six sons--Harold of Gary, Okla., Arthur and Tommy both of Cunningham, Tenn., Timothy of Del Rey Beach, Fla., Jerry of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Roy of Nebraska.
Mrs. Cole is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother--Cecil Marley of Hillsboro and by one son--Dewey Cole.

JOHNIE GAUNTT
Graveside services for Johnie Mae Gauntt, 80, of New Caney, Texas were held Oct. 2nd in Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Payne, pastor of the Immanuel Baptist Church, officiating. The services were under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gauntt died Sept. 30th in Northeast Medical Center Hospital in Humble. 
She was born Aug. 12, 1919 in Noodle, Texas where she was raised and attended school. She was employed by General Telephone co. as a chief operator.
Mrs. Gauntt is survived by one daughter--Linda Powers of New Caney; one son--Michael Gauntt of San Antonio; one sister--Dora Clark of Fort Worth and by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter--Georgia Altman in 1979.

NADINE CLANAHAN
Services for Nadine Clanahan, 80, of Fort Worth were held Oct. 2nd in Lunn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Calvin Beach of Dallas officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery.
Mrs. Clanahan died Sept. 30th in James L.West Center in Fort Worth.
She was born Feb. 3, 1919 in Erath County and was married to to Leon Clanahan on Dec. 31, 1944 in Olney. He died on July 3, 1988. 
Mrs. Clanahan lived in Tokio for 36 years. She had also lived in Rising Star and Abilene and had moved from Granbury to Fort Worth in 1995. She was a homemaker and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rising Star.
She is survived by three daughters--Mary Clanahan of Granbury, Helen Clanahan of Abilene and Bonnie Earnest of Plains; two sisters--Phebie Branch of Olney and Wanda Battey of Victoria and one brother--Albert C. Nix of Richland, Wash.
Mrs. Clanahan is also survived by three grandchildren--Michael Earnest of Tokio, Keith Earnest of Plains and Jennifer Crews of Lubbock and by three great-grandchildren. 
She was preceded in death by one daughter--Nancy Clanahan on May 24, 1990 and by one brother--Lonzo Nix on April 3, 1988.

DOROTHY CHESSHIR
Graveside services for Dorothy Mae Chesshir, 77, of Canyon were held Oct. 6th in Meadow Cemetery with Rev. Jim Christopher officiating. The services were under the direction of Brooks Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Chesshir died Oct. 4th in Canyon. 
She was born April, 16, 1922 in Meadow and was a resident of Brownfield for 50 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Chesshir is survived by two sisters-Zona Christopher of Canyon and Martha Gamble of Wolfforth.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert Chesshir.
Memorials may be made to the Meadow Cemetery Association, Box 154, Meadow, 79354.

KLYDIE SCUDDAY
Graveside services for Klydie Scudday, 87, of San Antonio, were held Oct. 12th in Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring with Rev. Wanda Hill officiating.
She died Oct. 6th.
Mrs. Scudday was a former Brownfield resident and was married to Walter "Doc" Kerney Scudday who preceded her in death. 
She was a life master bridge player.
Mrs. Scudday is survived by two daughters, Connie Gardner of San Antonio and Kerney Merrell and her husband, Wayne of Arlington.
She is also survived by one brother, John S. Ballard; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and by numerous nieces and nephews.

CLIFF FOSHEE
Services for Malcolm Cliff Foshee, 36, of Brownfield were held Oct. 7th in the Brownfield First United Methodist Church with Mike McDonald of the Brownfield Church of Christ officiating, assisted by Rev. Beverly Titus, pastor of the First United Methodist Church. 
Burial was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Mr. Foshee died Oct. 5th.
He was born Oct. 2, 1963 in Lubbock and was married to Dianna Hoch on Dec. 29, 1984 in Brownfield. He was raised in Brownfield and graduated from Brownfield High School in 1982. He received an Associates Degree from South Plains College.
Mr. Foshee was co-owner and manager of Foshee Spraying Service and he also farmed. He was a member of the Church of Christ and served on the Board of Directors of the Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Elyssa Foshee of the home; one son, Ethan Foshee of the home; two brothers, Scott and Keith both of Brownfield; one sister, Yvette Foshee of San Antonio; his maternal grandmother, Louise Harrell of Brownfield and his father and mother-in-law, Forest and Nadine Hoch of Brownfield.

Services for Bertha Fielder, 80, of Fort Worth were held Feb. 22nd [2000] in Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel under the direction of Winscott Funeral Home of Fort Worth. Burial was in Brownfield Cemetery. 
Mrs. Fielder died Feb. 18th in Fort Worth.

GLENN SHREVE 
Services for Glenn Shreve, 70, of Lubbock were held Feb. 21st [2000] in Sanders Memorial Chapel with Cleve Haley, pastor of Oakwood Baptist Church, officiating.  Graveside services were held Feb. 22nd in Staggs Cemetery in Mineral Wells.  Mr. Shreve died Feb. 18th in Covenant Medical Center. 

MARIA BLANCO
Services for Maria Louisa Blanco, 79, of Seagraves will be held Thursday, Feb. 24th [2000] in St. Paul's Catholic Church with Father John Casey officiating. Burial will be in Seagraves Cemetery under the direction of Head Family Funeral Home.  Mrs. Blanco died Feb. 21st in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

L.T. HAWKINS
Graveside services for L.T. "Tunny" Hawkins of Wellman were held March 6th [2000] in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.  Mr. Hawkins died March 3rd in Lubbock.

BENITO GONZALEZ, SR.
Rosary for Benito Gonzalez, Sr., 94, of Brownfield was said March 5th [2000] in the Head Family Funeral Home Chapel. Services were held March 6th in St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Burial was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Gonzalez died March 3rd in Convenant Medical Center. 

MARGE RIDARELLI
Marge Ridarelli, age 79, was born in Pennsylvania January 20, 1921 and died February 29th [2000]. Services were held on March 4th in Phoenix Ariz. at Greer-Wilson Funeral Home. Burial was at Holy Cross in Phoenix. 

MADELINE WILLIS
Services for Iva Madeline Willis, 91, of Brownfield were held May 11th [2000] in the Brownfield First United Methodist Church with Rev. Beverly Titus officiating. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery in Houston under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Mrs. Willis died May 9th in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

DIXIE BURCH
Services for Dixie Tankersley Burch, 62, of Brownfield will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 15th [2000] in the Shady Oaks Church of God with Rev. Buzz Timmons officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery in Odessa under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Mrs. Burch died May 11th in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

CLOTA HUMPHRIES
Services for Clota Jean Hand Humphries, 61, of Corsicana were held June 6th [2000] in Corley Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rankin Koch officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.    Mrs. Humphries died June 4th in Corsicana.

Faye Bartlett
Services for Fay Bartlett, 86, of Brownfield, were held August 15th [2000] at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Ken McClung officiated with Durward "Butch" Strickland, her nephew assisting.
Mrs. Bartlett passed away August 12th.

Anna Mae Duggins
Services were held for Anna Mae Duggins, 92, of Coleman. She passed away August 10th [2000] at a nursing home in Marlow, Oklahoma.
She was laid to rest in the Voss Cemetery.

Elbert 'Red' Allen
Services for Elbert "Red" Allen, 89, were held August 14th [2000] in Coleman. Rev. E.R. Latham, United Pentecostal Church of Coleman and Rev. T.H. Chapman, United Pentecostal Church of Midland officiated.
He was laid to rest in the Levelland Cemetery.
He passed away August 11th in Brownfield following an illness.

WONDA THOMAS 
Services for Wonda Beatrice Thomas, 71, of Brownfield, were held Tuesday, Dec. 12th [2000] in the Brownfield First United Methodist Church with Rev. Beverly Titus officiating.
Burial was in the City of Levelland Cemetery under the direction of Head Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thomas died Dec. 9th in University Medical Center in Lubbock.

DOMINGO SANDOVAL
Services for Domingo Sandoval, 67, of Meadow were held Saturday, Dec. 9th [2000] in the Head Family Funeral Home Chapel in Brownfield. Burial was in Meadow Cemetery.
Mr. Sandoval died Dec. 7th in Brownfield Regional Medical Center.

AUGUSTINE GONZALES
Services for Augustine Gonzales, 66, of Hugoton, Kans., formerly of Brownfield, were held Thursday, Jan. 25th [2001] under the direction of Paul's Funeral Home.
The services were held at Monte Santo with Rev. George Tinoco officiating. 
He died Jan. 22nd in Garden City, Kans.

J.W. BERRYHILL
Services for J.W. "Johnny" Berryhill, 72, of Lubbock were held Thursday, Jan. 25th [2001] in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with Rev. Cleve Haley officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Mr. Berryhill died Jan. 22nd.

NONNIE BOND
Graveside services for Nonnie Bond, 98, of Brownfield were held Tuesday, April 3rd [2001] in Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Beverly Titus officiating. The services were under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. 
Mrs. Bond died March 31st in Brownfield.

ALBERT McGRUDER
Services for Albert McGruder, 81, of Brownfield were held Saturday, March 31st [2001] in Faith Temple with Rev. I.B. Gibson officiating. The services were under the direction of Head Family Funeral Home.
Prayer services were held Friday, March 30th in Head Family Funeral Chapel.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Mr. McGruder died Wednesday, March 28th in Brownfield Medical Center.

WILLIAM YOUNG

Mr. Young died Friday, March 30th in Iowa Park.

Mrs. McMillan died April 1st in Brownfield.

Wendell Newman, 61, of Glorieta, New Mexico died April 1, 2001, at his residence at Glorieta (Lifeway) Conference Center following a brief illness.

Mrs. Holland died Monday, May 28th at the home of her daughter in Lubbock.

Graveside services for Anna S. Renfro, 94, of Midland were held Wednesday, Feb. 6th [2002] in Meadow Cemetery with Bob Reynolds officiating. The services were under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Mrs. Renfro died Monday Feb. 4th in Midland. 
She was born Feb. 11, 1907 in Moody and was married to James William Renfro on Oct. 12, 1929 in Altus, Okla. He died on April 29, 1966.

MARIA SALAS 
Rosary for Maria Salas, 68, of Brownfield will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 6th [2002] in St. Anthony's Catholic Church. 
Services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 7th in St. Anthony's with Father Gerald Leatham serving as the celebrant. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors. 
Mrs. Salas will lie in state in St. Anthony's Catholic Church beginning at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6th. 
She died Tuesday, Feb. 5th at home in Brownfield.

Services for Ethel Mary Day, 84, of Lubbock will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 7th [2002] in Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jack Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

NELLO SMITH
Graveside services for Nello M. Smith, 76, of McKinney were held Wednesday, May 29th [2002] at Resthaven Cemetery in Brady.
A memorial service for Mrs. Smith is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, May 30th in the First Christian Church in Brownfield. 
The services are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home in Brady. 
Mrs. Smith died Sunday, May 26th.
