Mr. Brooks was born Sept. 20, 1915, in Ardmore, Okla.
He was a member of First Baptist Church where he served several years as a deacon. He was past president of Stephenville Chamber of Commerce. He was also a past president of Stephenville Rotary Club.

Nell Warman Cramer was born July 10, 1906, in Fort Worth. She earned a bachelors degree and masters degree from Ohio State University and taught elementary school in Wichita Falls, Graham and Fort Worth. After retiring from teaching, she volunteered many years as a counselor in the Fort Worth school system. She was an active member of Westcliff United Methodist Church of Fort Worth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. L.A. Cramer.

Velma Ruby Estell was born June 10, 1908, in Garland County, Ark., and had been a resident of Burleson since 1969. She previously lived in Fort Worth.
She taught school in her early years. She and her husband would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 22, 1996.
Mrs. Estell was a member of Fort Worth First Seventh-day Adventist Church and was a former deaconess. She was an artist and enjoyed sewing and crafts. She was devoted to her family.

GRANBURY -- J.T. Maness, 82, a retired postmaster, died Saturday at a Fort Worth hospital.

Mr. Maness was born July 8, 1914, in Alexander Community, and had been a Granbury resident since 1950. He was commissioned as an officer in 1936 from Texas A&M University and was a member of the 505th Parachute Regiment, 82nd Airborne Div., in the Army during World War II. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Silver Star.
Mr. Maness retired as postmaster from the Granbury Post Office and was former owner of Granbury Locker Plant. He retired from Granbury Volunteer Fire Department. He was voted Older Texan of the Year in 1983 and was a member of the chamber of commerce.

GRAPEVINE -- Thomas Banks "Red" Moore Sr., 85, a retired sales/management engineer, died Monday in Grapevine.

Thomas Banks "Red" Moore Sr. was born Aug. 10, 1911, in Alapaha, Ga. He was a retired sales management executive with over 25 years' service to General Electric Co. Medical Instruments Division. He was in charge of the El Paso area and then the Fort Worth area for many years. He was well-known and highly respected by the medical community.
In his early years, he received his formal education at The Citadel, in Charleston, S.C. In World War II, he made his contribution by specializing in the then- "top secret" technology" of radar. He was responsible for all radar deployments at the Charleston Naval Yard. This included the task force flagship for Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower for the Normandy Invasion.
Mr. Moore was a longtime member of Bethel United Methodist Church of Fort Worth. He was a 50-year Mason with memberships at the Ridglea Grand Lodge, Fort Worth, and the Willacoochee Grand Lodge, Willacoochee, Ga.

She was also a member of the VFW post in Benbrook. "Tita" was an avid bowler and enjoyed knitting and crocheting gifts for family and friends. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

Edna Stout was born May 17, 1901, in Young County. She married Andrew W. Stout Jan. 27, 1918, in Throckmorton County. He preceded her in death April 9, 1964. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Graham. She was a resident of Graham 20 years. She moved to Throckmorton three years ago.
Survivors: Son, J.W. Stout of Graham; daughter, Doris Self of Graham; brother, Thomas Sitton of Lubbock; sister, Norma Wadzick of Snyder; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great- grandchildren.

Granville F. Talley
TEMPLE -- Granville Floyce Talley, 81, a retired conductor for the Santa Fe Railway, died Friday at home.

Granville Talley was born Feb. 3, 1915, in Cristoval to George Foster Talley and Carrie Hickey Talley. He married Alta Rae Cardwell July 11, 1936, in Temple. She preceded him in death April 9, 1983.
He retired from the Santa Fe Railway in 1970 as a conductor with 30 years of service. He was a member of the Knob Creek Masonic Lodge 401 and the Knights of the Pythias. He lived in Temple most of his adult life.
Survivors: Son, Robert "Rob" Talley of Bedford; daughters, Betty Porter of Waco and Carol Bonner of Fairfield; 10 grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren.
