Grapevine area. He was a member of Hurst Christian Church.

provider and seamstress for Twigg's Cleaners and domestic worker for two
prominent families in the Texas Christian University area, died Monday
at home.

Anna Elizabeth Ross McConico was born March 19, 1905, in Palestine.
Her parents preceded her in death at an early age, and she was reared by
her grandmother, Miss Melissia. Upon the death of her grandmother, she
moved to Itasca to live with an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Wynn.
She married her one true love, Mr. Easter McConico, on July 31, 1936.
After they wed, the couple moved to Cleveland, Ohio, to start their new
lives together. After several years when no children were born, they felt
their lives would be so much richer to open their Christian home and hearts
to children. Over the next 30 years, they adopted three children: Alice,
Vernon Lee and Sheryll. They were also foster parents of an additional
86 children during the 30 years they spent in Cleveland.
On Easter Sunday in 1967, she joined Mount Olive Baptist Church in Fort
Worth. There she remained faithful and served as a deaconess until her
health began to fail her.
Survivors: Son, Vernon Lee McConico of Fort Worth; daughters, Alice
Patricia Patton of Cleveland and Sheryll Coleman of Fort Worth; grandchildren,

FORT WORTH -- Edward "Ed" Ovrick, 77, retired owner of Tarrant Office
Supplies Inc., died Saturday at a local hospital.

Edward Ovrick, surrounded by his loving family, passed away Saturday
from a hemorrhage. Ed was born May 9, 1919, in West Frankfort, Ill., to
Wanda Paulcheski and Jacob Lowczykowski, both recent immigrants from Poland.
Wanting to fully embrace their new homeland, his parents had their name
legally "Americanized" to Ovrick.
Ed was the youngest of their three children and the only brother of
his sisters Edna and Tillie. While in the military service, stationed in
Texas during World War II, he met the love of his life, Sarah Catherine
Fowler. They were married in 1942 and Ed became a Texan. He founded Tarrant
Office Supplies Inc. in 1960 and sold it in 1982 to retire. He was a member
of S.E. Lions Club 36 years. Ed was a successful entrepreneur, a gifted
gardener, a fantastic fisherman and golfer and a crafty card player. More
importantly, he was an adoring husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Ed was a gentle man, honest and fair, loved and admired by his family,
friends, neighbors and employees. Throughout his 77 years, he touched the
lives of many and even three times saved the lives of complete strangers.
He will be fondly remembered.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janis Catherine, and his sister,
Tillie Szymczak.

Larry Rosh was born May 26, 1947, in Billings, Mont. Larry graduated
from Bozeman High School and attended Montana State University. He was

Mrs. Stebbins was born March 31, 1936, in Fort Worth to Burnice C. and

and family planner with Stebbins Five Partnership. Mrs. Stebbins attended
Texas Tech and the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colo. She was a member
of the Humane Society of the U.S. and Gregg County Humane Society. Mrs.
Stebbins served as president to Designs to Enjoi, Inc. She was a founding
member and partner of Stebbins Five Partnership and owner of Highland Pines
Nursing Home in Longview and Retirement & Nursing Center-Austin, LTD.
Mrs. Stebbins was a member of First Methodist Church of Longview.

William Rourke Stephens Sr. was born Feb. 3, 1911, in Mount Pleasant,
to John B. and Nannie Rourke Stephens. Before graduating from Texas A&M
University in 1939, he married Helen Mae Gunn. He was a veteran of World
War II, having served in the South Pacific. He and Helen lived in Mount
Pleasant upon his discharge from the service and moved to Fort Worth in
1949. He was an engineer for the Federal Aviation Administration. He was
a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Hurst. He was also
a member of the Texas A&M Century Club and a former member of the Fort
Worth Elks Lodge.
