He was past vice counselor of District 13, a member of Texas Pharmaceutical Association and was licensed as a Texas health care administrator. He was a past vice president and general manager of Whitten Pharmacies Inc. He was past director of the Regional Health Planning Council for the North Central Texas Council of Governments.

Mr. Davis was a member and past president of Western Rotary Club of Fort Worth and held a 39-year record for perfect attendance. He was very active in many civic organizations. He was a member of Westcliff United Methodist Church.

Bobby Keith Irick was born Oct. 28, 1936, in Holdenville, Okla. He received the Outstanding Service Award from the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of the American Petroleum Institute, Walnut Creek Country Club, various oil and gas organizations and the Kansas Kioga Club. He was one of the pioneers in the development of pulsation stabilizers used in the oil industry. He designed many products for the oil industry, with patents that are used and known nationally and internationally.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Willie O. Goude of Lillian, and his father, John B. Irick of Oklahoma.

BENBROOK -- Robert Troy Reed, 74, a retired aerospace industrial engineer, died Monday, Jan. 27, 1997, in Benbrook.

After a long, courageous and dignified fight with cancer, Mr. Reed peacefully passed away at his Benbrook home on Jan. 27, 1997, surrounded by family and friends. His unfailing faith, trust and the love he shared with so many people made his life an inspiration to all he touched. He was a mentor to young and old with his quiet, peaceful nature and compassionate heart.

Troy was born in Hugo, Okla., on Oct. 10, 1922. He attended high school in Durant, Okla., and graduated from Southeastern State University in Durant in 1950 and then moved to Fort Worth to work for General Dynamics, where he retired after 35 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was an active member of Benbrook United Methodist Church.

His retirement was a busy time spent traveling extensively with his Allegro Motor Home Club and as an active member in the General Dynamics retirees' Breakfast Club. For 20 years, he and his Bertha were sponsors for the Castleberry A Capella Choir and after retirement sang often with the Castleberry Exces Choir.

FORT WORTH -- Wilda M. Scully, 86, a retired bookkeeper, died Saturday, Jan. 25, 1997, in Waco.

On Feb. 9, 1910, Lena Maude and Joe Kelley gave birth to Wilda Marie Kelley in Putnam, Texas. Being descendants of an original West Texas pioneer family, Lena and Joe moved to Dallas in search of better times. Wilda graduated from North Dallas High School and then became employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone. Wilda met her loving husband, John Henry Scully III, and began residence in Fort Worth, where they raised two children, Lena Mary Scully McVey Brown and John Henry Scully IV.

Her joys in life were her family, cooking, gardening, sewing, being a homemaker and entertaining. After her husband died in 1948, she resumed her career as a bookkeeper, eventually retiring from Sinclair Oil. She subsequently worked for Pride Car Wash and for many wonderful years at Sleep Aire Mattress Inc., until taking a second retirement to take care of her mother.

Wilda was a member of Oakhurst Presbyterian Church, Fort Worth Garden Club and the Desk and Derrick Club of Sinclair Oil.

In her later years she moved to Waco and resided at the Stillwell Retirement Center and the Care Inn of Waco.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, James Eldon Kelley; her husband, Jack; and her grandson, James Morrison McVey Jr.

Survivors: She is survived by a host of loving family members: Son and daughter-in-law, John and Glenda Scully of Fort Worth; daughter and son-in- law, Mary and Charles W. Brown of Waco; six grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; and three nephews.

She will be remembered for her laughter and the way she lived her life with dignity. She was a wonderful daughter, mother and grandmother. We love her very much.

Benjamin F. Stevens
FORT WORTH -- Benjamin Franklin Stevens, 91, a retired dental lab technician, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 1997, at a local nursing home.

Benjamin Stevens, the youngest of six children, was born to John and Erie Stevens on Aug. 29, 1905, in Gilmer, Texas.

He met his wife, the former Mary Frances Juneman, at Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth. They eloped to Ardmore, Okla., and married Sept. 21, 1930. They settled in Fort Worth, raised two daughters, and resided there his entire life.

Mr. Stevens was the owner and dental lab technician at Stevens Dental Lab in Fort Worth, where he made false teeth until his retirement in 1978. He then helped his wife with the Green Thumb Gardens and Nursery on Gambrell in Fort Worth.

He was a Mason for 60 years at the Hemphill Heights Lodge in Fort Worth. Mr. Stevens was a longtime member of Fair Park Baptist Church in Fort Worth.

He was a loving and kind man. A wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved children and animals, holidays, the outdoors, good food and telling stories and jokes. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Erie Stevens; brothers, Arnold and Joe; and sisters, Etta, Lily and Cora.
