    Charles C. Aguilar, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, died April 30, 1997. He was 57. Survivors include his wife, Fermina Aguilar of Robstown; three daughters, Monica Carroll of Corpus Christi, Candy and Kathy Aguilar, both of Robstown; two sons, MarcChristi, and Teofilo and Juan Aguilar, both of Laredo; three sisters, Julia De Leon of Corpus Christi, Lucy Rodriguez of Laredo and Amelia Garza of Bryan; and two grandchildren. Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. May 5 at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Robstown. Clifford Jackson Funeral Home.

    Elodia Tijerina Munguia died May 3, 1997. She was . Survivors include her husband, Daniel; three daughters, Diana Cantu, Lucy Montano and Jo Ann Sanchez, all of Corpus Christi; three sons, Rogelio, Joe Tijerina of Ceres, Calif., Johnny and Richard Tijerina, both of Corpus Christi; and 17 grandchildren.     FALFURRIAS -- Eva G. Sanchez, a homemaker, died May 3, 1997. She was 88. Survivors include her husband, Francisco; a daughter, Elva Hinojosa of Falfurrias; four sons, Ramiro Sanchez of Houston, Juventino, Alejo and Ramon Sanchez, all of Falfurrias; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Helen K. Cazamias
    Helen Kairis Cazamias, a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and Delphi Club, died May 2, 1997. She was 85. Survivors include a daughter, Katherine Hrissikopoulos of Corpus Christi; a sister, Christina Papadopoulos of Athens, Greece; a brother, Paul Kairis of Laredo; and three grandchildren.     FALFURRIAS -- Jose Maria Del Bosque, a retired custodian for Brooks County School District, died May 2, 1997. He was 86. Survivors include five daughters, Delfina Diaz of San Jose, Calif., Maria Pulido, Juanita Carbajal, Esmeralda Gutierrez and Elisa Perez, all of Falfurrias; four sons, Rene Del Bosque of Houston, Ramiro Soliz of Corpus Christi, Jose Del Bosque of Pomona,great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. May 5 at Howard-Williams-Turcotte Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. May 6 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. 

Michael L. Fischer
    LOMA ALTA -- Michael Lee Fischer, civil servant, target spotter and member of Freer United Methodist Church, died May 3, 1997. He was 39. Survivors include a son, Skyler Lee Fischer of San Angelo; his mother, Maxine Stewart of Loma Alta; a sister, Susan Stewart of Whitsett; and his grandfather, M.C. Atkinson of Loma Alta. Services will be at 2 p.m. May 5 at Holmgreen Mortuary, Alice. Burial will be in Alice Cemetery. 

Milton Conring
    BAY CITY -- Milton Conring, a retired comptroller for Texas-Mexican Railway and a former Corpus Christi resident, died May 3, 1997. He was 93. Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn Biggs of Bay City of San Antonio; a granddaughter; and two great-grandsons. Burial will be at 2 p.m. May 6 in Roselawn Memorial Park, Alice. Rosalinda Carrillo-Solis
    SAN ANTONIO -- Rosalinda Carrillo-Solis, a real estate agent and former member of the Corpus Christi Board of Realtors, died May 2, 1997. She was 51. Survivors include a son, Joey Solis of San Antonio; two daughters, Lita and Betsy Solis, both of San Antonio; and two grandchildren. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. May 5 at Garza Funeral Home, San Diego. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. May 6 at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church, Benavides. Burial will be in Benavides Cemetery.

    Sofia G. Flores, a homemaker, died May 2, 1997. She was 63. Survivors include her husband, Israel Lopez of Houston; six daughters, Mary Lou Ramirez and Linda Elizondo, both of Corpus Christi, Michelle Reyes, Mary, San Juana and Sandra Flores, all of Houston; four sons, Jesse Gomez and Pedro Flores, both of Corpus Christi, Ismael and Phillip Flores, both of Houston; a sister, Ernestina Rios of Corpus Christi; four brothers, Juan, Macario, Manuel and Guadalupe Gomez, all of Corpus Christi; 34 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. May 5 at Memorial Funeral Service, Crosstown. Rites of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. May 6 at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church.     BEEVILLE -- Thelma Bernice Baskin Chesshir, a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, died May 3, 1997. She was 88. Survivors include three sons, John Chesshir of Corpus Christi, Walter Chesshir of Jourdanton and Kenneth Chesshir of Beeville; two daughters, Patricia Luna and Mary Carter, both of Beeville; a brother, James Baskin of Leander; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.     CUERO -- Willie Hoffmann Jr., a retired oil field material supervisor, died May 3, 1997. He was 72. Survivors include his wife, Ann; three sons, Fred Hoffmann of Corpus Christi, Harold Hoffmann of Green River, Wyo., and Robert Hoffmann of Crawford; and three grandchildren. Domingo C. Mireles
    ARANSAS PASS -- Domingo C. Mireles died May 2, 1997. He was 71. Survivors include four sons, Mateo, Mario, Daniel and Domingo Mireles Jr., all of Aransas Pass; eight daughters, Gracie Guerra of Bayside, Goya Aguilar Ybarra of Dallas and Paula Mireles of Pleasanton; and 13 grandchildren.     MATHIS -- Evelyn J. Butler, a member of First United Methodist Church, died May 2, 1997. She was 86. There are no immediate survivors. Services will be at 2 p.m. May 5 at Dobie Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cenizo Hill Cemetery. 

Nicolas S. Cardenas
    Nicolas S. Cardenas, a retired plumber, died May 2, 1997. He was 76. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Ida Rodriguez and Guadalupe Sandoval, both of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Teresa Hernandez of Bertram, Aurora Hernandez of Chicago and Viviana Martinez of Los Angeles; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Rites of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. May 5 at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church. Burial will be in Seaside Memorial Park.

    KINGSVILLE -- Rosa C. Sanchez, a retired Spohn Kleberg Hospital licensed vocational nurse, died May 2, 1997. She was 64. Survivors include her husband, Fidencio; seven daughters, Frances Delgado of Lubbock, Margarita Moreno of Realitos, Angelica Stanley, Benita Sanchez, Herminia Rodriguez, Imelda Ortegon and Elva Sanchez, all of Kingsville; two sons, Felix and Fidencio Sanchez Jr., both of Kingsville; two sisters, Diana Cortez and Antonia Suarez, both of Kingsville; two brothers, Hector and Alberto Cortez, both of Kingsville; and 23 grandchildren. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. May 5 at St. Martin's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.

    SAN DIEGO -- Ruben G. Vela, a carpenter, died May 1, 1997. He was 54. Survivors include a son, Ruben Vela II of San Diego; three daughters, Norma Valdez, Gracie Saenz and Maricela Garza, all of San Diego; four brothers, Santiago Vela and Ramon Vela, both of San Diego, Ricardo Vela of Corpus Christi and Jose Vela of Houston; seven sisters, Bertha Contreras, Minerva Garza and Irma Trigo, all of San Diego, Elena Martinez of Palito Blanco, Jovita Chapa and Ninfa Garcia, both of Corpus Christi, and Thelma Barringer of Corrigan; and nine grandchildren. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. May 5 at St. Francis de Paula Catholic Church. Burial will be in San Diego Cemetery. Garza Funeral Home.

Survivors include 10 daughters, Lucia Cavazos, Victoria Gonzales, Adela and Margarita Trevino, all of Mathis, Lupe Aguilar and Paulita Urquizo, both of Tynan, Braulia Del Bosque of Beeville, Martina Martinez of Victoria, Maria Gutierrez of Fort Worth and Leonor Garcia of Houston; five sons, Urbano and Luis Cavazos Jr., both of Mathis, Jose Alberto Cavazos of Lockney, George Cavazos of Tynan and Rafael Cavazos of Victoria; two sisters, Aurora and Maria Garcia, both of Beeville; 70 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
