Funeral services are pending at Robinson's Community Funeral Home for Eddie Palmer who died Monday following an illness at Jasper Memorial Hospital. A resident of Bon Wier, Mr. Palmer was sixty-six years of age.

Graveside Services for Charles Ray "Hound Dog" Shaw, 49 of Brookeland, will be 4:00pm Wednesday, September 27, in My Little Corner of the World Cemetery near Brookeland. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm Tuesday, September 26, at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper. Memorial donations may be made to the Lakes Area Hospice, 254 Ethel Street, Jasper, Texas 75951. 
Mr. Shaw died Monday, September 25, at this residence. He was a native of Newton and a lifelong resident of Brookeland. He was a truck driver for Jerry Burch, Inc. 
He is survived by his father, Claude F. Shaw Jr. and mother, Doris Shaw of Jasper; his wife, Margie Leatherwood Shaw of Brookeland; a step son, Glenn McMahon of Vidor; a daughter, Lisa Anderson of Tyler; a brother, Larry Shaw of Montgomery; sisters, Carolyn Sue Armitage and brother-in-law John of Jasper, Donna Graham of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Sandra Rocheter of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and 2 grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Uella Lewis of Newton will be Thursday, September 28, at 11:00am at the Liberty Chapel Christ Sanctified Holy Church in the Liberty Community. Burial will follow in the Shankleville Community under direction of Coleman's Mortuary. A wake will be Wednesday, September 27, from 6:00 to 9:00pm at Coleman's Chapel in Newton. She was a native of Ridge, Louisiana and a resident of Newton for many years.

MILDRED F. ADOLPH

Mildred F. Adolph, 85 of Sam Rayburn, died Monday, November 27, at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital. She was a native a Jackson County, Indiana and had lived in Indianapolis, Indiana from 1935 until moving to Sam Rayburn in 1999. 
She is survived by her husband, John A. Adolph of Sam Rayburn; son, James M. Adolph of Woodville; daughter, Nina Jean West of Sam Rayburn; brother, Homer Forgey of Crown Point, Indiana; and sister, Nina Mae Conner of Greenwood, Indiana. 
Memorial services for Mrs. Adolph will be set for later date. 

HETTYE LOLLAR

Graveside services for Hettye Florence Lollar, 94 of Winnipeg, Canada, will be 2 p.m. Oct. 29 at Evergreen Cemetery and visitation will begin Oct. 28. 
Mrs. Lollar died Oct. 14 at Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. She was a native of Lockesburg, Ark., and former resident of Rayburn County. Survivors include her daughter Mary Sue Tiffin and husband Doug of San Jose, Calif., two grandchildren, Jeremy Tiffin of Waco and Bethany Tiffin of San Jose, Calif. 
Arrangements are under the direction of Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Eva Lucille “Lucy” Fussell, 62 of Jasper, will be 2 p.m. Oct. 26 at Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will begin 5 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Funeral Home. 
Mrs. Fussell died Oct. 24 at her residence in Jasper. She was a native of Wanilla, Miss. and a former resident of Golden Acres as well as a longtime resident of Jasper. She worked as manager for Joc Stop #9 for over 14 years. 
Survivors include her three sons, Kenneth Wayne Fussell of Newton, Charles Ray Fussell of Jasper, and Joshep Craig Fussell of Kirbyville; two stepsons, Lynn Fussell and Curtis Fussell both of Kirbyville; 6 brothers, Joseph Smith, Jr. of Anacoca, La., Robert Smith of Jasper, Jimmy Smith of Pasadena, Ray Smith of Mt. Pleasant, Dale Smith of Baytown, and Joe Troy Smith of Saratoga; 5 sisters, Mildred Crain of Kountze, Evelyn Randall of Sargent, Annie Reed of Sargent, Christine Brown of Saratoga, and Darlene Torak of Pasadena, and 5 grandchildren. 
The family requests that memorials be made to Lakes Area Hospice, 254 Ethel Jasper, Texas 75951. 
Arrangements are under the direction of Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Edna McKague, 83 of Jasper, are pending at Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Jasper. McKague died Oct. 24 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Memorial graveside services for June I. Vaught, 85 of Sam Rayburn, Texas will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2002 at Evergreen Cemetery in Jasper. 
Mrs. Vaught died Monday, July 29, 2002 at Schlesinger Geriatric Center in Beaumont. A native of Gillette, Arkansas and former longtime resident of Houston, she had lived in Sam Rayburn for the past thirty-four years. 
Survivors include her son, John M. Vaught of Denver, Colorado and daughter Betty B. Thaemar of Houston, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. 
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to Lake Rayburn United Methodist Church, FM 1007 Box 14, Sam Rayburn, TX 75951 or to Jasper Share, 116 North Austin, Jasper, TX 75951.

Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Lee Shankle, age 92 of Liberty Community-Newton, Texas are pending at Coleman's Mortuary. Mrs. Shankle was a native and life resident of Newton. She died Saturday evening at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services for Toni M. Shankle, age 24 formally of Jasper, will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Greater New Bethel Baptist Church with burial in Campground Cemetery under the direction of Coleman's Mortuary. 
She was a native of Jasper and was presently residing in Dallas. She was a graduate of Jasper High School, Class of ’97. She is survived by a son Xavion Shankle of Defiance, Ohio; her mother Essie Mae Shankle of Jasper; father Henry Beatty of Jasper; and four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services for Katie D. Adams, age 93 of Jasper, will be Saturday at 12:00 Noon at Lone Star District Church with burial in Huff Creek Cemetery under the direction of Coleman's Mortuary. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary. She was a native and life resident of Jasper. 
Mrs. Adams is survived by two sons Rev. Roy Adams of and John D. Adams both of Jasper, five daughters, Cleotha Hafford, Joylene Clursky, Vance Adams, Roxanna Bootie and Pauline Chaney all of Jasper; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. 

GENE DUNMAN

Gene Dunman, 46 of Jasper, died at the University of Texas Hospital in Galveston Wednesday, October 2, 2002. 
A native of Houston, Texas he lived in Shreveport, Louisiana for many years before moving to Jasper 14 years ago. He was an employee with Halliburton as a contractor. 
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2002 at Forest Oaks Chapel with interment to follow at the Magnolia Springs Cemetery in San Augustine County. Visitation will be Friday, October 4, 2002 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 
Survivors include his mother Mary Ruth Boyett of Jasper and a stepfather Norman Boyett of Jasper. Brothers Bryan K. Dunman of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Terry W. Dunman and Donald L. Dunman both of Shreveport, Louisiana and Daniel Dunman of Jasper, Texas; sister Diane Powers of Jasper, Texas; five nephews and three nieces. 
Services are under the direction of Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Jasper.

Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Low 81 of Jasper, died on Monday, September 30, 2002 at Canon Health Care in New Orleans. Funeral services will take place Saturday, October 5, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Jasper with burial to follow in Coldspring Cemetery in Jasper. Visitation Friday, October 4, 2002 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Robinson's Community Funeral Home of Jasper. 
A native of Independence, Louisiana, Mrs. Lowe was a resident of the Jasper area. She is survived by two sons Terry Lowe of Houston and Joe Eddie Randazzel of Jasper; daughters Evelean McNeal and Viola Moses of New Orleans, Audrey Harris and Joe Ann Williams of Houston; sisters Rosell Batiste of Baton Rouge, Amanda Woodside of Tennessee; brothers Douglas Wells of California, Rosevelt Anthony, Jr. of Baton Rouge, twenty grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

Mr. Westbrooks passed away Saturday, September 28, 2002 at the Avalon Place Nursing Home in Kirbyville. 
Mr. Westbrooks was a native of Buna, Texas and is survived by his wife Hazel Westbrooks of Buna; sons Clarence Westbrooks, Jr. of Oakland, California, Prentiss Ray Westbrooks of Bon Weir, Jeffrey Doyle Westbrooks of Buna; daughters Alice Fay Jackson, Mary Frances Ross, Patricia Diane Spencer, Shirley Jean Westbrooks, Teresa Ann Westbrooks, and Shanay J. Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtie Hadnot, age 82 of Jasper, will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Armstrong Memorial Methodist Church with burial in Campground Cemetery under the direction of Coleman's Mortuary of Jasper. Visitation will be Friday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the mortuary and from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Saturday at the church. 
She was a native and life resident of Jasper and is survived by four sons, Thomas Hadnot of Baytown, George Hadnot, Henry Hadnot and Fred Hadnot all of Houston; seven daughters, Bettye Fontenot, Mae Gillory, Bobby Scott, Marie DeBine, Patsy Hadnot all of Beaumont, Mary Bronson of Jasper, 42 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are pending today for young Savanna Guillory, the daughter of Brandon and Bridgett Guillory who died Tuesday, December 3, following an illness at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. 
Over the last few weeks the illness has not only hit the family emotionally but also financially prompting friends and family members to set up an account for the family at the First National Bank here in Jasper.

Funeral for Mizell Berry, age 73 formally of Jasper, will be Friday, February 7, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Coleman’s Mortuary, with burial to follow in Jasper City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary. 
Mr. Berry was a native of Bolden, Alabama and lived in Jasper for many years. He is survived by Willie Lee Smith, James Smith and Elouise Bailey all of Jasper.

Jesse Jeramus Rodriguez, 87 of Buna, died Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at Baptist Hospital in Orange. 
Graveside services will be held Friday, February 7, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will be at E. E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville until 1:30 p.m. Friday. 
A native of Elizabeth, Louisiana and longtime resident of Orange, he had lived in Buna 20 years and was a retired Boilermaker with Local #587 in Orange. 
Survivors include a son, Jeramus Rodriguez of Hemphill; a daughter, Jeannette Pittman of Jasper; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. 
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Faith Missionary Baptist Church at P.O. Box 1630, Buna, TX 77612.

Juanice Lumpkin, 71 of Kirbyville, died Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at Jasper Memorial Hospital. 
Funeral services will be Friday, February 7, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church in Kirbyville with burial at Kirbyville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at E. E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville. 
A native of Kirbyville, she had lived several years in Port Arthur, moving back to Kirbyville in 1966. She was a retired bank teller with Kirbyville State Bank, which is now Community Bank. She was also a member of Central Baptist Church in Kirbyville and a member of the Buna Art Guild. 
Survivors include her husband, Leon Lumpkin of Kirbyville; two daughters, Pam Burditt and husband Charles of Conroe, and Sharon Harlan and husband Mike of Nederland; a brother, Harold West and wife Dixie of Kirbyville; three sisters, Bonice McBride and husband Fred of Kirbyville; Bernice Grimes of Baytown, and Mary Smith of Highlands; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Kyles was a native of the Jamestown Community and resident of Jasper for a number of years. She is survived by her parents Mr. & Mrs. Walter Kyles, Sr. of Jasper, a brother, Walter Kyles, Jr. of Beaumont, two sisters, Martha Conley and Yvonne Calvit both of Houston.

Mrs. Tims was a native and life resident of Wiergate. She is survived by three sons; Lawrence E. Tims and Michael Tims of Wiergate, Elbert Tims of Newton; daughters, Carolyn Lewis of Newton, Alma Townson of St. Louis and Evelyn Cooper of Brookeland; two sister; two brothers and thirteen grandchildren.

A native of San Augustine County,, he had lived in Kirbyville several years and was a former employee of Sabine-Neches Press.

Nola Mae Graham, 86, of Kirbyville died Tuesday, April 1, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. 
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 17 at EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial to follow at Franks Branch Cemetery. 
A native of Hardin County, she was a former longtime resident of Buna and had lived in Kirbyville 9 years. 
She is survived by a son, Robert Earl Graham of Old Salem; 2 daughters, Mary Lois Ward of Old Salem and Maybell Barnett of Kirbyville; 15 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 3great-great grandchildren.

ETHEL MAE HUGHES BEAN

Graveside services for Ethel Mae Hughes Bean, better known as “Mom Mae” will be held Saturday, January 24 at 3:00 p.m. at the Jasper City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque, Texas on Friday, January 23 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. 
Bean was born Ethel Mae McQueen, in Jasper on October 24, 1906 and was preceded in death by her parents William H. and Annie Clines McQueen as well as her husband William “Fred” Hughes who was a firefighters that lost his life in the Texas City disaster in 1947. 
Survivors include her sister Jess Westbury of Beaumont, a son James Wesley Hughes and his wife Margaret, two daughters Anna Louise Miller and her husband Lynn of Texas City and Vivian Hughes Scott of Jasper, 7 grand children and 5 great grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews. 
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or to Westhaven Church of Christ in Texas City or to the Jasper Public Library. 

LEE EDWARD COOPER

Lee Edward Cooper, 77, of Jasper died Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at Dickerson Memorial Hospital in Jasper. A native of Anaheim, CA and formerly of Grants Pass, OR, he had lived in Jasper for the past three years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #0045 of LaPine, OR and was a self employed Business Promoter. He was a WWII U.S. Merchant Marine Veteran. 
Survivors include his three sons, Lee Eugene Cooper of Las Vegas, NE, Robert Stewart Cooper of Jasper, and Rickard Cooper of Winnie, one daughter Judy Marie Cooper of Winnie, two siters, Ruby Drum Wright and Marybell Legler both of Grants Pass, OR, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. 
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Jasper Lions Club, PO Box 640, Jasper, Texas 75951.
