Franklin Gholston
Franklin Eugene Gholston, 45, of Seattle, Wash.
died July 25. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Moriah
Temple Baptist Church in Commerce with Rev. Harold Pannell officiating.
Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery.
He was born in Commerce on June 19, 1956, son
of Thomas G. and Georgia Mae Reynolds Gholston. He married Linda Whitten
in Seattle in 1982. Mr. Gholston worked in apartment management. He was
a Baptist.
Surviving are his father of Dallas; his mother
of Commerce; a son, Franklin Gholston Jr. of Seattle, Wash.; daughter Anette
Gholston of Seattle; two brothers, Thomas R. Gholston of Dallas and Robert
Gholston of Portland, Ore. and a sister, Nora Diane Bowser of Dallas.
His grandparents preceded him in death.
Pallbearers will be Kennie Champion, Ronnie Wilson,
Greg Jackson, Eric Clayton, Barry Pannell, Arron Massey.

Wilson Alverson
COMMERCE - Wilson W. "Bear Tracks" Alverson,
78, of Cumby, formerly of Commerce, died Sunday in Sulphur Springs. Funeral
services are at 10 a.m. today at Pemberton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
Roy Lee Ditmar officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Cumby.
Son of Avery Lee Alverson and Della McComic Alverson,
he was born Oct. 13, 1922, in Boswell, Okla. On July 21, 1957, he married
Dora Vinson in Commerce. A longtime resident of Commerce, he had lived
in Cumby for the past 18 years. He was raised in South Sulphur and attended
Neyland public schools. He was employed with the City of Commerce for 28
years as a meter reader until his retirement in 1986.
Mr. Alverson was a veteran of World War II, serving
as a corporal in Battery B 152nd Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion in the
United States Army. He was a longtime member of the VFW.
Mr. Alverson is survived by his wife of Cumby;
a daughter, Donna Bench of Cumby; twin brother and sister-in-law Walton
and Peggy Alverson of Greenville; sister and brother-in-law Modell and
Travis Ramey of Greenville; sisters Opal Candler and Robbie Woodruff, both
of Greenville and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother,
I.D. Parmer and a sister, Ende Estelle Alverson.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Martinez, Ernest Holley,
Valton Holley, David Holley, Buddy Ferrell, Tommy Parmer, Stanley Walls
and Louis Jackson.
Vitula Chandler
COMMERCE - Vitula Thurman Chandler, 89, died
Wednesday at Regent Care Center in The Woodlands following a lengthy battle
with Alzheimer's. There was a graveside service Monday in Commerce.
She was born May 1, 1912, on Greenville to George
C. and Lillian Harper Thurman. The family moved to Commerce shortly after
her birth.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret C.
Williamson of Williamsburg, Va. and Martha C. Martz of The Woodlands; a
son, H. Harry Chandler of Anacortes, Wash.; seven grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace
H. "Spike" Chandler, and an infant daughter.
Memorials may be made to the Commerce Public
Library, 1210 Park Street, Commerce, TX. 75428 for the purchase of large
print or audio books or to a local library.
Pemberton Funeral Home of Commerce was in charge

CADDO MILLS - Gladys C. Marney-Taylor, 99, of
Quinlan died Friday in Greenville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m.
Wednesday at the Salvation Army Chapel, Greenville, with Major Jackie Toland
officiating. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery in Wichita Falls.
Daughter of W.T. Blackwell and Josephine Gunsolus
Blackwell, she was born Jan. 29, 1902, in Morgan Mills. She was a member
of Kemp Eastern Star and the Salvation Army.
Surviving are a son, Ralph Cal Taylor; a daughter,
Ouida Taylor Harrill of Quinlan; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren
and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband,
James E. Marney, in 1939; her second husband, Robert Floyd Taylor in 1971;
sons Frank E. Marney in 1982, Paul Charles Marney in 2001 and Leo Ray Marney
in 1993; a stepson, Thomas Cazrel Taylor in 1985 and grandson Seth Ray
Black in 1994.

GRAND PRAIRIE - Alba Moore, 80, died Saturday

She was born Jan. 17, 1921, in Tussy, Okla. She
was a loving wife and mother.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband of 44 years,
Henry "Hank" Moore; sons, Robert Wayne Reneau and Bruce Allen Moore; daughter,
Mary Dennistoun; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
An open visitation is scheduled for Monday morning
before the service.

FAIRLIE - Barbara Ella Harzke, 79, of Commerce

She was born March 6, 1922, in Bridgeport to
Mary and William Moxley. She married Henry Howard Harzke on Feb. 1, 1941,
in Hobbs, N.M. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Harzke was preceded in death by her parents,
husband, two brothers, two sisters, and one son, Charles Harzke.
She is survived by her daughters, Betty Feal
of Klondike and Mary Kathryn Varce of Iowa; sons, Bill Harzke, Howard Harzke
and John P. Harzke, all of Commerce; 14 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today
at the funeral home.
Her sons, a son-in-law and grandson will serve

John Krodle
John Krodle, 79, of Greenville died Saturday
in Dallas. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Memoryland Memorial
Park with the Rev. James Nance officiating.
He was born April 12, 1922, in Fannin County
to William and Ola Krodle. On Nov. 29, 1941, he married Alene Kurfees in
Greenville. Mr. Krodle lived in the Greenville area for 78 years and worked
for Rutherford Construction for 40 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of
World War II and a member of the Church of Christ.
,He is survived by his daughter, Pat Altenbaumer
and her husband, Von, of Greenville; sister, Elnora Sealey of Dallas; brother,
James Krodle of Greenville and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Krodle
was preceded in death by his wife, three brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today
at the funeral home.

CADDO MILLS - Albert Arling Strom, 58, of Quinlan
died Thursday in Lubbock. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rentfrow

He was born Oct. 29, 1942, in Iron River, Mich.,
to Arling Strom and Jean Hanson Strom. He married Antoinette Zurek on June
11, 1976, in Jackson, Mich.
Mr. Strom was a veteran of the U.S. Army and
U.S. Navy. He also worked as a truck driver for Transport America.
He is survived by his sons, Lavern Strom, Ronnie
Strom, Alton Strom, all of Quinlan, and Gary Strom and Michael Strom, both
of Houston; daughters, Eva Dorman of Quinlan, Lorie Strom of Arizona, and
Cindy Holmes of Copeville; brother, David Strom of Michigan; sisters, Christine
Strom of Michigan and Jean Dewey of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren and
one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday

Bonnie Wardlaw
PINE BLUFF, ARK. - Bonnie Rice Wardlaw, 86, of
Greenville died Friday. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel of
Ralph Robinson. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Wardlaw was reared and educated in Lake
Village where she graduated from Lake Village High School in 1934. She
moved to Pine Bluff, Ark., in 1934 where she joined the WPA. She married
C.D. Wardlaw on April 9, 1939, in Pine Bluff, Ark. Mrs. Wardlaw was a kindergarten
teacher at Southside Baptist Church from 1957 to 1973. She later worked
for Morris T.V. Service as a bookkeeper before she retired.
She is survived by her son, Larry Wardlaw of
Greenville; half-brother, Oliver Durham of Lake Village, Ark.; half-sister,
Marie Walker of Lake Village, Ark.; two granddaughters and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wardlaw was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Douglas Wardlaw;
and brothers, Odell Rice and Edward Rice.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday
at the funeral home.

She was born Feb. 1, 1940, in Leonard, daughter
of Archie Edward Lucas and Ada Oleta McCorstin Lucas. She married Billy
James Craft in June 1959 in Fort Worth. Mrs. Craft was a member of the
Randolph Baptist Church. She was a sales clerk at Wal-Mart.
Surviving are brothers Carl James Lucas of Arlington
and Roy Edward Lucas of Randolph and a sister, Katherine Cooper of Fort
Worth.

ROYSE CITY - Lynn Arthur Hutton, 40, of Royse

Son of Lindell Arthur and Effie Burke Hutton,
he was born Nov. 24, 1960, in Dallas. He graduated from Royse City High
School in 1979. Mr. Hutton had been employed as a truck driver for American
Eagle Trucking Lines since 1999 and had previously worked for nine years
at Rubbermaid in Greenville. He was a member of First Baptist Church of
Royse City.
Survivors include his mother of Royse City and
two sisters, Maggie Ann Cahill of Wimberly and Elizabeth Ann Hutton of
Royse City.
He was preceded in death by his father and a
baby sister, Pamela Joan Hutton.

Wares, 83, of Farmersville, formerly of Leonard, died Thursday at Hinton

She was born Oct. 15, 1917, in Sumter, S.C.,
daughter of James and Daisy Montgomery Harris. She was a volunteer with
health care services.
Mrs. Wares is survived by a daughter, Kathy Smith
of Farmersville; son Charles B. Osborne Jr. of Dalzell, S.C.; three grandchildren
and one great-grandchild.

Ann Robertson, 73, of Greenville, died Friday
morning at Medical City Hospital in Dallas. There will be a private graveside
service at Forest Park Cemetery with Rev. Riley Hamilton officiating.
Born Dec. 11, 1927, in Greenville, she was the
daughter of Reagan E Robertson Sr. and Carrie Hall Robertson. She was a
retired executive secretary for Carrier Air Conditioning Company. She was
a Baptist.
Surviving are sister-in-law Lugene Robertson
of Greenville; nieces Debbie Williams and husband Ron of Greenville, Dena
Nichol and husband Mike of Greenville and Gina Steinberg and husband Paul
of Royse City; great nephews Adam Williams, Zach Williams, Chris Nichol
and Charlie Butler and great nieces Kelly Nichol and Morgan Butler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers

PORT LAVACA - Terry H. "Tige" Bunch Jr., 83,
of Port Lavaca, formerly of Greenville, died June 5. Services were June
8 at Richardson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. O'Quin Kelly officiating.
Burial was in Tulia Cemetery in Plainview on June 9.
He was born Jan. 19, 1918, in Greenville, son
of Terry Bunch Sr. and Cleo Little Bunch. He attended Texas Tech College.
Mr. Bunch was owner and operator of a Ford Motor Company dealership in
Port Lavaca for 30 years. He was a Methodist. He was chairman of the Community
Chest (United Way) and served as past president of the Chamber of Commerce.
He was a former sponsor of the Teenage League, the Punt, Pass and Kick
and the Band Boosters at Calhoun High School. Mr. Bunch served as a city
councilman 1955-56.
Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Bunch of
Port Lavaca, a son, Ross Bunch of Baytown; sister Elizabeth Kelton of Greenville
and four grandchildren.
His wife, Mancy Nell Wingo, preceded him in death.

QUITMAN - Raymond Franklin Spears, 93, of Quitman

Mr. Spears was born March 27, 1908, in Mansfield.
He was a 12-year resident of Wood County. Mr. Spears was a retired builder
who worked in residential and commercial construction. He was Baptist.
Mr. Spears is survived by his wife, Jessie Spears,
of Quitman; son, Herschell Spears of Yantis; daughter, Evelyn Martin of
Quitman; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

he was born Aug. 28, 1916, in Sunnyvale. He married Mary lee Dunn on Feb.
9, 1946, in Dallas. He retired from Brookhollow Country Club in Dallas
where he worked for 38 years. He was United Methodist.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Kenneth Borchardt

Daughter of Tessie Gunter Warren and Brooks "Happy"
Warren, she was born April 2, 1925, in Russellville, Ark. She was a member
of the Class of 1943 at Central High School in Little Rock, Ark. She worked
at the City of Quinlan through the Green Thumb program and was a member
of the Temple Baptist Church in Lewisville. Mrs. Gifford was a regular
of the Quinlan Bridge Club and was a volunteer with the Hunt County Fair
Association in the Creative Arts Division. She also participated in the
9th Armored Division Super Group reunions.
Survivors include three children, Robert Page
of Peoria, Ariz., Patty Page Stovall of Corinth and Bettina Page Frisby
of Little Rock, Ark.; a sister, Bettye Slaughter of Quinlan; eight grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford
Gifford of Spiro, Okla.

WEST TAWAKONI - Fred Addison Love, Jr., 49, of
Tawakoni died July 19 at Veteran's Hospital in Dallas. There will be a
memorial service Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the VFW Post 2559 in West Tawakoni.
Mr. Love was born Nov. 10, 1951, in Midland,
son of Fred and Artie Love. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from December
1969 to December 1973 during the Vietnam war. He was a retired truck driver.
Mr. Love is survived by a daughter, April M.
Love of Tawakoni; sister Peggy Jones of Murchison and a brother, Frank
Love of Elmdorf.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a

Stephen George Pondish of Greenville died Wednesday
at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. No services are planned. Burial
will be in Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, N.Y.
He was born Dec. 23, 1913, in Nesquehoning, Penn.
to John Pondish and Mary Kurriee Pondish. On April 8, 1950, he married
Cecioa Mulet in New York. He was a corporal in the U.S. Army during World
War II. Mr. Pondish was a retired craftsman in the jewelry business. He
was a Catholic.
He is survived by friends Victor and Luz Rodriguez
and Ruben Rodriguez of Greenville.
His wife preceded him in death in September 1969.

Burial will be in Grundy Memorial Park. She died Friday in a Dallas hospital.
,She was born in Clarksville to Thaddeus and
Celia Becton Johnson. She attended and graduated from public schools in
Clarksville and attended college at Prairie View A&M University where
she obtained her teacher's certificate. After teaching for one year, she
returned to college at Bishop College and then to Jarvis Christian College
in Hawkins where she received her bachelor's degree in elementary education.
She began her teaching career in Vasey Later, then taught in Caddo Mills,
Garland and Greenville.
In 1944 she and her husband took over the operation
of Andrews Funeral Home on Bois d'Arc Street. The facility was remodeled
and the name was changed to Grundy Funeral Home. She was a member of New
Hope Baptist Church for many years and held numerous offices in the church.
She was also active in many civic organizations.
Surviving are a son, Charles A. Venters Sr. of
Dallas; a sister, Mrs. Dimple Merritt of Fresno, Calif; four grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
,She was preceded in death by a brother, one
sister and four spouses.

EMORY - Cindy Lee, 43, of Arlington, formerly
of Emory, died Friday at her residence. Funeral services will be at 10

Born in Terrell on Oct. 1, 1957, she was the
daughter of Alton and Suzanne Ballard Jennings. She was a licensed vocational
nurse and she was a Baptist.
Survivors include her father of Canton; her mother,
Suzanne Collard of Emory; two daughters, Brandy Butler of Lancaster and
Laura Lee of Balch Springs; a sister, Carol Elliott of Emory and four granddaughters.
A son, Michael Bryon Lee, preceded her in death.

CORPUS CHRISTI - Billy D. Owens Sr. died Friday
at his residence in Corpus Christi. Funeral services were Sunday at 2 p.m.
at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Seaside Memorial Park.
Son of Sim F. Owens Sr. and Laura Cozby Owens,
he was born Oct. 27, 1921. Mr. Owens was a veteran, serving in the U.S.
Navy during World War II. He had lived in Corpus Christi since 1959 where
he attended Parkdale Baptist Church.
He was married to Jimmie Jewel Owens for 53 years
until her death in September 1993. He later married Frances Mankin Owens
on Dec. 8, 1997.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter Carolyn Maddux
of Corpus Christi and her daughter, Kim Smith of Houston and son Trey Maddux
of College Station; great-grandson Gaston Smith of Houston; great-granddaughter

Mr. Caldwell was born Sept. 23, 1911, in Childress
and his family lived in Hunt County for a while. He married Laura Loetta
Ketner on July 6, 1948, in Fort Worth. He served in the U.S. Air Force
and retired Sep. 30, 1971. Mr. Caldwell then worked for the V.A. Medical
Center, retiring with 20 years' service. He was a member of Lacy Lakeview
Methodist Church.

Geneva Hibbard of California and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife on July
22, 2000, and a grandson, Jeremy Caldwell in 1996.

His wife preceded him in death.

Born June 13, 1931 in Van Zandt County, he was
the son of Charlie Lee Ewalt and Asa Love Teel Ewalt. He served in the
U.S. Marines. Mr. Ewalt worked in law enforcement - three years on the
Liquor Control Board, 28 years in the Greenville Police Department and
12 years for the Hunt County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of Reavilon
Baptist Church and the Pythian Lodge.
Surviving are two brothers, Carrol Duane Ewalt
of Dallas and Charles T. Ewalt Sr. of Jacksonville; a sister, Nelda Jean
Starling of Garland; special friends Elna and Arvie Burdette and Pam and
Benny Henager, all of Greenville; two nephews and four nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene
and his parents.

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine " Virginia "Ginny" D. Hews,
85, of Portland, Maine, formerly of South Portland, Maine, died Thursday
at a Portland Nursing Home following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday at the Immanuel Baptist Church in
Portland. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in South Portland.
She was born in Commerce, daughter of Charles
Neeley and Eugenia Long Draper. She was educated in the Commerce schools
and was a graduate of Commerce High School and East Texas State University.
She also attended the University of Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico. On April
19, 1944, she was married to Claude E. Hews in San Diego, Calif.
Mrs. Hews taught English and Spanish and also
worked for the Commerce Journal. She and her husband moved to Maine in
1945 after World War II. She was a homemaker for several years and returned
to teaching senior English in 1966 and retiring in 1976. She was a member
of the College Club of Portland, a 56-year member of the Immanuel Baptist
Church in Portland, serving on many boards and committees. Mrs. Hews was
on the board of managers at Seventy Five State Street in Portland and was
a member of the Maine Teachers Association.
Surviving are three sons, Charles E. Hews of
South Portland, Maine, Robert F. Hews of Portland, Maine and James R. Hews
of Dallas; a daughter, Claudia H. Monsell of Portland, Maine; brother Thomas
Draper of Houston, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

born in Mexico on Jan. 14, 1916. She worked with the handicapped in Edinburg

and Ruben Reyes, all of Greenville and other nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews.

WILLS POINT " Funeral services for Jimmy D. Milton,
47, of Garland are scheduled at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethlehem Baptist

He was born April 24, 1954, in Edgewood to Marzell
Milton and Dortha R. Lewis. On June 6, 1980, he married Regina Scott of
Longview.
He graduated from East Texas State University
and began his 20-plus year career with Raytheon.
He was an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity,
Inc. (Delta Xi Chapter of Greenville) where he served as Vice-Basileum.
Mr. Milton served as a youth mentor in the Greenville community and was
a member of the International Society of Poets. He was a member of Bethlehem
Baptist Church in Edgewood and was currently attending services in Garland.
Surviving are his wife of Garland; two daughters,
Crystal and Marisa Milton of Garland; his mother of Edgewood; three sisters,
Debra Milton of Cleveland, Ohio, Barbara Green of Wichita Falls and Ann
Hunter of Royse City and three brothers, Marvin Milton and Maurice Milton,
both of Greenville and Melvin Milton of Rowlett.
His father and an infant brother, Edward Leon
Milton, preceded him in death.

Daughter of George Roden and Lydia McCall, she
was born July 22, 1909, in Jones Prairie. On June 3, 1942, she was married
to Jacob Sandford in Belton. She was a homemaker and was a member of First
Baptist Church of Wolfe City.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann Goodman of
Greenville; a son, James Sandford of Wolfe City; four sisters, Ruth Patterson
of Springhill, La., Roxie Harthcock of Grand Prairie, Louise Nixon of Rockwall
and Winnie Adcock of Milwaukie, Ore.; three grandchildren, James Goodman
of Greenville and Julie Deary and Amy Sandford, both of Wolfe City and
two great-grandchildren, Tyler Sandford of Wolfe City and Joshua Goodman
of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974,
one grandson, six brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Gafford

11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Donald
Ray Glenn and her sister, Ruth Milam.

Mr. Worthy was born Aug. 16, 1933, in Dallas
to Charles Edward Worthy Sr. and Reba Hicks Worthy. He married Bettye Ruth
Worthy on Dec. 24, 1966 in Wichita Falls. Mr. Worthy was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was a retired employee of Anderston Trucking. Mr. Worthy was a member
of the Assembly of God, the Teamsters Union. He also was a Mason.
He is survived by his son, Eddy Worthy of Fort
Worth; daughters, Teressa Steward of Hutchens and Carrie Williams of Saginaw;
sisters, Mary Boyts of Pawhuska, Okla., and Elta Pollard of Warrention,
Mo; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Worthy was preceded
in death by his wife.

Mr. Jones is survived by two sons, Ricky Jones

Watson of Winnsboro; two brothers, Riley Jones of Garland and James Jones

QUINLAN " Cleva Kirby of Quinlan died Thursday.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. today at Lake Tawakoni Church of Christ
with Randy Reagan officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Born June 15, 1931, in Weston, she was the daughter
of Oscar Christian and Lillian Miller Hansard. On Feb. 15, 1947, she was
married to Roger Clayton Kirby in Howe. She was a homemaker and was a member
of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are her husband of Quinlan; sons Gary
Kirby of Searcy, Ark., Don Kirby of Quinlan and Mark Kirby of Quinlan;
a daughter, Carol Kirby Draehn of Quinlan; brother Ford Hansard of Dallas;
nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four
brothers, Loyd Hansard, Henry Hansard, J.W. Hansard and Noble Hansard and
two sisters, Christine Bell and Glenda Parks.
Pallbearers will be Richard A. Whitehead, Michael
Whitehead, Gary Clay Kirby, Brandon Kirby, Roger Kirby and Keith Sandifer.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brandie Kirby, Corissa Turner, Aly Kirby,
Dylan Turner and Tyler Draehn.
Quinlan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Bo Lipsey
Bo Lipsey, 88, of Kingston died Thursday afternoon
in Greenville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Mathews
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Houston and Dr. Marvin Mosley officiating.
Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
He was born Sep. 20, 1912, in Greenville to Edward
Marshall Lipsey Sr. and Nanny Bell McComb Lipsey. He served in the U.S.
Navy, SeaBees during World War II. Mr. Lipsey was the owner of a grocery
store. He was a member of Kingston Baptist Church and Miller Masonic Lodge
224 of Celeste and was a lifetime member of the VFW.
Survivors include two sons, Danny L. Lipsey of
Kingston and Ronald Lipsey of Garland; seven grandchildren and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Mike Lipsey, Jim Eudy, Randy
Bunn, Bob Barnard, Billy Don Eudy and Jearold Eudy. Honorary pallbearers
will be Preston Hopewell, Gerald Williams, Jimmy Williams, Robert Holloway,
Ralph Ross and Tommy Willess.
Memorials may be made to Kingston Baptist Church.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral
home.
Steven Palczynsky
ROCKWALL " Steven James Palczynsky, 24, died
Wednesday in White County, Ark. Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. today
at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Thomas Miller officiating.
Burial will be in Swisher Cemetery at Lake Dallas.
Son of Richard and Jalana Howard Palczynsky,
he was born June 24, 1977, in Denton. He had lived in Cabot, Ark., for
the past year working in the landscape business.
Mr. Palczynsky is survived by his wife, Angie
Palczynsky of Cabot, Ark.; daughter Chloe Elizabeth Palczynsky of Cabot,
Ark.; his mother of Caddo Mills; four siblings, T.J. Palczynsky of Alpine
and Josh Palczynsky, Shana Palczynsky and Chaya Palczynsky, all of Caddo
Mills and paternal grandfather Steve Palczynsky of Anardarko, Okla.
His father preceded him in death in 1997.

COMMERCE " Cale Allen Sands, 20, of Commerce
died Thursday in Commerce. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday
with the Rev. Terry Bryan officiating. Burial will be at Rosemound Cemetery.

Mr. Sands was born Dec. 2, 1980, in Garland to
Jackie Sands and Donna Hunter. He graduated from Commerce High School in
1999.
He is survived by his parents, Jackie and Linda
Sands of Commerce and Donna and Richard Hunter of Trenton, Texas; sister,
Lark Erin Sands of Trenton, Texas; stepbrothers, Larry Wayne Hicks of Commerce,
Dustin Hunter of College Station and Brian Hunter of Bowie; grandmother
Faye VanZant of Garland; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dewayne Skieff
ROYSE CITY " Dewayne Skieff, 69, of Royse City
died Wednesday. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday at Rest Haven Funeral
Home-Royse City Chapel with Rev. George McCain officiating. Burial will
be in the Royse City Cemetery.
Born Jan. 14, 1932, in Sewell, Iowa, he was the
son of George Cleveland and Gracie Allen Skieff. He served in the U.S.
Army during the Korean War and was a retired auto mechanic.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Skieff of Royse
City; daughters Cindy Thompson of Alvin and Linda Beeman of Houston; five
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was born Dec. 1, 1940, in Dallas. She was
married to Larry Jeffrey on March 26, 1966, in Dallas.
Surviving are companion Jerry Duncan of Nevada;
her mother, Darlene Clark Rattan; sons, Jerry Harvey of Missouri, Dwayne
Harvey of California, Larry Jeffrey Jr. of Florida and Chris Jeffrey of
Lake Dallas; two daughters, Cindy Robinson of Wylie and Debra Byrd of Alba;
brothers Robert Walker of Midlothian and Paul Walker of Silver Leaf; sisters
Sandra Dowden of Chandler, Ariz., Karen Walker of Grand Prairie and Doris
Walker of Tucson, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Her husband and two grandchildren preceded her
in death.

Marcus Dewayne Jones, 33, of Greenville died
Tuesday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at True Vine Baptist
Church with Rev. R.L. Maxwell officiating.
Born Aug. 29, 1967 in Greenville, he was the
son of Virginia Jones and Raymond Edwards. He attended Greenville schools
and was a member of True Vine Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother of Greenville; a
son, Ja'Michael Bailey of Greenville; a brother, Darron L. Jones of Greenville;
sister Angela L. Alexander of Dallas; stepbrothers Raymond Edwards Jr.,
Billy Edwards and Bobby Edwards, all of Sulphur Springs; stepsisters Lila
Williams and Keever Edwards, both of Dallas and grandmothers Mrs. Berdie
Bell Jones of Greenville and Mrs. Lelila Harvey of Los Angeles, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his father and a
brother, David Dewayne Jones.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Bonnie Joe Killough, 61, of Greenville died Wednesday
night at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services will be
at 10 a.m. Saturday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.B.
Duke and Rev. Kenneth Ballard officiating. Burial will be in East Mount
Cemetery.
Daughter of Truman L. Killough and Opal Viola
Gregory Killough, she was born Dec. 18, 1939 in Greenville. She was a nurse's
aid and was a member of House of Prayer.
A brother, Dale Killough of Greenville; two nieces;
one nephew; aunts, uncles and cousins survive.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1996,
her mother in 1979 and a brother, Ernest LeRoy Killough in 1950.
Cousins will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral
