God 11/19/00. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Arnulfo R. Perez,
daughter Rosemary Perez Hill and husband Tom, daughter Linda Perez Gallardo
and Fidel Mendoza, daughter Anna Perez Ripley and husband Michael, son
Charles Steven Perez and wife Norma, son Ruben Ray Perez and wife Maria,
daughter Norman Jean Perez, 28 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, daughter-in-law
Diane Perez, sister Lupe Martinez Cisneros and husband Vivian, sister Christine
Martinez Villasenor and husband Gilbert, brothers Tony Martinez, Gibert
Martinez and David Martinez. Mrs Perez, was preceded into death by her
son Arnold F. Perez, sister Santa Martinez Vara and Minerva Martinez Trevino.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 22, 2000 at 1:00 P.M.
in the Main Chapel Of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment to follow.
A rosay and prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. in the Family Chapel
of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home Tuesday evening.
MRS. FRANCES HAJEK of Praha, Texas passed away Monday, November 20, 2000 at the age of 90. Services will be Wednesday, November 22, 2000 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Praha, Texas. Rosary will be Tuesday November 21, 2000 at 7:00 P.M. Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Flatonia,Texas. Burial Praha Catholic Cemetery. Minister Rev. Edward Bartsch. Survivors: son Felix Hajek, Jr. of Houston and sister Emma Tucker of Houston, Texas. Preceded in death by parents husband Felix Hajek, Sr. in Nov. 1984 1 sister and 3 brothers. JAMES L. JACKSON, 76, of Houston passed away Nov. 20, 2000 in Houston, he was born in Pittsburgh, PA, Nov. 19, 1924. He was a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University. James was a member of Heritage Presbyterian Church, also a member and former President of the Presbyterian Mens Association. James is survived by his wife Jacqueline N. Jackson, a son Neal L. Jackson, daughters Pamela J. Junker, Michele J. Moore, Melissa J. Gravett and 11 grandchildren. His Memorial Service will be Wed. Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Wayne Eberly officiating at Heritage Presbyterian Church, 7934 Hwy. 6 N. Houston.
SISTER MARY LAMBERT O'MARA, CCVI. died at Villa de Matel Center on November 20, 2000 at 9:35 am. Sister was born on April 16, 1915 the daughter of Mary Derrig and Philip O'Mara in Kilmaine, Co Mayo, Ireland. She entered the Sisters of Charity of if incarnate Word on February 25, 1931 and made Final Profession of Religious Vows on December 8, 1941. Sister served as Nursing Supervisor and Administrator in many of the Congregation's Health Care Centers, namely: Hotel Dieu Hospital, Beaumont, Texas; St. Mary's Hospital, Galveston, Texas; and St. Joseph Hospital, Houston, Texas. She served as administrator of St. Joseph Villa, Salt Lake City, Utah; and as patient representative of St. Mary Medical Center in Long , Beach California and St. Joseph Home, Monroe, Louisiana. Sister also served in St. Mary Home, Lafayette, La; St. Mary Hospital, Port Arthur, Texas; St. Therese Hospital and Hotel Dieu Hospital in Beaumont, Texas; St. Patrick Hospital, Lake Charles, La.; St. Bernardine Hospital, San Bernardino, California. She is survived by a cousin, Catherine Coyne in New York, Anne Moir in California and her sister-in-law, Mrs. Nora O'Mara in Ireland. Wake service will be held at Villa de Matel Chapel, 6510 Lawndale Ave. Houston, Texas on November 21, 2000 at 5:00p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will also be held at Villa de Matel Chapel on November 22, at 10:30a.m. Interment will be in the adjacent Convent Cemetery.

META PAULINE RADEKE FROEHLICH, 91, passed away November 19, 2000. Her husband Benjamin F. Froehlich precedes her in death. JOE BARVIN,79 years, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2000. He was preceded in death by his father Sam, mother Rebeca, brother Bob, sister Libby and her husband Meyer Marmis. He is survived by his loving partner in life, his wife Esther, and his children, who will remember him with love: Alan, who played ball with him, Margo,who learned to dance on his toes,and Linn,who shared a business with his father. SYLVIA S. STASNEY,85, passed away November 18, 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anton. She is survived by her daughter, Geraldine Volpe, wife of Vince Volpe of Aurora, Illinoise and son Tony, a resident of Houston. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Donna Phillips of Houston, Jane Stasney of Houston, Patricia Holloway of Tomball, Judith Smith of Tomball, Elizabeth McAfee of Phoenix, Diane Garcia of Cumming, Georgia, Debra Volpe of Chicago, Karen Volpe of Chicago and Vince Volpe, Jr. of Chicago; and thirteen great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Sylvia was so fond of all her friends at the St. Francis de Sales Golden Circle, in which she was an officer and active member, as well as the many friends at the Sussex, where she lived for many years, and all her new friends at the Clarewood House, where she had recently resided. BARBARA L. FATHMAN, born July 14, 1931, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 7, 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred R. Fathman. She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl A. Green. Brother, Norman P. Calvert; sister, Sarah J. Bales; and friends. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, November 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
ANNIE RAMIREZ GONZALES, born septe ber 29, 1928 in La Porte, Texas, passed away on November 19, 2000. Annie leaves behind her beloved husband of 50 years, Albert R. Gonzales, Sr. She is survived by sons, Albert R. Gonzales, Jr. and wife Susie, Benny, and Carlos Gonzales. Annie's legacy includes four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren with one on the way. Surviving brothers include Liandro Ramirez and wife Rosalie, Vincent, Ramiro and Gilbert Ramirez. Brothers who will greet her in Heaven are Willie and Armando Ramirez. Sisters left behind include Ninfa Sarabia and husband Gilbert, Josie Torres and husband Nate, Margaret Hughes and husband Mike, Dolores Garcia and husband David. Annie is also survived by brothers-in-law Augustine and Ralph Gonzales. Also surviving are nephews, nieces, uncles, and aunts too numerous to mention. Annie will rejoin her parents Guillermo and Estefana Ramirez in God's Kingdom. She will also meet her departed father and mother-in-law Emanuel and Bernadina Gonzales. Annie was a loving and generous person and will be extremely missed on God's green earth. She loved and was loved. A Vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 21st, Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 22nd, at Resurrection Catholic Church, 915 Zoe Street, Rev. David Cardenas celebrant. PATRICIA H. WILLIAMS (nee Hughes) transitioned on Thursday, November
16, 2000 in Columbia, MD. Her husband, Roger, children Laurie and Roger
Williams and Kimberly Johnson, daughter-in-law Andrea Seek and grandson
Zachary Seek survive Mrs. Williams. Her mother Naomi M. Hughes also survives
her. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, November 24 at 11
AM at Grace Baptist Church of Germantown 25 West Johnson Street. For over
10 years Pat was a volunteer at the Houston Area Women s Center. In honor
of her commitment to bettering the lives of women and children the family
request, that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in Pat s memory

CURTIS McNEAL, JR. passed away Thursday, November 30, 2000. He is survived
by wife, Thelma McNeal, daughter, Marla Sheppard, son-in-law, Daniel Sheppard,
granddaughter, Ashley Sheppard, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was an educator in Houston ISD for many years, serving as an elementary
school principal. There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, Dec. 6,
7:00 pm at James Stripling Funeral Home, 1402 Cleburne St. (713) 526-0091.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 7, 11:00 am at Kingdom Hall
on N. MacGregor Way.
ROXANN STARR (nee Suzan Van Vooren) was born May 31, 1959 and left on
her final big adventure on November 15, 2000. Roxann's courage was outstanding
in her acceptance of Lou Gehrig's Disease. She never lost her sense of
humor, her joy for life, or her ability to accessorize or pull pranks.
Graveside services will be Saturday, December 9, 2000 at 12:00 noon, Woodlawn
Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Drive. Roxann is survived by D.G. Van Vooren, Deborah
Miller, Kathy Burrows, Mike Van Vooren, Cynthia Ashabranner and their families
