Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Masonic graveside services will follow at Voss Cemetery in Voss. Arrangements by Richard W. Box Funeral Homes of Crane and Stevens Funeral Home of Coleman.
He was born in Coleman County and moved to Odessa in 1964.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Estella Arnold of Odessa; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Brillhart of Perryton; sons, James L. Arnold of College Station and Jesse Arnold of Canyon; sister, Jetta Havlik of San Angelo; and three grandchildren.

Fred Barnett
NEW IBERIA, La. _ Fred John Barnett, 89, of New Iberia, La., retired owner of City Tailors in Odessa, died Friday Dec. 12, 1997, at a Lafayette, La., hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with the Rev. Albert J. Boumans officiating. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Evangeline Funeral Homes Inc. in New Iberia. Burial will be at Holy Family Mausoleum with military services conducted by V.F.W. Post 1982. Arrangements by Evangeline Funeral Homes Inc.
He was born in Frankfurt, Ind., and moved to New Iberia in 1980 from Odessa. He was Catholic.

Elwood Bennett
OLNEY _ Elwood Bennett, 70, of Kermit, a self-employed oil producer, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 1997, in Kermit.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Lunn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Allen officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Olney.
He was born in Olney and moved to Kermit three years ago from Wichita Falls. He was an Army veteran and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
SURVIVORS: Son, Roger Bennett of Dallas; sister, Helen Wright of Bentonville, Ark.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Marshall Archer
ABILENE _ Marshall R. Archer, 52, a truck driver with Werner Enterprises, died Monday, Dec. 8, 1997, at Midland Memorial Hospital and Medical Center.
Services were held Friday at North's Memorial Chapel in Abilene with the Rev. Danny Thompson officiating. Burial was at Clyde Cemetery in Clyde. Arrangements were by North's Funeral Homes.
He was raised in Anson and Abilene and had been a resident of Odessa since 1988. He was a Navy veteran.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Sandra K. Archer of Odessa; son, Casey Lee Joseph Archer of Odessa; brothers, George Archer of Cleburne, David Archer of Odessa and Herman Archer of Arlington; and sisters, Marjorie Bassett of Abilene, Roberta Lindsay of Anson and Vera Owens of Oplin.

John Avera
LUBBOCK _ John Howard Avera, 37, a student of the Lubbock State School, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 1997, in Lubbock.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. today in A.W. Wilson Chapel at Jamison's Funeral Home in Lubbock with the Rev. Kenneth Cartwright officiating. Burial will be at the City of Lubbock Cemetery. Arrangements by Jamison's Funeral Home.
He was born in Nashville, Tenn., and was a resident of Lubbock.
SURVIVORS: Brothers, Raymond Wesley Avera of Midland, William Scott Avera and Thomas Allen Avera, both of Odessa; and sister, Barbara Ann Jackson of Odessa.

Donald Benson
COLORADO CITY _ Donald Benson, 66, a retired TU Electric manager, died Friday, Dec. 12, 1997, in Midland.
Services were held Sunday at the Kiker-Seale Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ted Spear officiating. Burial was at the Colorado City Cemetery. Arrangements were by Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
He was a lifetime resident of Colorado City. He was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Russell Benson of Odessa, Bob Benson of Fort Worth and Ty Benson of Kerrville; daughter, Elise Benson of Kerrville; mother, Marie Benson of Colorado City; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Frank Kasko
ODESSA _ Frank D. Kasko, 75, a retired area manager with the Texas Employment Commission, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997, at Methodist Hospital in Houston.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
He was born in Trenton, N.J., and was a resident of Odessa. He was a Lutheran and an Army veteran.

Wanda Tylka
ODESSA _ Wanda Tylka, 56, owner of Abode Interior Designs and Just Us Hair Salon, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997, in Odessa after a lengthy illness.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Arrangements by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was a lifelong resident of Ector County.

Joyce Wells
STANTON _ Joyce O'Briant Wells, 73, a homemaker, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997, in Midland.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Stanton with the Rev. David Harp officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

She was born in Fisher County and moved to Stanton 61 years ago. She was a Baptist.

NEW BRAUNFELS _ James C. Conine, 84, the general manager of Stewart and Stevenson, of New Braunfels, died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997, at his home.

BIG SPRING _ Lloyd H. Duncan, 74, a retired foreman for Amoco Production Company, of Big Spring, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997, in Lubbock.
Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rodney Tedford officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park. Arrangements by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
He came to Big Spring in 1962 from Wink. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Son, Buddy Duncan of Big Spring; daughters, Rosalie New of Snyder, Linda McCormick of Levelland and Peggy Jo Duncan of Hurst; brother, Floyd Duncan of Snyder; sister, Ethel Ramsey of Carlsbad, N.M.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Kelsey Francisco
MONAHANS _ Kelsey Christine Francisco, 2-month-old infant of Bryan and Debra Francisco of Monahans, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997, at Children's Medical Center in Dallas.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Mitchell officiating. Burial will be at Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
She was born in Odessa.

Minnie Lee Jones
STANTON _ Minnie Lee Jones, 78, a retired dietitian with Martin County Hospital, of Stanton, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 1997, at the Stanton Church of Christ with Ellmore Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements by Gilbreath Funeral Home.
She had been a resident of Stanton for almost 50 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Jones of Fort Worth, Hebrew Jones, Jr. of Big Spring, David Jones of Bay City and Marvin Jones of The Woodlands; daughters, Bonnie Chavez of Capitan, N.M., Marva Scurlark of Odessa and Leatrice Thorns of Dallas; sister, Fannie McKnight of Houston; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

GRANBURY _ Leslie Jason Little, 25, a plumber, of Granbury, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 1997.

He was born in Guymon, Okla.

Juanita Longoria
SEMINOLE _ Juanita ``Janie'' Subia Longoria, 63, of Tahoka, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997, in Tahoka.
Rosary was said Monday at St. James Catholic Church in Seminole. Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. today at St. James Catholic Church in Seminole with the Rev. Liam Sweeney officiating. Burial will be at Gaines County Cemetery. Arrangements by Roger Pool Funeral Home.
She moved to Seminole from Big Lake in 1985, and moved to Tahoka in 1991. She was a Catholic.

ODESSA _ Freddy Manning, 42, an employee with PMC Equipment of Odessa, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997, at University Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born in Odessa.

MONAHANS _ Yula Dorothy Sherrod, 94, a retired switchboard operator with Ward Memorial Hospital, of Monahans, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997, at Monahans Senior Center.

She had been a resident of Monahans since the mid 1950s.

POSSUM KINGDOM LAKE _ Walt L. Summers, 78, a retired maintenance supervisor for Phillips Petroleum Company, of Possum Kingdom Lake, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 1997, at his home.

He was born in Sandia and was a Marine Corps veteran.

EARLY _ Elbert Cobern, 87, a carpenter/contractor, died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997, in Abilene.

He was born in Indian Creek and was a resident of Brownwood. He was Baptist.

TITUSVILLE, Fla. _ James Reed Evans Sr., 74, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 1997, at his residence in Ringgold, Ga.

He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

He was born in Midland and was a resident of Andrews before moving to Saginaw. He was Baptist.

She was born in Odessa.

SEMINOLE _ Ruby ``Tommie'' Hollis, 70, of Seminole, a homemaker, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 1997, at Memorial Health Care Center in Seminole.

She was born in Lamesa and had been a resident of Seminole since 1979 after moving from Penwell.

ODESSA _ Elifonsa T. Ramos, 72, of Odessa, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 1997, at her residence.

She was born in Ojinaga, Mexico, and had been a resident of Odessa for 15 years. She was Catholic.

She was born in Du Quoin, Ill.

BAXTER SPRINGS, Kan. _ Clara Mae Wells, 86, a retired teacher and school bus driver, of Riverton, Kan., died Monday, Dec. 15, 1997, at Freeman Hospital West after a short illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Christian Church with Edward Snider officiating. Burial will be at Osborne Memorial Cemetery in Joplin, Mo. Arrangements by Parker Mortuary in Joplin.
She was born in Joplin and moved to Riverton in 1971 from Odessa. She was a member of First Christian Church.
