BARSTOW _ Armando Garcia Sr., 61, a carpenter, of Lubbock died Saturday, Dec. 6, 1997, at his residence.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at Martinez Funeral Home in Pecos. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Refuge in Barstow with the Rev. Antonio Mena officiating. Burial will be in the Barstow Cemetery. Arrangements by Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock.
He was born in Presidio and moved to Lubbock in 1963 from Barstow.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Otilia Garcia of Lubbock; sons, Jesus Garcia, Armando Garcia Jr. and Cruz Garcia, all of Lubbock; daughters, Virginia Trevino of Dallas, Elodia Hanes of Lubbock and Corina Flores of El Paso; brothers, Jose Garcia of Barstow and Robert Garcia of Lubbock; sisters, Flora Baca of Pecos, Elosia Rubi of Riverside, Calif., and Chavela Ramos of Abernathy; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

AUSTIN _ Cornelia Kennedy, 91, of Austin died Saturday, Dec. 6, 1997, in Austin.

She was born in Austin and was a Baptist.

IMPERIAL _ Hipolita Chavarria Rodriguez, 76, a homemaker, of Monahans died Sunday, Dec. 7, 1997, in Monahans.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Monday at the Community Center in Imperial. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at Our Lady of Lords Catholic Church. Burial will be at Imperial Cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home.
She was born in Ruidosa and was a longtime resident of Monahans. She was a Catholic.

KERMIT _ Alvin Enhart Sherrell, 74, a retired airline re-fueler for Allied Aviation, of Allen died Friday, Dec. 5, 1997, at Hilltop Nursing Home in Gunter.
Services were held Monday at Belvue Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Braswell officiating. Burial was at Kermit Cemetery.
He was born in Graham and was a Baptist. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Doris Ruth Sherrell of Allen; son, Younge Enhart Sherrell of Wake Forest, N.C.; daughter, Laura A. Giles of Allen; and six grandchildren.

Edward Spencer
ODESSA _ Edward ``Dub'' Spencer, 74, of Odessa died Sunday, Dec. 7, 1997, at Hillsboro Nursing Home in Hillsboro.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Greenfield Acres Baptist Church in Odessa.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Merlene Spencer of Odessa; sons, Darrell Spencer of Marysville, Wash., Dale Spencer of Odessa and John Spencer of Houston; daughters, Sandra Birdwell of Port Aransas and Dene Foster of Odessa; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Etta Holmes-Tucker
ODESSA _ Etta Mae Holmes-Tucker, 87, a retired dietitian, of Odessa died Saturday, Dec. 6, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at 1307 Broughton Ave. with the Rev. Curtis Norris officiating. Burial will be at Ector County Cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Lott and moved to Odessa two months ago from Lubbock. She was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Nephews, Curtis Norris and Leroy Baldwin, both of Odessa and Jessie Stewart of Lawton, Okla.; nieces, Ora Scott of Grand Prairie and Pearl Norris of Odessa.

LITTLEFIELD _ Nell Vann Wood, 82, former owner/operator of the Spade Beauty Shop in Spade, of Odessa died Thursday, Dec. 4, 1997, at her residence.
Services were held Monday at Hammons Funeral Home Chapel in Littlefield with the Rev. George C. Price officiating. Burial was at Littlefield Memorial Park. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
She was born in Nolan County and moved to Odessa nine years ago. She was a Methodist.
SURVIVORS: Husband, J. Paul Wood of Odessa; sisters, Belva Blanford of Monmouth, Ill., and Louis Wilson of Streetman; one stepson; five step-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.

Willie Creear
ODESSA _ Willie Dee ``Jelly'' Creear Sr., 71, of Odessa, a retired chemical mixer for Continental Products, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 1997, at Veteran's Hospital in Big Spring.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. R.T. McNeal officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Worthan and had been a resident of Odessa for 43 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was Baptist.

SEMINOLE _ Coatis Lee Oats, 63, of Kermit died Friday, Dec. 5, 1997, at his residence.

He was born in Paris and moved to Seminole in 1982 from Kermit. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was Baptist.

She was born in Santa Ana and had been a resident of Seminole since 1975 after moving from Penwell. She was Baptist.

She was born in Presidio.

BRENHAM _ Jack K. Honea, 76, a retired employee of Arco Oil and Gas Company and a former resident of Odessa, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 1997, at Gazebo Terrace Convalescent Center.

He was born in Haskell and lived in Brenham at the time of his death. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
