He was born Aug. 17, 1954, in Odessa.

Jose Nabarrette
ODESSA _ Jose Jesus Nabarrette, 51, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 1997, at Midland Memorial Hospital.
Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today at the Martinez Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements made by Martinez Funeral Home.

Odessa _ Mary Francis Payne, 75, a homemaker, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 1997, at her residence.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Laura Deadrick officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements made by Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
She was born Aug. 20, 1922, in Dallas and had lived in Odessa since 1957. She was an Episcopalian.
SURVIVORS: Sons, William T. Payne IV of O'Fallon, Ill. and Gus Payne of McKinney; daughters, Becky Morris and Emily Thielepapae, both of Odessa; brother, Jim Estes of South Padre Island; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Alfred Barrera
ODESSA _ Alfred ``Boogie'' Barrera, 52, a retired plumber, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.
Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. today at Our Lady of San Juan with the Rev. Mark Woodrow officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
He was born in Snyder and moved to Odessa 43 years ago.

ODESSA _ John Tom Duncan Jr., 76, a retired pipeline construction foreman, died Monday, Oct. 27, 1997, at Deerings Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Pugh officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
He was born in Robert Lee and was a Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Cora Duncan of Odessa; son, Johnny Duncan of Odessa; daughters, Shirley Gillespie of Austin, Carolyn Duncan of Odessa, Ruth Caulk of Pekin, Ill. and Judy McElyea of Odessa; sisters, Ila Ruth Dittmore and Alma Jewel Puckett, both of Mission; 12 grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

MONAHANS _ Evangelina Lujan, infant daughter of Ezequiel Jr. and Trinidad Lujan of Monahans, died Monday, Oct. 27, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Iglesia Apostelica De La Fe En Cristo Jesus with Roman Arreola officiating. Interment will be at Monahans Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Harkey Funeral Home., She was born in Monahans and was a Apostelica.

Minnie Lou Nix
EASTLAND _ Minnie Lou Nix, 76, a retired nurse, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 1997, at Eastland Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Roberts officiating. Burial will be at Eastland City Cemetery. Arrangements by Edwards Funeral Home.
She was born in Lubbock County and moved to Eastland in 1966. She was a member of the Daugherty Street Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Daughters, Edith Thompson of Austin, Rosa Caldwell of San Angelo, Mary Fokken and Ann Vaughan, both of Houston; sons, Bill Stormes and Gene Stormes of Odessa; 22 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Hazel Parkerson
MIDLAND _ Hazel Pearl Parkerson, 92, of Odessa, died Monday, Oct. 27, 1997, at an Odessa nursing home.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Memorial Park with the Rev. Bob Porterfield officiating. Arrangements by Ellis Funeral Home.
She was born in Wynewood, Okla., and moved to Odessa in 1951.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Plez Abney of Odessa and Archie Abney of Midland; daughter, Altha Thrasher of Odessa.

Etta Peacock
ODESSA _ Etta Peacock, 94, a homemaker, of Odessa died Sunday, Oct. 26, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

She was born in Llano and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Juan Perez
PECOS _ Juan Nabarete Perez, 88, of Pecos died Sunday, Oct. 26, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

He was born in Candelaria and had lived in Pecos for 69 years. He was a Catholic.
SURVIVORS: Son, Juan Perez Jr. of Woodward, Okla.; daughter, Frances Garcia of Pecos; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Rosita Ramos
ODESSA _ Rosita Tijerina Ramos, 76, retired from Rosita's Day Nursery, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 1997, in Midland.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Martinez Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Juan Gaona officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Martinez Funeral Home.
She was born in Mission and lived in Odessa for 48 years. She was a Baptist.

Ramos, David Noel Ramos and Edward Gabriel Vigil, all of Odessa; brothers, Rogelio Tijerina and Crispin Tijerina, both of Odessa; sisters, Lela Rodriguez of Post, Alicia Rodriguez of Odessa; Gume Tavarez of Bethany, Okla.; half-sister, Adelina Garza of Corpus Christi; half-brothers, Ramiro Flores of Corpus Christi and Jose Lupe Flores of Killeen; and 29 grandchildren.

Barbara White
MIDLAND _ Barbara Nell Awalt White, 72, retired co-owner of White's Grading and Excavating Company, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 1997, at Memorial Rehabilitation Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Robinson officiating.
She was born in Carlsbad, N.M. and moved to Midland in 1978.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Alan White of Valdez, Alaska and Paul R. White of Anchorage, Alaska; brothers, Arch Awalt of Sacramento, Calif. and Jerry Dan Awalt of Andrews; sisters, Norma Robinson and Mona Hale, both of Midland; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Edward Draughan
KERMIT _ Edward Louis Draughan, 20, a stocker for Coca-Cola, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 1997, in Amarillo.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Eastside Church of Christ with Jody Garrett, H.A. Bowens and Brian McGonagill officiating. Burial will be at Kermit Cemetery. Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home.
He was a lifetime resident of Kermit. He was a member of the Army National Guard and the Church of Christ.
SURVIVORS: Parents, Jessie Alexander and James Alexander, both of Kermit; sisters, Glinda R. Thompson of Odessa and Shannon Yvette Thompson of Amarillo; and grandmothers, Mary Ann Thompson of Kermit and Ruby Woods of Denver.

Buford Dulin
DENVER CITY _ Buford Lawrence Dulin, 83, retired from Yoakum County Hospital, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 1997, at Veterans Administration Hospital in Big Spring after a lengthy illness.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Denver City Memorial Park with the Rev. Jim Auld officiating. Arrangements by Roger Pool Funeral Home in Seminole.
He was born in Bellevue, Clay County, was a resident of Denver City for 53 years. He was a Baptist and an Army veteran of World War II.
SURVIVORS: Sons, Joe Wheeler of Ingleside, Larry Dulin of Burnet, Mike Dulin of Kilgore and Pat Dulin of Andrews; daughter, Wan Smith of The Woodlands; brother, W.B. ``Dub'' Dulin of Denver City; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Golda Ervin
ANDREWS _ Golda N. Ervin, 74, a retired registered nurse, died Sunday Oct. 26, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Andrews County Cemetery with the Rev. Nick Gates officiating. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
She was born in Comanche County and moved to Odessa in 1965 from Andrews. She was Baptist.
SURVIVORS: Sons; Robert D. Ervin and Henry P. Ervin, both of Odessa and Carl W. Ervin of Venus; brother, Lawrence Allen of Big Spring; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Bobbie Evans
CRANE _ Bobbie Evans, 71, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

She was born in Fort Towson, Okla., and moved to Crane in 1955. She was a member of Crane Christian Church.
SURVIVORS: Husband, Jack Evans of Crane; son, Mike Evans of Slaton; daughter, Sue Elder of Midland; sister, Joyce Estes of Crane; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

ODESSA _ Jack Elvin Gunkel, 80, a retired drilling superintendent, died Monday, Oct. 27, 1997, at Medical Center Hospital.

He was born in Coyle, Okla., and was a resident of Odessa. He was a Lutheran.

PALESTINE _ Robert LaWayne ``Robby'' Hamill, 30, a field supervisor for 4-H Oil Field Services, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 1997, in Palestine.

He was born in Odessa and moved to Palestine in 1984. He was a member of Trinity Valley Community Church.

She was born in Myro and moved to Odessa in 1994 from Phoenix. She was Baptist.

FORT STOCKTON _ Twyman D. Poe, 58, a roughneck in the oil industry, died Monday, Oct. 27, 1997, in Odessa.

He was born in Brady and had been a resident of Fort Stockton since August, having moved from Plains. He was Baptist.

ODESSA _ Elizabeth ``Betty'' Jean Sutton, 72, a retired waitress, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 1997, at Brownwood Regional Hospital.

She was born in Omaha, Neb., and was a resident of Coleman.

MONAHANS _ Jesus Tavarez, 34, an employee of R & H Well Service, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 1997, at Lubbock University Medical Center.

He was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, and was a longtime resident of Monahans. He was a Catholic.

He was born in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, and was a resident of Odessa.

ODESSA _ V.L. Stevens, 75, a retired oil field mechanic, died Monday, Oct. 27, 1997, at his residence.
No services will be held. Arrangements by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. He was born in Knoxville, Tenn., and was a resident of Odessa. He was an Army veteran.

Andrew Valles
