Braunfels, at the age of 45 years. Mr. Esquivel is survived by his wife,
Amelia Esquivel, of New Braunfels; son, Valentin M. Esquivel of New Braunfels;
brothers, Guillermo, Leonel, Ramero, Daniel and Noe Esquivel; sisters,
Elida Gonzales and Irma Salinas; father, Vincente Esquivel; and one aunt,
Josefa Campos.

Florence Riedel, age 81, of New Braunfels, passed away on Saturday,
May 4, 2002 at the home of her daughter, Gloria, after a short battle with
cancer. Florence K. Riedel was born April 26, 1921 at Bracken, Texas to
Frank and Clara Hohmann Kneupper. She attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic
School and graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1939 and from Draughon
Business School in San Antonio. She was a life long resident of the city
of New Braunfels and was of German ancestry, with her maternal grandmother
immigrating from Germany. She also maintained contact with relatives in
Germany and exchanged visits with these relatives frequently. She was the
school secretary at Carl Schurz Elementary for 20 years. Florence was a
member of the Chamber of Commerce, New Braunfels March and Wundedgruppe,
The German American Society, The German Texan Heritage Society of Austin,
the German Guild School of Austin, honorary member of the Knights of Columbus,
Christian Mother’s Society of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish, the Greater Arts
Council of New Braunfels, New Braunfels Senior Citizens, Ladies VFW Aux.

School District, Spanish class, Courtesy Commitee of Retired Teachers,
Retired Chamber of Commerce, American Volksport Association and the International
Volksportverban, and was a Girl Scout Leader for 12 years. She traveled
extensively in Europe, Alaska, the Bahamas, Mexico, and had gone through
the Panama Canal. She spoke German fluently and had a working knowledge
of Spanish.
Florence was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David. Florence
is survived by her daughter and sons-in-law, Gloria and Glenn Hitzfelder
and Rose and Lyle Anderson and grandsons, Gene and Gerald Hitzfelder and
Gene’s wife, Rachel.
Visitation was on Monday from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. A Rosary was recited

Harvey Frank Boyce, age 75 of Canyon Lake, Texas died Saturday, May
4, 2002 at his residence. He was born December 25, 1926 in Donna, Texas
to Elmer Alva and Tommie (Williams) Boyce. Mr. Boyce served in the U. S.
Army during World War II and received a BA Degree from the University of
Texas at Austin. He lived at Canyon Lake for the past 15 years and was
formerly of Donna, Texas, where he was a farmer and rancher in The Valley.

Richard Davis, age 76 of Seguin, Texas passed away Friday, May 3, 2002
at The Arboretum of New Braunfels.
He was born May 12, 1925 in New Braunfels, Texas to Johnny and Mary
Etta Davis. Mr. Davis married Lillian White Davis and was a resident of
Seguin for 10 years. Mr. Davis was a truck driver and member of Allen Chapel-AME.
Mr. Davis enjoyed fishing, dominos and playing cards.

As a lifelong resident of New Braunfels she enjoyed bowling, crocheting

Mrs. Dolle was born on June 28, 1911 in String Prairie, Texas to Adolph
Ott, Sr. and Emilie Berger Ott.
She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Dolle, Sr. who passed
away on December 23, 1970. Mr. and Mrs. Dolle were married on September
27, 1932.

Clarence Dolle and wife Alice of Garden Ridge and Larry Dolle and wife

J.C. Kneuper, a lifelong resident of New Braunfels, passed away, Friday,
May 10, 2002, in Gonzales, Tx., at the age of 81. He was born on December
17, 1920 to Oscar and Melita Schulze Kneuper. He graduated from New Braunfels
High School class of 1938 and worked at the Airmaid Hosiery Mill from 1938-1940,
Kelley Air Field as an Instrument repairman from 1940-1942, and later attended
Civilian Pilot School in San Marcos in 1942. In 1942 he enlisted in the
Army Air-Corps. During his military service he was the Army Air-Corps Troop
Carrier Pilot in 1944 and in China from 1945-1946. He attended the University
of Texas at Austin from 1946-1948, and the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
Industrial School of Chicago in 1949. He married Marjorie C. Klar on July
1, 1950 in New Braunfels. Mr. Kneuper was a member of Saints Peter &
Paul Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and was Grand Knight the
year the KC hall was built. He worked for the San Antonio City Public Service
and retired in 1983 after 32 years of dedicated service. He is survived
by his loving wife Majorie C. Kneuper of New Braunfels; daughters, Christine
Scheel and husband Fred of New Braunfels, Francine Hartmann and husband
Max of Doss, TX. Jeanine Riding and husband Gary of New Braunfels, Kathleen
Hafley and husband Richard of New Braunfels, and Charlene Kramer and husband
Ronnie of New Braunfels; brother, Elgin Kneuper and wife Jean of New Braunfels;
sister-in-law, Anita Fischer of New Braunfels; Sixteen grandchildren, sixteen

Olene Reece Holleman died at McKenna Hospital on May 12, 2002 at 99
years, 4 months, 7 days. She had been a resident at Eden Home for the past
three years. Prior to that she lived in Brownwood, Texas. She was born
on January 5, 1903 at Hassie, Texas. Mrs. Holleman was a school teacher,
a homemaker, a Sunday school teacher for 65 years, and the mother of 5
children. She is survived by her children; Dr. Vernon D. Holleman and wife
Shirley of Temple, Texas, Gwendolyn Arnold and husband Bill of New Braunfels,
Dale Holleman and wife Dottie of Rising Star, Texas, Dr. Dan Holleman and
wife Donna of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Ola Faye Harrison of Austin; 14 Grandchildren,
Douglas, Ricky, & Joel Holleman, Jim Foy, David, & Billy Arnold,
Wayne, Bart, & Blake Holleman, Angela Babb, Danelle Aldreghretti, Cindy
Hatfield, Ryan and Holly Harrison. She is also survived by 23 great grandchildren
and 5 step grandchildren. She is preceded in death in 1976 by her husband
of 48 years, Vernon Holleman.
Funeral Services will be conducted at Calvary Baptist church at 2:00
pm in Brownwood, Texas on Thursday, May 16, 2002. Burial will be in the
family plot at the Jordan Springs Cemetery in Brownwood, Texas.
HEINTZ
Nora Florene Heintz, passed away Sunday May 12, 2002 at the Eden Home,
at the age of 86. Born May 13, 1915 in Alpine, Texas. Her parents were
Willie and Rosa Ward Murphy. She grew up in Brady, Texas. She was married
to Otto Heintz, who died in 1963. Mrs. Heintz lived in Corpus Christi until
she moved to New Braunfels in 1997. She has lived in Eden Home since 1998.
Mrs. Heintz is survived by her sister Alma Garlington, who also lives in
Eden Home in New Braunfels., also she is survived by two nieces, Marjorie
Sullivan and husband Daniel of Houston and Betty Haas and husband Alfred
of New Braunfels. She also has three great nieces, a great nephew and eight
great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday May 14, 2002
from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Cage Mills Funeral Directors in Corpus Christi,
Texas. Graveside services will be Wednesday May 15, 2002 at 2:00 PM at
Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Emily Villarreal passed away on Monday, May 13, 2002 at the McKenna
Memorial Hospital at the age of 55 years. Visitation will begin at 12:00
Noon Tuesday at the Zoeller Funeral Home and continue until 9:30 A.M. Thursday.
A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
