Roberta Inell Smith
LEBANON --Graveside funeral services are planned for 2 PM Thursday, April 10 at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens for Mrs., Smith, 51. An accounts receivable clerk with Smith Kline Pharmaceuticals, Mrs. Smith died April 4 at the McFarland Specialty Hospital.
She was born in Wartburg and was a licensed practical nurse. Services will be conducted by Pastor Dan Dozier.
Survivors include: husband Gordon Smith, SSGT. Charles (Jennie') Derflinger of Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany. Also surviving are parents the Rev. Kenneth and Audrey Walker Wilson of Lebanon, grandsons Jarred and Jacob Derflinger and sister Karen (David) Kamer of Lebanon.

Elizabeth Pauline Carter
LEBANON --Funeral services have been scheduled for 3 PM Wednesday, April 9at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Carter, 95. A housewife and a member of the Maple Hill Church of Christ, Mrs. Carter died April 7 at her residence.
Bourn in Auburntown, she was the daughter of the late Willie C. and Etna Davenport and the widow of the late Claude Carter. The family will receive friends Tuesday between the hours of 3 - 9 PM and Wednesday from 11 AM - 3 PM at the Partlow Funeral Chapel, 602 South Cumberland Street.
Services will conducted by Bro. Kenneth Head with burial at the Wilson County Memorial Park. Survivors include: daughter Claudette (Wayne) Goad of Lebanon and grandchildren Bethany (Tommy) Wright of Murfreesboro and Robbie Goad of Hermitage. Also surviving are great, grandchildren Olivia Wright and Caroline Wright -- both of Murfreesboro; nephews Tom Mathis and Brents Mathis and niece Ruth Witt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Verna Mathis and Estel Davenport, brother Palmer Davenport and nephew Wood Mathis. Pallbearers will include: Billy Joe Fields, David Tomlinson, Russell Witt, Tommy Wright, David Purnell, Robert Halbert, Joe Overstreet and Kai Grissom. Honorary pallbearers: Brents Mathis, Tom Mathis, Lynn Harris and Earl Goad.

Anna Broyles
LEBANON --Funeral services are planned for 10 AM Wednesday, April 9 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Broyles, 96, of Lebanon. Born in Rutherford County, Mrs. Broyles died April 7 at the Quality Care Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Adams Avenue Church of Christ and the widow of the late Verner Clifton Broyles. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 8 between the hours of 9 AM - 9 PM at the Partlow Funeral Chapel, 602 South Cumberland Street.
Services will be conducted by Bro. Wayne Smith with burial at the Evergreen Cemetery in Murfreesboro.
Survivors include: daughter Naomi Arbuckle of Lebanon and grandchildren Janie (Bobby) Edwards, JoAnn (Clyde) Edwards and Barbara Overstreet. Also surviving are six great grandchildren and eight great, great grandchildren.

Beatrice Bradshaw Houdeshell
MT. JULIET -- Funeral services are planned for 1 PM Tuesday, April 8 at the Bond Memorial Chapel for Mrs. Houdeshell, 89. A member of the Mt. Juliet Church of Christ, she died April 6.
Services will be conducted by Burnice Westbrooks with burial at the Spring Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include: daughter Margie Blair, grandson Brad Wyatt and great grandson Austin Wyatt -- all of Mt. Juliet. Also surviving are brothers Craig (Barbara) Bradshaw, Vester (Judy) Bradshaw and Wilson (Frances) Bradshaw and sisters Ann (Bill) Phillips and Georgia Dixon.

Randall Lynn Walker
LEBANON -- Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, April 8 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Walker, 57, of Lebanon. A mechanic, retired from Textron Aerospace, Mr. Walker died April 6 following an extended illness.
He has served in the Tennessee Air National Guard and was a member of the Southside Baptist Church, where he served as assistant song leader. The family will receive friends until 9 PM Monday and Tuesday from 10 AM until the 2 PM service at the Partlow Funeral Chapel, 602 South Cumberland Street. Funeral services will be conducted by Bro. Greg Moser with burial at a private family cemetery.
Survivors include: his wife Jeannette Bryan Walker, mother Gladys Buhler Walker, children Anthony (Allison) Walker of Lebanon and Rhonda (Michael) Anderson of Watertown. Also surviving are stepchildren Angela (Michael) Lalonde, Becky A. Martin and Jimmy Carter (Marilyn) Martin -- all of Lebanon, four grandchildren and five step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Harry Hamilton "Hamp" Walker and sister Rita Gay Walker. Active pallbearers will include: Bobby Patterson, Carl Bailey, Kenneth Bailey, Giles Weston, Clint Draper and Roger Sherill. Honorary: Jeff Smith, Jerry Troutt, Ray Crutcher, Buford Crutcher, Al Cook, Billy Price, Billy McDonald, Paul Carson, Greg Carson, William Barrett, Roger McMillan, Ken Martin, Johnnie Williams and David Clay.

Raymond Cecil Perry
MT. JULIET --Funeral services are planned for 10 AM Tuesday, April 8 at the Bond Memorial Chapel for Mr. Perry, 69. A member of Victory Baptist Church and a former Deacon of Delhi Hill Baptist Church in Cincinnati, OH, Mr. Perry died April 5.He was retired from Consolidated Freight as a dispatcher.
Visitation with the family will be from  6 - 9 PM Monday at the Bond Memorial Chapel, 1098 Weston Drive.  Services will be conducted by Bro. Chuck Groover. Interment will be Wednesday at Russell Memorial Cemetery in Lebanon, VA
Survivors include his wife Betty June Perry of Mt. Juliet; children Dianne (Randy) Clark of Cincinnati, OH, Beth Williams of Mt. Juliet and Scott (Janis) Perry of Memphis. Also surviving are sisters Kathlene Martin of Louisville, KY and Betty Ruth Jessee of Bristol, VA; brothers, Daniel Perry of Somerville, TX and James Perry of Louisville, KY; grandchildren Elaine Harris, Alicia Clark, Adam Williams and Jacob Williams; great grandchildren, David Whitley and Eli Harris; several nieces and nephews.

Willie "Bill" Whited, Jr.
LEBANON --Funeral services were held Friday, April 4 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Whited, 75, of Lebanon. A Wilson County native and a former employee of Southern Mold Builders, Mr. Whited died April 2 at the University Medical Center.
He was a charter member of the Southside Baptist Church and served as music director at the church for several years. He was the son of the late Willie and Emma Whited.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Richard Buckner and the Rev. Ken Hucks with burial at the Wilson County Memorial Park.
Survivors include: his wife Alma Dean Whited and children Randy (Vickie) Whited, Pam Hodge, Gina (David) Cummings and Kim (Billy) Williams -- all of Lebanon. Also surviving are brother Mack Whited of Lebanon and sister June (James) Foster of Paris; grandchildren Chad Whited, Bradley Whited, Blake Williams, Justin Williams, Jimmy Wayne Hodge, Josh Hodge and Jacob Hodge and three great, grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Lois Whited, Lillian Jones, Mamie Reed and Ida Wright. Pallbearers include: Chad Whited, Billy Williams, Jimmy Wayne Hodge, Blake Williams, Bradley Whited, David Cummings, Jacob Hodge and Justin Hodge. Partlow Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

James Williams
HARTSVILLE --Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 3 at the Anthony Funeral Home for Mr. Williams, 76. "Big Red", as he was known to his many friends, died Saturday afternoon May 31 at the University Medical Center in Lebanon.
Services were conducted by Bro. Jim Growden and Bro. James Bell. Interment will be at the Dixon Springs Cemetery. Survivors include: his wife Mrs. Georgia Williams of Hartsville; children Michael Williams of Gallatin, Keith (Emily) Williams of Lebanon and Beth Williams of Hartsville. Also surviving are grandchildren April Holder of Hartsville, Tifina Williams of Gallatin; three great grandchildren; and brothers H.C. Williams of Missoula, Montana and Aubrey Williams of Hartsville.

Janice Ash Garrison
LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 4 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mrs. Garrison, 52. Born in Rapid City, South Dakota, Mrs. Garrison was a factory worker. She died Sunday, June 1 at the Alive Hospice in Nashville following an extended illness.
Services were conducted by Bro. Sam Foreman with burial at the Hall Cemetery in the Smith County community of Sykes.
Survivors include: husband Michael Lawrence Garrison and sons: Joshua Ryan Garrison and Phillip Dwayne Basham. Also surviving are sisters Pamela K. (Erik) Hagleburg of Lyles, Cynthia M. (Steve) Farrar of Murfreesboro and Kimberly A. (Jim) Flaherty of Clarksville; brothers Roger (Mary) Ash of Louisville, KY, Richard (Patty) Ash of Smyrna, Jimmy (Ilene) Ash of Murfreesboro and Jay D. (Kris) Ash of Rochester NH.
The family has requested memorials be made to the building fund at the Church of God of Prophecy.

Claude Allen Overstreet
MT. JULIET -- Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 3 at Hermitage Funeral Home  for Mr. Overstreet, 81. Retired from the Metro Nashville / Davidson County School System, Mr. Overstreet died May 30. Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Survived include his wife, Betty Overstreet; children Lyn McClendon, Pat (David) Biggs, Allen Chuck (Georgeann) St. Charles, Barry Overstreet and Garry Overstreet. Also surviving are granddaughters, Gina (Daniel) Chatham and Nicola Overstreet; grandsons, James Chris Lackey and Jonathon Toombs; great grandsons, Nathan Chatham and Quinn Chatham; brothers, John Overstreet, Doug Overstreet, Edwin "Eb" Overstreet and Alton Overstreet; sisters, Ruby Allison and Sybil Miller.

Ed Plumlee
LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 3 at the Church of God of Prophecy on West Spring Street, for Mr. Plumlee, 71. A brick mason and U.S. Army veteran (Korean War) Mr. Plumlee died May 31 at the University Medical Center.
He was born in Cumberland County, KY, Mr. Plumlee was a deacon at the Church of God of Prophecy and the son of the late Everett D. and Emma Hulse Plumlee. Services were conducted by the Rev. Marion Caruthers, the Rev. Danny Sellars and the Rev. Jack Lackey with burial at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include: his wife Sammie McKee Plumlee, daughters Marla Plumlee and Amanda Plumlee and grandson Brandon Ross McKee Plumlee -- all of Lebanon. Also surviving are brothers: Everett (Ernestine) Plumlee Jr., Dallas Ray (Lillian) Plumlee and Dorlis Gene (Sharon) Plumlee -- all of Lebanon and John Denton (Gladys) Plumlee of Bethpage.
Honorary pallbearers included: Bobby Joe Reed, Sammy Raines, Johnny Gulley, Jarrel Hargis, Bobby Ash, Jerry Carr, Bobby Bobo, Roy Pruitt, Tommy Hailey and Darnell Caviness. Active pallbearers included: Kevin, Ronnie, John Allen Darin and Ricky Plumlee and Josh Brooks.

James Carter Martin
LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Friday, May 30 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. James Carter Martin, 65, of Lebanon. Owner of Martin Motor Company on North Cumberland Street, Mr. Martin died Wednesday afternoon, May 28 at the University Medical Center following an extended illness.
A native of Wilson County and affiliated with the Gladeville Baptist Church, Mr. Martin was well-known in the community for his sense of humor and his devotion to family and friends. Services were conducted by the Rev. Danny Sellars and the Rev. Richard Buckner. Burial will be at the Caraway Cemetery in Gladeville.
Survivors included: his mother Mrs. Fredrick Carter Boshers, the mother of his children Jeanette Bryan Martin Walker, son Jimmy Carter (Marilyn) Martin and daughters Angela (Michael) Lalonde and Becky Martin. Also surviving are brother Charles "Butch" (Twyla) Martin and sisters Betty (George) Lannom, Emmaline (Bud) Harmon, Charlene (Joe) Allmon and Teresa Boyd. Also surviving are grandchildren Leitte Lalonde and fiancée Patrick Meier, Lucy Lalonde, Rachel Martin, Elizabeth Martin and Clint Martin as well as several nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers included: Clint Martin, Don Allmon, Frank Lannom, Chad Lannom, Damien Boyd, John Boyd, Matt Martin, Travis Harmon, Danny Tidwell, Gene Jones and Perry Lankford. Honorary pallbearers included: Robert Hatton Knowles, T.A. Bryan, W.D. Martin, Jim Kinnard, Johnny Knowles, Ann Boyd, Vickie Araujo, Harvey Ligon, Kenny Lapoint, Jay White, Johnny Martin and Andrew Dudley Martin, Jr.
He was preceded in death by his father Frank Martin and brother Buck Martin. Partlow Funeral Chapel was in charge of all arrangements. 

John William Bucy
LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Saturday, May 31 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Bucy, 88. Born in Rutherford County he lived most of his live in Wilson County. He died May 29 at the University Medical Center. He was a member of the College Hills Church of Christ.
Services were conducted by Dr. Larry Locke with burial at the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Survivors included: sons Bob Bucy and Larry (Linda) Bucy; granddaughters Priscilla Jackson and Deana Green; a sister and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Johnnie Bucy and daughter-in-law Deanie Bucy. Family and friends served as pallbearers.

Ethel Ghrigsby Smith
LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Saturday, May 31 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mrs. Smith, 82. A beautician and a beauty shop owner for many years, Mrs. Smith died May 28 at the Cedars Health Care Center in Lebanon. Born in Alabama, she was a member of the College Hills Church of Christ.
Services were conducted by Dr. Larry Locke with burial at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Survivors included: daughters Gwen (Mike) Smith of Lebanon and Wanda (Warren) Parker of Myrtle Beach, SC. Also surviving are grandchildren Kevin (Tuesday) Smith and Chris (Wanda) Smith -- both of Carthage and Phillip James (Lindy) Smith of Lebanon. Great grandchildren Kayla Smith, Breanna Smith, Hawk Smith survive as do step great grandchildren Angel and Travis Wooden of Lebanon and step great, great grandchildren Caleb and McKenzi Wooden. 
She was preceded in death by husband James Lawrence Smith, who died in June of 2000 and step great grandson Mark Wooden. Pallbearers included: Kevin, Chris and Jamie Smith, Dan, Mac and Stephen Ghrigsby. Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Charles M. Caldwell
LEBANON -- Funeral services were held Saturday, May 31 at the Sellars Funeral Home for Mr. Caldwell, 75, of Lebanon. Born in DeKalb County, he died May 28 at his residence.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Danny Sellars and Bro. Buford Bane with burial at the Cedar Grove Cemetery. Survivors included: his wife of 57 years Willie L. Hamlett Caldwell; children Debbie (Larry) bane of South Carthage, Agnes (Jeff) Gammons of Defeated Creek, Kathy Mofield of Hartsville, Ronnie (Miranda) Caldwell and Joseph Caldwell -- both of Lebanon -- and Danny (Kim) Caldwell of Carthage. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers included: Sherman Johnson, Alex Dunham, Frank Hall, Willie B. Bane, Donnie Young and David Hemontolor. Grandsons served as honorary pallbearers. Sellars Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
