Maggie Louise Hedgepath, 85, passed away October 31, 2001. She is survived by sister, Oletha Seaborn of Hermitage and brother, Randolph Kelley of Hartsville; nephews Jerry, Billy, Hardy, Mike and Gary Wayne Seaborn, David Moore and Ricky Kelley; nieces, Sandra Earhart, Darlene Montgomery and Randy Phipps. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Hedgepath. Funeral services were held on Friday, November 2, 2001 at Mt. Juliet Funeral Home with Bro. Curtis Hall and Bro. wayne Coats officiating. Buriel followed in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.

James Stanley Crabtree

Mr. James Stanley Crabtree, 47, passed away October 14, 2001 at Williamson Medical Center. Mr. Crabtree was a maintenance supervisor for the city of Franklin and a member of the Fourth Ave. Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife Lisa D. Crabtree of Fairview; Son, Stanley Frank Crabtree of Franklin; Sisters, Trudy Tidwell of Columbia and Gail Hemby of Charlotte; Brothers, Richard Crabtree of Nashville, Marc Crabtree of Franklin and Samuel Crabtree of Nashville; Several nieces and nephews. Services were held on October 18, 2001 at Franklin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Greg Wood officiating. Buriel followed in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Jodie W. Musick

Mr. Jodie W. Musick, 74, passed away on October 6, 2001 in Nashville. He is survived by his wife Louise; Son, Larry (Kathy) Musick; Granddaughter, Ashley and grandson Geoffrey, all of Fairview; Brothers, Dennis Musick of Columbia, MO, Kenneth Musick of Denver, CO, Chester Musick of Yuma, AZ, Lonnie Musick and John Musick both of Odessa, TX; Sisters, Stella Bullion of Columbia, MO and Louann Hildreath of Franklin, TN. Mr. Musick was a member of the Harpeth Hills Church of Christ. Funeral services were held October 9, 2001 at Harpeth Hills Chapel with Chris Smith officiating. Interment followed in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends served as Pallbearers.

Joann Lee Tiesler

Joann Lee Tiesler, 30, passed away October 7, 2001. She is survived by mother, Janie Wells of Fairview; Father, Tom (Janey) Tiesler of Kingston Springs; Brother, Cayce (Beth) Tiesler of Pegram; Nephews, Kyle and Patrick Tiesler both of Pegram; Grandfather Ed Maxcy of Hendersonville; Uncle, Lee Maxcy; Fiance, Larry Flowers of Rome, Ga. Joann was pure love and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Services were held on October 12, 2001 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with Bedford and Melissa Combs officiating. Interment followed in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.

Alma Christine Chester

Alma Christine Chester, 66, passed away May 28, 2002 at Williamson Medical Center. Ms. Chester was a resident of Fairview and worked for Franklin Manor in environmental services. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Leslie “Jack” and Rosetta Tidwell Hughes, brothers, William “Dub” Hughes and Charles “Buddy” Hughes. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa (John) Pemerton of Antioch; brother, Cecil (Shirley) Hughes of Fairview, sister-in-law, Nellie Hughes of Franklin; grandchildren, Lindsey Bowker of Nashville and Chelsea Walters of Antioch; 2 nieces; 7 nephews.
Funeral services were held May 31, 2002 from Franklin Memorial Chapel with Rev. J.W. Shoulders officiating. Interment followed in Hudgins Cemetery.

Robert E. Green, Jr.

Mr. Robert E. Green, Jr., 35, passed away May 15, 2002 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a long struggle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Green; children, Josh Green, Zebe Green, and Miley Green; sisters, Teri (Rick) Frazier, Rene (Jeff) Johnson, Christina Kelly, and Amber Patterson; brother, Craig Patterson. Also survived are his father and stepmother, Bob and Carol Green; mother, Montye Kelly, mother and father-in-law, Jerry and Linda Taylor; brother-in-law, Travis (Donna) Taylor; grandfather-in-law, Leo Taylor; 4 nephews; 3 nieces.

William Mark Hall

Mr. William Mark Hall, 42, passed away May 29, 2002. He is preceded in death by his father William Thomas Hall. He is survived by his mother Peggy (Alton) Anglin of Franklin; brothers, Thomas Noel (Tina) Hall of Old Hickory, Kenneth Wade (Karen) Hall of Fairview, Ricky Lee (Jenny) Hall of Kingston Springs, Alton (Anna) Anglin Jr. of Bon Aqua, and Anthony Anglin of Franklin; sister, Carolyn (Harold) Coleman of Franklin; 7 nieces; 3 nephews.
Mark was a professional florist in Nashville for many years and recently with Smith and Rogers Florist and was a member of the Central Tennessee Professional Florist Association.
Funeral services were held May 31, 2002 from the Harpeth Hills Chapel. Family and friends served as pallbearers.

Iris Ohal Holobar

Iris Ohal Holobar, 75, passed away May 29, 2002 at her residence in Fairview. She is preceded in death by her parents James Erion, Sr and Beulah McClain. Ms. Holobar was a retired school teacher from Little Rock Arkansas Public Schools and played professional women’s basketball for Hazel Walker’s Red Heads.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Holobar of Fairview and Lynne Wahl of Winslow, AR.; sister, Selmarie VanDerGriff of Laurel, MD.
A memorial service is planned for June 4, 2002 at the Senior Citizen Center in Fairview.

John Thomas “Bro” Pewitt

Mr. John Thomas “ Bro” Pewitt, 67, passed away May 25, 2002 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson.
Mr. Pewitt is survived by his wife Vicky Pewitt of Bon Aqua; sons, Thomas Wayne Pewitt of Dickson, and William Stanley Pewitt of of Lyles; daughters, Sharon Darlene Weaver, Carol Elaine Luffman, Cynthia Regina Ivy, all of Fairview, and Mary Colene Pewitt of Bon Aqua; brothers, William and Vernon Pewitt of Lyles, James H. Pewitt of Bon Aqua, and Paul Pewitt of Charlotte; sisters, Mary warden and Ruby Toombs of Dickson, Lucille Pewitt of Lyles, and Diane Parham of Nunnelly; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held May 28, 2002 from the Fairview Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Brother Ray Boyd officiating. Interment followed in Harpeth Hills Cemetery.

John Roger Staley

Mr. John Roger Staley, 66, passed away May 30, 2002 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Mr. Staley was a resident of Fairview.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa White Staley; sons, John Robert Staley of California, Thomas Alan and Scott Andrew Staley of Fairview; brother, Lloyd Staley of New Mexico; sister, Kay Konkler of Rockbridge, Ohio.
Funeral services were held June 2, 2002 at the Fairview Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home. Burial followed in Union Cemetery in Dickson.
Susie Louise Wright
Susie Louise Wright, 91, passed away May 21, 2002. Daughter of the late Noah and Etta Forest Lampley. She was a retired cafeteria server for David Lipscomb University and was a member of the Five Points Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Wright; daughters, Marie Wright, Patsy Nichols, and Nellie Tidwell.
She is survived by sons, James Wright of Fairview, Billy Wright of Richmond, KY; daughter, Bettye Douglas of Smyrna; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandhchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brothers, Lester, Leroy and Sterling Lampley, all of Bon Aqua.
Services were held May 23, 2002 at McDonald Funeral Home in Centerville with Elvis Williams and Bill McDonald officiating. Interment followed in New Hope Cemetery.

Hillard Alvin Pack

Mr. Hillard Alvin Pack, 55, Passed away May 20, 2002 at his residence in Fairview. Mr. Pack is survived by his brother, William (Buddy) Pack of Fairview, and his sister, Lela Ophelia Lee of Kingston Springs.
Funeral services were held May 23, 2002 from the Fairview Chapel of Dickson Funeral Home with Brother Joe McGall officiating. Interment followed in the Pinkerton-New Hope Cemetery in Williamson County.

Thomas P. Bradford, Sr.

Mr. Thomas P. Bradford, Sr.,88 passed away May 8, 2002. Mr. Bradford was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Bradford. He is survived by his children, Thomas Bradford of Fairview, Peggy Connolly of Nashville, Carolyn Gill and Betty Grammer, both of Kingston Springs; brother, Carlos Bradford of Blue Ridge Mtn., GA.

Gilbert Thomas Gordon, 78, a Fairview farmer, died Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at University Medical Center in Lebanon.
Gilbert is survived by his son, Milton Gordon of Nashville; sisters, Gladys Rainey of Franklin, Tennessee Catherine Dugan of Primm Springs, Tennessee Annie Deal and Pearline Thompson, both of Fairview, Tennessee and Betty Barnhill of Bellevue; brothers, Homer Gordon of Ashland City, Tennessee and Paul Gordon of Primm Springs, Tennessee.
Funeral services were held on Thursday May 2, 2002 at Franklin Memorial Chapel in Franklin, Tennessee with Pastor Milton Gordon officiating. Burial followed in Anglin Cemetery

Martha A. Dickey

Mrs. Martha A. Dickey, 79, passed away March 30, 2002 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Mrs. Dickey was a member of the Kennaappcomoco Home Ec Club, the Wabash County Retired Teachers Association and the Gideons Auxiliary. She graduated from Liberty Center (IN) High School in 1940, from Manchester College in 1943 and completed her Masters Degree from St. Francis College in Ft. Wayne, Indiana in 1973. She retired after 19 years at Laketon Elementary School where she taught learning disabled and second grade. Mrs. Dickey helped develop the Indiana state curriculum for learning disability classes. She was a member of West Eel River Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Kenneth L. Dickey of Silver Lake, IN; son, Ralph Dickey of Silver Lake, IN; daughters, Mary Alice (Gail) Weber of Fairview, Jane Anne (Ted) Curless of North Olmsted, OH and Jo Ellen (Chuck) Hogan of Winona Lake, IN; 10 grandchildren, 1 deceased grandchild; 2 great-grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 3, 2002 at West Eel River Church of the Brethren in Silver Lake Indiana with Rev. Paul Tinkle and Chaplain Joan Deeter officiating.
Burial followed in Elm Gove Cemetery in Bluffton, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Gideons International, or West Eel River Church of the Brethren.

John L. Pewitt

Mr. John L. Pewitt, 86, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2002 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. 
Mr. Pewitt was born in Williamson County, son of the late Henry Hartweld Pewitt and Nettie Thomas Pewitt. He served in the US Navy CB’s during World War II. He was a self employed dozier operator and a farmer. 
He is preceded in death by his wife Nova McCord Pewitt. Survivors include his daughter, Julia Faye (Rodney) Winters of Franklin; sister, Marjorie Hardesty of Burns; grandchild, Darren Winters, great-grandchild, Anthony Winters.
Graveside services were held on March 30, 2002 at Oak Grove Cemetery with Jim Taylor officiating. 

Eddie “Wayne” Clark Jr.

Mr. Eddie “Wayne” Clark Jr., 41, went to be with the Lord March 13, 2002. Beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandson. Preceded in death by grandparents, Preston Russell and Ben and Lela Clark.
Surviviors are his wife, Linda Clark; son, Brandon Clark; stepsons, Keith Bruce, Jeremy Bruce; parents, Eddie W. and Virginia Clark, all of Fairview; sisters, Lisa (Robert) Palmore of Dickson, Lorrie (James) Hall of Dickson; brother, Joseph (Joey) Clark of Fairview; chosen brother, Randall Sexton of Springfield; nieces, Jennifer Palmore, Deanna Hall, Bethany Hall; nephews, Justin Palmore, Jonathon Palmore, Preston Hall, Joseph Clark; many aunts, uncles, cousins.
Wayne was a friend to everyone he met. He was an elevator mechanic for 17 years and a member of the Shelby Ave. Baptist Church. 
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 16, 2002 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with Brother gary Wiggins officiating. Interment followed at harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were members and retirees of Nashville-Chattanooga Elevator Local #93, personnel in the elevator division of Nashville Machine Co. and Otis Elevator Company.

Ethan Kyle Daugherty

Ethan Kyle Daugherty, 10, passed away March 19, 2002. He is survived by his mother and father, James Eric and Paula Daugherty of Bon Aqua; grandparents, Tony and Cheryl Daugherty of Murfreesboro.

Alice Mildred Bryant

Mrs. Alice Mildred Bryant, 62, passed away March 4, 2002 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. She was a member of Crooked Creek Church of Christ in Linden. 
Survivors include her husband Carl Dean Bryant of Linden, TN; daughters, Kathleen Breece and Karen Ann Bowen, both of Centerville; son, Jeffrey Dean Bryant of Nashville; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brothers, Guy Ward Davidson of Fairview, Billy Davidson of Centerville and Cecil Davidson, Jr. of Big Sandy; sisters, Lovie Jean Blocker of Centerville, Corrine Allen Orton of Columbia, Jo Ann Sullivan of Fairview and Patsy Carroll of Centerville.

Tressie Belle Buttrey Sullivan

Tressie Belle Buttrey Sullivan, 86, passed away February 23, 2002 at her residence in Fairview. She was a seamstress with Cain-Sloan, a member of Liberty Hill Church of Christ and the Fairview Senior Citizens. Mrs. Sullivan is preceded in death by her parents, James W. and Sadie May Buttrey, husband of 40 years, Woodrow Wilson Sullivan, sister, Dorothy Sullivan, brother, Archie L. Buttrey, Sr. and granddaughter Candace Sullivan.
She is survived by her daughters, Marjorie (Billy) Lankford and Glenda (Larry) Stinson, all of Fairview; son, Emmett (Sandra) Sullivan of Nashville; brother, Finis Edward (Hazel) Buttrey of Fairview; grandchildren, Cheryl (Gary) Sanford, Larue Tidwell, Christy Lankford, Connie (Steve) Hamley, Carla (Michael) Colletti, Clarissa (Robert) Baltz, Phillip Stinson and Patrice Stinson; great-grandchildren, Stephanie Tidwell, Amanda (Wesley) Brackeen, Stacie Hamley, Ali Hamley, Amber Colletti, Ryan Colletti, Jody Baltz and Jordan Baltz.
Funeral services were held February 25, 2002 at Franklin Memorial Chapel with Curtis Hall and Bob Simmons officiating. Burial followed in Jane Jones Cemetery. Robert A. Wiseman

MSGT/USMC Robert A. Wiseman passed away February 22, 2002. Mr. Wiseman was born October 15, 1932, the son of James and Flossie B. Hill Wiseman. He leaves his wife, Helen M. Wiseman of Fairview; daughter, Glynn M. Richardson of Fairview; son, James Wiseman of Hickman County; sister, Glyn E. Smith Althouse of Escondido, Ca.; grandchildren, Tosha M. and Heather A. Richardson of Fairview, Justin and Brittney Wiseman of Lawrenceburg, TN.; nephews, Treve and Ronald Smith of California, Russel Smith of Tennessee and Mark Smith of Nevada; niece, Sandra Cauthers of California.
Memorial services were held February 27, 2002 from the Fairview Chapel. Graveside services were at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.

Lera Frances Brown “ Barnhill”

Lera Frances Brown “ Barnhill”, 88, passed away January 27, 2002. She is survived by her sister, Hattie Unrich and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home in Nashille January 30, 2002. Interment followed in Spring Hill Cemetery. 

Jerry Winford (Rat) Stinson

Mr. Jerry Winford “ Rat” Stinson, 74, passed away February 17, 2002. Born in Williamson County, he was a veteran of World War II, worked 25 years at CPS and also at Woodlawn Cemetery and Wilbert Vault Company.
Survivors include daughters, Jerre (Paul) Sewell of Franklin and Vicky Hargrove (Richard); sister, Clara Goodreau; grandchildren, Stacy White, Kevin Anness, Brandy Pruitt, Travis, Kimberely and Danny Stinson; 3 great grandchildren; special friend, Rose Rudolph, all of Franklin.
Services were held February 19, 2002 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Jeff Necessary officiating. Inurnment followed in Williamson Memorial Gardens. 

John Willie Bennett

Mr. John Willie Bennett, 94, passed away February 10, 2002 at Williamson Medical Center. Mr Bennett was born in Williamson County, son of the late Wright Bennett and Irene Sears Bennett and made his home in Franklin. He was retired farmer and attended the Baptist church.
Survivors include his brothers, Wright Bennett, Jr of Williamsport, TN and Andrew T. Bennett and wife Sara of Fairview; special nephews and nieces Andy Bennett, Jr., Donna Bennett, Judy Tomlin, Sally Fly, Sara Jane Bennett and Joe Bennett; other nieces and nephews; special great nephew Corey Michael Bennett; other great nieces and nephews; great-great niece Kassidy Warf; special friend, Gladys Shepherd.
Funeral services were February 12, 2002 at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with John House officiating. Burial followed in Williamson Memorial Gardens.

Kathryn Newbern Salmon
Mrs. Kathryn Newbern Salmon, 88, passed away August 17, 2002 at Harpeth Terrace Convalescent Center. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Mamie Corbitt Newbern. Mrs. Salmon was a retired office manager with Princess Coal Sales Company. 
A lifetime member of the Eastern Star Southgate Lodge #177, and a member of the Watts Street Baptist Church in Durham, NC. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Atlas Salmon.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathryn (Charles) McSurdy of Fairview; sister, Maude Salmon of Sanford, NC; grandchild, Michael (Cecily) McSurdy of Franklin; great grandchildren, Michael Evans, Harriet Thanh McSurdy.
Funeral services were held August 20, 2002 at Watts Street Baptist Church in Durham, NC. Burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Humane Society.

Deborah Elizabeth Whitely
Miss Deborah Elizabeth Whitely, 47, passed away August 16, 2002 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. 
Miss Whitely was a computer technician with United Methodist Publishing House in Nashville and a member of First Baptist Church in Fairview. She is preceded in death by her father, George Whitely and grandfathers, Alfred Martin and George Whitely.
Survivors include her mother, Claudine Whitely of Primm Springs; sisters, Joanne (Charles)Booth of Aurora, IL, Kathryn Whitely of Primm Springs; grandmothers, Gladys Martin of Summerville, SC, Elizabeth Cox of Donelson, TN; aunts, Aline Martin of Summerville, SC, Lorena Council of Summerville, SC, Jean Falkowski of Knightsville, SC, Linda Brown of Rock Hill, NC; nephews, Michael, david and Brian Booth, all of Aurora, IL.

Mrs. Dorothy Mercer of Linden, passed away August 9, 2002. Mrs. Mercer was born in Perry County on March 10, 1915, the daughter of the late Gillispi Wilson Duncan Barber and Elizabeth Ozeila Baker Barber. She was preceded in death by her husband Hershel Mercer, son Conrad Allen Mercer, grandsons Michael Horner, Thomas Horner and sister Edith Reeves.
Survivors include her daughters, Wardie (Gene) Lewis of Fairview, Wanda Mazelle (Charles) Horner of Camden, Carolyn (Teddy) Trull of Fairview; grandchildren, Dale Lewis of Fairview, Nick Lewis of Carol Stream, IL., Tracy Trull of Fairview, Terry Trull of Fairview, Kim Lampley of Fairview, Russell Horner of Camden; brothers, Dick Barber of Port Huron, MI., Elvin Barber of Summertown, Finis Barber of Summertown; sisters, Lois Churchwell of Hohenwald, Monnie Reeves of Summertown; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Deborah B. Stewart, 45, passed away July 27, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Jonathan Stewart; son, Jonathan C. Stewart; daughter, Sherri Stewart, all of Fairview; parents, Cecil and Joanne Bratcher of Humbolt, TN,; sister, Cecilia Foster of Nashville; brother, Michael Bratcher of Knoxville; grandchildren, Shelby Walker and Jacob Blaylock. Mrs. Stewart was cremated.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 17 at 2 p.m. at Fairview Church of the Nazarene, 7116 Cumberland Drive.

Mr. David Eugene “Dad” Suffridge, 54, passed away July 26, 2002. Mr. Suffridge was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Walter Marvin Ward, Jr.

Mr. Walter Marvin Ward, Jr., 76, passed away July 29, 2002 at his residence in Centerville, TN. Mr. Ward was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in World War II. He was retired from Genesco after 51 years of service and was a member of Defeated Creek Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Mae Holderfield Ward.
Survivors include his son, Randal (Deborah) Ward of Centerville; granddaughter, Jessica Ward of Centerville; grandson, Bryan Ward of Centerville; sister, Joanne McClanahan of Lexington, TN.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 1,2002 at McDonald Funeral Home in Centerville with Mike Rhea and Don Helton officiating. Burial followed in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Centerville.

Etta Mae McMahan

Mrs. Etta Mae McMahan, 78, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2002 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
A longtime resident of Fairview, she is survived by her son, Paul (Jan) McMahan of Hermitage, Tennessee.; daughters, Denise McMahan and Vickie Baker, both of Fairview; brother, Odes Potts of Primm Springs, Tennessee; grandchildren, Paul McMahan, Jr., Michelle and Sarah McMahan, Zachary Baker, Mara and Arin Greenberg; great grandsons, Benjamin Greenberg, Jacob Renfro and Sean McMahan.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July, 3, 2002 from the Craigfield Southern Methodist Church with Rev. Billy Kinslow officiating. Interment followed in Shady Grove Cemetery.

Frank J. Leverette

Mr. Frank J. Leverette, 75, passed away May 24, 2002. He is preceded in death by parents, O.J. and Annie Leverette; daughter Carolyn Tidwell; several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his devoted wife of 58 years, Beulah Leverette; daughters, Doris (Wayne) Beasley of Lyles, Debbie Jones of Bon Aqua; son-in-law and father of three grandsons, Paul Tidwell of Primm Springs; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; devoted uncle J.T. Watts of Nashville; devoted aggravation partners, and friends, Peanut and Jeanie Nolen. 
Mr. Leverette was retired from Iron Workers Local 492 and was a member of Old Path Baptist Church. He enjoyed life to the fullest.
Funeral services were held May 27, 2002 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with Bro. Andrew Allen officiating. Interment followed at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Hollybelle Eubank

Hollybelle Eubank, 86, died Friday, Oct. 8, at Williamson Medical Center. A native of Horse Cave, Ky., Mrs. Eubank was a lifelong resident of Williamson County. She was retired from the framing department at Jamison Bedding Co. and was a member of Walker Memorial Baptist Church.
Mrs. Eubank was preceded in death by her husband, James Eubank.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Hannah and her husband Bill and Mrs. Emily Cox and her husband Marvin, all of Franklin; five grandchildren, Melissa Miskelley, Sherri Lackey, Phillip Cox, Carey Cox and Bobby Cox; and three great-grandchildren, Shelby Cox, Hannah Catherine Lackey and Luke Miskelley.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Dr. Don Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be the deacons of Walker Memorial Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Isaacs, the card players at J.L. Clay Center, and the Prime Timers at Walker Memorial Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the J.L. Clay Center.

Laura Frances Pewitt Solomon

Laura Frances Pewitt Solomon, 61, died yesterday at St. Thomas Hospital. A native of Williamson County, Mrs. Solomon was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Solomon was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Newman.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest Solomon of the Grassland Community; two sons, David Solomon and his wife Nancy of Rockvale and Kenny Solomon and his wife Linda of Franklin; a brother, Henry M. Pewitt of Madison; two sisters, Agnes Sawyer of the Grassland Community and Ann Young of Franklin; and a grandson, Cody Solomon.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 10 a.m., at Williamson Funeral Home with pastor Jim Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Larry Sawyer, Phillip Sawyer, Johnny Young, Bennie Pewitt, Willie Pewitt and Patrick Pewitt. Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today and noon-9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.

Selia Ann Conatser

Selia Ann Conatser, infant, stillborn on Thursday, Oct. 7, at Centennial Women’s Hospital.
Survivors include her parents, Roger and Maria Conatser; a brother, Skyler Mackenzie Conatser, all of Franklin; her grandparents, Maurice and Mary Conatser of Townsend and Lawrence and Catharina Borchert of Bowling Green, Ky.

Don Ray Mittlestead

Don Ray Mittlestead, 56, died Friday, Oct. 8, at Williamson Medical Center. Mr. Mittlestead was born in Barbaton, Ohio, and made his home in Williamson County. He was a technical service manager with MCI World COM, a retired Coast Guard radio operator and chief petty officer and member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints in Franklin.
He was preceded in death by a son, Douglass Arnold Melvin.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Mittlestead; a daughter, Dana Mittlestead; a son, Otis Melvin, all of Franklin; his parents, Robert and Mariam Mittlestead; a brother, Robert Lee Mittlestead, all of Dayton, Ohio; and his father- and mother-in-law, Johnny and Willie Wise of Franklin.
Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 10, at 3 p.m., at Williamson Memorial Home with Pastor Gary Fewell and Bishop Al Soderquist officiating. Burial will follow in Wiliamson Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
