Wallace was a homemaker. She was born of May 4, 1910 in Van Buren County, the daughter of Joe W. Miller and Ada Sparkman Miller.
Services were Wednesday, September 22, 1999 at Thurman Funeral Home with burial in Gravel Hill. Brother Jerry Barnwell and Howard Thomason officiated.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Martin Wallace.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Wallace of Spencer; Lynn Wallace of Nashville; a sister, Lena Mae Brock of Sparta; a brother, Jim Miller of Sparta; and two grandchildren, Sherri Wallace and Stacie Wallace.

Carl Rose
Carl Rose 73 of Sparta, TN passed away Wednesday, November 3,1999 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Rose served in the WWII, Army branch, and was employed at Mallory (Timers). He was born April 30, 1926 the son of Wesley and Lizzie Beth Welch Rose.
Services were held Saturday, November 6, 1999 at the Hunter Funeral Home with the burial at the Rose Cemetery. Carson Whittaker and David Shelly Officiated.
He was proceeded in death by his wife Thelma Jean Pryor Rose.
Survivors include one son Donnie Rose and wife Sherry of Sparta, TN; four daughters Judy Williams of Sparta, TN, Cynthia Parker and husband Mike of Sparta, TN, Vickie Cox and husband Mike of Sparta, TN and Wanda Bumbalough and husband John Patrick of Sparta, TN; one sister Edna Key of Sparta, TN; two brothers David Rose of Crossville, TN and Sterling Rose of Sparta, TN; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Louise Horton Seamons 65 of Bone Cave, TN passed away Thursday, November 4, 1999 at the Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, TN.
Seamons was a supervisor at Findlay Industries and she was a member of the Church of Christ at McElroy. She was born December 16, 1933 the daughter of James Ira Horton and Mary Lou Savage.
Services were held Saturday, November 6, 1999 at the High’s Chapel with the burial at Mt. View Cemetery. Doug Goff Officiated.
She was proceeded in death by one of her brothers James D. Horton.
Survivors include her husband James Seamons of Bone Cave, TN; two sons James Nile Seamons of Bone Cave, TN and Timothy Wayne Seamons of Bone Cave, TN; one daughter Angela Seamons Gilley of Bone Cave, TN; eight grandchildren; three brothers William N. Lillie Louise Boland Rowland 72 of Bone Cave, TN passed away Wednesday, November 10, 1999 at the River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN
Rowland was a retired employee of Magnatek – Century and she was a member of The Laurel Creek Baptist Church. She was born the daughter of Curtis Heath Boland and Fannie Lou Spain.
Services will be held at the High’s Chapel in McMinnville on Friday, November 12 at 1 p.m. and the burial at the Laurel Creek Cemetery. Don Rigsby Officiating.
She was proceeded in death by two of her sisters Ruth Mae Fox and Betty Boland.

She was preceded in death by her great grandfather Walter Lowery.

Null was born November 4, 1912, in Sparta, the daughter of Charlie Estel and Mary Luna Goodwin Price. She was a homemaker.
Services were held Wednesday, January 12, 2000, at the Hunter Funeral Home, with the burial at the Saylors Cemetery. Howard Thomason and Jimmy Lindsey officiated.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Claborn Null.

William Thorson Drake
William Thorson Drake 76, of Spencer passed away Monday, January 10, 2000 at the Tennessee Veterans Home in Murfreesboro, TN.
Drake was born October 18, 1923, in Van Buren County, TN, the son of William Brian and Mary Jane Hillis Drake. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII, and was a retired supervisor of the Tennessee Forestry Division. He was a member of the V.F.W Post # 5064.
Services were held Thursday, January 13, 2000, at High’s Chapel with the burial at Long Cemetery in Van Buren County. Gene Brock officiated. Military grave rites: American Legion Post #173 V F W Post #5064. Donations to Tennessee Veterans Home, Murfreesboro, TN.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Grace Hitchcock Drake.
Survivors include his wife Antha Drake of Spencer; two daughters: Peggy Bayless of Spencer, and Sherry Crain of Spencer; one step-daughter: Donna Boles of Sparta; two sons: William Morris Drake of Franklin, TN, and Wayne Drake of Spencer; tow step-sons: Danny Hodge of Spencer, and Eddie Hodge of Spencer; ten grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren; one brother: James Edward Drake of Detroit, MI.

Herbert Wiley Rowland, Sr. 78, of Bone Cave, TN passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2000, at his residence.
Rowland was born April 21, 1921 in Van Buren County, TN the son of Henry Herbert and Ella McCormick Rowland. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII and he was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Laurel Creek Baptist Church. He was a member of the F & AM Mountain Lodge #766
Services will be held Friday, January 14, 2000, at the High’s Chapel with the burial at Laurel Creek Cemetery. Garvin Haley officiating. Masonic grave rites by Mountain Lodge #766. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Shiners Children Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lillie Louise Rowland, and one sister Johnnie Belle Bryant.

Ellen Faye Hillis Dillard of Memphis, TN, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2000 in Phoenix, AZ.
Dillard was born the daughter of Dewey Hillis and Dixie Lockridge Hillis. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a housewife.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 7, 2000, at the Bartlett Funeral Home in Memphis, TN. Memorials may be made to The LeBonheer Children’s Medical Center, Memphis, TN; Hospice of the Valley; Phoenix, AZ.

Hillard Lowry Molloy 93, of McMinnville, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2000, at the NHC Healthcare in McMinnville.
Molloy was born June 13, 1906, in Van Buren County, the son of James Logan Molloy and Elfleda Lowry. He retired as the owner of Molloy’s Laundry. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Central.
Services were held Saturday, April 1, 2000, at the High Funeral Home Chapel, with the burial at the Mt. View Cemetery. Nester Stewart and Kirk Brothers officiated.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Hoosier.

Services were held Monday, April 03, 2000, at the Hunter Funeral Home with the burial at the Oaklawn Cemetery. Fate Wilson officiated.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur B. Jones and one brother, Harold D. Jones

Hudgens was born September 20, 1936 in Sparta, TN, the son of Horace Arthur and Mary Redding Bonner Hudgens. He was retired for the United AirLines.
Services were held Tuesday, April 4, 2000 at the Hunter Funeral Home with the burial at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Kenneth Kirby officiated. In lieu of flowers make donations to Lazarus House Hospice of Cookeville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his father, Horace Arthur Hudgens.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Hudgens of Sparta; one son, Miles Hudgens and wife Mary Jo of Pennsylvania; mother Mary Redding Hudgens of Sparta; two sisters, JoAnne Hudgens Paz of McMinnville, and Jane Griffin of Sparta; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

William Barnett Powell, Sr.
William Barnett Powell, Sr. 82 of Sparta, TN, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at the White County Hospital.
Powell was born September 14, 1912 in White County, TN the son of Doc Powell and Kate Dunn Powell. He served in the Army in WWII. He was the elder of Sparta Hardware, served as the Deacon of the Central Church of Christ, and was a member of Sparta Ciritan Club.
Services were held Thursday April 6, 2000, at the Central Church of Christ with the burial at the Highland Cemetery. Brother Charles Myers and Brother Don Burns officiated.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Kate Powell; one brother, Elmer Powell; one sister, Elizabeth Sapp; and one granddaughter Jessica Powell.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen Swindell Powell of Sparta; one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy Frye and Tom of Ringgold, GA; four sons and daughters-in-law, Barnett Powell, Jr. and Glenda of Huntsville, AL, Bob Powell and Jamie of Nashville, TN, Donald Powell and Robbie of Cookeville, TN, and Ronnie Powell and Janice of Sparta; five sisters, Elsie Rackley and Bill Bohannon of Sparta, Ann Ray of Cookeville, Ruth Glover of Elizabethton and Juanita Austin of Sanford, FL; two brothers Paul Powell of Sparta, and Jim Powell of Elizabethton; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Groves was born on December 8, 1932, in Van Buren County, the son of Richard Clifton Groves and Gertie Lou Hillis. He was a retired factory worker. He was a member of the Church of Christ and fought in the Korean War.
Services were Saturday, June 10, 2000, in High’s Chapel with burial in Mt. View Cemetery. Titus Ward and Newton Gribble officiated.
Survivors include wife, Jewell Groves of Rock Island; son, Dale Groves of Rock Island; two daughters and son-in-laws, Carla and Tommy Savage of Rock Island; Janice and Mike Stubblefield of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Brandon, Kendra and Daniel Savage and MaKayla Stubblefield.
