BACHE, HELEN, 83, passed away Monday evening at her home following a
lengthy illness. She was a member of Liberty Hill United Methodist Church.
Daughter of the late Robert C. and Mary Jane Crabtree Long. She was preceded
in death by her husband, Hensley Bache and sister, Beulah Snyder. Mrs.
Bache is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Carline and Hubert
Brooks of Decatur, Alabama; step-daughter, Sharlynn Hatfield of Virginia
and a nephew and his wife, Donald and Royledena Hartman of Alabama. Funeral
services, 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 1999 in Stetzer’s Morristown Chapel,
Rev. S. Lee Campbell officiating. Committal 1 p.m. Thursday, April 22,
1999 in Jarnagin Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral

BULL, MRS. ANNA MAE, age 67, of Tazewell, TN., was born October 11,
1931 and passed away quietly on April 20, 1999 at her home after a long
illness surrounded by her family and loved ones. She professed faith in
Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church
and later moved her letter to Seals Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where
she remained a faithful member until death. She was a life member of The
Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary; member of the American Legion Auxiliary;
and an avid hobbist and teacher in ceramics. She was preceded in death
by her parents, Rufus (Chuck) and Rebekah Ramsey Collingsworth; infant
sister, Mollie Jane Collingsworth; and brother, Edd Collingsworth. She
is survived by her husband, SPC. US Army Retired Fred Bull of Tazewell,
TN.; sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Larry and Brenda Sue (Keck) Bull of
New Tazewell, TN., Rev. Robert and Delilah (Seals) Bull of Tazewell, TN.;
daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Connie Morris of Tazewell, TN.; brothers
and sisters-in-law, Paul and Edith (McAfee) Collingsworth. John and Inez
(Mullins) Collingsworth, Tip and Rosa (Miracle) Collingsworth, Marie (Mullins)
Collingsworth, all of the Little Sycamore Community in Tazewell, TN.; sisters
and brothers-in-law, Hazel and Norman Cultice of Springfield, Ohio, Mary
and Charles Fultz of Morristown, TN., Patsy and Doug Arrington of Rogersville,
TN.; grandsons, Casey, Jason and Shane Bull, Scott Morris; granddaughters,
Tina, Lori and Melinda Bull, all of Tazewell, TN.; and a host of other
relatives and friends. Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 23, 1999,
at Coffey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Barnard, Rev. Lyndall Welch,
Rev. Lonnie Douglas Dalton officiating. Burial in the Cook Cemetery, Pleasant
View Community. The family will receive friends 7-9 Wednesday and Thursday

LONG, JAMES FREDRICK “FREDDY,” 28, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday
morning, April 20, 1999, at his home. He professed faith in God at an early
age. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lewis and Hazel Long,
and Homer Long. Survivors include his parents, Carl and Shirley Long; brother,
Eddie Long, all of Russellville; grandmother, Bertha Collins; special friend,
Christy Sullivan and her son, Chris; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, with Revs.
Ray Holt and Sonny Davis officiating. Interment will be 2 p.m. Friday in
Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday
and Thursday at the funeral home. Allen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
PHILLIPS, JANICE FAYE ARRINGTON, age 56, of Morristown, passed away
Sunday, April 18, 1999 at her home. Funeral services 2:00 p.m. Friday at
Stubblefield Funeral Home. Entombment in Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family
will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Stubblefield Funeral Home
in Morristown. Stubblefield Funeral Home in charge.
SCOTT, DR. CHARLES SEALE, age 75, of Morristown, passed away on Saturday,
April 17, at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was a member of First
United Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Charles Sidney and
Lonora Katherine Seale Scott. Dr. Scott attended Lincoln Memorial University
and Carson Newman College, where he was with the Navy V12 program. He graduated
from the University of Arkansas Medical School in 1947. He was an intern
at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. Dr. Scott was in general practice
in Middlesboro, Ky. from 1948 to 1952. Dr. Scott served in the U.S. Air
Force in Germany, Saudi Arabia and North Africa from 1952-1954. He completed
his residency at University of Tennessee College of Medicine in 1958. Dr.
Scott began his East Tennessee OB-GYN practice in 1958 in Morristown. He
was active in the Lakeway Medical Society, the American College of Obstetrics
and Gynecology and had been the Chief of Staff several times at Morristown-Hamblen
Hospital. Survivors include: wife, Billie Scott; daughter and son-in-law,
Carol yn and Dale Allen of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, Doug and
Cathy Scott of Morristown; step daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Danny
Stapleton of Morristown; step daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Doug Hamilton,
Sevierville; step son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Patty Bireley, Walla
Walla,WA.; sister, Edith Harber, Harrogate, TN.; sister, Lenora Scott Jones,
Lexington, KY.; sister and brother-in-law, Betty S. and Lloyd Riggsbee,
Chapel Hill, N.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Norma Scott, San
Antonio, TX.; grandchildren, Brian F.S. Allen, Adam M. Allen, Julianne
S. Edwards, Holly A. Collins, Lea Ann Swann, David Stapleton, Shonda Johnson,
Sarah Lynn Bireley, Brian Bireley and Jonathan Shelton; great grandchildren,
Charles Scott Edwards, Andrew Swann and Griffin Johnson. Funeral services
for Dr. Scott will be conducted at 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Mayes Mortuary.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday prior to services.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Hamblen
Memory Gardens. Mayes Mortuary is in charge.
