She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ike and Kathy Sutton Jr. of Cosby, Bobby and Francis Sutton of Cosby, and Charlie and Diane Sutton of Cosby; daughter, Charmayne Sutton of Cosby; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Alfred Sutton of Cosby; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Lisa Sutton of Newport; son, Michael Sutton of Cosby; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and George Gray of Newport; daughter, Sharon Phillips of Cosby; brothers, Lloyd Moore of Lexington, Kentucky and Horace Moore of Kentucky; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and David Deaton of North Carolina and Bernice and George Clevenger of Newport; sisters, Ann Mosley of New Jersey and Pauline Britt of Newport; and 18 grandchildren.

Roscoe J. Crittenden, 82, of Morristown, passed away April 19 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.
He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Crittenden; and son, Roscoe Crittenden Jr.
Survivors: sons, Ralph Crittenden of Newport and George David Crittenden of Morristown; grandchildren, Roscoe Crittenden II, Amber Daniels, Kimberly Holdway and Kenny Wolfe; great-grandchildren, Roscoe Crittenden III, Ryan Crittenden, Nathanael Holdway, Noah Holdway, Payton Sue Daniels, Kendra Wolfe, and Heather Wolfe; and brother, Paul Crittenden of Bean Station.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mayes Mortuary. Interment will be at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Mohawk.

Patsy Lovell Huff, of Bybee, born May 8, 1941, passed away April 22, 1999, at age 57, at the Morristown-Hamblen Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Dorothy Lovell; and two brothers, Arthur Lee Lovell and James Ray Lovell.
She is survived by her husband, Ruble Huff of Cleveland, Ohio; daughter, Debra Huff of Morristown; sons, David Huff of Cleveland, Ohio, and Ruble Wesley Andrew Huff of Bybee; sisters, Alfreda Huff of Newport, Janice Conard of Waynesville, North Carolina, Phyllis Bryant of Bybee, Debra Lovell of Parrottsville, Mona Ford of Cosby, and Robin Nease of Newport; and brothers, Jerry Roger Lovell and Michael Lovell of Bybee.

Dora Belva Strange Lunsford, 96, passed away April 25 at Brakebill Nursing Home in Knoxville.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Lunsford; daughters, Edith and Ophal; sons, Kenneth and Hubert; and three grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rosalea and Ray Wilkinson of Louisville; son, Dewey Lunsford of Taylor, Michigan; and brother, Jim Strange of Del Rio. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Manes Funeral Chapel with family receiving friends 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior to the services.
Interment will be at the Crowder Cemetery in the Blue Mill Section of Del Rio.

Joe Riley Webb, 55, of White Pine, passed away at the Baptist Hospital of East Tennessee after a year-long battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Betty Webb of White Pine; daughter and son-in-law, Stacie Webb and Brian Keller of White Pine; mother, Anna Webb; brothers, Reece Balch and Wessie Webb; sisters, Ann McMillian and Sherry Davis; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Irene was a member of the Luther Memorial Lutheran Church.

Frank Hall, 102, of Newport, died April 29 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.
He was a retired farmer and the oldest member of Rankin Hill Community.
He was a member of Stokely Chapel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Willie May Hall.
Survivors: children, Kenneth Hall, Inez Hall, Raymond Hall, Mildred Hale, and William B. (Buggy) Hall, all of Newport, Billy Joe Hall of Dandridge, and Helen Leonetti of Bridgeton, New Jersey; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening, May 1, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 2, at Stokely Chapel Baptist Church. The body will lie in state from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the church. Rev. Dale Hayes, Rev. Junior Loveday and Rev. Cline Franklin will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

Mary Caroline Hartsell, 81, of Newport, died Thursday at Mariner Health Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W.F. and Gertie Lawson Hartsell; six sisters; and four brothers.
She is survived by her nieces, Janie Cooper and Josephine Messer, both of Newport, and Rosalind Myers of Sevierville; also a nephew, Lynn Hartsell of Newport; also great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Union Cemetery with the Rev. Lynn Hartsell officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

Died: 04/30/1999
F.L. Wise, 72, of Burchfield Rd., Dandridge, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, April 29.
He was the son of the late Hubert and Nell Hall Wise and was preceded in death by son, Gary Wise, and sister, Mary Frances Wise.
F.L. was a member of the Swanns Chapel Baptist Church and was a retired quarry foreman for the Jefferson Co. Highway Dept.; a veteran of the U.S. Army; and served in World War II.
Survivors: wife, Lois Sisk Wise; daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Bob Chambers and Sharon and Leo Martinez, all of Dandridge; sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Cindy Wise and Jack and Sandra Wise, all of Newport; grandchildren, Trevor and Crystal Wise, Heath and Kim Wise, Jamie and Jessica Wise, Rob and Crystal Chambers, Greg and Christina Rines, Chad and Rebecca Chambers, Justin Rines, Missy and Danny Pitts, Christy and Scott Wells, Lisa Wise, Sidney and Melody Mason, and Crystal Casteel; great-grandchildren, Cody and Casey Wise, Tyler and Abigail Chambers, Haley Latham Taylor and Tyler Rines, and Justine and Jacob Wise; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Myrtle Wise of Dandridge; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Stokely’s Chapel Baptist Church.

Tina Dockery Hill, 89, of Chestnut Hill, passed away May 2 at Lakeway Regional Hospital in Morristown.
She was a member of Chestnut Hill United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James S. Hill; parents, Brownlow and Minnie Dockery; brother, Ponder Dockery; and sister, Mell Dockery.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Marshall and Della Hill and G.B. and Paula Hill, all of Chestnut Hill; grandchildren, Marsha and Pete Hayes, Samantha and Chris Barnes, Kelli and John Bell, Christina Hill, and Alyson Hill; sisters, Emma Chesteen of Morristown, Arizona Hance of Dandridge, and Almo Caughorn of Sevierville; also several nieces and nephews.

She was a former manager of Roses Department Store.

John Lefford Dockery, 93, of Dandridge, passed away Sunday in Jefferson City following a lengthy illness.
He was a member and deacon of the Blowing Cave Baptist Church.
John worked for the Tennessee Division of Forestry for 17 years until his retirement in 1973.
He was a farmer, where he enjoyed keeping bees and providing honey to the community. John did surveying in the area as a licensed surveyor.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Flora (Ivy) Dockery; parents, George and Malissa (McCoig) Dockery; and sons, Mitchell and Marshall Dockery.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Ebbie Julie Dockery of Dandridge and Wesley and Lena Dockery of Pigeon Forge; daughters and sons-in-law, Rosie and Levi Tarwater of Sevierville and Alma and Roosevelt Batson of Dandridge; sister, Jessie Thomas of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
The services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Brown Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Williams and Rev. Beecher Huskey officiating.

Della Willis Bible
Died: 05/06/1999
The remains of Della Willis Bible were found Saturday, April 24, 1999, after her disappearance on June 22, 1994.
Members of the local and surrounding communities, as well as law enforcement, the Newport Rescue Squad, FEMA, fire departments from numerous locations, and the National Guard spent hundreds of hours searching for her over the past four years and 10 months. It was a miraculous stroke of luck that her remains were found by a property owner of the local community.
Family members thank each and every one of those that participated in these searches. Your help has been a blessing to us during this trying time.
Della Bible was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Luther Bible; brothers, Leonard and Hubert Willis; and sister, Sally Hall.
She is survived by her son, Alvin, and daughter-in-law, Daphne of San Antonio, Texas, and son, Arlan, and daughter-in-law, Elizabeth of Lancaster, California; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday night, May 7, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Brown Funeral Home, with funeral service to follow. The Rev. Tony Rutherford will be officiating. Burial will take place at the Clark Cemetery on Saturday, May 8, at 10 a.m., with Rev. James Suggs officiating.

Joseph Lee Bixler, 21, of Sevierville, died Sunday, May 9, at Sevier Medical Center.
He graduated with honors Saturday, May 8, from Walters State Community College, and was a graduate of Gatlinburg-Pittman High School.
He was employed by McDonald’s in Wal-Mart as a manager.
He was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.
Survivors: parents, Gary and Paula Bixler; brother, Rodney C. Bixler; grandmothers, Helen Bixler of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Pauline Schaffer of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; and an uncle, John R. Schaffer of Del Rio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Laura Hill; brothers, Sam, Charlie, James, and Leonard Hill; and sisters, Addie Gray, Sarah Webb, Elsie Howard, and Beulah Trudel.
She is survived by her brother, Paul Hill of Taylor, Michigan; sister, Lucille Williams of Dearborn, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 14, at Manes Funeral Home - West Chapel with Rev. James McFall officiating. Burial will be in Waters-Large Cemetery.

Berney and wife, Vicki, of Cocoa, Florida; daughter, Christine Hause and husband, Ray of Cocoa, Florida; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Martin of Plant City, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; and her church family at River of Life Assembly of God of Merritt Island, Florida.

She was a member of Smoky Mountain Full Gospel Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Add G. Evans; daughter, Hazel Mae Evans; stepson, Bud Costner; mother, Lillie May Williamson; sister, Donnie Lee Grooms; and brother, Walter Jenkins.

Gloria Eleanor Franklin, 73, of Del Rio, passed away Sunday at her home following a lengthy illness.
She was a member of the Stokely’s Chapel Baptist Church.
Gloria had worked for Anchor Hocking Glass Company in Salem, New Jersey, for 35 years before her retirement in 1980.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Franklin; and brothers, Benjamin Franklin Jacobs and Joseph Alonzo Jacobs.
She is survived by her sisters, Lydia Thomas and Jessie Hall, both of Salem, New Jersey, Nellie Holt of Bybee, Gertrude Hall of Newport, and Virginia and her husband, Ray Rayborn of Purvis, Mississippi; one brother, Raymond Jacobs of Bybee; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Brown Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dale Hayes officiating. Interment will be in the Franklin Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Susie Sane, 79, of Parrottsville, died Saturday, May 15, at Baptist Hospital of Knoxville.
She was a member of Long Creek Christian Church and a member of the Senior Citizens Quilters.
She was preceded in death by husband, Clinton Sane; and brother, Jim Gregg.
Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Mildred and Richard Wegg of Ashton, Maryland, and Minnie Faye and Charles Ottinger of Greeneville; son and daughter-in-law, Liston C. and Paula Sane of Parrottsville; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
