COLUMBIA -- Services for Johnnie Brooks Mayers, 68, of 4812 Hamby Street, Columbia, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at St. John Baptist Church, 3404 West Beltline Blvd., Columbia, with burial in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. Mr. Mayers will be placed in the church at noon, with viewing until the time of service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at A.P. Williams Funeral Home Chapel.
Surviving are sons, Donald Mayers, Columbia; Gary Bowers, Myrtle Beach; daughters, Deborah Wells, Philadelphia; Barbara Bowers, Chapin; sisters, Elaine Suber, Chapin, Elizabeth Rodgers, Columbia; aunt, Evelyn Shellman, NewYork; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
James McCallister Sr.
RAVENEL -- Services for James Donald McCallister Sr., 62, will be held at 11 a.m. today at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Sauldam Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. McCallister died Sunday in a Charleston hospital. Born in Islandton, he was a son of the late James Henry McCallister and Edna Bass McCallister Bunton. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a Baptist.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Jones McCallister of Ravenel; son, James McCallister Jr. of Ravenel; daughter, Cindy Hall of Atlanta; sister, Nancy Ruffin of Walterboro; grandchild, Sean Caperton of Charleston.
SUMTER -- Services for Harvis "Bro" McGee, 61, will be 3:30 p.m. today at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Hillside Memorial Park. Job's Mortuary is in charge.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret B. McGee; sons, Michael, Harvis Jr., Ulysses McGee, Kiplin McGee; daughters, Janette Johnson, Denise Nelson, Lillian Hastie, Sharon McGee, Margaret McGee, Pamela McGee; three brothers; seven sisters; 23 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
HEMINGWAY -- Services for Olin Miller, 87, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Williams Hill Freewill Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery directed by Graham Funeral Home. Visitation is 7-9 this evening at the church.
Mr. Miller, widower of Frances C. Miller, died Monday. Born in Georgetown Co., he was a son of the late Burrell Anderson Miller and Olivia Pearl Evans Miller. He was a retired farmer and a member of Williams Hill Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, Billy, Burrell Miller, both of Hemingway; daughters, Catherine Cameron of Georgetown, Frankie Gaskins, Crystal Tisdale both of Hemingway; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
HARLEYVILLE -- Services for Woodrow Mizzell, 85, of Duncan Chapel Community, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Indian Field United Methodist Church with the Rev. Betty Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 this evening at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George. Pallbearers will be Harold Mizzell, Charles Mizzell, Dennis Mizzell, Oliver Bowman, Derrall Risher, C.M. Dantzler, Dan Mizzell Jr. and Timothy Mizzell.
Mr. Mizzell died Sunday in a Walterboro hospital. Born in Duncan Chapel Community, November 25, 1915, he was a son of the late Madison Timothy Mizzell and Fannie Jackson Mizzell. He was retired farmer and a member of Indian Field United Methodist Church, where he served on official boards and belonged to Good Cheer Sunday School Class and was a member of Senior Club. He was a former member of 15 A and I-26 Hunting Club.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Mattie Kizer Mizzell; sons, Marion W. Mizzell, Harleyville and Logan F. Mizzell, Orangeburg; daughter, Elaine M. Lantz, Lilburn, Ga.; grandchildren, Scott A. Mizzell, Westminster, Anthony G. Mizzell, Columbia, Stacey R. Mizzell, Myrtle Beach, Gary E. Mizzell, Harleyville, Julie M. Kelly, Melbourne, Fla., Jeffery L. Mizzell and Kristen P. Mizzell, Summerville, Jason R. Lantz, Lilburn, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Austin and Haley Mizzell, both of Harleyville and Sybil Mizzell, Columbia. He was predeceased by sons, Melvin P. Mizzell and Julian H. Mizzell.
IRMO -- Services for William R. (Bill) Morris, 77, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, Chapin, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin . . .
CLINTON -- Services for J.B. Neal, 90, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Gray Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Neal died Monday in Laurens County Hospital. Born in Great Falls, he was a son of the late Samuel B. and Minnie Ola Inman Neal. He was a U.S. Army Corps veteran of World War II, a member of the American Legion and a member of Lydia Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Emma Sherbert Neal; son, Jimmy Neal; sisters, Nancy Holbrook, Lula Polk; four grandchildren; a great grandchild.
CAMDEN -- Services for Bruce Terrell Peach, 86, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, with burial to follow in the Scotch Cemetery in Bethune. The Rev. Clarence Dorman will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7-9 this evening, Tuesday, January 23, 2001 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Mr. Peach died Saturday, January 20, 2001. Born in Bethune, he was the son of the late William Arthur and Sallie Rozier Peach. He retired from DuPont and was a World War II Army veteran, having served in the Pacific and European Theatres. He was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church. He was married to the late Edna Railey Peach.
Surviving are daughters, Karen Fox, Columbia, Mrs. Thomas R. ("Brucie") White, Northport, Ala.; son, Allen Peach, Odessa, Fla.; grandchildren, Railey B. White and Elizabeth C. White, both of Northport, Ala. He was predeceased by sister, Sara Lee Humphrey and brother, William Allen Peach.
KINGSTREE -- Services for Susan Pressley, 91, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Elijah United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. McClary's Funeral Home is in charge.

Mrs. Revels died Sunday, January 21, 2001. Born in Olanta, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Isaac and Myrtle McClam Tallon. She retired as a programmer analyst from Providence Hospital and was a member of First Baptist Church of Irmo.
Surviving are her husband, James Palmer Revels Sr.; son, James P. Revels Jr. of Chicago; daughter, Karen R. Nunn of Columbia; brother, Gilbert A. Tallon of Olanta; and grandchildren, Kasey A. Nunn, Donald S. Nunn III, P. Corey Revels and Alex G. Revels.

Mr. Shambo died Monday. Born in Joliet, Ill., he was a son of the late Guy Peter and Pearl Marian Richards Shambo. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of Santee Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Bernhardt Shambo; sons, Richard Shambo of Valparaiso, Fla., James Shambo of Niceville, Fla., Thomas Shambo of Dallas, Texas; eight grandchildren.

Mr. Tolson died Monday, January 22, 2001. Born in Darlington Co., he was a son of the late Luke C. and Carrie Byrd Tolson. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist and the Men's Bible Class. He was retired as a farmer and dairyman and was a member of the Young Farmer's Association.
Surviving are his wife, Josephine Griggs Tolson of Hartsville; son, Jimmy Tolson of Hartsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and James Powell, Pamela and Harold C. Byrd, Angie and Eddie Boseman, all of Hartsville; brothers, Leon Tolson, Lorrain Tolson, both of Hartsville; sister, Emily T. Ritter of Hartsville; grandchildren, Edie Brock, Billy Cross, Laura Miller, James Byrd, Trey Boseman, D.J. Tolson; great grandchildren, Bethany Byrd, Ashley Miller.

Mr. Williford died Saturday, January 20, 2001. Born in Rock Hill, he was a son of the late William Charles and Catherine Elizabeth Russell Williford. Mr. Williford was a retired E-6 Tech. Sgt. from the U.S. Air Force, serving one tour in Vietnam, and receiving two Battlestars. He loved to fish, hunt and do woodwork. He was previously married to Carol Williford of Lompoc, Calif.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Steve Daly, Lompoc, Calif., Mandy Lynn and John Morale, Elko , Nev., Belinda Gail Williford, Riverside, Calif., brother and sister-in-law, John Wesley and Kay Pratt, Cheraw; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Tommy Hutson, Cheraw; grandchildren, Ashley Morale, Elko, Jessica Daly, Lompoc, Megan Morale, Elko.
