Earl O. Yarevitz
LEWISTOWN - Earl O. Yarevitz, 73, of 24 Spanogle Ave., Lewistown, died at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001, at his residence. Born Jan. 29, 1928, in Mifflin County, he was the son of the late Emil F. and Laura (Lockett) Yarevitz. His wife, Doris J. Yarevitz, died May 16, 1995. Surviving are: daughters, Mrs. Sidney (Gail) Rhodes, Burnham and Debra Hartley, Mifflin; two grandsons and two great-granddaughters. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army Airborne as a paratrooper in the famed 82nd Airborne Division, the 508th Infantry Regiment and the 782nd Ordinance Company as a squad leader. He also served two years in the Pennsylvania National Guards. He retired from Lewistown Specialty Yarns in 1991 after 40 years of service. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Lewistown and Masonic Lodge 203 F&AM;, Lewistown. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Lind Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Dale Hippensteel officiating. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 7011, Lewistown. There will be no viewing. Dorothy S. Yetman
STATE COLLEGE - Dorothy S. Yetman, 79, of Rolling Ridge Drive, State College, died at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2001, at Center Crest, Bellefonte. Born March 13, 1922, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late Harry Sr. and Mary (Bergie) Stumpf. Her husband, Edwin Yetman, died in 1998. Surviving are: brother and sister, Francis C. Stumpf, Lewistown and Margaret Naigus, California; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. She was a condominium manager. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, State College. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, with the Father Thomas Marickovic officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. Barbara D. Yetter
LEWISTOWN - Barbara D. Yetter, 46, of 227 Eighth Street, Lewistown, died at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov 1, 2001, at Lewistown Hospital. Born Sept. 8, 1955, she was the daughter of William H. and Doris T. (Miller) Rupert, of McVeytown. Her husband, Donald P. Yetter, preceded her in death in 1985. Surviving are: children, Jeromy M. Yetter and Tyler J. Yetter, at home; sister, Mrs. Dennis (Sally) Yoder, Lewistown; two brothers, William H. Rupert Jr., Lewistown and Samuel M. Rupert, Lewistown. She had a B.S. in elementary education from Shippensburg State University. She worked as an assembly employee at Echo Ultrasound, Reedsville, from 1986 to the present. She attended the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren. Her funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main Street, Lewistown, with the Rev. Mary J. Yetter
MIFFLINTOWN - Mary J. Yetter, 86, of Brookline Manor and Retirement Village, Mifflintown RR1, died at 1:50 a.m. Sunday, June 17, 2001, at the Lewistown Hospital. Born Oct. 4, 1914, in Mifflintown, Juniata County, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Martha Jane (Singer) Yetter. Surviving are: a brother and a sister, Clinton G. Yetter and Betty L. Reynolds, both of Brookline Manor and Retirement Village, Mifflintown RR1; two nieces and seven great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd Yetter and William Yetter and one sister, Ethylene M. Yetter. She retired from United Telephone Company, Mifflintown, where she served as a telephone operator and worked as a secretary in the business office. She was a graduate of Mifflintown High School. She was a lifetime member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Mifflintown. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Brown Funeral Home, 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Douglas Compton officiating. Homer H. Yingling
BELLEVILLE - Homer H. Yingling, 82, of 516 Oliver Court, Belleville, died at 2:25 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at Valley View Retirement Community, Belleville. Born March 12, 1919, in Naginey, he was the son of the late Hill W. and Minnie E. (Shirk) Yingling. Surviving are: a sister, Anna J. Yingling, Belleville. He was a 1937 graduate of Milroy High School. He was employed as a Weigh Master at Bethlehem Steel, Naginey, for 35 years, and at Faylor-Middlecreek, Milroy, for 10 years, before retiring in 1982. He was a Amphibious Engineer in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the Milroy United Methodist Church, a former Sunday School Superintendent, an avid Penn State fan and a 42 year season ticket holder, and a member of the Lewistown Masonic Lodge #203, Royal Arch Chapter, Lewistown, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Royal and Select Masters Juniata Valley #64, Lewistown Commandry #26, Harrisburg Consistory, Jaffa Temple, Altoona, and Order of the Silver Trial. His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Bert A. Bowen officiating. Fredric Ira Yocum
DEMING, NM - Fredric Ira Yocum, 77, of Deming, NM, formerly of Greater Miami, FL, died Thursday, July 19, 2001, at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM. Born April 27, 1924, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Robert A. and Mary Jane (Kilmer) Yocum. His wife of 55 years, Geraldine Yocum, survives. Also surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Don (Kimbra) Cundiff, Las Cruces, NM; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Phyllis Patterson of Shiremanstown, Sandra Riden of Berwyn, Eugene Yocum and James Yocum, both of Oceanside, CA. He was preceded in death by two brothers, a daughter and two grandchildren. During World War II, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in September 1942 and was sergeant in the 748th Tank Battalion with General Patton's 3rd Army in Europe, which participated at the Battle of the Bulge. He was owner of Fredric Yocum Printing Company, Greater Miami, FL, retiring in August 1987. He was active in civic affairs and was past president of the Hialeah Civic Benevolent Association and former member of Fraternal Order of Police Associates and Milander Lions Club. He was a member of Hialeah Moose Lodge and Legion of the Moose. In April 1993, he moved to Deming, NM where he was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and also a volunteer at the Deming-Luna County Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans; also a former member of the Deming Gem and Mineral Society. Graveside services were held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with the Rev. Darrell Witmer officiating. Military honors were provided at Hillcrest by the United States Army at Fort Bliss, TX. The Getz Funeral Home, corner of Bowman and Solano, Las Cruces, NM, was in charge of arrangements.

Wilbur F. Yocum
THOMPSONTOWN - Wilbur F. Yocum, 78, a resident of Meda Nipple Nursing Home, Thompsontown, died at 12:20 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2001, at Lewistown Hospital. Born Oct. 20, 1922, in Hollidaysburg, he was a son of the late Harry and Alice (Cutman) Yocum. Surviving are: brothers and a sister, Blair Yocum, Lebanon, Mrs. Mildred M. Fink, Parkview Terrace, Burnham and James Yocum, Central Avenue, Lewistown. He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Price. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Wesley Men's Bible Class. A graveside service will be held at noon today at Lind Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Jacob T. Traxler officiating. BELLEVILLE - Annie E. Yoder, 75, of 15 Charity Drive, Belleville, died at 7:25 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2001, at the Lewistown Hospital. Born Oct. 2, 1925, in Brown Township, she was the daughter of the late Samuel D. and Magdelena (Bawel) Sharp. Her husband, Kore E. Yoder, whom she married Feb. 19, 1976, survives. Also surviving are: children, Sylvan K. Yoder and Mrs. Sam (Lois) Detweiler, both of McVeytown, Mrs. Glen D. (Salome) Yoder, Middleburg, Mrs. Perry (Judy) Beachy, Winfield, and Sanford Yoder, Belleville; brothers and sisters, Samuel B. Sharp, Carson, Va., Mrs. Jacob (Rebecca) Sharp, Richfield, Mrs. Dan (Mary) King and Fannie Sharp, both of Belleville, and Mrs. Andy (Katie) Byler, Catlett, Va.; 26 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Noah B. Sharp, Moses K. Sharp, Lizzie B. Peachey, Levi S. Sharp, and Nannie Sharp. She was a member of the Pleasant View Amish-Mennonite Church, Reedsville. PORT ROYAL - A. Pearl Yoder, 90, of Port Royal RR1, died Sunday evening, March 11, 2001, in Clinton, Tenn. Born Nov. 16, 1910, in Spruce Hill Township, Juniata County, she was the daughter of the late William Edgar and Minnie May (McDonald) Kerchner. Her husband, Graydon L. Yoder Sr., died Nov. 7, 1981. Surviving are: a son, Graydon L. Yoder Jr., Clinton, Tenn.; a sister, Verna Bowersox, Milroy; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Martha Hower on July 2, 1977 and Barbara McCoy on May 12, 1987, five brothers and six sisters. She was a 1928 graduate of the Port Royal High School. She was a member of the Matamoras United Methodist Church, Port Royal RR1 and the Spruce Hill Grange 772. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Matamoras United Methodist Church, Port Royal RR1, with the Rev. Marton J. Roberson officiating. BELLEVILLE - Catherine E. Yoder, 64, of 4596 Front Mountain Road, Belleville, died at 4:55 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at her residence. Chester T. Yoder
LANSDALE - Chester T. Yoder, 90, of Towamencin Township, Montgomery County, formerly of Mattawana and Belleville, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, in Dock Terrace, Lansdale, Born Nov. 6, 1910, in Menno Township, he was the son of the late Jesse J. and Sadie C. Yoder. His wife, Margaret N. "Margie" (Harshbarger) Yoder, died Aug. 20, 1999. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Floyd E. (Lois E.) Zook, Telford; sister and brother, Barbara C. Peachey, Belleville and Norman C. Yoder, Phoenix, Ariz.; and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert M. Yoder and John I. Yoder, and an infant brother; a sister Amanda E. Byler and an infant sister. He graduated from Lancaster Business School and from Juniata College in Huntingdon, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Education. He began his teaching career in one room schools in the Belleville area. He retired from the former Mattawana Elementary School in 1970, after many years of service. He was a long-time member of the Mattawana Mennonite Church, where he had been an adult Sunday school teacher and served as church treasurer. He was a part-time house painter and an avid reader. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Mattawana Mennonite Church, with Pastor M. Leon Yoder officiating. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Belleville. C. Hugh "Jim" Yoder
PORT ROYAL - C. Hugh "Jim" Yoder, 82, of Port Royal RR1, died at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown RR1. Born July 29, 1919, in Spruce Hill, Juniata County, he was a son of the late Noah Hertzler and May Ellen (Souders) Yoder. He is survived by: a brother and sister, Dean S. Yoder, Port Royal RR1 and Gladys Y. Snyder, Harrisburg. He was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Y. Gilson, and a brother, Gerald E. "Gerd" Yoder. A 1939 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown, he was a retired employee, having worked for United Telephone Company, Mifflintown from 1947 to 1981. He was a member of the Matamoras United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing. His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with Pastor Kenneth R. Kitzmiller officiating. Interment will in New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal. Gary Aquilla Yoder
BELLEFONTE - Gary Aquilla Yoder, 53, of 465 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2001, at Centre Community Hospital. Born Sept. 4, 1948, in Williamsport, he was a son of Mae (Eck) Yoder Browne, State College and the late David H. Yoder. His wife, Dorothy (Hoy) Yoder, Bellefonte, whom he married April 28, 1979, survives. Also surviving are: a son, Cody Yoder, at home; sisters and brothers, Susan Maples, Houston, TX, Bonnie Martin, Axemann, Connie Stahlman and John Yoder, both of Bellefonte, Skip Browne, State College, and Donald Brower, Howard. He was a 1966 graduate of Lewistown High School. He was a self-employed electrician and then worked at Hanover Brands, Centre Hall. He was Lutheran by faith. His service will be held at noon Saturday at the Wetzler Funeral Home, 206 N. Spring St., Bellefonte, with Pastor Nancy Goff officiating. Interment will be in Meyer Cemetery. Friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.

James Eldon Yoder
CENTERVILLE, Md. - James Eldon Yoder, 74, died Thursday, April 5, 2001, at the Corsica Nursing Home, Centerville, Md. Born Oct. 20, 1926, in Brady Township, Huntingdon County, he was the son of the late I. Newton and Edith (Summers) Yoder. He is survived by children, Suzanne Yoder, Lancaster, James Yoder, Massachusetts, Thomas Yoder, Boalsburg, and Mrs. John (Laurie) Mellinger, Lewistown; three brothers and one sister, Roy N. Yoder and Paul T. Yoder, both of Belleville, Mrs. Earl (Rena) Auker, Oakland Mills, and Robert L. Yoder, Grand Junction, Colo.; and one grandson. He was preceded in death by one brother, George Newton Yoder. He was a skilled brick layer by trade. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing the violin. No funeral services were held because he donated his body to science.

Jefferson D. Yoder
ELVERSON - Jefferson D. Yoder, 76, of 255 Bulltown Rd., Elverson died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001 at his home after a brief illness. Born in Belleville, he was the son of the late Jacob H. and Saloma (Peachy) Yoder. He is survived by his wife, Reba (Stoltzfus) Yoder. The celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on Nov. 24. Also surviving are: two daughters: Carol Yoder, Blue Ball, Linda, wife of Leonard Martin, Morgantown; two brothers, Job, husband of Doris (Collins) Yoder, McVeytown, Nicholas Yoder, Christiana; four sisters, Sadie Yoder and Lydia Yoder, both of Kelowna, BC, Canada, Nancy, wife of Melvin Stoltzfus, Sundree, Alberta, Canada, Rhoda, wife of Roy Hollinger, Lititz; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son: Carl Yoder in 1993 and five brothers: Raymond, Cletus, Thomas, William and Mark Yoder. He was a farmer and attended the Ebenezer Bible Chapel, Elverson. He enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Buck Hollow Hunting Club, Clinton County. He was also a former member and past director of the Chester County Holstein Association, past director of the PA State Holstein Association, former delegate for several years for the National Holstein Association, past director of the Farm Credit Association for 10 years, past director of the Owen J. Roberts School District. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, from the Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2769 Main St., Morgantown with the Reverends Paul H. Schmelzer and Dean Boyd officiating. Interment will be in the Adjoining Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Conestoga Mennonite Church on Saturday 6-8 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. John R. 'Red' Yoder
ALLENSVILLE - John R. "Red" Yoder, 68, of 88 Water St., Allensville, died at 8:18 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2001, at his residence. Born Sept. 30, 1932, in Belleville, he was a son of the late John R. Sr. and Edna R. (Glick) Yoder. His step-mother, Naomi (Yoder) Yoder of Belleville, survives. His wife, Sara Anna (Yoder) Yoder, whom he married May 11, 1957, survives. Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Don (Edna Mae) Maurer, Shamokin and Mrs. Miles (Jennifer) Filson, Allensville; a brother and sister, Gordon W. Yoder, Canadensis and Mrs. Tim (Marjorie) Armstrong, Belleville; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, David Lee Yoder on April 10, 1967; a brother and a sister, Ezra Lloyd Yoder and Roseanna Ramsey. He was employed for 30 years at Allensville Planing Mill as a mechanic and truck driver. Prior to that, he was employed at M.D. Yoder's in Allensville. He was a member of Locust Grove Mennonite Church and the Living by Faith Sunday School Class. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Locust Grove Mennonite Church, Belleville, with ministers, Max Zook, Erie Renno, Maynard Beitzel and Gregory Kanagy officiating. BELLEVILLE - Louie E. Yoder, 82, of 315 Maple Grove Road, Belleville, died at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2001, at his home. Born June 17, 1918, in Belleville, he was the son of the late Samuel K. and Leah B. (Yoder) Yoder. His wife, Fronie A. (Yoder) Yoder, whom he married Jan. 1, 1946, survives. He is also survived by brothers and sisters, Samuel A. Yoder, New Holland, Aquilla Yoder, Intercourse, and Hilda Stoltzfus, Sarasota, Fla. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, LeRoy Yoder, Jesse C. Yoder, David Yoder, Mary Kanagy, and Lena Gentzler. He was a farmer, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Selinsgrove Amish Mennonite Church. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Pleasant View Amish Mennonite Church, Green Lane, Belleville, with Bishop David J. BELLEVILLE - Mark S. Yoder, 72, of 73 Y Brookside Lane, Belleville, died at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2001, at Harrisburg Hospital. Born Dec. 13, 1928, in Belleville, he was a son of the late Jacob H. and Saloma A. (Peachey) Yoder. Surviving are: brothers and sisters, Sadie Yoder and Lydia A. Yoder, both of Kalona, British Columbia, Canada; Mrs. Roy (Rhoda) Hollinger, Lancaster; Jefferson Yoder, Elverson; Job Yoder, McVeytown; Nicholas Yoder, Christiana; and Mrs. Melvin (Nancy) Stoltzfus, Sundree, Alberta, Canada. He was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond C. Yoder, Cletus J. Yoder, Thomas Yoder and William P. Yoder. He was a farmer, retiring in 1992 and an auctioneer, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Beth-El Mennonite Church. His service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Beth-El Mennonite Church, Front Mountain Road, Belleville, with ministers, Foster King, Wesly King and Raymond Peachey officiating. LEWISTOWN - Pauline M. Yoder, 80, formerly of Lewistown, died at 7:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, 2001, at University Park Nursing Center, State College. Born Dec. 28, 1920, in Juniata County, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Freda Mae (Peck) Staley. Her husband, Jesse Yoder, died in January 1994. She is survived by brothers and sisters, Elwood C. Staley, New Cumberland, Gladys Dixon, Six Mile Run, James Staley and Barbara Seaholtz, both of Harrisburg, Donald Staley, Lewistown, and Jean Boozel, McVeytown. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Yoder, one stepdaughter, Kay Lorrain Stimley, and two sisters. She was a housewife. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Lewistown. Rebecca B. Yoder
ELIZABETHTOWN - Rebecca B. Yoder, 61, of 34 Beech Lane, Elizabethtown, died at 12:08 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2001, at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. Born April 20, 1940, in Allensville, she was the daughter of the late David P. and Nancy R. (Peachey) Kanagy. Her husband, John I. Yoder, died Sept. 30, 1973. She is survived by children, David J. Yoder, Cleona, Catherine E. Yoder, North Bethesda, Md., Mrs. Barry (D.J.) Kearns, Burnham and Mrs. Randal (Lori) Peachey, Belleville; brothers and sisters, Leroy J. Kanagy, HCR 61, Allensville, Jacob E. Kanagy, HCR 61, Mill Creek, Jesse L. Kanagy, Glen Ellyn, Ill. and Mrs. James (Lena) Ludwig, New Holland; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary L. Kanagy in 1984. She worked in the office of Dr. Tierney in Hershey. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Allensville Mennonite Church, Allensville, with ministers Philip Barr and A.J. Yoder officiating. Interment will be in Allensville Mennonite Cemetery. Rebecca S. Yoder
MILROY - Rebecca S. Yoder, 73, of 199 Red Lane, Milroy, died at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001, at her residence. Born Aug. 19, 1927, in Armagh Township, Mifflin County, she was the daughter of the late Emanuel B. and Rebecca S. (Hostetler) Yoder. Her husband, Moses S. Yoder, survives. Also surviving are: children, Isaac M. Yoder, Nancy B. Hostetler, Christ M. Yoder, Mary R. Hostetler and Katie S. Hostetler, all of Milroy, Elizabeth S. Yoder, McClure and Fronie K. Yoder, Reedsville; brothers and sisters, Lena Hostetler, Abe S. Yoder, and Emanuel S. Yoder, all of McClure, Katie S. Yoder and Isaac S. Yoder, both of Reedsville, Steve S. Yoder and Sam J. Yoder, both of Milroy; 38 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Old Order Amish. Services will be held at 9 a.m. today at the Yoder residence at 199 Red Lane, Milroy. Interment will be in Back Mountain Cemetery, Milroy. There will be no viewing. Ruth S. Yoder
REEDSVILLE - Ruth S. Yoder, 83, of 198 Woodedge Lane, Reedsville, died at 7:28 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2001, at her residence. Born May 1, 1918, in Brown Township, she was the daughter of the late Solomon Y. and Mary (Speicher) Hostetler. She is survived by a brother and a sister, Crist S. Hostetler, 198 Woodedge Lane, Reedsville and Barbara S. Yoder, McClure. She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. She was a member of the Old Order Amish. Services will be held at noon today at 198 Woodedge Lane, Reedsville. Interment will be in Green Lane Cemetery. Dorothy M. Yohn
BURNHAM - Loving wife and mother, Dorothy M. Yohn, passed into the presence of our Lord at 6:05 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2001, at her residence. Dorothy, 67, of 121 Sunset Drive, Burnham, was born Oct. 30, 1933 in Lewistown, a daughter of the late John T. Sr. and Charlotte (Stayrook) Felmlee. Her husband, Ember E. " Dynnie" Yohn, whom she married May 30, 1952, survives. Also surviving are: children, Richard K. Yohn, Reedsville, Terry L. Yohn, Yeagertown, Robert E. Yohn, McClure, Timothy S. Yohn, Lewistown and Nancy J. Parkes, Rochester, NY; brothers and sisters, Russell Felmlee, Delaware, Walter Felmlee, Lewistown, Geraldine Foulk, York, Charlotte Phelps, North Carolina, Glenn Felmlee, Burnham, Shirley Lockett, Lewistown, Lee Felmlee, Reedsville, and David Felmlee; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. She was co-owner of Speedy Cleaners from 1986 to the present. Earlier in life, she was a self-employed antique dealer. She was a member of Calvary Bible Church. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Calvary Bible Church, with the Rev. Roger R. Reece officiating. Edna M. Young
MCCLURE - Edna M. Young, 90, of McClure, passed away at 1:09 p.m. Nov. 1, 2001, at Lewistown Hospital. She had resided at Ohesson Manor, Lewistown, for the past three years. She was born Sept. 6, 1911, in McClure, a daughter of the late Erie H. and Mary E. (Goss) Stuck. In 1930, she married the late Charles Clinton Young, who passed away July 31, 1965. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy L. Erb, Saline, MI and Mollie A. Hassinger, Newport; a son, C. Stanton Young, Beaver Springs RR1; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was a member of Mt. Bethel United Church of Christ, McClure. She was active in the McClure Women's Club, where she served as president many years. Her service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Aurand Funeral Homes, North Brown St., McClure, with the Rev. Donald Wise officiating. Interment will be in the McClure Union Cemetery. Robert J. Young
WICHITA, KANSAS - Robert J. Young, 70, of Wichita, Kan., formerly of Lewistown, died at 7:35 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2001. Born July 28, 1930, in Oseola Mills, he was a son of the late Walter J. and Dorothy L. (Supina) Young. His companion Virginia S. Young survives, residing in Wichita, Kan. Also surviving are: daughters, Melissa L. Young, Wichita, Kan. and Melanie I. Young, Covina, Calif.; and two grandchildren. He retired as a trucking subcontractor for North American Van Lines. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Wichita, Kan. Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS, is in charge of arrangements.

Ethel V. 'Dolly' Youtzy
LEWISTOWN - Ethel V. "Dolly" Youtzy, 78, of Pine Glen Road, Lewistown, died at 9:45 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2001, at her home. Born Dec. 10, 1922, in Blacklog, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ella (Laird) Emery. Her husband, Delmer L. Youtzy Sr., whom she married Sept. 11, 1943, died Dec. 3, 1998. She is survived by: children, Mrs. Gary (Marlene) Stryker and Delmer L. Youtzy Jr, both of Lewistown; sisters, Geraldine Wentz, Newton Hamilton and Lorma Rutter, Horseheads, NY; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother, Vivian "Hon" Vargason and Chet Emery; and two half-sisters, Olive Getz and Edith Long. She was a manager of the Diana Dress Shop, Lewistown, retiring in 1982. She had also worked as a sewing instructor for Singer, as a Home Interiors hostess and at Danks Department Store, Lewistown. She was a member of the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren, where she taught the Work and Win Sunday School Class, served as treasurer and sat on various church committees. She was a former president of the Lewistown Business and Professional Women. She was an avid flower gardener. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Donald E. Peters Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Pine Glen Cemetery. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 South Market St., McVeytown, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the church.
