John M. Caufield, 85, formerly of Homesville, died Friday at the Rest Haven Nursing Home, Schuylkill Haven, where he had been a resident. Born in Homesville, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Kane) Caufield, and a graduate of Ashland High School He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. Joseph's Church, Girardville. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were sisters, Mary Kellagher, in 1994, and Margaret Caufield, in 1961. He is survived by nieces and nephews.
