Patricia Glass, 66, of Plum Borough died Oct. 5, 2002.
Born in Homestead, she was a daughter of Andrew Mattiko Sr. and Bertha Jusko. 
Mrs. Glass was a payroll clerk at Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and a member of Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church in Plum.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Glass Sr.
Surviving are her sons, John Jr., Lawrence, James and Paul Glass; brothers, Lawrence, Richard and Andrew Mattiko Jr.; and seven grandchildren.
Friends were received at Our Lady of Joy Church. Service was held at the church with the Rev. Robert Cedolia officiating. Interment was a Braddock Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Maurice L. Knee Ltd.

Ionni
Richard Ionni, 70, of Regency Park in Plum Borough died Sept. 29, 2002.
Born in Hershey, he was a son of Anthony Ionni and Mart Tancredi Ionni. 
Mr. Ionni was a computer technician for Unisys and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Unity.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret (Wagner) Ionni; a son, Michael Ionni; a daughter, Elizabeth Lukens; and five grandchildren.
Friends were received at St. John the Baptist Church. Service was held at the church with the Father Aaron Kriss officiating. 
Interment was at Plum Creek Cemetery. Arrange-ments were made by Maurice L. Knee Ltd.

Mihalik
Clara (Kerlin) Mihalik, 79, of Plum died Oct. 3, 2002.
Mrs. Mihalik was an active member of the Plum AARP.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Anna Gordon and Margaret Ondovchik; and brothers, Bill and Edward Kerlin.
Surviving are her husband, George Mihalik; daughters, Georgia Titus of New Jersey and Tina Carney of Illinois; a son, Richard Mihalik of Florida; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Loretta Farbarik of Turtle Creek; and a brother, David Kerlin of California.
Friends were received at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home. Service was held at the funeral home. Interment was at Restland Cemetery.

Brown
Ann Brown, 85, of Oakmont died Oct. 3, 2002.
Born on Nov. 16, 1916, in Lawrensburg, Ind., she was a daughter of William and Laura Tibbits Sedler.
Mrs. Brown was a member of St. Irenaeus Catholic Church in Oakmont and Oakmont Country Club and a former member of Duquesne Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Brown.
Surviving are sons, Edward Brown of Owatonna, Minn. and William Brown of Plum; daughters, JoAnn Moller of Colts Neck, N.J., Catherine Engle of Conyers, Ga., and Linda Stewart of Palmetto, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends were received at Burket-Truby Funeral Home Inc. Service was held at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church in Oakmont with the Rev. James Wiseman officiating. Interment was at Verona Cemetery in Oakmont. Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Irenaeus Catholic Church in Oakmont.

Cima
Titina (Grassi) Cima, 94, of Pitcairn, died Oct. 8, 2002, at Forbes Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Cima was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cima.
Surviving are daughters, Rose Zuzik of Pitcairn and Esther Mele of Plum; sons, Anthony Cima of Plum and Charles Cima of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Lena Grassi, Mary Pompa and Etta Pastore; and a brother, Herman Grassi.
Friends were received at Wm. O. Pearce Funeral Home Inc. Service was held at St. Michael Church with the Rev. John Dinello officiating. 
Interment was at St. Joseph Cemetery in North Versailles.

Gabor
Olga Gabor, 80, of Plum Borough died Oct. 9, 2002.
Mrs. Gabor was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Gabor.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Bryant; sons, Theodore and Paul Gabor; and 10 grandchildren.
Service was held at the Presbyterian Church of Plum Creek. Arrangements were made by Soxman Funeral Homes Ltd. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pittsburgh Blind Association, 300 S. Craig St., Pittsburgh, PA 15213.

Goehring
Ronald Goehring, 33, formerly of Penn Hills died Oct. 9, 2002.
Mr. Goehring served in the Navy for six years and was a Desert Storm veteran.
Surviving are his mother, Beverly Goehring; father, Louis Goehring; wife, Jolene (Binder) Goehring; sisters, Lynne Brosius and Nancy Czolba; and a brother, Thomas Goehring.

Hoffman
Martina Hoffman, 77, of Plum Borough died Oct. 13, 2002.
Born in Pittsburgh, she was a homemaker. Mrs. Hoffman was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a son, Martin Hoffman; and a sister, Margaret "Peggy" Flannery.
Surviving are her husband, George Hoffman; daughters, Susan Stock, Mary Villarreal and Joan Cocca; sons, Ken and Neil Hoffman; a brother, James Flannery; a sister, Anne "Nancy" Flannery; and 15 grandchildren.
Friends were received at the Soxman Funeral Homes. Service was held at St. John the Baptist Church. 
Interment was at Plum Creek Cemetery.

Hogue
Edna Hogue, 92, died Oct. 8, 2002.
Mrs. Hogue was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Hogue; and a brother, August Schmitt.
Surviving are her daughter, Lois Crissman of Mansfield, Ohio; a son, Roy Hogue of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at St. Bernadette Church in Monroeville. Interment will be at Good Shepherd Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Trenz Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Bernadette Church Lourdes Center Fund.

James
David James Sr., 63, of Plum Borough died Oct. 12, 2002.
Mr. James was a member of the American Legion Post# 980.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley James; a daughter, Lynn Durka of Rostraver Township; a son, David James Jr. of New Kensington; a brother, John James Jr. of Ligonier; a sister, Sally Powell of Wilkins Township; and three grandchildren.
Service was private. Arrangements were made by Thomas D. English Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Plum Creek Presbyterian Church.

Nestor
William D. Nestor, 52, of Plum Borough died Nov. 2, 2002.
Born Jan. 28, 1950, in Brandonville, W.Va., he was the son of Wilbert and Edith (Showalter) Nestor. Mr. Nestor was a truck driver for most of his life.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Beverly (Mink) Nestor; his children, Brian Nestor of Allegheny Township, Brandi and Becky Nestor, both of Plum Borough, and Barbie Dominic of Plum Borough; sisters, Victoria Sadler and Cynthia Mihalic; brothers, Larry and Wade Nestor.

Newport
Marjorie (Hawtree) New-port, 71, of Penn Hills died Nov. 2, 2002.
She was a member of Penn Hills AARP and Hebron United Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Newport; and a sister, Joanne Collet.
Surviving are her children, Jay Newport, Mary Jo Bernazzoli, Jill Lamance and Scott Newport; and eight grandchildren.

Matthew R. Churilla, 75, of Plum Borough died Nov. 6, 2002.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and served as Plum Borough Real Estate Tax Collector.
Surviving are his wife, Lorraine Churilla; his children, Michael, Matthew and Joseph, Terence Churilla, Susan Hessom and Lori Campbell; 13 grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Kuhn.

Linaberger
Elsa Ann (Held) Linaberger, 64, formerly of Penn Hills, died Nov. 6, 2002.
She graduated from Allegheny College in Meadville, and was an elementary school teacher.
Mrs. Linaberger was a volunteer at Penn Hills Service Association, aided in leading the Children’s Choir at Hebron United Presbyterian Church, served on the board of Mars Home for Youth and the Leadership Council of Ingomar United Methodist Church and as a member of Philanthropic Educational Organization chapter.
Surviving are her husband of 41 years, James Linaberger; daughters, Anne Mazula, Mara Linaberger and Elizabeth Best; and a grandson, J.T. Mazula.
Private arrangements were handled by Charles W. Trenz Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, at Ingomar United Methodist Church, 1510 W. Ingomar Road, McCandless Township.
Memorial contributions are suggested to her church or Allegheny College, Meadville, PA 16335.

Irene M. Post, 77, of Holiday Park in Plum Borough died Nov. 7, 2002.
Born in Lewiston, Maine, she was a retired secretary.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Post; sons, Albert and Todd Post; and two grandchildren.

Potochnik
Elizabeth Potochnik, 93, of Plum Borough died Nov. 9, 2002, at Manorcare of Monroeville.
Born in Finleyville, Pa., she was the daughter of George and Mary (Jurancic) Boyer. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Plum
In addition to her parents, she was s preceded in death by her husband, Peter Potochnik; her sisters, Anna Kuna and Adeline Boyer.

Stotler
Bertha N. (Noll) Stotler, 87, of Plum Borough died Nov. 10, 2002.
Mrs. Stotler was an accomplished organist at Presbyterian Church of Plum Creek and First Reformed Presbyterian Church of Penn Hills.
Surviving are her husband, Stanley Stotler; her children, Dennis and S. Edward Stotler, Elizabeth Lunden, Susan Schuelke; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Ida Wambaugh; and a brother, Edward Noll.

Robert John Cowell, 30, of Plum, formerly of Wilkins Township, died Nov. 17, 2002.
He was the son of former state Rep. Ronald and Virginia Cowell. Mr. Cowell was a graduate of Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Allison (Stewart) Cowell; a brother, Richard Cowell; nephew and niece, Matthew and Sara; father- and mother-in-law, Robert and Tillie Stewart; sisters-in-law, Ericka Cowell and Amy Stewart; and aunts Leslie and Cheryl Cowell.

DeMichiei
Emil P. "Nanny" DeMichiei, 80, formerly of the Renton section of Plum Borough, died Nov. 11, 2002.
Born in Napoleon, Ohio, he was the son of Giovanni and Virginia (Sanvido) DeMichiei. 
Mr. DeMichiei was a former coal miner, and later was employed by Republic Steel and PPG Industries. He was an excellent young baseball player and member of semi-pro leagues. He later took up golfing and was a member of Valley View Golf Club. 
He was a member of VFW, American Legion, Kiwanis International and Renton Italian Club. Mr. Demichiei was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Betty (Maver) Demichiei; his son, Mark Demichiei and his wife, Susan; three grandchildren, Mariel, Matthew and Michael; brothers, Merle, Ray and Verne Demichiei; and a sister, Corrine Pivik of Renton.

Flaherty
Rosella M. "Sis" Flaherty died Nov. 17, 2002.
Mrs. Flaherty was a charter member of St. Bartholomew Church and former president of the church’s Ladies Guild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Flaherty Sr.; sister-in-law, Catherine Flaherty and two brothers.
Surviving are her daughter and caregiver, Catherine Podkul of Murrysville; sons, Terrence of Penn Hills and James Flaherty Jr. and his wife, Kathleen of Murrysville; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Lillian Meinen, 96, of Plum Borough died Nov. 14, 2002.
Born in Pittsburgh, she was a retired bookkeeper for a pharmaceutical company.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Meinen.
Surviving are her son, Lawrence and Ronald Meinen and his wife, Jo-Ann; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Paese
Louis F. "Gigi" Paese, 73, of Plum Borough died Nov. 16, 2002, at William Penn Care Center in Delmont.
Born Feb. 17, 1929, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Luigi and Rachel Paese. Mr. Paese was a retired laborer with P.W. Campbell construction. He was a member of Riverside Community Church in Oakmont.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Ergidia Cosentino; his daughters, Patricia LaMantia of Harrison City and Linda Fedon of Lower Burrell; a son, Richard Paese of Plum Borough; 15 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Lawrence E. Hardy, 66, of Plum Borough died Nov. 20, 2002, at Forbes Regional Hospital.
Born in Providence, R.I., he was a retired purchasing agent and tax preparer.

Born Oct. 14, 1911, in White Township, Indiana County, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary Jane (Smith) Ellenberger. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 10 sisters; and three brothers.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Gladys Franciscus, 66, of Plum died Dec. 2, 2002.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Franciscus.

Gannon
George P. Gannon, 57, of Plum Borough died Dec. 6, 2002, at Forbes Regional Hospital.
Born in Peoria, Ill., he was the son of George and Helena (Broderick) Gannon. Mr. Gannon was a social studies teacher with Pittsburgh Public School System. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, he was a member of Pittsburgh Federation of Teachers, a volleyball coach and member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Penn Hills.
Surviving are his wife, Lynn (Miller) Gannon; his children, Paul and David Kennedy, and Carrie Chiusano; sisters, Patricia Woods and Margaret Gannon; and five grandchildren.

Honsberger
Fred J.M. Honsberger, 75, of Plum died Dec. 4, 2002, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital.
Born Aug. 8, 1927, in Buffalo, N.Y., he was the son of Fred and Mary (Allan) Honsberger.
He served with the U.S. Navy for 20 years during World War II and the Korean War. Mr. Honsberger was a member of the Lions, Riverside Commun-ity Church and former president and member of Plum Borough Council.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Janet (Whitmore) Honsberger; his son, Fred Honsberger of Monroeville and his wife, Christine; a sister, Phoebe Coupland; and grandchildren, Kyle and Kevin Honsberger of Plum.

McKinley
Marian H. McKinley, 81, of Plum Borough died Dec. 3, 2002, while vacationing in Savannah, Ga.
Born Feb. 10, 1921, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Katherine (Harvey) Dunn. She was a member of St. John’s Parish in Unity.
Surviving are her husband, Charles McKinley; children, Charles and Robert McKinley, both of Plum Borough, Susan Carmody of Sewickley and Jeraldine Graf of Plum Borough; seven grandchildren.

Oberch
Frank J. Oberch Jr., 55, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Turtle Creek, died Dec. 8, 2002.
Surviving are his sisters, Dorothy Brooks and Nancy Bick; three nieces; a nephew; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.

Denis P. Yoest, 61, of Plum died Dec. 4, 2002.
