Hilda M. Sweeney, age 92, of North Side, on Thursday May 22, 2003. 
Born July 9, 1910 in Pittsburgh Pa the daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Hoffman Hague. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband Harry J. Hores, Sr, her son Harry J. Hores Jr., two brothers Samuel and Ken Hague and a sister Elizabeth Lenz. 
Survivors include her sons Glenn (Martha) Hores of Clarion Co. and Ken (Mary Lou) Hores of Ross Twp.; Grandchildren Kenny Hores, Pamela Clouner, Gwynn Boyer, Kathleen Hores and Glenn W. Hores also survived by 6 great grandchildren. 
Friends will be received at the Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc. 388 Center Avenue West View on Sunday and Monday 2-4 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Incarnation Parish Nativity Worship Site on Tuesday at 10:00 am with Fr. John Bachkay officiating. Interment will follow in North Sdie Catholic Cemetery.

Michael J. Hogan, Sr., age 49, of Ross Township, on Wednesday, May 14, 2003. 
Beloved husband for 26 years of Linda (Wagner) Hogan. Devoted father of Stacey L. & Michael J. Hogan, Jr. Loving son of Carmella & the late John A. "Jack" Hogan. Dear brother of John A., Jr. (Linda) of Cranberry Township, Vincent J. (Deborah) of McCandless Township, Dennis R. (Beverly) of Etna, Wayne P.(Millie) of West View, and Lynn Hogan Webster (Wally) of McCandless Township, brother-in-law of Robert Litterini of Bellevue. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. 
Mike was the co-owner of Triple H. Printing, Inc. He was the Varsity Lacrosse Coach at North Hills High School, Scorekeeper of North Hills Varsity Softball , longtime coach in the North Hills Athletic Association and West View Ross Athletic Association, he was a member of Local #94 Pittsburgh Pressman and an active associate of the Pittsburgh Senior News. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer and loved all sports. 
Family will receive friends Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., at the Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., 388 Center Avenue, West View. Services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Michael Robinson officiating.

Jeannette Miller, age 81, of Valencia PA, on Tuesday, May 13, 2003 in St. Barnabas Nursing Home. 
There will be NO Visitation. 
Services will be held at the St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Saturday, May 17, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Ken Oldenski officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Mt. Troy.

Ann Patricia Hyman, 80, of Gibsonia, came to rest with her Lord, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, May 11, 2003. 
Beloved mother of Mark (Patricia) of Upper Saint Clair, Gary of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and Laura (Joseph) Walsh of Gibsonia, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin, sister Josephine, father and mother Peter and Petranella Shimitis, and daughter-in-law Deborah. Seven loving grandchildren, Heather, Jamie, Ben, Mollie, Aaron, Carrie and Annie, five step-grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren survive her. 
She is also fondly remembered by her niece, Judith, of Pasadena, California, and numerous cousins in Chicago, Illinois, and Newbury Park, California. 
Born Anna Patricia Shimitis in St. Charles, Illinois, April 15, 1923, she began a dancing career in her teen years and performed throughout North America and Mexico as an acrobatic dancer with a professional dance troupe. During that time, she met her husband Ben, a professional drummer, and they were married March 16, 1946. 
Ann and Ben resided in Louisville, Kentucky, where Ann became one of the top Tupperware managers in the United States. In 1962, Ann and Ben moved their family to Gibsonia, and for many years owned and operated the former Tupperware distributorship, Hy Sales, near Butler. 
She will be warmly remembered for her kind heart, sincere care for others and affectionate love for her family. 
There will be no calling hours. A memorial service and mass to celebrate the life of Ann Patricia Hyman will be held at St. Richard Catholic Church, 3841 Dickey Road, Gibsonia, Pennsylvania 15044 on Thursday, May 15, 2003 at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Hospice of Greater Pittsburgh, 3520 Route 130, Suite 3001, Irwin, Pennsylvania 15642, or to St. Richard Catholic Church.

Regis A. Roethlein , age 77 , of North Side on Thursday May 8, 2003. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 18, 1926 the son of the late Emil and Coletta (Hunkele) Roethlein. 
Regis worked for Armour Meat Packing Company for over 30 years, then later retired from Braun Baking Company. He was a member of West View V.F.W. Post #2754, Teamsters Local #485, Joint Council #40 Retirees Club and he proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. 
He is the beloved husband for 54 years of Henrietta R. (Kreutzer) Roethlein; loving father of Dolores R. (Thomas) D'Angelo of Ross Township, Sharon A. (Guy) Distefano of Cranberry Township, Regis A. (Joni) Roethlein of Hampton Township, Maureen R. (Kirk) Schwab of Harmony, PA and Ronald R. (Susan) Roethlein of Shaler Township. Brother of Dolly Bucher of North Side, Virginia Miner of Monessen, Patricia DiGiovine of North Side and the late Emil Roethlein. Also survived by 15 beloved Grandchildren.

Lillian R. (Prem) Woelfel, age 84 of Perrytown Place, formerly of City View, on Monday, May 5, 2003 in U.P.M.C. Passavant. Born in Pittsburgh on March 7, 1919, she is the daughter of the late Robert and Christina (Bajzak) Prem. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woelfel was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence A. Woelfel. 
Mother of Lawrence O. (Dana) Woelfel of Virginia Beach, VA and Leslie A. (Susan) Woelfel of Ross Township; Grandmother of David (Penny), Brian, Debbie and Lynn and Sister of Christina Huber and Herky Spilecki, both of North Side.

Pamela F. Cunningham, age 32, of Hampton Township suddenly on Sunday May 4, 2003. 
Born December 15, 1970 in Pittsburgh, PA. She is the daughter of Katherine (Congilio) Cunningham of Lawrenceville and the late M. Wayne Cunningham. 
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister Ruth A. Cunningham of Richland Township, brother Wayne N. Cunningham of West Deer Township and her grandmother Ann Congilio.

Esther McMaster, age 83 of the North Side, on Saturday, May 3, 2003. Born August 6, 1919, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Sadie Hirshman Meyers. 
Mrs. McMaster is the beloved mother of Edward, George and Esther Kaiser and Jane Skinner; sister of Richard and Leroy Meyers and Betty Jane Lebo. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Charles M. Beckert, age 88, of Ross Township on Thursday, May 1, 2003, in U.P.M.C. Passavant Hospital. 
Born March 22, 1915, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Charles & Emma C. (Silzle) Beckert. 
He was a member of North Hills Lodge #716 F.&A.M., Allegheny Commandery, Bellevue Royal Arch Chapter #286, Syria Temple and NACO Caravan #19. 
Mr. Beckert was the husband of Martha (Crede) Beckert. Dear father of Clinton A. Beckert of Davenport IA, and Bonnie A. Anglin of Amityville NY, Grandfather of Steven and Mitchell Beckert and John Anglin, Brother of Emma C. Smith.

Gladys A. Freund, age 87 of Ross Township, on Wednesday, April 30, 2003 in Windsor Place. Born July 1, 1915 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Mary (Wehman) Guillaume. 
Preceding her in death was her husband, Ralph L. Freund.

Joseph S. (Don) Hegedic, age 89, of West View, on Tuesday, April 29, 2003. Born on October 19, 1913 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Steve & Anna (Fernbach) Hegedic. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Elliott and sister Marcella. 
Joseph worked as a Welder Pattern Maker for Annealing Box Co in Pittsburgh. He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, North Hills Lodge #716 F.&A.M., Syria Temple, Can Co. 359th Infantry Regiment 90th Division, and VFW Post 2754, West View. 
Beloved husband for 55 years of Gertrude M. (Winter) Hegedic. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Cono P. "SAM" Passione, of Richland Twp., Gibsonia, on Sunday April 27, 2003. 
Born on March 22, 1925 in Pittsburgh, PA., he was the son of the late Cono Passione & Angelina (Ucellina) Passione. 
Beloved husband of the late Ann (Utiss) Passione. 
Dear father of Vincent D. Passione of Cheswick, Cono P. Passione Jr of Bakerstown , Jimmy P. Passione of Valencia and Kimberly A. Leggett of Mechanicsburg. Brother of Catherine Hohman of Mt. Washington. Loving grandfather of 11 grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Connie and one brother, Basilio. 
Mr. Passione was a member of Teamsters Local 249 and a member of the VFW Mars Post 7505.

Rita J. Uptegraff, age 81, of the North Side, on Sunday, April 20, 2003. 
Born on June 14, 1921, in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late William K. & Anna (Sedelsky) Young. Beloved wife of the late Charles E. Uptegraff. 
Dear mother of Rita Feustel of Utah, and Carol Giger of West View. Also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 
Rita was the owner of Uptegraff's Restaurant on the North Side.

Margaret E. (Betty) Irwin, age 77 of McCandless Township, on Wednesday, February 9, 2000, at UPMC Passavant Hospital. She was born in Pittsburgh on May 24, 1922, the daughter of the late Aaron and Margaret (Woodburn) McClintock. 
Mrs. Irwin is the beloved wife for 55 years of Wallace R. Irwin and was a homemaker most of her life. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Robert B. Irwin of Bradford Woods; James D. Irwin of Virginia and Margaret (Peg) 
Miller of Washington, PA. Also, 3 grandchildren.

Alvin F. Hundertmark, age 78, of Richland Township, on Sunday November 4, 2001 in St.... John's Lutheran Care Center, Mars, PA. Born May 16, 1923 in Etna, PA the son of the late Ernest and Emma Schlumpf Hundertmark. Mr.... Hundertmark was a retired Mechanical Engineer having served for over 40 years with US. Steel and a WWII Army Veteran. 
Survivors include his beloved wife, of 48 years, Carolyn Shaw Hundertmark. Two sons Eric Hundertmark of Trappe,PA, Gary Hundertmark of Franklin, PA and Beth Kellner of Harrisville, PA. Brother of Ernestine Hundertmark of Richland Township, Dorothy Green of Virginia, Leona Zimmerman of Missouri and Ernest Hundertmark of Kennerdell, PA. Grandfather of Evan, Darrel, Megan and Nathan Hundertmark and Grace Kellner.

Alison Logan Gebauer, age 47, of Charleroi, died on Thursday, February 14, 2002. Born on May 13, 1954 in Pittsburgh. Beloved wife for 5 1/2 years of Edward B. Gebauer. Dear daughter of William S. & Marjorie (Dellenbaugh) Logan of Richland Twp., Gibsonia. Dear daughter-in-law of Edward J. & Bertha (Shedleski) Gebauer of North Wales, PA. Sister of Craig Logan of Xenia, Ohio and step mother of Sarah, Claire, and Elise Gebauer all of Reston, VA. 
Friends received Monday, February 18, 2002 from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME LTD 5864 Heckert Road Bakerstown PA. Rev. Dr. Darcy E. Hawk of the Gibsonia Presbyterian Church will officiate. Interment private. A memorial service will be held in May at her farm. 
Alison was the owner of her own farm where she raised sheep, all natural chickens, Boarder Collies, and horses. She kept active in competitions of Boarder Collies and recently opened Red Horse Market at Brush Run Farm where she sold all natural foods. She and her husband were known for numerous working sheep dog demonstrations at the Scotish Games in the Eastern United States.

Edna S. (Schoeneweis) Daniels, age 94 of the Presbyterian Senior Care Center in Oakmont, PA on Monday, February 18, 2002 at her residence. She was born in Pittsburgh on May 29, 1907, the daughter of the late John and Martha Elizabeth (Willome) Schoeneweis. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Daniels was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; three sisters, Mildred Rohm, Irene Jung and Marie Waldschmidt and four brothers, John, Elmer, Walter, and Harold Schoeneweis. 
Mrs. Daniels is survived by a brother, Robert Schoeneweis of Texas. Also, nieces and nephews. 
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., 388 Center Avenue in West View where services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Robert Tuttle, Pastor of Elfinwild United Presbyterian Church will officiate the service at the funeral home. Interment in Mt. Royal Memorial Park. 
Prior to her retirement, Edna was employed as a Legal Secretary.

Doris Dee Dee, T. (Rhodes) Tomasic, age 70, of Ross Township peacefully on Thursday February 14, 2002 at her residence. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 15, 1931 the daughter of the late James and Violet (Phelps) Rhodes. Before her reitrement, Dee Dee was employed as a waitress for several restaurants including the Bellevue Tea Garden and Perkins. 
Doris is the beloved companion of Edward Putch of Ross Township; most precious mother of Joseph (Donna) Tomasic Jr. of Ross Township, Donna (Joe) Leszczynski of Ross Township, Denise (Jim) Dugan of West View; loving grandmother of Joe and John Tomasic, both of Ross Township, Joe Leszczynski of Ross Township, Michael Leszczynski of Bellevue, Misty Hollinger of West View and Joni Dugan of West View; loving great grandmother of Brittany and Joey & Taylor Tomasic, Billy and Jimmy Hollinger, and Marley and Tryston Leszczynski. Also survived by eight brothers and sisters and a host of nieces and nephews.

Sophia (Piela) Wainauskis, age 87 of Ross Township, on Wednesday, February 6, 2002 at Vincentian Regency Nursing Home, McCandless Township. Born in Pittsburgh on October 5, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Balthazar and Maryann (Siwarski) Piela. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wainauskis was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bernard, and a daughter, Patricia (Wainauskis) Ritenour. 
Sophia is survived by one sister, Helen Jackson of Brookline; a granddaughter, Mary Catherine Ritenour of Virginia; a niece, Carole Hammons of McKees Rocks and a nephew, Michael Jackson of Castle Shannon.

Mrs. Wainauskis was a homemaker most of her life and a member of West View A.A.R.P. #2211.

Rosa Lorenc, age 89 of Ross Township, on Wednesday, February 6, 2002, in Windsor Place Nursing Home, Ross Township. Born in Austria on December 7, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Josephine (Schirgl) Steurer. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lorenc was preceded in death by her husband, Anton Lorenc. 
Mrs. Lorenc is survived by nieces and nephews. Prior to her retirement, Rosa was employed in the Optical Industry. 
Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., 388 Center Avenue in West View where services will be held on Saturday at 12:00 Noon. Pastor Robert Strobel will officiate the service at the funeral home. Interment in United Cemetery.
