SISTER M. ALEXINE BEAM, S.C. 

Sister M. Alexine Beam, S.C., 92, an outstanding high school science teacher for more than 45 years, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, at Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 20, 1907, in the Crafton section of Pittsburgh, to George S. and Catherine V. (Collins) Beam, Sister M. Alexine entered the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill from St. Philip Parish, Crafton, on Nov. 1, 1923. She earned a bachelor of science from Seton Hill College in 1940, a master of science from the University of Pittsburgh in 1943, and a master of arts from St. Mary, Notre Dame, in 1955. During an active ministry which spanned 60 years, Sister M. Alexine inspired and challenged high school students in biology, other sciences, and religion. Students of St. James High School (West End), St. Luke (Carnegie), Sacred Heart (East Liberty) and Greensburg Central Catholic benefited from her skill as an educator. That talent was acknowledged by state, civic, commercial and educational associations in more than 13 citations and awards. Invited to collaborate with Holt, Rinehart and Winston Inc., Sister M. Alexine created a set of overhead transparencies to accompany ``Modern Biology 1969.'' After retiring in the late 1980s, Sister continued to tutor until ill health made this impossible. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William, and a sister, Mrs. John (Hilda) McGann. She is survived by nieces. Friends will be received Friday from 1:30 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in Caritas Christi, Mt. Thor Road, Greensburg. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Assumption, Caritas Christi, Mt. Thor Road. Burial in Sisters' Cemetery, Seton Hill, Greensburg. JOHN C. DEBERSON 

John C. Deberson, of Carrick, on Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999. Husband of the late Julia (Katyryneck) Deberson. Father of Judith Ann Powers, Denise J. (Thomas) Roslonski and John J. (Sherry) Deberson. Brother of the late Rita Loper. Brother-in-law of Sophie Simon and the late Anne Cherry. Also survived by seven grandchildren. DELBERT A. HALL SR. 

Delbert A. Hall Sr., of Connellsville, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, at his home. He was born Sept. 28, 1928, a son of the late Andrew ``Andy'' Hall and Audrey (Summers) Hall of Opekiska, W.Va. He was a graduate of Connellsville High School, Class of 1947. He was retired from the former Anchor Cap and its successor Newill Closure Co. Plant 5 with 31 years of service. He was a member of the Christian Church of Connellsville. He is survived by two sons, Delbert A. Hall Jr. and his wife, Kim, of Connellsville and David Allen Hall of Connellsville; two granddaughters, Kalee Hall and Paige Hall of Connellsville; two sisters, Margaret (John) Bisher of Everson and Irene Kooser (Frank) Smith of Smithfield; also a number of nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service at the Christian Church of Connellsville Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Joey Hickok officiating. It is a celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Diabetes Association in his memory. 

EARL H. HENKEL SR. 

Earl H. Henkel Sr., 80, of Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, in Harmon House Convalescent Center, Mt. Pleasant. He was born July 9, 1919, in Pennsville, a son of the late Henry and Bertha Swain Henkel. Mr. Henkel was a coal miner for more than 47 years for U.S. Steel, Maple Creek Mine, and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Rodgers Henkel, in 1998. He is survived by his children, Earl H. Henkel Jr. and his wife, Malinda, of Mt. Pleasant and Robert A. Henkel of Arizona; and two grandsons, David and Scott Henkel of Connecticut. Mr. Henkel was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Hours of visitation were private. Private services were officiated by Dr. Terry V. Murray. Interment Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. Arrangements by GALONE-CARUSO'S, Mt. Pleasant. 

C. RAYMOND MORRIS 

C. Raymond Morris, 82, of Greensburg, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, at the home of his daughter. He was born June 23, 1917, in Keystone, a son of the late James and Gwyndolyn Edmunds Morris. He was a retired dispatcher from the Mark Lines Bus Co. He was a member of the Penn Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Tom, Clyde, William, George, Ernest and James Morris; and two sisters, Viola Morris Werner and Gwyndolyn Morris. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Margaret Baker Morris; a daughter, Donna and her husband, C. William Kepple, of New Alexandria; four grandchildren, Kim and her husband, Bob Mertz, William and his wife, Kathy Kepple, Kathy and her husband, Tim Gwynn, and Donald and his wife, Jennifer Kepple, all of New Alexandria; also 10 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. JOHN E. RALPH JR.
John E. ``Jack'' Ralph Jr., 81, of Boca Raton, Fla., formerly of Irwin, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, at his residence. Born Nov. 21, 1917, in Irwin, he was a son of the late John Elias Sr. and Ann (Hrabak) Ralph. He was treasurer of U.S. Steel Corp. He was past president of the Association of American Railroads Treasury Offices, Citizens Crime Watch and Good Fellowship Club. He was trustee of Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh, a 32nd Degree Mason, life member of Syria Temple Shrine and Shidle Lodge #601, and was elder of the Presbyterian Church in Pompano Beach, Fla., and Irwin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah (Bailey) Ralph, who died in 1978; and his second wife, Dorothy (Johns) Ralph, who died in 1992. Surviving are a sister, Betty R. Donaldson of Wisconsin; a daughter-in-law, Hanna Barker of Boca Raton, Fla.; an aunt, Lula Ralph of Pennsylvania; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the VINCENT V. HELEN SOYKA RISKU 

Helen Soyka Risku, 77, of West Newton (Collinsburg), died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, at Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Feb. 9, 1922, in Collinsburg, a daughter of the late John and Julia Nichols Soyka. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Risku, in 1968. She is survived by five children, John William ``Bill'' Risku of Elizabeth, Regis Risku of Collinsburg, Carol Boyd of Fellsburg, Susan Keefer and Sandra Calcagni, both of West Newton; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. LOUETTA Z. (SCHAKE) WILSON 

Louetta Z. (Schake) Wilson, 95, of Pitcairn, on Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999. Wife of the late Raymond J. ``Woody'' Wilson; mother of Imogene Artman of North Huntingdon and the late Carl W. Wilson. Sister of Jack Schake of Irwin, Richard Schake of Jeannette, Louise Wall of Export, Faye Indrunas of Florida and Virginia DelTorrie of Turtle Creek. Also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Friends received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the WM. O. ANNA CATHERINE ZRUNO 

Anna Catherine Zruno, 91, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, in St. Anne Home, Greensburg. She was born June 2, 1908, in Hannastown, a daughter of the late Stephan and Anna Kuvilich Yusko. She was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, South Greensburg, the Rosary Altar Society and the Living Rosary Society, both of St. Bruno Church. She had been a volunteer kitchen worker for 50 years at St. Bruno Church and a volunteer at Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was a member of the Ladies Jednota Lodge Branch 277. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony J. Zruno, in 1969; by a son, Thomas A. Zruno, in 1993; and by two brothers, John and Stephan Yusko. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Robert (Rita) Herd of Greensburg; four granddaughters, Tamra and her husband, Chuck Wilson, Risa and her husband, Kurt Williams, Toni and her husband, Jeffrey Rankin, and Joyce and her husband, Michael Adamcyk; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Zahorchak of Luxor and Mary Mignogna of Jeannette; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Bruno Catholic Church, South Greensburg, with the Rev. Blane L. Resko, O.S.B., as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Hempfield Township. CLAIRE A. FUNK 

Claire A. Funk, 74, of Jeannette, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, in Westmoreland Manor, Hempfield Township. She was born Dec. 2, 1924, in Penn Township, a daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie Klingensmith Woll. She was a member of the Alliance Church of Jeannette and the AARP. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Funk; and three sisters, Alma Peer, Evelyn Brown and Esther Woll. She is survived by two sisters, Rose Marie Bundgard of Mt. Pleasant and Geraldine Gregory of Greensburg; a sister-in-law, Stella Barkefelt of Jeannette; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce Theakston officiating. MARY SUE (BOVINGTON) JOHNSON 

Mary Sue (Bovington) Johnson, 70, of Mt. Lebanon, died peacefully at home on Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Dec. 4, 1928, to the late John R. and Helen Pettibone. She graduated from Wheaton College in Massachusetts in 1951; married C. Bayard Johnson Jr. in 1958; and settled in Pittsburgh in 1971. She is survived by her loving husband, Bayard; daughters and sons-in-law, Cam and Greg Allen of Mt. Lebanon and Gail Johnson and Tim Elgren of Clinton, N.Y.; daughter, Molly Johnson of Seattle, Wash.; son and daughter-in-law, Bayard and Karen Johnson of St. Louis, Mo.; and six grandchildren, Robby, Brad, Scott, Ruth, Ben and Bay. She is also survived by her brother, John R. Bovington of Cleveland, Ohio. She was a dedicated, active grandmother, a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church and active in numerous church and community activities, including Southminster choir, women's hand bell team and AFS student exchange. Her family gratefully acknowledges the outpouring of support throughout the past few months from friends near and far, as well as the caring guidance and support of the Family Hospice. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 13, at 9:30 a.m. at Southminster Presbyterian Church in Mt. Lebanon. Sue expressed wishes that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Southminster Presbyterian Church music program, Mt. Lebanon, Pa., the Mt. Lebanon Public Library or Family Hospice, Mt. Lebanon. 

BETTY MacDONALD

Betty MacDonald, 90, of Ligonier, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, in the Bethlen Home in Ligonier Township. She was born June 29, 1909, in Portskerra, Scotland, a daughter of the late Norman and Elizabeth Belford MacKay. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. MacDonald, on Sept. 17, 1988; a son, Alexander W. MacDonald, on Dec. 10, 1995; and seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frederick (Norma C.) Thomas of Newark, Ohio, and Mrs. Richard (Betty Joan) Matson of Ligonier RD1; a son, Robert H. MacDonald of Virginia Beach, Va.; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated Saturday, Nov. 27, at 1 p.m. at her former residence, 501 N. St. Clair St., Ligonier. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethlen Home Activities Fund. LOUISE (BLYSTONE) MENSCH 

Louise (Blystone) Mensch, 75, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, at her home in Richland, Mich. Formerly of the Mt. Pleasant area, she was a daughter of the late Irene and Kenneth Blystone. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford A. Mensch; a sister, Adah Belle Kampitch; and a brother, Darrell T. Blystone. She is survived by her sons, Clifford Mensch of California, John Mensch and Kenneth Mensch of Michigan; daughters, Lena Koger of Galesburg, Mich., and Cathy Banks of Cadillac, Mich.; a brother, Robert J. Blystone of Hancock, Md.; and a sister, Phyllis Carns of Greensburg. She is also survived by six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services were held at FARLEY-ESTES & DOWDLE FUNERAL HOME, Richland, Mich. Interment followed at Fort Custer National Cemetery. 

MARY R. DIVELEY PRITTS 

Mary R. Diveley Pritts, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, in Mt. Gilead, Ohio. She was born Sept. 12, 1918, in Aberdeen, S.D., a daughter of the late Merl D. and Gladys Njos Diveley. She was a member of Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren. Mary was a graduate of Meyersdale High School, Class of 1936. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold O. Pritts, in 1984; and a brother, Merl D. Diveley, in 1997. She is survived by two sons, Wayne Pritts of Villa Ridge, Mo., and Merl Pritts and wife, Fay, of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Karen Goswick and husband, Arthur, of Mt. Gilead, Ohio; a brother, Victor E. Diveley and wife, Priscilla, of North Scituate, R.I.; three sisters, Esther Johnson of Garrett, Pa., Betty Bungard of Meyersdale, Pa., and Helen Wagner of Salisbury, Pa.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Otto L. Saunier Jr., 61, of Moon Township, on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999. Beloved husband of CarolAnn Davis Saunier. Father of Brian and his wife, Lynn Saunier, and Beth and her husband, Bernie Herrmann. M. BLANCHE SHAFFER 

M. Blanche Shaffer, 81, of Penn Run, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, at Indiana Hospital. Daughter of Edward Barr and Vernie Johns Barr, she was born June 13, 1918, in Heilwood. Mrs. Shaffer lived all of her life in Indiana County and worked as a secretary and salesperson for Ager Appliances, Indiana. She was a member of First Christian Church, Pine Flats, Penn Run Senior Citizens, and many community affairs. Mrs. Shaffer is survived by a daughter, Janet Ager of Jeannette; two brothers, William Barr of Indiana and Charles Barr of Diamondville; a sister, Joette Shaffer of Indiana; two grandchildren, Kevin Ager and Kelly Weightman; and two great-grandchildren, Dustin and Paige Ager. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale H. Shaffer; two brothers, Clair and John Barr; a sister, Elizabeth Cramer; and two grandsons, Brian and Curtis Ager. JENNIE MARIE SHRADER 

Jennie Marie Shrader, 94, of South Greensburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, at her home. She was born Nov. 19, 1904, in Greensburg, the daughter of the late Francis and Beulah Quick Albert. She was a member of the South Greensburg United Methodist Church, the Western Pennsylvania Firemen's Auxiliary Association, and a former member of the Dames of Malta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Shrader; and two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Shrader Mates and Mrs. Beulah Shrader Hale. She is survived by her son, Clarence R. Shrader and his wife, Elizabeth, of South Greensburg; five grandchildren, Clarence R. Shrader Jr. of Orlando, Fla., Jeffrey A. Shrader and Mrs. Karen Hillwig, both of Greensburg, Mrs. Kathie Mates Harper of South Greensburg, and Mrs. Renee Harrity of Harrison City; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Husband of Tammy M. (Kauffman); father of Scott and Brandon; son of Joan (Caldwell) Lindsay and her husband, George, of North Huntingdon, and David G. Lois (Mullooly) Zyra, 71, of Turtle Creek, on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999. She was a retired employee of USX, E.T. Works. Mother of Trudy Loughrey (wife of Robert G.) of Villanova, Pa., formerly of Mt. Lebanon, and the late Charles L. ``Zero'' Zyra. Sister of Jane Osman of Turtle Creek. Grandmother of C.J. Starkey, Patrick, Allison, Timothy and Ned Loughrey. Samuel B. Aronson, 79, of Pittsburgh, on Friday, Nov. 5, 1999. Survived by Lorraine Aronson. Father of Marc, Tod, and Jay Aronson. Brother of the late Earle Aronson and Ruth Epstein. Grandfather of Alexander, Brittany, Sarah, and Benjamin. Uncle of Dorothy Light. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the PAUL L. ALBERT W. MUSGROVE
Albert W. Musgrove, 81, of Greensburg RD2 (Norvelt), died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, in Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. He was born Sept. 5, 1918, in Brinkerton, a son of the late Charles and Grace Shoaf Musgrove. He was a member of the Emanuel Bible Church in Brinkerton and the VFW Post 3368, Mt. Pleasant. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machine operator for Dickerson Construction. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant sisters; an infant brother; four brothers, James, Edward, Gary and Russell Musgrove; and a sister, Stella Miller. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Flossie P. Gregory Skotnicki, 47, of Greensburg, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, at the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Nov. 22, 1951, in McKeesport, the son of Frances Ruszkoski Skotnicki of White Oak and the late Ted J. Skotnicki. He was a master plumber for the Chuba Co. of Homestead, a member of the Church of St. Paul in Greensburg, a committee member of Boy Scout Troop 480, also a charter member of the White Oak Rescue and a member of the McKeesport Knights of Columbus 955. JAMES C. FERGUSON
James C. Ferguson, 62, of Ruffsdale, died early Friday morning, Nov. 5, 1999, at his home, after an extended illness. He was born June 19, 1937, in Washington, Pa., a son of Eleanor Moninger Ferguson Fait of Connellsville and the late Howard C. Ferguson. He was a graduate of Trinity High School in Washington, Pa., with the Class of 1955, and also attended West Virginia University in Morgantown. He had been a resident of Ruffsdale for the last nine years and was self-employed in the communication construction business. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and as a young man had achieved the distinction of becoming an Eagle Scout. He was also a member of the Scottdale B.P.O. Elks. He was a member of the Center Bethel Church of God in Alverton. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, J. Cevin Ferguson and his wife, Laurie, of Goldsboro, N.C., and J. Chris Ferguson and his wife, Laura Ann, of Wadsworth, Ohio; two daughters, Cathy Lou and Carrie Michelle Ferguson, both of Monroeville; two grandchildren, Chelcie and Caitlin Ferguson of Goldsboro, N.C.; a brother, Jerry Blair Ferguson and his wife, Judy, of Goldsboro, N.C.; and two sisters, Jane McGann and her husband, Richard, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Jill Reynolds of Connellsville. Charles L. Sayles, 74, of Elizabeth Township, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, in McKeesport Hospital. He was born June 7, 1925, in Shaner, a son of the late Burt and Pearl Fellabaum Sayles. He was a retired employee of the G.C. Murphy Co., McKeesport; a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy; and a member of the Central Highlands United Methodist Church, Elizabeth Township, and the Shaner Gun Club. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Wyman. He is survived by his wife, Clada E. Fontanesi Sayles; two sons, Gerald Sayles of Elizabeth Township and Dwayne Sales of Harrisburg; two grandchildren; three sisters, June Sellman of Elizabeth Township, Sarah Shoaf of Florida, and Alice Miller of Ohio; also nieces and nephews. FLAVIO O. DiFILIPPO
Flavio O. DiFilippo, 81, of 286 Kings Road in Kiski Township, Armstrong County, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, in the Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, where he had been a patient for the past month. Mr. DiFilippo was born March 13, 1918, in Frisa (Provence of Chieti), Italy, a son of the late Oreste and Filomina Mattiole DiFilippo. He came to the Apollo area in 1935 and had lived there since. In 1950, he and his wife purchased the Union House Hotel which they operated until 1972, at which time it was remodeled and renamed Flavio's, which became one of the best known restaurants in western Pennsylvania and is still in operation today. In 1960, they purchased Augustino's Restaurant in Vandergrift and operated it until 1972. He was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church in Apollo. Mr. DiFilippo was a graduate of Michigan State University and was a member of the ``Chef and Cook Association of Pittsburgh'' and was distinguished by this organization by being named the ``Chef of the Year'' in 1988. He also earned the titles of CEC ``Certified Executive Chef'' and CHA ``Certified Hotel Administrator'' and AAC ``American Academy of Chefs.'' He was a cook for the U.S. Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his stepmother, Virginia Giardino DiLollo DiFilippo. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Angeline Donatelli DiFilippo; three sons, Oreste Flavio ``Pete'' DiFilippo, Pasquale Lorenzo ``Patsy'' DiFilippo and Denis Paul DiFilippo, all of Kiski Township; two brothers, Americo DiFilippo and Antonio DiFilippo, both of Kiski Township; a sister, Aurora Fox of Harrisburg; eight grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. John Malinak, 86, of Star Junction, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, in Uniontown Hospital. He was born June 22, 1913, in Donora, a son of the late Michael and Maria Kontura Malinak. Mr. Malinak was a U.S. Army corporal of Battery D, 209th A.A.A. A.W. Battalion in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Anna Matijevich, 86, of Greensburg, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, in the Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec. 16, 1912, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Eli and Milica Strika Perich. She was a member of Holy Ascension Serbian Orthodox Church, Youngwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Matijevich, in 1962; a son, Eli Matovich; two brothers, Cojo and Luka; and three sisters, Anna, Milica, and Mary. She is survived by three sons, George Matovich of Rillton and his former wife, Doreen Matovich of Yukon, Louis Matijevich of Mt. He was trustee of Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh, a 32nd Degree Mason, life member of Syria Temple Shrine and Shidle Lodge #601, and was elder of the Presbyterian Church in Pompano Beach, Fla., and Irwin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sarah (Bailey) Ralph, who died in 1978; and his second wife, Dorothy (Johns) Ralph, who died in 1992. Mary Sue (Bovington) Johnson, 70, of Mt. Lebanon, died peacefully at home on Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Dec. 4, 1928, to the late John R. and Helen Pettibone. She graduated from Wheaton College in Massachusetts in 1951; married C. Bayard Johnson Jr. in 1958; and settled in Pittsburgh in 1971. She is survived by her loving husband, Bayard; daughters and sons-in-law, Cam and Greg Allen of Mt. Lebanon and Gail Johnson and Tim Elgren of Clinton, N.Y.; daughter, Molly Johnson of Seattle, Wash.; son and daughter-in-law, Bayard and Karen Johnson of St. Louis, Mo.; and six grandchildren, Robby, Brad, Scott, Ruth, Ben and Bay. She is also survived by her brother, John R. Bovington of Cleveland, Ohio. She was a dedicated, active grandmother, a member of Southminster Presbyterian Church and active in numerous church and community activities, including Southminster choir, women's hand bell team and AFS student exchange. Her family gratefully acknowledges the outpouring of support throughout the past few months from friends near and far, as well as the caring guidance and support of the Family Hospice. Anna Catherine Zruno, 91, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999, in St. Anne Home, Greensburg. She was born June 2, 1908, in Hannastown, a daughter of the late Stephan and Anna Kuvilich Yusko. She was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, South Greensburg, the Rosary Altar Society and the Living Rosary Society, both of St. Bruno Church. She had been a volunteer kitchen worker for 50 years at St. Bruno Church and a volunteer at Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was a member of the Ladies Jednota Lodge Branch 277. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony J. Zruno, in 1969; by a son, Thomas A. Zruno, in 1993; and by two brothers, John and Stephan Yusko. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Robert (Rita) Herd of Greensburg; four granddaughters, Tamra and her husband, Chuck Wilson, Risa and her husband, Kurt Williams, Toni and her husband, Jeffrey Rankin, and Joyce and her husband, Michael Adamcyk; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Zahorchak of Luxor and Mary Mignogna of Jeannette; and a number of nieces and nephews.
