Ruth Stack, 77, of Sarasota, Fla., died Dec. 18, 1998.
Born Sept. 1, 1921, in Akron, she was a resident until her move to Sarasota, Fla., in 1978. She was a retired bank teller and secretary, and was a member of the Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, William Stack, she is survived by daughters, Susie Nida of Plano, Texas, Sherry Wendle of Boca Raton, Fla., Karen Kalavity of Akron, and Sally Pidwell and Margie Moor, both of Sarasota, Fla.; sons, Ted Murgatroyd of Magnolia, Texas, John Murgatroyd of Sarasota, Fla., Bob Murgatroyd of Akron, and Tom Murgatroyd of Melbourne, Fla.; sister, Verna Buell of Sarasota, Fla., brother, Len Mellinger of Carlsbad, Calif.; 21 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Leonard K. Nanna
BARBERTON -- Leonard Kyre Nanna, 79, died Dec. 20, 1998, at Altercare of Wadsworth.
He was born in New Marshfield, Ohio, and was a life resident of Barberton. He was a manager for 40 years with the former Graber's Pharmacy, and retired from Revco Drug 14 years ago. He was a World War II Army veteran.
Preceded in death by his wife, Esther; and brother, Bill, he is survived by sons, Charles (Carrie) of Tacoma, Wash., Richard of Winnemucca, Nev.; grandchildren, Rebecca and Matthew; sister, Wanda (Bill) Easthom of Norton; nieces and nephews.

William Charles Weirath, 85, of Chicago, formerly of Port Richey, Fla., died Dec. 21, 1998.
He was the beloved husband of the late Marion Weirath (1991); loving father of William C. (Mary J.) Weirath Jr., Thomas (Mary) Weirath, and Nancy Monaghan; devoted grandmother of Elizabeth, Michael, Teresa, Christine, John, Caroline, and Matthew Weirath, Sara, Kevin, and Catherine Sajdak; fond brother of Robert and Harry (Lois) Weirath.

Theodore J. Niewiadomy
Theodore J. Niewiadomy, 77, of Peninsula, was the dear husband of Hessel (nee Hawkins); beloved father of Connie (Ray) Barker, Jody (Jack) Davis, Kenneth Murray, and Jason (Dorothy) Niewiadomy; loving grandfather of Christine, Julie, Jennifer, and Emma; dear brother of Sophie Laffay and the late Sister Mary Milburge, Rudy, and Victor.
Mr. Niewiadomy served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He retired from General Motors, Revere School, and Brandywine Golf Course.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in Peninsula, Ohio, at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 1998. EVERYONE IS ASKED TO PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Jacob Jackson
Jacob Jackson, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 21, 1998, at St. Thomas Medical Center.
He was born in Covington, Tenn., and had lived in this community for 51 years. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, retired from the City of Akron, and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Jackson is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Marie; son, George Jackson Sr.; daughters, Barbara Hicks of Detroit and Joyce Haines of Akron; sister, Johnnie Conway of Akron and Georgia Ware of California; devoted nephews, Eddie Conway and Andrew Lee Jackson; 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, other nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, 1998, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Rev. William C. Bunton officiating. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery. Thomas Hanley Jr.
Thomas Hanley Jr., of 560 Twitchell Rd., Mansfield, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 23, at the home of his daughter, after an extended illness.
Born in Mannington, W. Va., on Dec. 27, 1921, to Thomas W. and Rose Hannah Hanley, he lived in the Akron area most of his life before coming to Mansfield in November. He was a former employee of the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. for 36 years before retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Akron.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Troy Hanley; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Michael Tsavaris, with whom he made his home; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas W. III and Mary Hanley of Silver Lake, Gary L. and Margie Hanley of Hobe Sound, Fla., Robert J. and Richard L. Hanley, both of Akron; grandchildren, Heather, Melissa, Richard, Rachel, Christine, Robert, Kevin, Daniel, Michael Jr.; sisters and brother-in-law, Mildred and Bill Kerr, and Joanne Burns; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son, Dennis Edward Hanley; brother, John; sisters, Helen Hall, Kathryn Warner, Elizabeth Dunnigan, Grace Huey, Rose Dashiell.

Ross Edward Stube
ATHENS, Ohio -- Ross Edward Stube, 16, of Campbell Road, Athens, Ohio, son of Edward and Darlene Champ Stube, passed away Dec. 23 at his home, after a courageous battle while awaiting a heart-lung transplant.
A sophomore at Athens High School, he was a member of Athens High School Band and Athens High School Service Club. An avid outdoorsman and active in assisting others, his zest for life touched many.
In addition to his parents, survivors include maternal grandmother, Virginia Champ of Logan, Ohio; paternal grandparents, Arthur and Roseann Stube of Stow; aunts and uncles, Paula and Mark Unrue of Asheboro, N.C., Christene and Harry Bellman of Cincinnati, Emily Stube and Daryl Habit of Durham, N.C.; uncles, Guy Champ and Greg Champ, both of Logan, Ohio; uncles and aunts, Gary Champ and Vicki Richards of Logan, Ohio, Dian and Mike Sherrick of Logan, Ohio; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Guy Champ.

Joseph J. Stopar, 74, passed away Dec. 23, 1998.
He was born Feb. 16, 1924, in Barberton, served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St. Joseph KSKJ Lodge 110, and the Domovina Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Frances; daughters, Diane (John) Stevenson of Barberton and Charlene (David) Martin of Grove City, Ohio; grandchildren, Jennifer Stevenson, John Stevenson, Jason Martin, and Joshua Martin; brothers, John (Christine) Stopar and William (Wilma) Stopar, both of Norton; sister, Ann (Ted) Hornyak of Norton.

Rebecca L. Sexton, 6, of Kidron, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 1998, from injuries incurred in an automobile accident.
Surviving are her parents; sister, Rachel L. Sexton of the home; paternal grandparents, Clifford and Maxine Sexton of Massillon; and aunts and uncles, Pat and Rob Jacquet of Massillon, Susan and Dave Carson of Wooster, Barb Nipper of Akron, Gerald Blosser of Akron, and Melody and Ronald Bethune of Massillon. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Roy and Mary Frances Blosser.

Patricka (Patti) Ann Rodgers (nee Buchanan)
BRIMFIELD -- Patricka (Patti) Ann Rodgers (nee Buchanan), 61, passed away Dec. 23, 1998, at Hospice Care Center, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She enjoyed traveling, and was an avid golfer. 
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary; her father, Albert; sister, Eldora; and brother, Jerry. She is survived, in her terms, by loving husband, Richard; children, Vicki, Burl, Anthony (Maureen), and Cindy (Michael) Duta; brothers, Edward Moore and Burt Buchanan; uncle, Jim; many grandchildren, and all her devoted family and friends.
Cremation has already taken place. There will be a celebration of her life for friends and family on Jan. 3, 1999, at West Mogadore Country Club, 197 N. Cleveland Ave., Mogadore, from 3 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron 44333.

CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Martha Anne Norton, 89, passed away Dec. 23, 1998.
Mrs. Norton was born in Cleveland and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls since 1957. She had worked for the F. W. Woolworth Co. in Cuyahoga Falls as a clerk, and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William, and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Linda of Boca Raton, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and William Mark; daughter, Phyllis Ott, all of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Ronald Eckert of Lake Ridge, Va.; 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Florence Piekutowski of Middletown, R.I., Pauline Milec of Akron, and Viola Norton of Cuyahoga Falls.
