Patrick A. Quotson, 92 of Akron passed away Dec. 20. Mr. Quotson was
born in Italy and lived in the area for the last 50 years.
He had attended the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was a
retired welder at B & W for 45 years.
He is survived by wife, Caroline; son, Patrick D. of Akron; daughters,
Mary (Gene) Gardner of Barberton and Patti (Jerry) Hammell of Norton; and
stepbrother, Tony DeNoi of Sharpesville, Pa.; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family, there
will be no calling hours.

Frank Anthony ``Tony'' Parravani
Frank Anthony ``Tony'' Parravani, age 28, of Barberton, passed away
Born August 18, 1970 in Barberton, he was the son of Frank P. and Cheryl
(Hiley) Parravani. He grew up in Palmyra, before moving to Barberton two
years ago. Tony attended Southeast Local Schools, and had graduated from
Maplewood Joint Vocational School in 1988. He was active in the Southeast
Ski Club, and was a member of the Western Raiders 4H. He had attended the
University of Akron for two years. He was a dedicated employee of East
Manufacturing in Randolph where he worked as a pneumatics specialist. He
was a member of Teamsters Local 24.
Survivors include his parents, Frank and Cheryl of Palmyra who were
both very proud of Tony; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rhonda and Edward
Boal of Barberton, Micky and Troy Valesko of Cadiz, Ohio; nieces, Jenna
and Bria; grandparents, Lorraine Hiley and Frank Parravani. He will be
sorely missed by those who loved him dearly.
Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright Funeral Home, Ravenna
Chapel, on Tuesday from 3 p.m. until the 7 p.m. memorial service. Cremation

STOW -- Jerry W. Myers, 71, was a gentle man who died peacefully at
The Briarwood on December 19, 1998.
Those who knew him will remember him as a man of integrity, honesty,
and industry. Jerry was a man who loved sailing, hiking, horses and his

Josephine Myers, he will be greatly missed by his children, Larry Myers
of Thornville, Ohio, Debbie Shearer and husband, Douglas of Silver Lake,
Ohio, and Kevin and wife, Paula of Hudson, Ohio; four grandchildren, Tamra,
Emily, Travis, and Michael will remember ``Grandpa Jerry'' as a loving
and enduring influence in their lives. Jerry is also survived by brothers,
Jack and wife, Nancy, Edgar and wife, Jean, and sister, Ruth Singhass.
After graduating from Salem College with a B. A. in Business Administration,
Jerry Myers had a long and distinguished career in public accounting. He
was a lifetime member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants
and a retired executive from Roadway Express. He was active in his community
through his membership in Kiwanis Club of Akron, Masonic Star Lodge 187
F&AM, Tadmor Temple, Yusef Khan Grotto, and the Scottish Rite. He proudly
served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. Jerry was a member of First
United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls and was active for many years
in the Wesley Sunday School Class.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 22 at 7 P.M. in
the Chapel of Good Shepherds at the First United Methodist Church, 245
Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests
that memorials be made either to the First United Methodist Church Gifts
and Memorial Fund or Jerry's favorite charity, the Salvation Army.

David W. Myers, 34, of Akron, passed away Saturday, December 19, 1998.
He was born May 19, 1964 in Barberton the son of Mervin Sr. and Ora
Jean Myers. Mr. Myers was employed by Gayson SDI as a mill operator.
Survivors include his wife, April; mother, Ora Jean; sisters and brother-in-law,
Denise Myers, Bev and John Zushin, and Vicki Harris; brother and sister-in-law,
Mervin Jr. and Cathy Myers; stepchildren, Tammy Cole and Jerry Miller;
several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of friends. Preceded
in death by his Father Mervin Sr. in 1997.

BARBERTON -- Paul G. Mong Sr., age 91, died December 20, 1998.
Mr. Mong was a life resident of Barberton and Norton, a member of the
Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus 1617,
and retired in 1969 from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Liola Mong in 1982; three brothers;
and three sisters; and son, Thomas Mong in 1955; and special friend, Mary

CUYAHOGA FALLS -- Antonino (Tony) Amato, 75, of Cuyahoga Falls, died
Monday, Dec. 21, 1998.
Mr. Amato was born in Akron on Nov. 11, 1923. He retired in 1988 as
an iron worker for Iron Workers Local 17 after 42 years. He was a veteran
of World War II, serving in the Army, a member of V.F.W. Cuyahoga Falls
Post 1062, and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

John W. Antonette ``Bill''
John W. Antonette, much loved husband, father, and grandpa, passed
away Saturday, December 19, 1998.
Born on July 16, 1934, in Smith Township, Pa., he was a resident of
Cuyahoga Falls since 1975. He retired from the Chrysler Corp. after 28
years, and served in the United States Navy from 1955-1960.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy
and Robert Spade, and Brenda and Richard Martin; son and daughter-in-law,
John A. and Kathy Antonette; daughter and fiance, Sabrina Antonette and
James Darnell Ferguson; grandchildren, Charidy, Joshua, Angela, Bill, Johnny,
and Jimmy; great-grandchild, Sarah. All who will miss him dearly.
We all would like to pass on our sincerest thanks to all at Summit
Villa Care Center for the care given to patient and family alike.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the Hennessy-Bagnoli
Funeral Home, 339 Southwest Ave., Tallmadge, with Rev. George Hazlett officiating.
Interment Chestnut Hill Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m.
