CARL S. ADDAMS of Osprey, Florida; formerly of Cleveland and Marysville, Ohio, died at age 70 of an environmental disease on November 26. After graduating from Oil City (PA) High School and Fenn College in Cleveland, Carl served the U.S. Counter Intelligence Corp during the Korean conflict. At Fenn he was active with Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He was a career industrial engineer in both the private and public sectors. Survivors include Madeleine, his wife of 40 years; son John and daughter Patricia (Jonathan) Padfield, both in San Diego, CA; daughter Stacey in Columbus, OH; brother John (Rita) in Mayfield Village and sister Patricia (Gilbert) Dubray in Cleveland. A memorial service will be held in Sarasota, Florida with interment in nearby Venice.

JAMES R. ANDERSON, 76 of Hamilton Arms in Lancaster, PA., died of natural causes Wednesday at the nursing home. Born in Cleveland, he was the son of the late James R. and Dorothy May King Anderson. He was a computer operator for Jones and Laughlin Steel for 25 years, working in various locations. Anderson was a volunteer locksmith in the security department of the former St. Joseph Hospital. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Surviving are a daughter, Virginia E. Anderson of Alexandria, VA.; two sons, Richard J. Anderson of Annandale, VA. and Douglas R. MARY BATEMAN BARNARD, age 87, died Nov. 26, 2001 in Williamsburg, VA. She was a resident of the Cleveland area for over 30 years, returning to her home state of New Hampshire in 1979. LEWIS W. 'Jack'' BECHTEL, 70, of Ft. Myers, FL., passed away Oct. 1, 2001. He was a graduate of Mansfield High School in 1949 and a graduate of Fenn College/Cleveland State University Business School in 1953. He played golf, was an avid fisherman and enjoyed sports. Jack retired from LTV Steel in Cleveland in 1994 at the age of 64, after working there for 32 years. He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Bechtel; sons, Richard L.
