Robert Forbriger
Robert Scott Forbriger, 78 died February 16,
1999, in Colorado Springs, Colo. He was born March 5, 1920 in Oxford Ohio
and was married to Donna Forbriger for 54 years.
Memorial services were held Sunday, Feb. 21, at
Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Colorado Springs, Colo., where he and his wife
had been members since moving from North Hollywood, Calif. six years ago.

Irene Puckett
Irene Puckett, 67, of Liberty, Ind., died Wednesday,
May 26, 1999 at the Hillcrest Estates Nursing Home, of Liberty. She was
born Dec. 21, 1931 in London, Ky.
She had lived in the Liberty area about 60 years.
She married Carl E. Puckett on Nov. 3, 1954 in Newport, Ky.
Services were held Saturday, May 29 at the Showalter-Blackwell-Long
Funeral Home, Baker-Fosdick Chapel of Liberty, Ind. Burial followed in
Sims Cemetery, Franklin County, Ind.

Donnie M. Hackworth
Donnie M. Hackworth, 84, of Hamilton, died Wednesday,
May 26, 1999 at The Franciscan at Schroder. She was born in Harris, Ga.
and married Clifton Hackworth in 1948 in Lorain, Ohio. She was a member
of the Darrtown Baptist Church.
Services were held Friday, May 28 at the Weigel
Funeral home, with the Rev. Ralph Morris officiating. Burial was in Rose
Hill Burial Park.

Erma L. Rogers Paxton
Erma L. Rogers Paston, 94, of College Corner,
Ohio, died Monday, May 31, 1999 at the Oxford View Nursing Center, where
she had been a resident since 1994. She was born June 11, 1904 in Bisbee,
Ariz. She married Hilbert Rogers in 1927 and moved to Oxford, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Hilbert
Rogers.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. today
at the Oxford Cemetery.

Amanda Lou McNally
Amanda Lou McNally, 71, a former resident of Oxford,
died Saturday, May 29, 1999 in Huntington Court. She was born Nov. 11,
1927 in Chevids, Ala. She was employed as a clerk at the Colony Food Mart.
Funersl services were held Tuesday at the Colligan
Funeral Home in Hamilton. Burial was in Lumpkin County, Ga. cemetery.

Marie Anna Jirina Masin Schollar
Marie Anna Jirina Masin Schollar, 89, of Napa,
Calif., died Thursday, May 27, 1999. She was born April 24, 1910 in Orech/Prague
in the Czech Republic.
On Sept. 20, 1932 she married Jur. D. Karel B.F.
Schollar in Prague at the Archidiaconal Church of the Lord at Smichov.
A mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church
and burial will be in the Oxford Cemetery.
Smith and Ogle Funeral Home is in charge of the
arrangements.

Herbert L. Oerter
Herbert L. Oerter, 81, professor emeritus of history
at Miami University, died May 28 in Austin, Texas.
A specialist in the history of medieval Europe
and 14th century Italy, he joined Miami's faculty in 1966, first as an
assistant professor at the Wright State campus and later in the same capacity
at the Oxford campus. He retired in 1984.
A memorial mass was held Friday, June 4, at St.
Mary's Catholic Church, 111 East High St., Oxford. Burial was in the Oxford
Cemetery. Smith and Ogle Funeral Home, Oxford, is in charge of arrangements.

Bob Blake
Bob Blake, 69, associate director of admission
at Miami University from 1965 through 1990, died May 29 at Good Samaritan
Hospital in Cincinnati. A native of Wheeling, W. Va., Blake earned a master's
degree from Miami. He joined Miami's admission staff as assistant director,
becoming associate director in 1974.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 2,
at Oxford United Methodist Church.
Smith and Ogle Funeral Home, was in charge of

Wade Allen
Wade F. Allen, 83, died on Monday, May 31 at his
home. Allen was born August 10, 1915 in Liberty, Kentucky, one of 11 children.
He retired from Hamilton Tool in 1978 where he
had served as Master Electrician for 15 years. He then became a self-employed
owner of Allen Electric Company.
Services were held Thursday, June 3. Burial was
in the Fairmount Cemetery in Camden.

Sudie Tipton
Sudie Tipton, 91, of Bath, Indiana, died Tuesday,
June 1 at Hillcrest Manor in Liberty, Indiana.
Tipton was born on February 4, 1908 in Rosehill,
Virginia.
She married David Tipton on September 18, 1924,
in Harland, Kentucky. The couple moved to Bath, Indiana in 1958.
Services were held Saturday, June 5. Burial was
in College Corner Cemetery.

Harry Bentley
Harry "Hank" R. Bentley, 51, of Oxford died Thursday,
June 3 at his home. Bentley was born on June 10, 1947 in Cleveland.
He served in the United States Air Force and moved
to Oxford in 1976. He was employed by SDS food delivery service and most
recently by Paragon in Oxford.
A memorial service was held Saturday, June 5 at
Locust Grove Picnic Area in Hueston Woods State Park.

Hubert Buckley
Hubert Buckley, 86, died Saturday, June 5.
He graduated from Union High School in College
Corner, Ohio. He married Irene Jackson of College Corner on September 1,
1936 in liberty, Indiana.
He bred and raised Registered Quarter Horses and
Border Collies. He, along with a friend, started he 4-H Horse Program in
Butler County. He was a farmer for 57 years in Oxford.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, June
10 at St. Mary's catholic Church, with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Oxford.
The family suggests that memorials may be made
to a charity of one's choice.

Burdette Pierce
Burdette J. Pierce, 80, of Hamilton, died June
2 at the Hospice of Cincinnati at Mercy Hospital of Hamilton. He was born
in Orchard Park, New York on November 1, 1918.
He married Irene M. Arnold on November 4, 1940
in Eaton.
He worked as a meat cutter, was the former owner
of Bert's Rolling Fruit Market and Irene's Donut Shop and worked for the
First National Bank of Southwestern Ohio. He retired in 1982.
Services were June 5. Burial was in College Corner
Cemetery.

Shirley Walker
Shirley K. Walker, 91, died June 5 at Otterbien
Home in Lebanon. Walker was born in Milford Township. She graduated from
Middletown High School and Oberlin College. She married Charles Sebald
and had two daughters.
She was the District Girl Scout Leader and the
District Director of the Hamilton YWCA. She was also a teacher at Hayes
Elementary School in Hamilton for many years.
Services were held Wednesday, June 9. Burial was
at the Darrtown Cemetery in Darrtown, Ohio.

Juanita Lancaster
Juanita J. Lancaster, 74, of Richmond, Indiana,
died Thursday, June 3 at the Oak Ridge Rehab and Speciality Care Center
in Richmond. Lancaster was born in Shelby County, Indiana.
She was a member of the Liberty Church of Christ
in Liberty. She worked for RCA in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida as an inspector
and retired after 14 years.
Services were held June 7. Burial was at the Maple
Grove Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana.

Nicholas Woodward
Nicholas Lee Woodward, 23, of West College Corner,
Ind., died Friday, June 4, 1999 at his residence. He was born in Hamilton
on Aug. 28, 1975.
He was employed as a manager for Meijer in Hamilton
for the past two years. On Aug. 15, 1998, in Oxford, he married Sasha Hillard.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 9,
at Brown-Dawson Funeral Home, 1350 Millville Ave. Visitation was held Wednesday
at the funeral home.

Earl L. Corbin
Earl L. "Land Man" Corbin, 78, of Hamilton, died
Saturday, June 5, 1999 at Ft. Hamilton Hughes Hospital in Hamilton, after
suffering a sudden heart attack. He was born July 15, 1920 in Hamilton.
He was educated in the Hanover schools. On July 28, 1979 he married Carolyn
J. Seals in Oxford.
He was a realtor for 35 years, currently with
the Huff Realty. He specialized in farm real estate.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 9,
at the Webb Noonan Funeral Home. Entombment was in the Rose Hill Burial
Park Mausoleum.
