Alma Gladys Corson, 88, (Martin) died March 2, 1999 at Tri-County Extended Care Center.

She was born in Cincinnati and married Albert Corson. They settled in Hamilton after a brief residence in Seven Mile. He preceded her in death in 1995.

Graveside services were held for the family. Webb Noonan Funeral Home of Hamilton was in charge of the arrangements.

Douglas N. Garwood
Douglas N. Garwood, 49, of Liberty, Ind., died Friday, March 5 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was born Sept. 2, 1950, in Montgomery County, Ohio.

He resided in Arcanum, Ohio for 22 years until moving to Union County, Ind. in 1996. He was the Secretary Treasurer for Technicote Corp. in Miamisburg, Ohio for 15 years. He retired in 1998 due to illness and has been farming ever since.

Services were held March 9 at Showalter-Blackwell-Long Funeral Home, Baker Fosdick Chapel, Liberty, Ind. Burial was in West Point Cemetery, Liberty, Ind.

Military graveside rites were conducted by the American Legion and the V.F.W. Posts of Liberty, Ind.

Contributions may be made to the Fayette memorial Hospital Hospice.

Janet Pasley Wilson
Janet Pasley Wilson, 58, of Oxford, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 1999 at the Oxford View Nursing Center. She was born on Feb. 5, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio.

Services were held at the Wells Funeral Home in Stanton, Ky. on Tuesday, March 2.

Burial was in the Stanton Cemetery.

Linda Schnipper
Linda Sue (Martin) Schnipper, 39, of Oxford, died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, of cancer.

She was born Jan. 2, 1960 in Cincinnati, the daughter of Wayne and Helen (Kisker) Martin. She graduated from Talawanda High School in June, 1978, and earned a BSEd. in science from Miami University in 1982.

She was employed as a science teacher at Wilson Junior High School in Hamilton, Ohio from 1984 to 1998. She married Michael Schnipper on July 20, 1990 in Hamilton, Bermuda.

A memorial service will be held at the Oxford Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 20, at 1 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Linda Martin Schnipper Christian Education Fund, Oxford Presbyterian Church, 101 N. Maim St., Oxford, Ohio 45056, or to the Miami University Field Hockey program.

Loyd Arnold Singleton
Loyd Arnold Singleton, 67, of Oxford, died Saturday, March 6, 1999 at McCullough-Hyde memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 14, 1931 in Waco, Ky. On October 14, 1950 he married Iris West in Liberty, Ind. He worked for the City of Oxford for many years and was well-known throughout the Oxford community.

Funeral services were held March 11 at the Brookville Road Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brookville Road Baptist Church.

Elizabeth L. Blackburn
Elizabeth L. Blackburn, 87, of Oxford, died Saturday, March 6, 1999, at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 19, 1911 in New Trenton, Ind. On June 20, 1929 she married Eugene Blackburn.

A resident of the Oxford area her entire married life, she was an avid gardener who enjoyed the outdoors and loved flowers. She was a member of the Reily Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 10 at the Smith and Ogle Funeral Home in Oxford.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Reily Presbyterian Church.

Margaret E. Ford
Margaret E. Ford, 98, of Oxford, died Sunday, March 7, 1999 at the Oxford View Nursing Center.

She was born April 24, 1900 in Samantha, Ohio. She had been the head resident of Bailey Hall at Wilmington College from 1964 until 1971.

Services were held at Thursday, March 11, at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial followed in the Hillsboro Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the James D. Ford Memorial Fund, c/o Hillsboro High School Athletic Department, 358 West Main St., Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.

Russell Petro
Russell H. Petro, 86, of Richmond, Ind., died Wednesday, March 10, 1999 at the Heritage Regency Nursing Home in Richmond. He was born July 16, 1912 in Connersville, Ind. He has lived in the area all his life. He retired in 1968 from the College Corner Implement Co., where he served as a mechanic for 18 years.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 13 at the Showalter-Blackwell-Long Funeral Home, Baker-Fosdick Chapel in College Corner, Ohio. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery, Morning Sun, Ohio.

Contributions may be made to the Hopewell Church.

Carmen Ann Dunigan
Carmen A. Dunigan, 45, of Rushville, Ind., died Monday, March 8, 1999 in Oxford.

She was born Nov. 3, 1953 in Richmond, Ind. She graduated from Liberty Short High School in 1972. She was a factory worker in Gecom in Greensburg.

She was also employed as a house cleaner for 15 years.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 13, at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville, Ind. Burial was in Orange North Cemetery, Fayette County, Ind.

Memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity.

Olive M. Hormell
Olive M. Hormell, 76, of Wilmington, Ohio, died Thursday, March 11, 1999 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital. She was born Nov. 17, 1922 in West Union.

Services were held Saturday, March 13 at the Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Sugar Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Hospice of Clinton County, 61 E. Main St., Wilmington, Ohio 45177.

Evelyn V. Bronson
Evelyn V. Bronson, 95, a resident of Westover Retirement Community since 1993, died Monday, March 8, at 5:30 p.m. at her residence. She was born in New Castle, Ind. She was a 1921 graduate of New Castle High School and attended Western College for Women.

She was employed at Miami University and the Phi Kappa Tau National Office, both in Oxford. Memorial services will be held on a date to be chosen by the family. Burial will be in the Garden at Trinity Episcopal Church.

Memorials may be given to a favorite charity. Weigel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Marshall J. Hicks
Marshall J. Hicks, 66, of Brookville, Ind., died Friday, March 12, 1999 at the Veterans Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born July 12, 1932 in Somerset, Ky.

He married Shirley Rutherford on September 14, 1950 in Somerset before serving in the US Army from 1952 to 1955. He was a retired crane operator for Southwestern Ohio Steel in Hamilton, Ohio.

Services were held Monday, March 15. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, Ind. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Daniel P. Gambrell
Daniel Patrick Gambrell, 20, of Eaton, died on Friday, March 12, 1999 in Eaton. He was born on November 22, 1978 at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, Ohio.

He attended Preble-Shawnee and Edgewood High Schools and was employed as a laborer at Anderson Pallet Company in Lewisburg, Ohio.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 17, 1999 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Camden. R.C. Nein & Sons - Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Gladys C. Slamer died Saturday, March 13, 1999 at her home in Oxford. She was born in Janesville, Wisc. and married Don Slamer in 1930. They celebrated more than 61 years of marriage before his death in 1991. They resided in Reily for many years.

Graveside services were held Thursday, March 18 at the Springdale Cemetery, Reily, Ohio. Smith & Ogle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mae F. Napier, 88, died Friday, March 12, 1999 at the Woodland Country Manor. She was born June 16, 1911 in London, Ky.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 16, at the Rough Creek Cemetery in London, Ky.
