Evelyn Brown
Evelyn Brown, 72, of Camden, died Tuesday, Oct.
6 at Sycamore Hospital in Miamisburg.
She was born Nov. 5, 1925 in Camden, the daughter
of Charles R. and Lola (Parrish) Cupp. She graduated from Camden High School
and attended Ball State University.
Funeral Services were held Saturday at R.C. Nein
& Sons -Thompson Funeral Home in Camden, with Rev. James D. Whorton
officiating. Burial followed in the Fairmount Cemetery in Camden.
Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Dayton,
324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420.

William Hayes Buttree William Hayes Buttree, 97,
of Oxford, died Monday, Oct. 12, 1998, Oxford View Nursing Center.
He was born on May 8, 1901, in Rockcastle County,
Ky., the son of Mitchel and Emma (Thompson) Buttree.
He married Alpha Bowling on Nov.15, 1922 and they
celebrated 67 years of marriage before her death on September 26, 1990.
He was a farmer, logger and miner in the Manchester area before moving
to Oxford in 1946 where he farmed and worked for 19 years as a master carpenter
at Miami University retiring in 1963.
Funeral services were held at the Oxford Pentecostal
Church Thursday, Oct. 15, with the Revs. Riley Parker and James Hensley
officiating.
Burial was at the Oxford Cemetery. Smith &
Ogle Funeral Home, Oxford, was charge of the arrangements.

Allen D. Todd
Allen D. Todd, 66, of College Corner, Ohio, died
Tuesday, Oct. 6 at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford, following
a lengthy illness. He was born Feb. 13, 1932 in Richmond, Ky. He lived
in the College Corner area for the past 30 years.
He was a popular singer and musician in and around
the Miami Valley for many years. He worked at Square D in Oxford for more
than 30 years in quality control and for the last 20 years as an industrial
engineer, retiring in 1991.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Combs,
Parsons and Collins Funeral Home of Richmond, Ky.
Contributions may be made to the Diabetes Foundation
at the funeral home.

Crystal E. Coughlin
Crystal E. Coughlin, 91, of the Friends Fellowship
Community, Richmond, Ind., and formerly of Liberty, Ind., died Thursday,
Nov. 5, 1998, at the Friends Fellowship Community. She was born on July
28, 1907 in Clay City, Ind.
She had served on the board of directors for the
Union County Library and for the Union County Foundation Board.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 9, at
the Showalter-Blackwell Funeral Home. Baker-Fosdick Chapel in Liberty.
The Rev. Dawn Gold, pastor of her church, officiated.
Burial was at West Point Cemetery, Liberty.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Union
County Historical Society in her memory at the funeral home.

Arlene R. Isler
Arlene R. Isler, of Okeana, died Thursday, Nov.
5, 1998.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 9, at
the St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Shandon.

Margaret B. Loge
Margaret B. Loge, 78, of Oxford, died Sunday,
Nov. 8, 1998, at the Oxford View Nursing Center where she had been a resident
for the past several years. She was born on June 19, 1920, in Oxford. She
graduated From Mc Guffey High School in the class of 1939.
She worked for Miami University in the 1809 room
from 1957-1983 as a cook.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, Nov. 11,
at the First Christian Church, 5877 Todd Road. Smith & Ogle Funeral
Home, Oxford, was in charge of the arrangements.
Burial was at the Oxford Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Oxford
Life Squad.

Ada Caudill
Ada Caudill, age 85, of Oxford died Thursday,
Nov. 26, 1998, at the Oxford View Nursing Home.
She was born in Letcher County, Ky., on June 23,1913,
the daughter of Ezekial and Martha (Melton) Caudill. She moved to Oxford
where she worked as a presser at the Oxford Laundry for twenty years.
Funeral services were held Monday morning, Nov.
30, at the Smith & Ogle Funeral Home with the Rev. Ellis Amburgy officiating.
Burial followed at the Oxford Cemetery.

William Walter Hageman
William Walter Hageman, 89, died Nov. 22, 1998,
in Riverside, Calif. He was born July 31, 1909, in Independence, Ky.
A graveside service was held Saturday, Nov. 28,
at the Somerville Cemetery, Somerville, with the Rev. Harold Horton officiating.

Elizabeth Marie King
Elizabeth Marie King, age 74, 900 Tollgate Drive,
Oxford, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati.
She was born in Richmond, Ky., on Oct. 25, 1924. She moved to Cincinnati
where she lived until coming to Oxford seven years ago. She was a member
of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Oxford.
Visitation and funeral services were held Sunday
at Kingdom Hall in Oxford. Smith & Ogle Funeral Home was in charge
of services.

Bruce V. Weidner
Bruce V. Weidner, 90, professor emeritus of chemistry
at Miami University, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 1998, at Oxford View Nursing
Center. Weidner joined the Miami faculty in 1947 and taught for 32 years,
retiring at the age of 70 in 1979.
