Walter "Buster" R. Gentry, 54, of West College
Corner, Ind., died Wednesday, March 18, at the VA Hospital in Cincinnati.
He was born Dec. 18, 1943, in Oxford, and graduated
from College Corner High School, the class of 1961.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 21,
at the Smith and Ogle Funeral Home.
Burial was in the College Corner Cemetery.
Marie Maxine Hart
Marie Maxine Hart, 87, 215 W. High St., Liberty,
Ind., died Monday at Hillcrest Estates Nursing Home in Liberty, Ind. She
was born on Jan. 18, 1911.
Public entombment services will be were held at
the West Point Mausoleum, Liberty. Thursday with the Rev. Dwight Gillespie,
pastor of her church, officiating. Entombment followed in the mausoleum.
Showalter-Blackwell Funeral Home, Baker-Fosdick
Chapel, Liberty, was in charge of the arrangements.
Daniel L. Hurst
Daniel L. Hurst, 62, of Hamilton, died at Fort
Hamilton-Hughes Memorial Hospital on Sunday, March 15. He was born Nov.
1, 1935, in Dayton and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1953. He
attended Bowling Green State University and Purdue University. He played
football for Hamilton High and Bowling Green State University and was drafted
by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Funeral Services were held at Webb Noonan Funeral
Home with the Rev. Norman M. Wright officiating. Burial followed inthe
Rose Hill Burial Park.
Kathryn Dittman Kriete
Kathryn Dittman Kriete, 97, of Oxford, died Saturday,
March 21, at the home of her son in Hamilton. She was born in Hanover Township.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the McGonigle-Millville
United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Larry Brock officiating.
Burial was in Glen Haven Cemetery, Harrison, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed
to the McGonigle-Millville United Methodist Church, 2370 Lanes Mill Road.
Wiegel Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Delia Smallwood
Delia Smallwood, 85, of Oxford, died Saturday,
March 21, 1998, at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield, Ohio. She was born Sept.
28, 1912, in Clay County, Ky.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Britton
Funeral Home in Manchester.
Raleigh W. Smith
Raleigh W. Smith Jr., 320 Eaton Ave., Hamilton,
died of lung cancer Friday, March 6. He was born Sept. 11, 1940, and grew
up in Spokane, Wash.
Services were held at Trinity Episcopal Church
Saturday with the Rev. Canon J. Mark Goodman officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials
to the Trinity Episcopal Church or Hospice of Cincinnati.
Vesta M. Baudendistel
Vesta M. Baudendistel, 88, of 14069 Mud Road,
Brookville, Ind., died Friday, Feb. 13, 1998, at McCullough-Hyde Memorial
Hospital Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 17, morning at the Cook
Funeral Home, in Brookville. Officiating were the Revs. Karen Montgomery
and the Jon Kaufman.
Burial was in Old Franklin Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Old
Franklin United Methodist Church or cemetery of the Franklin County EMS.
Daniela Blazek
Daniela Blazek died at home peacefully at home
on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998, after a difficult struggle with diabetes.
She is survived by her grandmother, Katherine
Guckler of Oxford and loved one, Ric Glauser. Donations can be sent to
the Kidney Foundation of Greater Cincinnati, 2330 Victory Parkway, Cincinnati,
Ohio 45206 in honor of the Southwest Ohio Dialysis Services.
George W. Clark
George W. Clark, 82, of 2 E.Union St. Apt. 2,
Liberty, Ind., died at his residence Feb. 12, 1998.
He was born Nov. 22, 1915, to Johnnie and Adeline
Burch Clark in Clay County, Ky.
Funeral services were held at the Showalter-Blackwell
Funeral Home, Baker-Fosdick Chapel, Liberty, Ind., Tuesday, Feb. 16. The
Rev. Ernest Owens, pastor of Liberty Church of the Nazarene, officiated.
Burial followed in West Point Cemetery, Liberty,
Ind.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Liberty
Church of the Nazarene.
Jasmine Leann Osborne
Jasmine Leann Osborne died shortly after birth
Feb. 10, 1998, at University of Cincinnati Hospital.
Funeral services were held on Feb. 16 at the First
Church of God, 40 Barnetts Mill Road, Camden, with the Rev. Bobby Hollon
officiating. Burial followed in the Oxford Cemetery in Oxford. R.C. Nein
and Son's-Limber Funeral Home/Willard Moss Jr Memorial Chapel assisted
the family with arrangements.
