Canisteo, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at St. James Hospital.
She had been employed as a licensed practical nurse at the 
former Bethesda Community Hospital in North Hornell and St. 
James Hospital in Hornell. She also had been employed as an 
administrator at Maple Crest Manor in Hornell prior to her 
retirement in 1992.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Ann Johner of Hornell; a 
son, John Robert Wilkinson of North Carolina; a sister, 
Beverly Jones of Florida.
Calling hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brown & Powers 
Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo.
Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours 
at 2 p.m., the Rev. Thomas Burr officiating. Burial will be in

WELLSBORO, Pa. | Calvin E. Williams, 83, of Mainesburg, died 
Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at Soldiers and Sailors Hospital.
He retired from the American Can Company, Fairfax, N.Y.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Louise (Faulkner) 
Williams; a son Roger Calvin Williams of Rochester, N.Y.; a 
daughter, Joan Hoyt-Lisowski of Mainesburg; a brother, Wayne 
Williams of Utica, N.Y.; two sisters, Jeanette Smoth of Flint, 
Mich. and Emma Morrison of Jamestown, N.Y.
Calling hours are 6-8 p.m. Saturday and 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the 
Jacquelyn a. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, 
P.C. 637 South Main Street, Mansfield.
Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours

Delores T.  Williams
ROCHESTER | Delores T. Williams, of Rochester formerly of 
Arkport died Monday, May 13, 2002 at Arbor Hill Care Center.
She had been a housekeeper at Bethel Nursing Home in Chicago 
also for the former Bethesda Hospital in North Hornell.
Survivors include six daughters, Yvonne Starkjohann of 
Lynbrook, Nancy Keib of Wellsville, Pat Keiling, Rochester, 
Jeannie Washburn of Alfred Station, Suzanne Casas of Batavia 
and Cheryl Shuttleworth of Medina, Ohio; two sons, Merritt 
Williams, of Rochester and Michael Williams of Lyons.
There will be no calling hours.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

ROCHESTER | Edith F. Williams, 93, formerly of Hornell, died 
Friday, March 29, 2002 at the Monroe Community Hospital after 
a long illness.
She had been a medical secretary.
Survivors include one son, John L. Williams of Rochester.

Services will be held there at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will

GENEVA | Charles B. "Chub" Williams, 78, of Himrod, died 
Monday, June 10, 2002 at the Geneva General Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Webster Williams; two sons,

Spencer; a daughter, Kythryn Irons of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, 
Virginia Torpy of Montour Falls; a brother, Harold Williams of

CORNING | Max D. Willow, 67, of 20 Townsend Ave., died Monday, 
June 10, 2002 at Corning Hospital.
He worked for Corning Inc. as a gaffer for more than 35 years.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Ann Willow; four 
daughters, Maxine Grace Huddle of Vestal, Lola Hogan of 
Christianburg, Va., and Delores Warner and Angie Allyn, both 
of Corning; four sons, Bruce Max Willow and Gary Bredderman, 
both of Corning, Dick Bredderman and Joshua Bredderman, both 
of Tyrone; one sister, Evelyn Steves of Campbell; three 
brothers, Willis Willow of Corning, Leon Willow of Las Vegas, 
Nev., and Charles Willow of Bath.

Wednesday, June 5, 2002.
He was a sales representative for Frito Lay. He had worked for 
Uni-Mart in Alfred and McDonald's in Hornell.
Survivors include two sons, Jason Winant of Hornell and 
Christopher Winant of Canisteo; three brothers, Kevin Winant 
of Elkland, Pa., Brian Winant of Brockport and David Winant of 
Hornell.

N.C.; one son, Brand-on Windows of Addison; mother, Jean

Kenny Windows of Tioga, Pa., and Gerald Windows of Corning.

HORSEHEADS | Anna R. "Anne" Wingate, 79, of 9922 County Route 
9, Avoca, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002 at Bethany Manor.
She had been a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Foley of Avoca and 
Marsha Telian of Sidney; a son, James Wingate of Fairport.
There will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the 
Wallace Wesleyan Church, the Rev. Daniel Pickering 
officiating. Burial will be in Bath National Cemetery at the 
convenience of the family.

WELLSBORO, PA. | Robert D. Withrow, 84, of Princeton St., 
died, Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at the Green Home.
He had worked for Corning Inc., Wellsboro Division for 40 
years, retiring in 1979.
Survivors include his wife, Waneta A. Dartt Withrow; two 
daughters, Lynda Hazelton of Wellsboro and Patricia Chilson of 
Lakeland, Fla.

Anne  Wojnowski 
HORSEHEADS | Anne Wojnowski, 92, of Pioneer Trailer Village, 
died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002 at the Elcor Health Care Center 
Facility in Horseheads.
She was a World War II veteran of the Women's Royal English 
Navy. She worked as a secretary for the Southern Tier 
Association of the Blind in Elmira of 36 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Kay of Vestal; a sister 
Mary Keating of Wirral, England.

died unexpectedly Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002 at home.
She had been a seamstress for the former Men's Shop in 
Hornell.

Melinda Wood, all of Hornell, Sally Winrock of Fairport, Mary 
Wood of Shelby, N.C., and Patricia Pinzok of Cranberry 
Township, Pa.; two sons, John Wood of Cleveland, Ohio, and Jim 
"Woody" Wood of Hornell; two brothers, Lawrence "Bud" McCarthy 
of Hornell and Michael McCarthy of Elmira.

years, retiring as manager from the Hornell store.

daughter, Lois Arbuco of Maryland; a sister, Petronella 
Killigrew, of Wilton, Conn.; and a brother, Gerald Killigrew 
of Lindley.
A prayer service will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at

Woodworth of Virgina; and her children, also of Lockport.

COUDERSPORT, PA. | Charles E. Wright Jr., 77, of 
Sunderlinville, formerly of Westfield and Catlin, N.Y., died 
Saturday July 6, 2002 at the Cole Memorial Hospital in 
Coudersport.
He was employed by Thatcher Glass, Schweizer Aircraft and Cub 
Ransom Construction. He was also pastor of the Sunderlinville 
Gospel Church.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Mary Jane Wright of 
Sunderlinville; a son, Martin E. Wright of Sunderlinville; a 
daughter, Bonnie Hann of Galeton.

ROCHESTER | Nellie J. Warfle Wright, 92, of Episcopal Church 
Home, Rochester, formerly of Wellsboro, Pa., died Wednesday, 
Sept. 18, 2002.
She was a retired Registrar of Vital Statistics for the State 
of Pennsylvania.
Survivors include a son, Hugh M. Warfle of Geneva; a stepson, 
Walter Wright of Webster; a stepdaughter, Violet Cantin of 
Webster; a sister, Gertrude Kirk of Bath.

Pa., died Sunday, May 5, 2002 at Ira Davenport Hospital.
He had been employed by Pennsylvania Wire Rope for 27 years.
Survivors include a son, Harold Yoder III of Williamsport, 
Pa.; two daughters, Janet Simmons of Corning and Laura Smith 
of Williamsport, Pa.; three sisters, Marian Bennett and 
Mildred Vegel, both of Williamsport, Pa., and Clara Allen of 
Avis, Pa.

She was a nursing attendant for the former State Hospital at 
Willard, N.Y.

He retired from Corning Glass Works in 1970.

He was a Vietnam veteran and a former employee of ABB Air

Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002 at home.
She had worked as a nurse's aid at Broad Acres Nursing Home, 
an inspector for Wundies Inc., a housekeeper for the Penn 
Hotel, and worked for Frank King Studios.
Survivors include four daughters, Gale Monks and Cindy Fuller 
of Wellsboro, Sherry King of York, and Sandra Harlacker of 
Dover.

Elmira Heights, died Saturday June 15, 2002.
He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was a retired 
inspector and union steward at American Bridge in Elmira 
Heights.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Markle of Springwater, 
Joan Zulkosky of Tampa, Fla.; a son, Rodney W. Zulkosky of 
Hamlin; a brother, Joseph Zulkosky of Sayre, Pa.; a sister,
