Palm Bay, and formerly of Addison, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 
2002 at Homes Regional Medical Center.
He had been a senior machine design engineer for Hills Inc. of 
West Melbourne. He had also worked for North American Phillips 
in Bath, N.Y., and was a policeman in Addison, N.Y.
Survivors include his parents, Elden and Dorothy Robertson of 
Addison, N.Y.; three brothers, Randall Robertson of Cameron, 
N.Y., Richard Robertson and Rodney Robertson, both of Addison, 
N.Y.; two sisters, Rebecca Dyke of Syracuse, N.Y., and Roxanne 
Dickerson of Addison, N.Y.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Flint Funeral 
Home, 10 Wall St., Addison, N.Y.
Services will be held there at 1 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. David 
Dyke officiating. Burial will be in Addison Rural Cemetery,

Chester C.  Robinson Sr.
HORSEHEADS | Chester C. Robinson Sr., 90, of Elcor Health 
Center, formerly of Campbell, died Sunday, June 23, 2002 at 
home.
He was a retired iron worker.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Taft Robinson of Horseheads; 
one son, Chester C. Robinson Jr. of Addison; one brother, 
Clayton Robinson of Chanute, Kan.
Calling hours are 7-8 p.m. today at the Flint Funeral Home, 10 
Wall St., Addison. 
Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours 
at 8 p.m. today, the Rev. Sandra Olmstead officiating. Burial 
will be in Coopers Plains Cemetery.



Alfred B.  Robinson 
HORSEHEADS | Alfred B. Robinson, 90, of Appleridge at Bethany 
Village, formerly of Glendale Drive, died unexpectedly 
Wednesday, July 17, 2002.
He retired in 1973 from NYSEG, where he was a systems operator 
for 38 years.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Marjorie Wilcox 
Robinson.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at 
Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, the Rev. Deborah Roe officiating. 
Arrangements are by Barber Funeral Home.



Allyn E.  Robinson 
WELLSBURG | Allyn E. Robinson, 72, of Lower Maple Avenue, died 
Monday, May 27, 2002 at home.
He had worked for Fagan Engineers for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Lucille Smith 
Robinson; five sons, Greg Robinson of Reston, Va., Jay 
Robinson of Amherst, Bryon Robinson of Elmira, Mark Robinson 
and Jeff Robinson of both of Corning; two daughters, Linda 
Robinson of Martinsburg, W. Va. and Dianne M. Robinson of 
Corning; a brother, Sheldon Robinson of Wellsburg.

Edna M.  Robinson 
HORSEHEADS | Edna M. Robinson, 89, of Elcor Health Center, 
formerly of Campbell, died Thursday, July 11, 2002.
She was a homemaker.
Surivivors include two sons, Wesley Drake of Tacoma, Wash., 
and Chester C. Robinson Jr. of Addison.
Calling hours are 10-11 a.m. Monday at the Flint Funeral Home, 
10 Wall St., Addison.
Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours 
at 11 a.m. Monday.

HORSEHEADS | Jennie Robinson, 73, of 175 Oriole Drive, died 
Saturday, July 6, 2002 at home. 
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, John Robinson Jr.; 
two sons, David Walter Robinson of Horseheads and Alan Keith 
Robinson of Tuscon, Ariz.; one daughter, Donna Lynn Jackins of 
Jamison, Pa.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Van 
Buskirk-Lynch Funeral Home.
A prayer service will be held there at 9 a.m. Wednesday 
followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary 
Our Mother Church, the Rev. Christopher Linsler officiating. 
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira.



Theodore R.  Robords
HORNELL | Theodore R. Robords, 82, of Hornell Gardens, 434 
Monroe Ave., died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002 at Hornell Gardens 
after along illness.
He had been a farmer in Arkport.
Survivors include two sisters, Iris Ellis of Auburn and Phylis 
Wilkens of Worthington, Ohio; two brothers, David Robords of 
Glastonburg, Conn., and L. James Robords of Arkport.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-8 p.m. Friday at Robertson Funeral 
Home, Hornell.
Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 8 
p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Arkport Cemetery, Arkport.



Frances E.  Rodabaugh

E. Rodabaugh, 91, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002 at Elcor Health 
Services.
Survivors include three daughters, Janice Ingersoll, Phyllis 
Kehoe and Sherry Hultzman; two sons, Harry Rodabaugh and 
Dennis Rodabaugh; two brothers, Rexford Ostrander and Leon 
Ostrander.

ELMIRA | Merritt D. "Happy" Rogers, 76, of South Avenue, died 
Sunday, April 28, 2002 at St. Joseph's Hospital following a 
long illness.
He had been a self-employed carpenter and also worked at the 
Chemung Speedrome.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Marilyn Owen Rogers; 
three daughters, Marietta Beiling of Wellsburg, Bonnie Bristow 
of Pine City, and Terry Bonham of Wellsville; one sister, 
Nellie Jackson of Elmira; one brother, George Rogers of Utah.
Calling hours are 12-2 and 4-6 p.m. Thursday at Caywood's

Albert E. Rogers 
FLORIDA | Albert E. Rogers, 79, of Lehigh Acres, formerly of 
Painted Post, N.Y. and Auburn, N.Y., died Friday, Sept. 20, 
2002.
He had worked for Ingersoll-Rand in Painted Post, N.Y. as a 
mechanical engineer. 
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Anona Downey Rogers of 
Lehigh Acres; two sons, Mark A. Rogers of Auburn, N.Y. and 
Kevin D. Rogers of Corning, N.Y.; two daughters, Susan Felton 
of Kirkville, N.Y. and Michelle Leubner of Baldwinsville, N.Y.

Catherine A.  Rogers 
PENN YAN | Catherine A. Rogers, 90, of 11 Myrtle Ave., died 
Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002.
She had taught in the country school located at Kinney's 
Corners and also worked many years at George W. Haxton Bean & 
Grain in Penn Yan.
Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn VanHousen of 
Savona, Dorothy Worrell and Elsie Eighmey, both of Penn Yan; 
two sons, Andrew C. Jensen, Jr. of Fort Myers Beach, Fla. and 
Donald Jensen of Bonita Springs, Fla.
Calling hours are noon-2 p.m. Thursday at Townsend-Wood 
Funeral Chapel.

Robert R. Rohan
HORNELL | Robert R. "Bob" Rohan, 82, of 35 Pine St., Hornell, 
died Friday, April 5, 2002, at St. James Mercy Hospital.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was 
employed for many years at the former Erie, Erie-Lackawanna 
railroads, retiring as a fireman with Conrail.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Cullen Rohan; a son, 
Michael Rohan of Rochester; two daughters, Elizabeth Pelych 
and Joanne Hogan, both of Hornell.
Calling hours are from 
2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Dagon Funeral Home, 38 Church 
St., Hornell. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at 
St. Ignatius Loyola Church. Burial will be in the VA National 
Cemetery in Bath.



Ingeborg R.  Romat 
ELMIRA | Ingeborg Romana Romat, 68, of Sunset Drive, 
Horseheads died Monday, Sept. 9, 2002 at St. Joseph's 
Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Dawn Orr of Corning; a sister, 
Emma Geiff of Germany; two brothers, Hans Tutsch and Erwin 
Tutsch, both of Germany; a stepdaughter, Susan Ostrander of 
Elmira; two stepsons, Michael Romat of Austin, Texas and David 
Romat of Goshen.

Albert L. Root Jr. 
WELLSBORO, PA. | Albert Levern Root Jr., 83, of Middlebury 
Center, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002 at Soldiers & Sailors 
Memorial Hospital.
He retired from North Penn Gas Co., Wellsboro, in 1980.
Survivors include a son, Albert III Root of Middlebury Center; 
two sisters, his twin Lillian Hackett of Wellsboro and Lula 
Vandergrift of Levittown.

ELMIRA | Ella M. Root, 70, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2002 at the 
Arnot Ogden Medical Center.

Root of Pembrook, Ga.; a sister, Louise Updike of Gillett, Pa.
She worked for Corning Inc. for 20 years.

2002 at home.

She worked as a legal secretary for many years.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Manford "Manny" 
Rosenheck; one son, Scott Rosenheck of Pine City.

June 23, 2002 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility.

Road, died unexpectedly Monday, April 1, 2002 at home.
He was a student at Corning West High School.
Survivors include, his parents, Elizabeth Boyle Ross Reed and 
Leon Reed of Painted Post; a sister, Jennifer Ross of 
Lakeland, Texas; a brother, Matthew Ross of Painted Post.

PAINTED POST | Ann Marie Rossi, of 112 Grace Boulevard, died 
Monday, April 22, 2002.
She was a religious education coordinator at St. Mary's 
Parish, worked for Family Services Society in Corning and was 
a faculty member at CCC in the Human Services Division for 15 
years.
Survivors include her husband, Luigi Rossi; two sons, Vincent 
of Miami, Fla. and Paul of Corning; a daughter, Mary Kathryn 
of Wilmington, Del.; her mother, Vincenzina Ferraro of Painted 
Post; a brother, Niel Ferraro of Virginia.

Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002 at Corning Hospital.
She had worked for the Ryan Loan Co. of Corning and also was a 
homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, James W. Rotsell 
Sr. of Corning; a son, Michael Rotsell of Painted Post.

TIOGA, PA. | Benner O. "Ozzie" Roupp, 80, of Tioga, died 
Saturday Sept. 28, 2002 at home.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for 
Traytons Trucking in Horseheads, N.Y. before retiring.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Edith M. "Edie" Roupp; 
three sons, Gary Roupp of Orlando, Fla., Bernie Roupp of 
Tioga, Wayne Roupp of Mansfield; two daughters, Debra Steuve 
of Hemet, Calif., Diane Roupp of Wellsboro.

formerly of Wellsboro, Pa., died Friday, May 31, 2002 at Arnot 
Ogden Hospital.
He had been employed by the Town of Prattsburgh.
Survivors include five brothers, Raymond Rouse of Melbourne, 
Fla., James Rouse of Wellsboro, Pa., Leland Rouse, Vernon 
Rouse and Clyde E. Rouse all of Little Marsh, Pa.; four 
sisters, Patty L. Rouse of Wellsboro, Pa, Thelma Wollmann of 
Mansfield, Pa., Ruth A. Preble of Tennessee and Lorraine 
Stermer of Tioga, Pa.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Aileen H. Rugaber 
WESTFIELD, PA. | Aileen H. Rugaber, 92, of Westfield, died 
Wednesday, March 13, 2002 at Wheaton's Personal Care Home.
She and her husband, Arthur R. Rugaber, owned and operated a 
furniture business in Westfield until they retired in 1949.
Survivors include a son, Robert Rugaber of Butler; a daughter, 
Miriam R. Trowbridge of Clearmont, Fla.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. 
John's Episcopal Church, Westfield. Burial will be in 
Riverside Cemetery, Knoxville.

Marguerite A. Ruger 
WHEATRIDGE, COLO. | Marguerite Aeschbacher Ruger, of 
Wheatridge, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002.
She retired from Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital after 61 
years of service also she worked for Bath TB Sanatorium.
Survivors include a daughter, Helen Chase of Morrison; two 
brothers, Paul of Hammondsport, N.Y., and Fred of Rochester, 
N.Y.; a stepson, John of Florida.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bath 
Centenary United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Fagan's

Harold E.  Rugur 
HORNELL | Harold E. Rugur, 69, of 46 Ravine St., died Tuesday, 
May 28, 2002 at St. James Mercy Hospital.
He had worked for Conrail Railroad as a brakeman, retiring in 
1990.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Beam of Kanona and 
Karen Rugur of Hornell; a brother, James Rugur of Hornell; a 
sister, Betty Wartemberg of Buffalo.
