Rev. Marcy Punnett
SYLVANIA, OHIO | The Rev. Marcy Punnett, 84, formerly of Big 
Flats, N.Y., died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002.
He had been the pastor of the Waterloo Presbyterian Church and 
Big Flats Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Hillmon of Pittsford, 
N.Y., and Martha Jacobs of Chicago, Ill.; a son, Charles F. 
Jacobs III of Sylvania; two brothers, Dr. Thomas Punnett of 
Philadelphia, Pa., and Rochford Harmon of East Aurora, N.Y.
There will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the 
First Presbyterian Church, Big Flats, N.Y. Burial will be in 
Fairview Cemetery, Painted Post., N.Y. Arrangements are by 
Hills Funeral Home, 69 Main St., Big Flats, N.Y.



Myrtle E.  Putt 
HAMMONDSPORT | Myrtle E. Putt, 81, of Campbell, died Thursday, 
Sept. 26, 2002 at Taylor Health Care.
Survivors include a son, Allen Besley of Dunedin, Fla.
Calling hours are from 1-3 p.m. today at the Haughey Funeral 
Home, 216 E. First St., Corning.
Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours 
at 3 p.m. Monday, the Rev. Sharon Battist officiating. Burial 
will be in Chapel Knoll Cemetery, Coopers Plains.



Myrtle E.  Putt 
BATH | Myrtle E. Putt, 81, of Campbell, died Thursday, Sept. 
26, 2002 at the Taylor Health Center.
Survivors include a son, Allen Besley of Dunedin, Fla.
Arrangements are incomplete by Haughey Funeral Home, Corning. 



Marion M.  Quackenbush
ELMIRA | Marion M. Quackenbush, 85, of Lawrenceville, Pa., 
died Sunday, March 10, 2002 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. 

She was an elementary school teacher.
Survivors include one son, Robert O. Quackenbush, Jr. of 
Tooele, Utah; two brothers, Royce Mitchell of Corning and 
David Mitchell of Hudson, Fla.; three sisters, Mary Gonyo of 
Solon Springs, Wis., Frances Dreier of Brandon, Wis., and 
Verona Masini of Glenview, Ill.
Calling hours are 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Calvary United 
Methodist Church, Lawrenceville, Pa.
Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours 
at 7 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. Gary Weaver officiating. 
A graveside committal service will be held at 11 a.m. March 20 
at Arlington National Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Wilston Funeral Home, 18 N. Main St., 
Mansfield, Pa.



Norma A.  Quigley
HORNELL | Norma A. Quigley, 69, of 353 Ontario St., died 
Monday, June 10, 2002 at home after a long illness.
She had been a bookkeeper at Steuben Trust Com-pany in Hornell 
and a clerk at Elmhurst Dairy.
Suvivors include her husband, John "Jack" Quigley; two 
daughters, Mickey Roe and Denise MacNaughton, both of Hornell; 
a son, Mike Acker of Jacksonville, Fla.; one brother, Robert 
"Bob" Rosell of Hornell; a sister, Alberta Brooks of Hornell; 
2 stepsons, James Quigley and David Quigley, both of Bradford, 
Pa.; a stepdaughter, Brenda Abrahams of Bradford, Pa.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the 
Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St., Hornell. 

Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours 
at 8:30 p.m.
Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Hornell.

BEAVER DAMS | Lea Frances Race, of County Route 19, Beaver 
Dams, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2002 at her home.
Survivors include her husband, Hugh Race of Beaver Dams; a 
daughter, Lisa Luckner of Fairport; a son, Lee Race of Elmira.
Services will be at noon Saturday at the Phillips Funeral Home 
Inc. 17 W. Pulteney St. Corning.



Frank Rachel 
GALETON, PA. | Frank Rachel, 88, of Drake's Personal Care Home 
formerly of Westfield, died Friday, April 26, 2002 at home.
He had been a farmer, worked for Rab-Labs for over 20 years 
and was a former Township Supervisor.
Survivors include two great nieces, Patty Riehl of Wellsboro 
and Linda Cunningham of Knoxville; two nephews, Paul Pritchard 
of Galeton and James Pritchard of Westfield.
Calling hours are 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Kenyon Funeral Home, 222 
W. Main St., Westfield.
Services will be held there at 2 p.m. Monday, the Rev. Wieslaw 
Ziebacz officiating. Burial will be in Champlin Cemetery, 
Westfield.



Rose M.  Radoccia 
FORT COLLINS, Colo. | Rose M. Radoccia, 90, formerly of 81 
Front St., Hornell, N.Y. died Tuesday, March 12, 2002 at the 
Poudre Valley Hospital.
Survivors include a son, Dominic Radoccia of Tonawanda, N.Y.; 
a daughter, Mary Ann Argentieri of Fort Collins.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Dagon Funeral 
Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, N.Y.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. 
Ann's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.



Kryder R.  Rahn 
WELLSBORO, Pa. | Kryder Russell Rahn, 64, of Wellsboro, 
formerly of Pottstown, died Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at home.
He had owned and operated Rahn's Body Shop for 25 years 
retiring in 1987.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Darlene Rahn.
There will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the

Savannah; two sons, Joseph M. Card of Palmyra and Richard S. 
Card of Auburn; a brother, James Johnson of Corning.

died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002 at home.

Sandra Bradley of Barton, N.Y., Christine Sorge of Corning, 
N.Y., and Nancy Pierce of Painted Post, N.Y.; two sons, 
Timothy Randall of Ponder, Texas and Gary Randall of 
Tallahassee, Fla.; one sister, Lucille Wheaton of Williamson, 
N.Y.

Lyman J.  Randall 
LAWRENCEVILLE, Pa. | Lyman James Randall, 75, of 12 Riverside 
Estates, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at home following an 
extended illness.
He was a brakeman for the New York Central Railroad and a lab 
technician for Corning Inc. for more than 40 years. 
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Pauline Randall; three 
daughters, Sandra J. Bradley of Barton, Christine Sorge of 
Corning, and Nancy Pierce of Painted Post; two sons, Timothy 
Randall of Ponder, Texas, and Gary Randall of Tallahassee, 
Fla.; one sister, Lucille Wheaton of Williamson.
Calling hours are 5-7 p.m. today at the Haughey Funeral Home.
Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours 
at 7 p.m. today, Deacon Raymond Defendorf officiating. Burial 
will be in Coopers Plains Cemetery.

HORNELL | Harold E. Raner, 89, of 12 North St., Canisteo, died 
Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at St. James Hospital. 
He had been a truck driver for Cimpi Trucking of Auburn, was 
manager of the Onondaga Supply Store in Auburn, and worked for 
Singer Climate Control in Auburn. 
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Beryl Amerman Raner; 
two daughters, Brenda Goldian of Baltimore, Md., and Sue Jayne 
of Auburn.
Private services will be held at the Brown & Powers Funeral 
Home of Canisteo, the Rev. Jane Shumway officiating. Burial 
will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Almond.



Pauline H. Raniewicz 
ELMIRA HEIGHTS | Pauli-ne H. Raniewicz, 93, of College Avenue 
Elmira Heights, died Saturday March 30, 2002.
She was a retired employee of Upstate Tool and the former 
Berger-Sherin Silk Mill.
Survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours are at 10:30 a.m. today at the Kalec Funeral 
Home.
Service will be there at noon today at the St. Casimir's 
Church. The Rev. Christopher Linsler officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Peter & Paul Cemetery.



Barbara A. Reagan
HORSEHEADS | Barbara A. Reagan, 77, of Horseheads, died 
Monday, Sept. 2, 2002 at Elcor Health Services.
She was a bookkeeper at S.C. Flickinger's in Elmira Heights 
until she retired.
Survivors include a brother, Louis A. Clark of Horseheads; a 
sister, Marian Clark of Horseheads.
Calling hours are 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Van Buskirk-Lynch 
Funeral Home, Mill Street and Grand Central Avenue, 
Horseheads.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at 
St. Peter & Paul's Church, East Market Street. Burial will be 
in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.



James A. Reagan
ELYRIA, Ohio | James A. "Bob" Reagan, 77, formerly of Bennetts 
Creek Road Canisteo, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002 in Elyria.
He was a pipe fitter for the Erie and Erie Lakawanna Railroad.
Survivors include a daughter, Janeane Reagan Greenberg of 
Grafton; a son, James Gary Reagan of Penn Yan, N.Y. Calling 
hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Brown & 
Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St. Canisteo.
Services will be held there at 1 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. 
Donald Maynard officiating.
Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo.



Sarah C.  Reardon 
HORNELL | Sarah C. Reardon, 101, formerly of 169 Prospect St., 
Hornell, died Saturday Aug. 17, 2002.
She worked for the former New York Telephone Co. in Hornell 
before retiring in 1966 after 48 years.
Survivors include a son, James Reardon of North Hornell; two 
half sisters, Agnes Norton of Hornell, Ellen Hadlock of Bath; 
a half brother, Emmett Clancy of Hornell.
There will be no calling hours.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Bishop & 
Johnson Funeral Home Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell. A Mass of 
Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Ignatius Loyola 
Church, the Rev. William Cosgrove celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Hornell.

CORNING | J. Thomas "Tom" Recotta, 59, of 20 Flint Road, 
Horseheads, died Saturday, April 13, 2002 at Corning Hospital.
He was a properties manager at Corning Inc.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne C. Recotta of Horseheads; 
two sons, Robert T. Recotta of Buffalo, James P. Recotta of 
Corning; a brother, Robert E. Recotta of Avon.

the home of her daughter.
She worked for Corning Glassworks before retiring.
