formerly of Tampa, Fla., and Breesport, died Tuesday, July 30, 
2002 at home.
Survivors include three sons, Thomas Kieffer of Millport, 
Martin Kieffer of Blanca, Colo., and David Kieffer of Elmira; 
one daughter, Catherine Brown of Elmira; one sister, Lillian 
Gekoski of Elmira Heights.
Calling hours are 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Barber Funeral 
Home, 413 S. Main St., Horseheads. 
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at 
St. Mary Our Mother Church, 816 W. Broad St., Horseheads. 
Burial with military honors will be in Woodlawn National 
Cemetery.



Esther H.  Kilmer 
CATON | Esther H. Kilmer, 89, of Richards Road, Caton, died 
Sunday July 14, 2001 at her home.
She was an employee of Corning Glassworks
Survivors include two sons, John Kilmer of Lawrenceville, Pa., 
Joseph Kilmer of Painted Post; two daughters, Mary 
Kilmer-Tchalekan of Niagra On The Lake, Ontario, Canada, 
Christine Sawicki of Steuart, Fla.
Calling hours are from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 10-11 a.m. 
Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, 17 W. Pulteney St., 
Corning.
Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours 
at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Rural Home Cemetery, 
Big Flats.



Ethel M.  Kilmer 
PAINTED POST | Ethel M. Kilmer of 220 Rafferty Road, formerly 
of Pittsburgh, died Wednesday, March 13, 2002 at home 
following an extended illness.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, Gordon Kilmer, Marvin Kilmer, 
and Paul Kilmer, all of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Phyllis 
Bathe of Pittsburgh. and Janet Keegan of Painted Post; four 
brothers, Harold Rice, Milton Rice, Walter Rice, and Adrian 
Rice, all of Addison; two sisters, Violet Andrews of Wayne and 
Edith Shelanskey of Corning. 
Calling hours are 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Flint Funeral 
Home, 10 Wall St., Addison.
Services will be held there at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. 
Sandra Olmstead officiating. Burial will be in Findleyville 
Cemetery, Findleyville, Pa.



Robert E.  Kimball 
HORNELL | Robert E. "Bob" Kimball, 82, of 29 William St., died 
Friday, July 19, 2002 at St. James Mercy Hospital after a long 
illness.
He was employed by the former Erie and Erie-Lackawanna 
Railroads, retiring from Conrail as a yard conductor in 1982.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Kimball of Canisteo, 
David Kimball and Steve Kimball, both of Hornell; a daughter, 
Susan Jimerson of Hornell; a brother, William Kimball of 
Floral Park, Fla.
Calling hours are 1-3 p.m. Monday at the Bishop & Johnson 
Funeral Home Inc., 285 Main St., Hornell.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the 
family.
Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Hornell.



Alice M.  Kinch
PAINTED POST | Alice M. Kinch, 91, formerly of Dayspring I, 
died Monday, August 26, 2002 at the Waters of Three Rivers 
Health Care Center.
Survivors include her nieces, Marian Cohen of Monroe Township, 
N.J., and Florence Toby of Wilmington, N.C.
Arrangements are incomplete with Haughey Funeral Home, 216 E. 
First St., Corning.



Alice M.  Kinch 
PAINTED POST | Alice M. Kinch, 91, formerly of Dayspring I, 
died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002 at Waters of Three Rivers Health 
Care Center.
She had retired from the NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation.
Survivors include two nieces, Marian Cohen of Monroe Township, 
N.Y. and Florence Toby of Wilmington, N.C.
There will be no calling hours.
A memorial mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. today at St. Mary's 
Church, Corning. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at a 
later date. Arrangements are by Haughey Funeral Home, Corning.



Agnes E.  King
LEBANON, MAINE | Agnes E. King, 99, died Saturday, July 27, 
2002.
Survivors include a daughter, Eldora Upton of Vero Beach, Fla.
Calling hours are noon-2 p.m. Thursday at Kenyon Funeral Home, 
222 W. Main St., Westfield, Pa.
Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours 
at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Jemison, Westfield, Pa.



James C.  King
HORNBY | James C. King, formerly of Hornby, died Thursday, 
Feb. 28, 2002 at Corning Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Victoria of Corning, whom he 
married on February 23, 2002. He is also survived by a son, 
Kenneth (Anna) of Savona, a step-son, Joshua Corwin of Painted 
Post; his mother, Martha King of Hornby; his father, Arthur 
King (Paula) of Jamestown, RI; brothers, Michael (Susan) of 
Montgomery, AL; Jonathan and David of Jamestown, RI; sisters, 
Kathryn King-Vimislik (Michael) of Yokosuka, Japan and Paula 
Ferguson and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was cremated and there will be a Memorial Service from 5-7 
PM on Friday, March 8, 2002 at the Hornby Fire Hall.
The family will provide flowers.

SAYRE, PA. | Justin E. King, 16, of RR2 Middlebury Center died 
Thursday, April 18, 2002 at Robert Packer Hospital.
He was a student at Wellsboro High School.
Survivors include his mother, Victoria F. King of Denver, 
Colo.; his father, Charles E. King of Puyallup, Wash.

Church in Wellsboro.

CORNING | James C. King, 41, of Monterey Road, Hornby, died 
Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002 at Corning Hospital.
He had been a laborer at Storeflex Fixture Corp.
Survivors include his mother, Martha W. King of Hornby; his 
wife, Victoria A. King of Corning; a son, Kenneth J. King.
There will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements 
are by Acly-Stover Funeral Home.

ELMIRA | Evelyn Emerson Kinney, 89, of Gaines Street, formerly 
of Smithboro, died Tuesday, July 30, 2002.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Harsh of Elmira; and 
two sons, George Kinney of Barton and John Steve Kinney of 
Corning.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Smithboro United 
Methodist Church, Church Street, the Rev. Howard L. Hunt 
officiating.

of Smithboro, died Tuesday, July 30, 2002.

Corning; a sister, Margaret Nowlan, a brother, Victor Emerson.

Tuesday, June 24, 2002 at Soldiers & Sailors Hospital.
She retired from Westinghouse, Bath, N.Y.
Survivors include a son, Warren Kinney of Lawrenceville; a 
brother, Bruce Brant of Lawrenceville.
Calling hours are 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Wilston Funeral 
Home, 18 N. Main St., Mansfield, and noon-1 p.m. Friday at the 
Calvary United Methodist Church, Lawrenceville.

will be in Lawrenceville Cemetery.



Ronald G.  Kittell 
HORNELL | Ronald G. "Ronnie" Kittell, 87, of 6 Olive Place 
died Friday, Aug. 9, 2002 at St. James Mercy Hospital.
He had been a brakeman for the former Erie Railroad.
Survivors include his sister, Phyllis Light of Avon; two 
brothers, Harold Kittell of Hornell and Thomas Kittell of 
Canisteo.
Calling hours are noon-2 p.m. Monday at the Dagon Funeral 
Home, 38 Church St., Hornell.

Martin  Klein Jr.
CORNING | Martin "Marty" Klein Jr., 83, of Painted Post, died 
Friday, April 19, 2002 at Corning Hospital.
He retired from Corning Inc. in 1984 as a senior geologist.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie Klein of Painted Post.

William J. Klos Jr. 
ROLLA, Mo. | William J. "Bill" Klos Jr., 60, of Rolla, died 
Monday, July 29, 2002 at home.
He had worked for the Fisher Lumber & Trucking Company.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Betty Head Klos; his 
parents, William & Irene Klos; two sons, William Klos III of 
Cincinnati, Ohio, and Michael Klos of Dallas, Tex.; a stepson, 
Richard Beal of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Betty Jo 
Alpaugh of Argyle, Mo.; a brother, Robert Klos of St. Charles, 
Md.; a sister, Pat Lathers of Hornell, N.Y.
A memorial service will held at a later date at the Dagon 
Funeral Home, 38 Church St., Hornell, N.Y.



Kathryn M.  Knapp 
HORNELL | Kathryn M. Knapp, no age given, of 1190 Webbs 
Crossing Road, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at St. James Mercy 
Hospital.
She was supervisor of the pediatric department at St. James 
Mercy Hospital.
Survivors include two sisters, Althea Kelley of Hornell and 
Anna Smith of Ontario.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at

Rosella  Knapp 
WELLSBORO, PA. | Rosella Hodder Knapp, 86, of RD 3, died 
Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002 at home.
She had worked for the former Corning Glass Works in 
Wellsboro.
Survivors include four son, Arnold E. Knapp Sr., Gerald H. 
Knapp, John III Knapp and Daniel P. Knapp all of Wellsboro; 
three daughters, Joyce A. Brooks of Wellsboro, Sharon K. 
Sherman of Hershey and Connie D. Boyce of Florida.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Jacquelyn A. 
Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, P.C., 
Mansfield with Glenda Hammond officiating. Burial will be in 
Welsh Settlement Cemetery, Tioga, Pa.



Eleanor S. Knouse
BRIDGEWATER, N.J. | Eleanor S. Knouse, 82, of 14 Jeffrey Lane, 
formerly of Dunedin, Fla., and Corning, N.Y. died Saturday, 
June 29, 2002 at Woods Edge Harborside Health Care Center.
She had been a teacher's aide, secretary and administrative 
assistant.
Survivors include a daughter, Marguerite "Peggy" Knouse of 
Somerset; a son, Jeffrey Knouse of Bridgewater.

formerly of Corning, N.Y., and Buffalo, N.Y., died Friday, 
Feb. 15, 2002 at Manatee Memorial Hospital.
She had been co-owner of the S.R.L. Corp. in Corning.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Ann Bonay of Hamburg, 
N.Y.; one son, John K. Knowlton of Bloomsburg, Pa.

TROY, PA. | Marian Kobbe, 63, formerly of Horseheads, N.Y., 
died Friday, April 12, 2002 at the Chemung County Nursing 
Facility.
She was a licensed practical nurse.

William Vosburgh of Pine City, N.Y., Gary Vosburgh of East 
Smithfield, Brian Vosburgh, Kevin Vosburgh and David Vosburgh,

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Beverly Bachman 
Koenigsmark; two sons, Stephen Koenigsmark of Minneapolis, 
Minn. and Jeff Koenigsmark of Enfield, Conn.; one daughter, 
Cindy Koenigsmark Hayden of Elmira.
Private burial services with military honors will be held at 
Woodlawn National Cemetery.

Claude R.  Kohl 
CORNING | Claude R. Kohl, 69, of Painted Post, died Thursday, 
July 4, 2002 at Corning Hospital.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from his position 
of HVAC Engineer for the state of New York in 1988.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Lilya "Lil"; three 
daughters, Donna Woodcock of Addison, Diana Burgess of Cameron 
Mills, Deborah Longbucco of Burdett; a god-daughter, Lou Ann 
Labbee of Wayland.
