She had worked at Corning Hospital and also worked as a 
private duty nurse.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, 
17 W. Pulteney St., Corning.
Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours 
at 3 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, 
Painted Post.

PAINTED POST | Ruby May Hill, 80, of West High Street, died 
Friday, Feb. 8, 2002 at home.
She had been employed by Corning Glass Works as an inspector 
and worked for A&P Foods in Horseheads.
Survivors include four sons, Winston Hill of Atlanta, Ga., 
Wilson Hill of Attica, Ohio, Ronald Hill of Painted Post and 
Eric Hill of Plymouth, Ohio; one sister, Evelyn Steves; four 
brothers, Leon Willow, Max Willow, Willis Willow, and Charles 
Willow.

Delores B. Colunio and Bernie R. Salamendra, both of Dundee, 
Jeanette R. Margreno and Norma Davis, both of Watkins Glen; 
two sisters, Bess Daniels of Pine City and Lillian Personius 
of Watkins Glen.

and Joy Weber of Bath; three sons, Joseph Hojnoski of Bath,

sisters, Dorothy Stone of Hammondsport and Doris Atkinson of 
Monroe.

Saturday, May 18, 2002 at home.
He was a mechanic at McKinley Sales and Lease in Bath for more 
than 17 years and later was a bus driver for the Addison 
school district.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Morseman, a daughter, 
Virginia Wilber of Addison, four sons, Ernest Horton Jr., 
William Horton and Johnny, all of Corning, and Earl Horton of 
Painted Post; five brothers, Jesse Horton of Addison, Lawrence 
Horton of Cameron Mills, Elmer Horton of Corning, and Charles 
and Richard Horton, both of Addison; six sisters, Mabel 
Budinger of Belmont, Josephine Tyler of Corning, Vera 
Morseman, Sarah Manning, Shirley Hollister and Sharon Dailey, 
all off Addison.

WESTFIELD, PA. | Bernard (Barney) Houghtaling, 74, of 
Westfield, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002 at home.
He had worked for the former Eberle Tannery in Westfield for 
many years.

mother, Ruby Glover Houghtaling of Galeton; four brothers, 
Dick Herbert Houghtaling and Durell Houghtaling, both of

dairy farm, second hand shop, restaurant and worked as a 
carpenter.

following a long illness.
She had been employed in the medical records departments of 
St. James Hospital, Ira Davenport Hospital and the Steuben 
County Health Care Facility.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Lawrence Kame; two

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary Lesh; one 
daughter, Nancy Lesh Cilip of Corning; one son, Leo Michael 
Lesh of Montrose, Calif.; one sister, Mildred Dart of Corning.
There will be no calling hours. 
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday 
at St. Mary’s Church. 
Arrangements are with Haughey Funeral Home, 216 E. First St.

ELMIRA | Betty A. Lewis, 35, of Pine View Drive, died Tuesday, 
May 21, 2002.
Survivors include her mother, Nora Louise Lewis of Elmira; two 
sisters, Nancy Privetts and Shirley Bailey, both of 
Horseheads; two brothers, Carl Lewis Sr. of Horseheads and 
Donald Lewis of Elmira Heights.
Calling hours are 2-4 p.m. and 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the 
Barber Funeral Home, Horseheads. 
Services will be held there at the conclusion of calling hours 
at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, the Rev. Larry Appenzellar officiating. 
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Friday, May 10, 2002 in Daytona Beach.
Survivors include five sons, Ronald Liddick, Robert Liddick, 
Michael Liddick, William Liddick, Randolph Liddick; a 
daughter, Jean Liddick; a sister, Jean Matthews of Sterling, 
Va.; a brother, James Nixon.

Services will be held there at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Ann

unexpectedly Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at St. James Hospital.

Daniels of Hornell and Robin Webster of Livonia; three 
brothers, Donald Peck of Brockport, Richard Peck of Wellsville 
and John Keagle of Syracuse.
