Delmer W. Rhines, 80
Fulton: Delmer W. Rhines, 80, of 568 West First Street, South, Fulton, died Friday at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton.
A native of Syracuse, Mr. Rhines had resided in Fulton most of his life. He retired from Laborer's Local #214, Oswego. He had worked for several local construction companies.
Mr. Rhines was a member of VFW Post 569 in Fulton where he received several awards including the Veteran of the Year Award in 1979. He was a founding member of the Veteran's Council of Fulton and served as president four years. He was a former member of BPOE Lodge #830, Fulton.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving with the SeaBees in the European and Pacific Theatres of Operations. He was awarded two Purple Heart Medals for wounds he received in combat.
He was predeceased by his wife, Norma G. Rhines, who died in 1995.
Survived by: Two sons, Delmar "Curt" Rhines and Neil "Bill" Rhines, both of Fulton; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Calling Hours: 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm Monday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton.
Funeral Services: 11 am Tuesday at Foster Funeral Home. 
Burial: In Mount Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.

Jeffrey E. Fowler, Jr., 19
Hannibal: Jeffrey E. Fowler, Jr., 19, of State Route 104, Hannibal, died Monday as a result of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident in the town of Sterling
Mr. Fowler was a native and life resident of Hannibal. He was a 1998 graduate of Hannibal Central High School in Hannibal. He worked since May as a machine operator at Sealright Company in Fulton. Previously, he worked for Doyle Security at Syracuse University as a security guard since February. He worked at Griffin Environmental in Baldwinsville as a metal fabricator. During high school he worked at Babcock Oil Company in Fulton as a gas attendant. 
Survived by: His parents, Jeffrey E. Fowler and the former Cynthia J. Malone of Hannibal; a brother, Brandon M. Fowler of Hannibal; his maternal grandmother, Joyce B. (Tyler) Malone of Hannibal; his maternal grandfather, Eugene R. Malone of Martville; his paternal grandmother, Barbara (Axtell) Fowler of Oswego; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Calling Hours: 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 PM Wednesday at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal.
Funeral Services: 10 am at Foster Funeral Home, Hannibal. Rev. Mark D. Kimpland will officiate.

Michael Carl Mack Meisenzahl, 17
Fulton: Michael Carl (Monkey) Mack Meisenzahl, 17, of Old State Road, Sterling, died Monday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in the town of Sterling.
A native of Oswego, Mr. Meisenzahl had resided in Hannibal and Martville most of his life. He just completed his sophomore year at Hannibal Central High School in Hannibal. He was on the wrestling team for the past two seasons.
Survived by: his mother, Carla L. Mack Meisenzahl of Sterling; his father, William H. Meisenzahl of Martville; a sister, Amber Lee Hicks of Martville; a brother, Thomas William Hicks of Oswego; his maternal grandparents, Carl and Alice Mack of Hannibal; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Genevieve Meisenzahl of Fair Haven; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling Hours: 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, Thursday, at the Foster Funeral Home at 837 Cayuga Street, Hannibal. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, at Foster Funeral Home. The Reverend Moritz Fuchs will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to charity.
Burial: at Hannibal Village Cemetery, Hannibal.

Lawrence A. McGinley, 18
Fulton: Lawrence A. McGinley, 18 of County Route 8, Fulton, NY, died Monday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in the town of Sterling. 
Mr. McGinley was a life resident of the Fulton-Hannibal area. He attended Hannibal Central High School until 1997. He was employed with Scott Braemer Auto Sales in Hannibal for the past year.
Survived by: his mother, Laurel A. Lange of Fulton; his father, Thomas F. McGinley of Fulton; a brother, Thomas B. McGinley of Memphis; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Lange of Fulton; his paternal grandmother, Shirley McGinley of Hannibal; his paternal great grandmother, Faith Deyo of Fulton; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling Hours: are 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM, Thursday, at the Foster Funeral Home at 910 Fay Street, Fulton. Funeral services will be held 10 AM on Friday at Foster Funeral Home. The Reverend Mark D. Kimpland will officiate.
Burial: Jacksonville Cemetery, Lysander.

Donald R. Keeney, 46
Fulton: Donald R. Keeney of 137 Hanley Road, Fulton, NY died on July 4, 1999 at the Oswego Hospital.
A graduate of Cornell University, he was employed as a Code Enforcement Officer for the City of Fulton. Additionally, he served in the elected position of Granby Town Supervisor and was formerly a legislator for the Town of Granby.
Mr. Keeney was a member of the Oswego County Environmental Management Council and was an Alumni Ambassador for Cornell University. He was a member of the Oswego County Planning Board.
Survived by: his wife Mary Ellen [Rushman] Keeney; two sons, Donald J. Keeney and John Keeney both at home; three sisters, Margaret Mulford of Phelps, NY, Rosemary Keeney of Fairhaven, NY, and Mary Miller of Syracuse, NY; his parents Donald E. and Murial [Balcom] Keeney of Fairhaven, NY.
Calling Hours: are Wednesday, 4 - 8 PM at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street, Oswego, NY. Services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Church in Fulton, NY. Contributions may be made to the Oswego Hospital at 110 West Sixth Street or Friends of Oswego County Hospice.
Burial: will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Lawrence N. Dodge, 74
Fulton: Lawrence N. Dodge, 74, of Benson Avenue, Minetto, died Monday at home following a long illness.
A native of Volney, he has resided in Minetto most of his life. Mr. Dodge was the U.S. Postmaster at the Minetto post office for over 20 years, retiring in 1984. Previously, he and his wife owned and operated Dodge's Superette Store in Minetto from 1952 to 1970. He also worked at Armstrong World Industries, Fulton, in the accounting department from 1945 to 1952.
He was a member of the Minetto United Methodist Church as its financial secretary since 1984. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Minetto and the VFW Post in Scriba.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, achieving the rank of First Sergeant of the 299th Combat Engineers.
Survived by: his wife of 48 years, Arlene E. Dodge, of Minetto; two daughters, Jacqueline A. Dodge of Oswego, Deborah M. Familo of Minetto; two sons, Lawrence E. Dodge of Greece, Douglas R. Dodge of Oswego; four sisters, Betty Morgan of Volney, Donna Cobb of Volney, Virginia Lund of Volney, Carol Paura of Oswego; a brother Kenneth Dodge of South Colton; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours: Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM, Thursday, at Minetto United Methodist Church in Minetto. Reverend Richard H. Sivers will officiate. Calling hours will be held 10 - 11:30 AM, Thursday, at the church, 2443 County Rouote 8, Minetto. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, has charge of the arrangements. Fulton: Melvina F. St. Andrews, a resident of Peck Road extension, VanBuren, and formerly of Fulton, died Sunday, July 4, 1999, at St. Joseph's Medical Center, Syracuse, NY.
Born in Hannibal on May 23, 1916, she was a daughter of Frederick and Melvina (Beeman) Roberts.
Survived by: her husband, Ralph St. Andrews of Van Buren; two sons, Eugene St. Andrews of Richlands, North Carolina and Donald Roberts of Lanham, Maryland; one daughter Nancy Burgess of Van Buren; two sisters, Bessie Boshart and Lottie Jewell both of Syracuse, NY; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Calling Hours: Wednesday, 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Young & Son Funeral Home, 322 Oneida Street, Fulton, NY. Funeral service is at 11:00 am Thursday at the funeral home. Reverend Mark Kimpland, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Fulton, will officiate.

Beatrice R. Walrath, 95
Fulton: Beatrice R. Walrath, 95, of Towpath Towers, 100 Rochester Street, Fulton, died Tuesday, June 29th, at the Andrew Michaud Nursing Home in Fulton, New York.
A native of England, Mrs. Walrath was a life resident of Fulton. She had worked as a bookkeeper for McHenry Milhouse Company in Fulton during the 1920's.
Mrs. Walrath was a member of the Salvation Army Auxiliary, the A. L. Lee Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Fulton Home Economics (Home Bureau).
She was predeceased by her husband, Marsh H. Walrath, who died in 1987.
Survived by: a brother, C. Homer Richards of Fairport; several neices and nephews.
Calling Hours: There will be no calling hours.
Burial: Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, July 8th, at the Fairdale Rural Cemetery, Hannibal, New York. In lieu of flowers, contributins may be made to chairty. Foster Funeral Home, Fulton, has charge of arrangements.

Alberta Manwaring O'Connor, 80
Fulton: Alberta Manwaring O'Connor, 80, of 3112 County Route 45, Fulton, New York, died Friday, July 2, 1999 at A. L. Lee Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Oswego, New York and has been a resident of Oswego County are most of her life.
Mrs. O'Connor was past employed with a family owned business, Oswego Printing, and also with ACS Extension Services. She was a member of the Scriba Fireman's Auxiliary, the Women of the Rotary and she was an avid reader and supported the Literacy Volunteers of Oswego County.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Earl "Stub" Manwaring.
Survived by: She is survived by her husband of 57 years, James O'Connor of Fulton, and her seven children: Marilyn O. Pirkle of Clinton, NY; Patricia O. Marston of Morristown, New Jersey; Janice E. O'Connor Limpo of Snohomish, Washington; Gary J. O'Connor of Queensbury, New York; Larry T. O'Connor of Queensbury, New York, Larry T. O'Connor of Sandy, Oregon; Susan E. O. Boecke of Weston, Massachussetts; Nancy M. O'Connor of Edina, Minnesota; and 17 grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by one sister, Anita M. Payne in 1986 and two brothers, Ellsworth "Zack" Manwaring in 1969 and Charles C. Manwaring in 1988.
Calling Hours: were Monday, July 5, at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 West Second Street, Fulton, New York, Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, at 8:30 am from the Sugar Funeral Home and 9:30 am at Immaculate Conception Church. 
Burial: Burial will be in the Peck Cemetery, Scriba, New York. Alberta appreciated and benefited from the work of the american Heart Association, Upstate New York Region, 5575 Thompson Road, Dewitt, New York, and she also enjoyed and supported the Literacy Volunteers of Oswego County, 35 East Fourth Street, Oswsego, New York 13126. Any contribution made in her name would be appreciated by her family.

Clarence D. Deacons, 79
Fulton: Clarence D. Deacons, 79, of Union Grove, Wisconsin, died Sunday at home, following a brief illness.
A native of Fulton, Mr. Deacon had resided in Union Grove, Wisconsin since June, prior to that he resided from 1982-1999 in Downsville, Louisiana, in Fulton for 41 years, and in Oswego for a year. Mr. Deacons retired in 1982 from General Electric Company in Syracuse after 31 years as a stock handler.
Mr. Deacons was a Navy veteran of WW II, and a member of the Sea Bees. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's.
He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Robin M. Deacons in 1993.
Survived by: his wife of 59 years, the former Carmela M. Miano, of Union Grove, Wisconsin; a son, Clarence F. Deacons, of Union Grove, Wisconsin; three sisters, Luella Donaldson, Sophronia Shoults, both of Oswego, Evelyn Secor of Fulton; a brother, Wilford Deacons of Fulton; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Fulton: Sidney George, 97 died July 11, 1999, at the Sunrise Nursing Home in Oswego. He resided on Emery Street in Fulton, New York.
Mr. George was retired from the Nestle Chocolate & Confections Company in Fulton, New York.
He was predeceased by his wife Inez George in 1973.
Survived by: a son, Alvin George of Syracuse, New York.

Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery in Fulton, NY.

Fulton: Bertha Avery Belleville, 74, a former resident of West Second Street, died Sunday at Andrew Michaud Nursing Home in Fulton. 
Mrs. Belleville was born in Hamburg, NY and lived in the Fulton area most of her life. In former years, she had been employed at the Fulton Motor Lodge and A. L. Lee Memorial Hospital. She was a loving grandmother.
Survived by: three daughters: Barbara Graham, Liverpool, NY; Sandra Rainville, Fulton, NY; Jody Sedner, Bellevie, NY; two sons: Robert Draken, Buffalo, NY; Gordon Avery, Jr., Oswego, NY; three sisters Margaret Catalone, Oswego, NY; Alice Grimm, Buffalo, NY; Elsie Brown, Oswego, NY; one brother: Edward Cole, Alabama and nine Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren.
Calling Hours: will be from Noon to 2:00 PM at the Young & Son Funeral Home, 322 Oneida Street, Fulton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial: will be in Mt. Adnah Cemetery.

Fulton: Earl W. French, 67, of WEst SEcond STreet, Fulton, died Saturday at A. L. Lee Memorial Hospital.
A native of Albion, Mr. French lived most of his life in Fulton. He worked for several area construction companies and most recently for Touchless CAr Wash in Fulton.
Mr. French was a lifetime member of VFW Post 569 in Fulton. He was an Army veteran of the Korean conflict.
Survived by: his wife of 46 years, the former Joan M. Dishaw of Fulton; a son, Michael G. French of Oswego; two daughters, Susan M. Richardson and Sandra L. Farrands, both of Fulton; a brother, Lester French of Fulton; 14 grandchildren.
Calling Hours: None. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Foster Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. 
Burial: Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.

Leland Hennessey, 67
Fulton: Leland Hennessey, 67, of Oswego Street, Hannibal, died Sunday at his home.
A native of Fulton, he had resided in Hannibal since 1996. Previously he resided in Baldwinsville and for eight years he resided in Zephyrhills, Florida, in the winter. Mr. Hennessey retired in 1985 after 30 years as a Steamfitter for Crucible Steel in Syracuse.
He was a member of the American Legion Post in Baldwinsville and the UAW Local #1277 United Steelworkers of America in Syracuse. He was an avid outdoorsman.
He was a US Army veteran.
Survived by: his wife, Susan Hennessey of Hannibal; a daughter, Cynthia M. Cuda of Lafayette; three sons, Arthur L. Hennessey, Larry E. Hennessey, James S. Hennessey, all of Baldwinsville; his ex-wife and long-time friend, Jane C. Hennessey of Baldwinsville; two step-daughters, Lisa D. Elmer of Pennellville, Crystal S. Buck of Bridgeport; a step-son, Rocco L. Elmer of Rocky Mountain, North Carolina; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren.

Fulton: Irene S. Gibson, 82, of Silk Road, Fulton, died Monday at Andrew Michaud Nursing Home, Fulton.
A native o Mexico, Mrs. Gibson had resided in Fulton most of her life. She was a communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Fulton.
She was predeceased by her husband, Casper Gibson, who died in 1991 and by two sons, Allen Gibson who died in 1984 and Steven Gibson who died in 1993. 
Survived by: five daughters, Judith Wilkins of Hilton Head, South Carolina, Dian Alder of Mexico, Carolyn Kottwitz of Port Matilda, Pennsylvania, Jacalyn Godkin and Teri Chesbro, both of Fulton; two sons, Tod Gibson of Fulton and Randy Gibson of Elbridge; two sisters, Alice Wade of Central Square and Florence Hotchkiss of Mexico; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours: 4:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay Street, Fulton. 
Funeral Services: 11:00 am Thursday at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church, Mexico, Rev. Stephen Wirkes officiating.
