HANNIBAL -- Betty E. Beckwith, 95, formerly of Meadowbrook Manor Adult Home, Hannibal, died Dec. 11, 2002 at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital in Fulton. She was the widow of Millard S. Beckwith, who died in 1995. Surviving are two sons, Millard Beckwith Jr. of Tarpon Springs, Fla., and George Beckwith of Fulton; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. PORT SALERNO, Fla. -- Grace P. McEwen, 81, of Port Salerno, Fla., died Dec. 10, 2002. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest F., in 1989. FULTON --Richard J. Bennett Sr., 80, a resident of Cayuga Street, died Dec. 10, 2002 at Oswego Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife, Bernadette E. Bennett on May 10, 1985. HANNIBAL -- Michael A. Harris, 50, of 416 Fulton St., Hannibal, died Dec. 11, 2002 of cancer at his home. He was predeceased by his father, Ward E. Harris, in 2000, and a granddaughter, Samantha C. Brett, in 1994. Surviving are his wife of 24 years, the former Carol M. Parsnow of Hannibal; three stepdaughters, Judy and Renee Dulin, Debbie Brett, all of Hannibal; a son, Alan Harris of Oswego; a stepson, Raymond Dulin of Hannibal; his mother, Evelyn Harris of Hannibal; two sisters, Nancy Perry and Judy Zukovsky, both of Hannibal; a brother, Jerry Harris of Alaska; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Vincent J. 'Jim' Zaia

FULTON -- Vincent "Jim" James Zaia, 87, a resident of 205 Pine St., Fulton, died Dec. 13, 2002, at Seneca Hill Manor after a long illness. He was predeceased by his first wife, Angela (Cessario) Zaia, in 1945; his second wife, Grace Zaia, in 1997; and by a daughter, Mary Ann Zaia, in 1963.

Surviving are two sons, Joseph Zaia of Rochester and Thomas Zaia of Phoenix; two daughters, Theresa Carrio of West Virginia and Kathrine Sorbello of Florida; two stepdaughters, Katherine Greco and Elaine Santoianni of Boston; 17 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. HAVELOCK, N.C. -- Frederick Ronald Jerrett, 71, of Havelock, N.C., died Dec. 13, 2002, at his home. FULTON -- Donald Carlton Townsley, 90, formerly of 403 Meadowbrook Circle, Fulton, died Dec. 14, 2002, after a long illness. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Evelyn Jean Townsley. FULTON -- Helen L. Shedrick, 71, a resident of Prall Road, Fulton, died Dec. 14, 2002 at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, William T. Shedrick, on June 13, 1996. Surviving are two daughters, Katherine A. Clemens of Sterling and Patricia Stoutenger of Fulton; three sons, Edward W. Shedrick of Toms River and William T. and Melvin L. OSWEGO -- John J. "Jack" Connolly Sr., 59, a resident of 79 Mercer St., Oswego, died Dec. 16, 2002 at Oswego Hospital. Surviving are two sons, John Jr. of Oswego and Thomas of Hannibal; two daughters, Christa Connolly and Tammy St. Onge, both of Hannibal; his fiancˇ, Debora Searor of Oswego; two sisters, Helen France and Catherine Dunsmoor, both of Oswego; a brother, Thomas (Emma) Connolly, of Oswego; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
