ROCHESTER -- Doris R. (Clohosey) Russ, 82, a two years resident of Rochester, and a former resident of county Rout 64, Mexico, died July 23, 2002, at the Friendly Home of Rochester. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold, in 1990, and a son, Melvin, in 1991. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Hofer of Mexico and Elaine Ruckdeschel of Rochester; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.

OSWEGO -- Robert H. "Honker" Bradshaw, 77, a resident of 67 E. Utica St., Oswego, died July 24, 2002, at Oswego Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife, Mayme (Alesci) Bradshaw, and a daughter, Antionette Bradshaw. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Jane (Bruce) Wells of Oswego; three sons, Robert A. (Vicky) Bradshaw of Freehold, N.J., James G. and Blake T. (Emily) Bradshaw, both of Oswego; three brothers, Thomas Bradshaw of Arkansas, James Bradshaw of Oswego and Richard Bradshaw of Syracuse; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. OSWEGO -- Mary A. Smegelsky, 76, resident of 131 W. First St., Oswego, and a former resident of 360 W. Fifth St., died July 27, 2002, at Oswego Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, John "Jack" Smegelsky Sr., in 1990. Surviving are two daughters, Helen "Sue" (Glen) Tweedie and Johanna "Hanna" Smegelsky, both of Oswego; two sons, John "Jack" (Kathy) Smegelsky Jr. and Joseph (Annette) Smegelsky, both of Oswego; a sister, Betty D'Ambra of Liverpool; a brother, William McCarthy of Florida; eight grandchildren; three grandchildren; and a close family friend, Colleen Dewine.

Surviving are two daughters, Suzanne M. Willson of Phoenix and Nancy E. Carpenter of Syracuse; two sons, Ronald S. and Gary D., both of Fresno, Calif.; two sisters, Kay Kinne of Phoenix and Donna Gabula of Binghamton; two brothers, Homer F. Bowman and Robert C. Bowman, both of Phoenix; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
AUBURN -- Rev. Orval P. McBride, 81, of 126 Brown St., Elbridge, died Thursday, July 25, 2002, in Auburn Memorial Hospital after becoming ill at home. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, the former Lillian Mears; two daughters, Karen A. Cook of Massena and Cheryl McBride-Magee of Rochester; two sisters, Pearl Austin of Washington, Ill., and Dorothy Graff of Ava, Ill.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Hazel, at home; a daughter, Diann Jamieson of Youngsville; two sons, Bryan (Frances) Danzer of Warner Robins, Ga., and Craig (Cherie) Danzer of Oswego; a brother, Robert Danzer of Lewisburg, N.C.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and five nephews.

Surviving are his wife of 70 years, the former Grace Hull of Florida; a daughter, Mary Lou Zeigler of Minetto; four sons, Gordon Sherman of Florida, Gene and Richard Sherman, both of Fulton, and Miller Sherman of Oswego; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, the former Mary Jane Little; two daughters, Sandra (Frank) Kielb of Oswego, and Kim (Jason) Jackson of Cicero; a son, James (Jennifer) Symborski of Oswego; three sisters, Scherie Clark, Leah Wilson and Maria Gabriel, all of Oswego; a brother, Frank Symborski of Oswego; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Jackson, and Hannah and Spencer Kielb; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Jr., in 1988; and a daughter, Joan Wallace, in 1993.
