OSWEGO - David W. Furlong, 91, of 1 Shatrau Drive, Oswego, died Dec. 30, 2000, at Oswego Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife, Darcy Furlong, in October; and his sister, Kathren Furlong, in 1983. Surviving are two sons, Sheldon D. Furlong Sr. of Oswego and Forrest W. Furlong of Oneida; his granddaughter, Heather R. Furlong of Cincinnati, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and cousins in England, Wales and Scotland. SUN CITY CENTER, Fla. - John E. Cleary, 60, of Sun City Center, Fla., died Dec. 27, 2000, at his home after a long illness. Surviving are his wife, the former Judith VanVoast of Sun City Center, Fla.; a son, James R. Cleary of Durham, N.C.; two daughters, Christine M. Haessig of Oswego and Barbara Klingbeil of Saratoga Springs; two brothers, William H. Cleary of Cincinnati, Ohio, and James T. Cleary of Johnstown; two sisters, Margaret C. Callender of Clifton Park and Lois C. LaMonte of Manlius; six grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. HANNIBAL - Ruth P. Richardson, 88, formerly of 1872 state Route 3, Sterling, died Jan. 3, 2001, at Seneca Hill Manor, Volney. She was predeceased by her husband, Gilford Richardson Sr., in 1968; a son, Nathan Richardson, in 1997; and a daughter, Judith Arseneau who died in 1998. Surviving are three daughters, Margaret Masters of VanBuren, Kathy Prat of Bloomsburg, Pa., and Barbara Hampton of Moravia; three sons, Gilford Richardson of Mattydale, Charles Richardson of Baldwinsville and Joel Richardson of Sterling; two sisters, Marian Van Patten of Cartersville, Ga., and Dorothy Fresch of Hannibal; 22 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. PLYMOUTH, Minn. - Carolyn (Schenck) Piccolino, 50, of Plymouth, Minn., died Dec. 26, 2000, at her home following a long illness. FULTON - Cheryl A. (Curtis) Wettering, 52, of Lakeshore Road, Fulton, died Dec. 31, 2000, at Oswego Hospital. Surviving are her husband, Daniel Wettering of Fulton; a son, Michael Curtis of Fulton; a stepson, Damion VanBuren of Fulton; a daughter, Denise Brown of Oswego; a stepdaughter, Deanna Wettering of Fulton; two brothers, Stanley Curtis of Oswego and Richard Curtis of Florence, S.C.; two sisters, Linda Seabury of Baldwinsville and Deborah Greeney of Fulton; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. COLTON - Margaret Decker, 80, of Route 1, Colton, died Dec. 29, 2000, at University Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, B. Douglas Decker, in 1946. Surviving are two sons, Daniel P. Dof Monroe and the Rev. David M. of Fulton; a sister, Dorothy Stevens of Hamden, Conn.; three grandchildren.

ALTMAR - Linton H. Peck, 84, of 43 Kasoag Lake Drive, Altmar, died Dec. 29, 2000. Surviving are his wife, Rose E. Peck; two daughters, Bonny L. Ranke of Taberg and Pamela J. Hoyt of Altmar; three sons, Bobby L. of Altamonte Springs, Fla., Timothy C. of Richland and Christopher K. of Boylston; 12 grandchildren.

OSWEGO - Thomas W. Pierce, 26, a former resident of East Oneida Street, Oswego, died Jan. 2, 2001, at St. Luke Health Services. He was predeceased by his mother, Rose M. (Fratello) Pierce, in 1993. Surviving are his father, Jack L. Pierce Sr. of Fulton; three brothers, Jack L. Pierce Jr. of Phoenix, Joseph Pierce of Pennellville and Matthew Pierce of Fulton.

PENNELLVILLE - Jack D. Revelle, 74, of Pennellville, died Jan. 2, 2001, at Crouse Hospital. Surviving are his wife, Joyce Revelle; a daughter, Barbara Jo Revelle of Gainesville, Fla.; a son, Jack C. of Bernhards Bay; his mother, Carolyn Revelle of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Betty Radcliffe of Ann Arbor, Mich., three grandchildren.

LACONA - Glenn W. "Pete" Reid, 85, of county Route 15, Lacona, died Dec. 30, 2000, at St. Luke Health Services, Oswego. He was predeceased by his wife, Beatrice Reid, in 1999. Surviving are a daughter, Cheryl Miller of Ithaca; two sons, Melvin of Sandy Pond and Marvin of Crystal River, Fla.; a sister, Ella Smith of Land O'Lakes, Fla.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

HANNIBAL - Paul E. Woods, 48, of 9 West St., Hannibal, died Jan. 4, 2001, at University Hospital, Syracuse. Surviving are his father, George E. Woods of Hannibal; a sister, Kathleen A. Hicks of Sterling; a brother, Randolph L. Woods of Hannibal; two nieces; a nephew; three great-nieces and a great-nephew. He was predeceased by his mother, May C. Woods, last year. OSWEGO - Nelson E. Lester Lonsinger, 31, a resident of 94 Liberty St., Oswego, died Jan. 2. 2001, at his home. He is survived by a son, Andrew Welch of Fulton; his adoptive parents, Michael and Linda (Jackson) Lonsinger of Shinnston, W.Va.; one sister, Jeanie Russell of Syracuse; one stepsister, Julia Yablonski of Scriba; two brothers, Robert Lester of Louisiana and Jason Lester of Baldwinsville; one stepbrother, Kenneth Loveall of Oswego County; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Jackson of Virginia; his mother and stepfather, Brenda and William Loveall of Fulton; his father, Nelson E. Lester of Virginia; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Ralph E. Jackson.

FAIR HAVEN - Irene W. Moore, 92, a former resident of Fair Haven and Auburn, died Jan. 4, 2001, at Loretto Heights Nursing Home, Oswego. She was predeceased by her husband, Oscar Moore. Surviving is a nephew, James Travis of Hannibal.

RANDOLPH, N.J. - Margaret Shoenfelt-Kirsch, 56, a resident of Randolph, N.J. since 1970 and a former resident of Oswego, died Jan. 1, 2001 at St. Clare's Hospital/Dover, Dover, N.J., of an apparent heart attack. She was predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Shoenfelt, in 1992. Surviving are her husband, Helgard Kirsch; three daughters, Nanette Holder of Randolph, N.J., Tanya Nizialek of South Riding, Va., and Jodi Glenn of Linwood, N.J.; her mother, E. Margaret Stopher of Oswego; two brothers, Emmet Stopher of Camillus and John Stopher of Dewitt; one sister, Pat Mitchell of Clovis, N.M.; seven grandchildren. LACONA - Glenn W. "Pete" Reid, 85, of county Route 15, Lacona, died Dec. 30, 2000, at St. Luke Health Services, Oswego. He was predeceased by his wife, Beatrice Reid, in 1999. Surviving are a daughter, Cheryl Miller of Ithaca; two sons, Melvin of Sandy Pond and Marvin of Crystal River, Fla.; a sister, Ella Smith of Land O'Lakes, Fla.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

PHOENIX - Cora V. (Gibbons) Miller, 67, of Phoenix, died Jan. 2, 2001, at Crouse Hospital. Surviving are her husband, Fred R. Miller Sr.; two daughters, Marion Kimball Brostek of Solvay and Lulia Miller Brown of Syracuse; five sons, Gerald Kimball of Oklahoma City, Fred Miller Jr. of LaFayettte, Edward Miller of Bowens Corners, Thomas Miller of Baldwinsville and Anthony Miller of Hannibal; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

PARISH - Doris E. Priest, 96, of Route 104, Parish, died Dec. 30, 2000, at her home. She was predeceased by her husband, George N. Priest, in 1992. Surviving are four daughters, June French of Pulaski, Gloria Bennett and Shirley Shepard, both of Parish, and Joyce Trumble of Hastings; three sons, Alfred of Altmar and James and Ronald, both of Parish; 36 grandchildren; 94 great-grandchildren; 50 great-great-grandchildren.

BARTOW, Fla. - Pauline E. Clement, 74, of Bartow, Fla., and a former resident of Liverpool, died Dec. 30, 2000, at Lakeland Medical Center in Florida. Surviving are her husband, John R. Clement; three daughters, Bonnie Durham of Boerne, Texas, Nancy Southwick of Jamesville and Penny Beeman of Fulton; a sister, Shirley Nicholas of Liverpool; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

OSWEGO - Ruth L. (Herrick) Kelly, 86, of Oswego, died Dec. 21, 2000, at Oswego Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, John Kelly, in 1993. Surviving are a daughter, Susan Kelly of Cortez Village, Fla.; granddaughters, Kelly Blumer of Anchorage, Alaska, Bonnie Sofarelli of Barcelona, Spain, and Karen Blumer of Portland, Ore.; a grandson, Ken Blumer of Central Square; two great-grandchildren.

OSWEGO - Barbara Nettles, 59, of 172 E. 13th St., died Jan. 5, 2001, in her home after a long illness. Mrs. Nettles was predeceased by her husband, Charles, in 1979, and one brother, Anthony Crisafulli, in 1993. She is survived by three daughters, Mary Jo Nettles of California, Pamela Trbovich of Orchard Park, and Patricia Young of Adams Center; two sons, Michael and John Nettles, both of Oswego; two sisters, Mayme C. Paeno of Oswego and Mary Marturano of Pennsylvania; six brothers, Charles, John and Louis Crisafulli, all of Oswego, Joseph Crisafulli of California, Domenic Crisafulli of Liverpool, and James Crisafulli of Syracuse; more than 300 nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. MINETTO - Dawn Allen, 96, a resident of 59 county Route 31 in the town of Minetto, died Jan. 6, 2001, at Loretto Heights Nursing Home. Surviving are a brother, Carl Allen of Minetto, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Kenneth Allen. Contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.

FULTON - Percy Patrick, 79, of 14 Frawley Drive, Fulton, died Jan. 6, 2001, at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Josephine (Cleary) Patrick of Fulton; one daughter, Michele Coll of Colorado Springs; two sons, Michael Patrick of Maryland and Ronald Patrick of Fulton; two sisters, Pearl Billings of California and Patricia Oliver of North Carolina; two brothers, Kenneth and Donald Patrick, both of Fulton; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. BOONVILLE - Gelia K. Parker, 81, a former resident of Fulton, died Jan. 3, 2001 at the Eastern Star Home in Oriskany. Surviving are a sister, Geraldine Froeligh of Oriskany; a son, Bill (Linda) Parker of Prospect; a daughter, Elaine Violando of Fulton and Howell, Mich.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson. BRONX - Martin R. Warner, 43, of 50 W. Mount Eden Ave., the Bronx, died Jan. 2, 2001. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Dolores and John Terranova Sr. of Liverpool; his father, Richard T. Warner Sr. of Binghamton; two daughters, Laurel Jane Warner and Kimberly Colette Warner, both of Syracuse; one sister, Judithann of Syracuse; one brother, Richard T. Warner Jr. of Syracuse. 

OSWEGO - Robert F. Whittier Jr., 51, of 25 Harbor Brook Drive, Oswego, died Jan. 5, 2001, at Oswego Hospital, following an apparent heart attack suffered at work. Surviving are his wife, Patricia (Holmes) Whittier; one daughter, Johnna Flanders of Sterling; two sons, Stephen Whittier of Norwood and Jason Whittier of Atlanta, Ga.; two stepsons, Timothy Cahill of Michigan and Ronald Cahill of Oswego; his mother; two brothers, Larry and Ronald Whittier, both of Watertown; three sisters, Roseanne Brown of Hammond, Pamela Whittier of Harrington, Maine and Marsha Whittier of Stanford, Conn.; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

DANSVILLE - Dorothy B. Nichol, 79, of Crestwood Circle, Dansville, died Jan. 3, 2001 at Noyes Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Jeff Nichol, Sept. 8, 1996. Surviving are two daughters, Nancy (William) Bandla of Minetto and Alexandra (Lawrence) Hartman of Dansville; a sister, Elizabeth Nichol of Rhinebeck; five grandchildren; a great-grandson; several nieces and nephews. CLEVELAND - Felicia Czarnecki Dote, 84, of Cleveland, died Jan. 7, 2001 at her home. She was predeceased by her husband, Theodore K. Dote, in 1982. Surviving are three daughters, Joelle Dote-Cooper of Cleveland, Nancy Dote of Cicero and Suzanne Etz of Pulaski; a son, Michael of Memphis, Tenn.; a sister, Genevieve Janowicz of St. Johnsville; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. 

PENNELLVILLE - Richard R. "Dick" Hall, 78, of Route 54, Pennellville, died Jan. 5, 2001, at A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton. Surviving are his wife, Helen Hall; a daughter, Anita Hall of North Carolina; two stepsons, Robert Brooks of Pennellville and William Brooks of Mattydale; two stepdaughters, Sandra Cirillo of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Deborah Kennedy of Dansville; three sisters, Alma Monica of Volney, Ann McFall of Bridgeport and Jean Kruth of Liverpool; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

CENTRAL SQUARE - Clara K. Lawyer, 91, a former resident of Meadowview Apartments, Central Square, died Jan. 6, 2001, at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles T. Lawyer, in 1973; and a son, Charles J. Lawyer, in 1992. Surviving are a daughter, Margaret "Peg" McCarthy of Constantia; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

OSWEGO - Joseph E. Mulcahey, 76, of West Fifth Street Road, Oswego, died Jan. 8, 2001, at Auburn Memorial Hospital. Surviving are his wife, the former Alda Bradley; a daughter, Marla (David) Brown of Weedsport; three sisters, Kathleen Dzwonkas of Whitesboro, Ann Rose Frateschi of Lakeland and Geraldine Buckley of Endwell; six brothers, Ford, Cornelius, David and Daniel Mulcahey, all of Oswego, Francis Mulcahey of LaHabra Heights, Calif., and Thomas Mulcahey of LaQuinta, Calif.; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

FAIR HAVEN - Mary E. Axtell, 62, of 14545 Fancher Ave., Fair Haven, died Jan. 8, 2001, at her home. Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Stanley E. Axtell of Fair Haven; a daughter, Rhonda L. Jones of Hilton Head, S.C.; a son, Richard C. Axtell of Martville; two sisters, Margaret Mitchelson of Oswego and Rinda Argetsinger of Fulton; a brother, Russell Longley of Fair Haven; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. WEST MONROE - Christine P. (Bujak) Brown, 51, of West Monroe, died Jan. 5, 2001, at h er home. She was predeceased by her father, John J. Bujak, in 1987. Surviving are a daughter, Jennifer Stevenson of West Monroe; a son, John C. Payne of West Monroe; her mother, Stella Bujak of Mattydale; a sister, Marilyn Bujak of New Mexico; a brother, John F. Bujak of Lockport.

FULTON - Ann Franco Cerklewich, 40, and her mother, Berty Cline, 79, both of 632 1/2 W. Third St., Fulton, died Jan. 9, 2001, as a result of injuries suffered from an automobile accident.

LANSING - Roy Cochran, 84, of Salmon Creek Road, Lansing, died Jan. 8, 2001, at Reconstruction Home, Ithaca. Surviving are his wife, Lorena Cochran; a daughter, Carolyn Block of Barnwell, S.C.; two sons, Roy and Allen Cochran, both of Lansing; three brothers, Dana Cochran of Sylvan Beach, Raymond Cochran of Cortland and Francis Cochran of New Hope; three sisters, Ruth Sharp of Texas, Mildred Christopher of Maryland and Sadie Cochran of Seneca Falls; 17 grandchildren.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Mary Shirley Beauchamp, a former resident of Oswego, died Dec. 27, 2000, in Clarksville, Tenn. following a long illness. She was born in Oswego, Feb. 16, 1923, a daughter of the late William and Florence Dennee and graduated from Oswego High School. Following her husband's death in 1989, she moved to Clarksville, Tenn. Surviving are her children, Mary (Billy) A.C. Martin of Clarksville, Tenn., Joseph (Nolene) L. Beauchamp of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; Marie D. Russell of Port Hueneme, Calif.; William T. Beauchamp of Phoenix, Ariz.; Thomas (Loretta) J. Beauchamp of Whittier, Calif.; Mary F. Beauchamp of Clarksville, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by an infant brother, John, and a sister, Agnes Boardway.

CLEVELAND - Harold O. Nichols, 81, of Cleveland, died Jan. 8, 2001, at his home. He was predeceased by a daughter, Karen, in 1949, and a son, Ransom, in 1994. Surviving are his wife Jane L. Nichols; three daughters, Doris Nichols of Hyattsville, Md., Sandra Steele of Boulder, Mont. and Denice Nichols of Maryland; a sister, Louise Danforth of Fort Edwards; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
