OSWEGO - Theresa S. Jones, 67, of 32 Garrett St., Oswego, died Oct. 10, 2000, at her home. Surviving are her husband of more than 45 years, Bill Jones of Oswego; one son, William M. (Gina) Jones of Volney; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Helena Murray.

CLEVELAND - Raymond J. Cottet, 76, of Route 49, Cleveland, died Oct. 9, 2000, at University Hospital from injuries received in a farm accident Sept. 29, in Bernhards Bay.
Surviving are his wife, Mary (Stinger) Cottet; two daughters, Sandra Beeman of Central Square and Maryanne Smith of Altmar; a son, Randall of Bernhards Bay; three sisters, Roberta Laws of Constantia, Roselyn House of Central Square, and Rita Kinney of Van Alstyne, Texas; three brothers, Royce of Parish, Richard of Central Square and Ronald of Constantia; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

CARTERSVILLE, Ga. - Darrell D. Fortino III, three-month-old son of Darrell E. Jr. and Deanna M. (Courbat) Fortino of Cartersville, Ga., died Oct. 8, 2000.
Surviving besides his parents are a sister, Gabryel C. Fortino at home; his maternal grandparents, Karen and Richard Yelle of Cartersville, Ga.; his paternal grandparents, Paula Auringer-Messere of West Monroe and Darrell Fortino Sr. of Hastings; his maternal great-grandparents, Gary and Peggy McClemons of Oswego, and Dorothy and Don Bellows of Pulaski.

RED CREEK - Joyce A. (Tallman) Forsythe, 69, of 11 Garden Apartments, Red Creek, died Oct. 9, 2000, at Myers Hospital. Surviving are a daughter, Jean Allen of Fulton; three sons, Randy, Raymond and Ronald Forsythe, all of Red Creek; a sister, Elizabeth Swann of Rochester; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence R. Forsythe.

PULASKI - Bernice (Curry) O'Rourke, 85, of county Route 41A, Pulaski, died Oct. 8, 2000. She was predeceased by her husband, John F. O'Rourke, in 1997.
Surviving are three daughters, Elizabeth A. Narolis of Topeka, Kan., Elaine M. Seem of Olathe, Kan.; and Jeanne F. Chesnut of Pulaski; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

THURMONT - Rosario A. Finistrella, 69, of Clarke Avenue, Thurmont, died Oct. 3, 2000, at home. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lola Dorothea (Uhl) Finistrella in November, 1988. Surviving are his wife, Barbara (Horn) Finistrella; a daughter, Debra Lopez of Miami Beach, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Amanda Rhodes of Thurmont; a sister, Rose Burket of Bonita Springs, Fla.; one grandson; and one step-grandson.

LATHAM - Sister Margretta Lower, CSJ, the former Mildred Lower, died Oct. 10, 2000, at St. Joseph's Provincial House in Latham. Surviving are two nephews, Edward J. CHEEKTOWAGA - Edward Wojnowski Jr., 72, of Cheektowaga, died Oct. 9, 2000, at his home. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, the former Lorraine Giczkowski; three daughters, Sandra Harrison of Oswego, Karen Reddien of Grand Island and Susan Mathews of Lancaster; one son, Mark Wojnowski of Tonawanda; six grandchildren, Wendy (Harrison) Sullivan and Kristyn Harrison, both of Oswego, Sean and Neil Reddien, both of Grand Island, and Wes and Brittany Mathews, both of Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews.

CLEVELAND - Richard E. "Ricky" Kennedy, 11, of Widrige Road, Cleveland, died Oct. 8, 2000, at Crouse Hospital, from injuries received in an accident at his home. Surviving are his parents, Sharon and Bruce Kennedy of Cleveland; a sister, Stephanie Kennedy of Cleveland; his paternal grandparents, Lillian and Richard Kennedy of Mattydale; his maternal grandmother, Cecilia Brutcher of Mattydale.

GRANBY - Clifford C. Drake, 82, a resident of State Route 48, town of Granby, died Oct. 9, 2000, at his home. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Claudia Drake of Fulton; three daughters, Tammy Waloven of Hannibal, Roxanne Muniz of Sparks, Nev., and Linda Scott of Play Del Ray, Calif.; two sons, Gary Drake of Youngsville, N.C., and Richard Drake of Blue Springs, Mo.; one brother, Bernard Drake of Fulton; one sister, Leona Farnham of Fulton; seven grandchildren. CENTRAL SQUARE - Earl F. Klein, 77, of Central Square, died Oct. 7, 2000, at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center, Syracuse. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Champlin of Central Square and Kathleen Champlin of Cicero; a brother, Robert of Central Square; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Arlene Klein, in 1999.

WEST MONROE - Robert J. Miller, 77, of West Monroe, died Oct. 6, 2000, at his home. Surviving are his wife, Rose Marie (O'Malley) Miller; three daughters, Kristine Johncox of Damascus, Md., Peggy Swartzman of Rochester and Jeanne Barrett of Lake Mary, Fla.; three sons, Michael of West Monroe, Joseph F. of East Syracuse and Robert S. of Cicero; a sister, Catherine LaFleur of East Syracuse; and 16 grandchildren.

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. - David Holbrook, 68, of Ocean Springs, Miss., died Oct. 6, 2000. Surviving are his wife, Kay Holbrook of Ocean Springs, Miss.; five daughters, Linda Smith of Highlands Ranch. Colo., Kathy Clark of Ocean Springs, Anne Marie Breault of Kinnelon, N.J., Helen Holbrook-Mace of Pearl City, Hawaii, and Tar Lee Perry of Rochester; a sister, Barbara Pogar of Virginia Beach, Va.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. OSWEGO - Nikkie M. (Ashline) DiGregorio, 49, a resident of Pontiac Terrace Apartments, died Oct. 7, 2000, at her home.Surviving are a daughter, Sarah Steria of Croghan; a son, Demian DiGregorio of Oswego; two sisters, Tina Smith of Oswego, and Joanne Ashline of Plattsburgh; two brothers, Donald Ashline of Columbus, Ohio, and Peter Ashline of Fulton; one granddaughter, Korynne Steria of Croghan; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, John Ashline.

STERLING - Verna Estridge, 87, of 15575 Fire Lane One, Sterling, died Oct. 7, 2000, at the Pontiac Care and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. Surviving are a son, Frederick Peglow of Florida; two daughters, Connie Conrad of Potsdam and Linda DiCaprio of Niverville; three sisters, Mae Pennett of Carthage and Alma Longley and Betty Cole, both of Oswego; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. OSWEGO - Jacob J. Knosp, 100, of 845 Dutch Ridge Road, Oswego, died Oct. 6, 2000, at his home. Surviving are his wife of more than 75 years, Helen (Czirr) Knosp of Oswego; three daughters, Irene H. Moore of Oswego, Barbara A. Jordan of Florida and Helen A. Decker of Watterville; one son, Frank D. Knosp of Port Byron; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Harold J. Knosp, who died in 1971.

OSWEGO - Patricia A. Pelkey, 67, a resident of 3652 county Route 57, Seneca Hill, died Oct. 8, 2000, at Oswego Hospital. Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, John J. "Tim" Pelkey of Seneca Hill; three sons, Timothy Pelkey and Patrick Pelkey, both of Oswego, and Sean Pelkey of Seneca Hill; one sister, Sheila Furletti of Oswego; one brother, Albert DuGuay of Sonoma, Calif.; three granddaughters, Susan Pelkey, Rebecca Pelkey and Sarah Pelkey; and several nieces and nephews. OSWEGO - Herbert F. Trageser III, 43, of Oswego, died Oct. 5, 2000, at Oswego Hospital. He is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Gould of Hollywood, Fla.; his parents, Carol Trexler of Fulton and Herbert F. Jr. of Baldwinsville; a sister, Cynthia Downes of Liverpool; and a brother, Timothy of Spokane, Wash.

YULEE, Fla. - Gloria Jane Baldoze, infant daughter of Charles A. Baldoze and Brenda L. Cliff of 1600 Amy Drive, Yulee, Fla., died Sept. 18, 2000, at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital. Besides her parents she is survived by her grandparents, Edward and Gloria Myers of Oswego, and Jane Baldoze of Yulee; a sister, Jennifer Wilson of Lacona; her brothers, Robert Baldoze of Washington, Mathew Baldoze of Yulee, and Jason and Jamie Cliff of Oswego; several aunts and uncles.

BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. - Kathleen G. Mullen, 49, of Blairsville, Ga., a former resident of Brewerton and Pulaski, died Oct. 3, 2000, at Union Town Hospital Blairsville, Ga. She was predeceased by her husband, Terrance, in 1996. Surviving are a brother, Brian D. Mullen of Cazenovia; her mother, Sophie Mullen of Blairsville.

CLEVELAND - Dorothy S. Masters, 87, of Martin Road, Cleveland, died Sept. 30, 2000, at Iroquois Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, in 1990. Surviving are two daughters, Andrea Cottet of Cleveland and Roberta Harrington of Constantia; a son, John Masters of Tully; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

CENTRAL SQUARE - Ruth M.C. Blekkenk, 60, a resident of Wilson Road, Central Square, died Oct. 4, 2000, at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. Surviving are her husband of 35 years, William C. Blekkenk Sr.; two sons, Russell Blekkenk of Goldsboro, N.C., and William C. Blekkenk Jr. of Los Lunas, N.M.; a sister, Joyce Griffin of Hornell; four brothers, George Coller of State College, Pa., the Rev. Harold Coller of LeRoy, Lynn Coller of Ocala, Fla., and Lee Coller of Williamson; two grandchildren.

PALERMO - Harland L. Wallace, 79, a resident of 134 Factory Road, Palermo, died Oct. 5, 2000, at his home. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rosalind (Ryder) Wallace; two sons, Vernon L. Wallace of Bainbridge, Mass., and Rodney G. Wallace of Mexico; two sisters, Leah Pluff and Ema Hall, both of Fulton; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. OSWEGO - Andrew Jay Knopp, infant son of David and Camie (Cary) Knopp of Oswego, died Oct. 5, 2000, at Oswego Hospital. Surviving in addition to his parents, are a brother, Dekota Knopp of Oswego; his grandparents, Danny and Patricia Cary of Hannibal; his paternal grandparents, Donald Knopp of Oswego, and Cindy Pierce of Oswego; his maternal great-grandparents, Elaine and Howard Cary of Fulton; and his paternal great-grandparents, Beatrice and James Alton of Oswego.

NEWARK - Philip A. DeMott, 71, of Newark, died Oct. 4, 2000, in Rochester.Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Joan (Wilcox) DeMott; three sons, Larry (Debra) of Geneva, Bill (Sue) of Oswego and Steven (Dawn) of Canandaigua; one brother, James of Newark; one sister, Mary DeMott of Newark; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by two brothers, George and Michael. NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. - Virginia M. Case, 82, a resident of Red Maple Way, New Smyrna Beach, Fla., died Oct. 1, 2000. Surviving are six daughters, Millie Martin of New Smyrna Beach, Carol Rhodes of Deltona, Fla., Suzanne Cass of Tully, Jalayne Mitchell of Fulton, Kim Gallanger of Marcellus, and Sara Lee Parus of Fort Myers, Fla.; a son, David Case of Oswego; a sister, Ardis Dowding of Myrtle Beach, S.C., 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

SYRACUSE - Helen M. Beasock, 83,of Syracuse, died Sept. 28, 2000, at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, James L. Beasock Sr., in 1965. Surviving are three daughters, Patricia Stoneburner of Syracuse, Helen Kelly of Fulton and Barbara Pinkham of Lakeland, Fla.; a son, James L. Beasock Jr. of Syracuse; two sisters, Ann Donlon of West Seneca and Irene Jeroszko of Rome; a brother, Mike Michik of Vernon; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.

NEW HAVEN - Betty J. Lehmann, 74, a resident of 4315 Route 104, New Haven, died Sept. 29, 2000. She was predeceased by a son, William R. Lehmann, in 1965. Surviving are four daughters, Susan Jerrett of Mexico, Barbara Lehmann of Elizabeth, N.J., Nancy LaPrate of Monroe, N.C., and Betsy Peters of New Haven; two brothers, William Nichols of Springfield., N.J. and Edwin Nichols of Reno, Nev.; four grandchildren.

LIVE OAK, Fla. - Richard W. Smith, 88, a resident of Live Oak, Fla., died Oct. 3, 2000, after a short illness at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Lake City, Fla. 
Surviving are one daughter, Pearl Ann McGory of Henderson; one son, Ronald Smith of Live Oak, Fla.; one sister, Margret Drewes of Beverly Hill, Fla.; one brother, Fredrick Smith of Coeur D'Alene, Ind.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Richard W. Smith Jr.

OSWEGO - Helen I. Evers, 89, a former resident of St. Luke Apartments, died Oct. 4, 2000, at Loretto Heights Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl Evers, in 1968. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Goodway of Oswego; two sisters, Doris Turner of Oswego, and Alice Czirr of Fulton; a brother, Charles Perau of Minetto; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
