George P. Eddy Jr.,78, of West Bloomfield died Saturday, May 19, 2001, peacefully in his home, of cancer. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of Dr. George P. Eddy and Mrs. Helen T. Eddy. He graduated from Niagara University after serving as a P-47 Fighter Pilot in the European Theatre in WWII. After living in Lewiston, NY for several years, he moved to Honeoye Falls, and later retired from Xerox. He was an active member in the Bloomfield Scientific Club.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; four daughters, Robin (Terry) Nobles, Sandra (George) Hudler, Nancy (Edward) Parsons and Betsy Lewis; nine grandchildren, Kristen and Scott (Stacey) Nobles, Justin (Kim) Patterson, Jennifer and Elizabeth Hudler, Heather and Luke Parsons, Ian and Hayley Lewis; two great-grandchildren, Reece and Aiden Paterson; brother, Jerome S. (Joan) Eddy, and brother-in-law, Richard D. (Esther) Simons and their families.
A Memorial Service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 26th, 2001, at the Bloomfield United Methodist Church, East Bloomfield, NY with Pastor Juanita Bastian, officiating. There were no calling hours. Interment, North Ridge Cemetery, Lockport, NY at the convenience of his family.

James F. Krenzer of Saugus, Massachusetts, formerly of Lima, died on Wednesday, May 23, 2001. He is survived by his parents, Cyril and Diane Krenzer of Lima; three sisters, Dr. Kathleen Krenzer of Boston, Colleen (Anthony) Tama of New York City and Kerry Krenzer of Honeoye Falls; two brothers, Patrick (Kim) Krenzer of West Henrietta and Michael Krenzer of Stamford; two nieces, Siobhan and Fionnagh Krenzer; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
There were no prior calling hours. Family and friends attended his Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 26 at St. Agnes Church in Avon. Interment at Maplewood Cemetery.

Noah Michael Jeffries died unexpectedly on Friday, June 22, 2001, at Highland Hospital, Rochester. He is survived by and was the infant son of April Bennett and Michael Jeffries, both of Avon; maternal grandmother, Sandra Bennett of Avon; paternal grandmother, Debbie Loomis of Avon; aunt, Andrea; and uncles, Matthew Bennett and Brandon Jeffries.
Services and internment were held privately. Contributions may be made in his memory to the Highland Hospital Foundation (Neonatal Unit), 1000 South Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620. Burial was at St. Agnes Cemetery, Avon. Arrangements were made by the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Avon.

Jon Edgar Memorial Service on July 7
A Memorial Service to celebrate the life and spirit of Jon Roger Edgar, formerly of Scottsville, will be held on Saturday, July 7, at Union Presbyterian Church, 1 Browns Avenue, Scottsville.
Mr. Edgar was raised in Scottsville and graduated from Wheatland-Chili High School. He battled Cystic Fibrosis during is life, and finally succumbed to its effects on March 31, 2001.

A Memorial Golf Tournament in Jonís honor will be held on Saturday, July 15, at Cragie Brae Golf Club, 4391 Union Street, Scottsville, beginning at noon. Elizabeth E. Dodzweit, 45, formerly of Lima, died suddenly on Thursday, June 14, 2001, in Delray Beach, Florida. She was predeceased by her parents, Siegfried and Esther Dodzweit, and her brother, Philip Dodzweit. She is survived by daughter, Melissa Campese of Delray Beach, FL; three brothers, Arthur Victor (Joy) Dodzweit of Florida, Benjamin (Sarah) Dodzweit of Lima, and Hugo Dodzweit of Switzerland; three sisters, Sharon Rose (Bernard) Evans of Lima, Joy (John) Stutzman of Elmira, and Gloria Dodzweit of Switzerland; stepmother, Mathilda Dodzweit of Germany; aunt, Hannah Stewart of Montana; and nieces and nephews.
Friends called Monday at the OíConnell-Dougherty Funeral Home in Lima. Services were held Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Elim Gospel Church, Lima. Interment was held at Oakridge Cemetery, Lima.

John P. Dunn, 71, of Mt. Morris, died Thursday, June 28, 2001. Beloved husband of Suzanne "Suz"; beloved father of Deborah (John) Schmidt of Mt. Morris; Mark (Cynthia) Dunn of New Hartford, NY; Christine (William) Fortune of Avon; Thomas (Elizabeth) Dunn of Honeoye Falls; Christopher (Lisa) Dunn of Tampa, FL; Olinda (Warren) Bailey of San Francisco, CA; beloved grandfather of Jennifer, Matthew, Allison, Lauren, Lainey, Vanessa, Brennan, Caitlin, Jeffery, Jonathan, Savannah and Andrew; brother of Robert P. Dunn of Rochester.
Mr. Dunn was a graduate of Potsdam Teachers College and received his MS in Education from Brockport State College. He began his teaching career in 1958 in Waterloo, NY, where he taught for 18 years. During his tenure at Waterloo, he coached football and multiple Section 5 basketball teams. Active in school and community organizations, Mr. Dunn devoted himself to the mentoring and nurturing of the local youth. In 1976, he became Superintendent of Schools in Springfield, NY. From 1977-86, he led the Mt. Morris Central School District until his retirement. Districts in many areas sought Mr. Dunnís expertise and he began a new career as Interim Superintendent in various districts in the Oneida, Herkimer, Madison BOCES and Livingston, Steuben, Wyoming BOCES. In all, 12 school districts benefited from his experience and leadership. 
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Mr. Dunn recognized the great importance of family and enjoyed the activities of his children and grandchildren with great pleasure. He regarded his large extended family his greatest achievement.
Friends called on Sunday, July 1, at the John W. Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. A Memorial Service was held on Monday, July 2, at the United Church of Mt. Morris. Memorials may be made in Johnís memory to the Livingston County Hospice Fund, 2 County Campus, Mt. Morris, NY 14510.

Suzanne J. Davis of Honeoye Falls, formerly of Springwater, NY, died recently. She is survived by her daughter, Maria Davis; and son, Michael Davis; her parents, Daniel and Judith Patrick Collins; two sisters, Barbara (James) Grisiom and Janet (William) Bauer; grandmother, Thelma D. Patrick; three aunts, Kathleen (Joe) Norman, Carol Collins and Terry Campbell; two great aunts; two nieces and one nephew; and many cousins.
Friends called on Monday, July 2 at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home in Honeoye Falls. Services were held on Tuesday, July 3 at St. Johnís Episcopal Church, Episcopal Avenue in Honeoye Falls.

Roland Roe Hill, 85, died on Sunday, July 1, 2001, at the F.F. Thompson Memorial Hospital in Canandaigua. Born December 21, 1915, in Goshen, Mr. Hill was the son of Frank and Ruth (Roe) Hill. He is survived by his children, Melodye Mack of Rochester, Heather Roll of Webster, Robert (Debbie) of Lima, Holly (John) OíShaughnessy of Bartonsville, PA, and Martha (Richard) Chase of MA; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was a retired parts manager from Pacesetter Nissan in Rochester. He was WW II Navy Veteran and a member of the VFW Kenneth Keating Post No. 29 in Lima. As a member of the Post, he served as Quartermaster and Post Commander. In 1985, Mr. Hill was instrumental in starting the Lima Down-Hill Derby, which he ran for the last 15 years.
Calling hours and funeral services were held at the OíConnell-Dougherty Funeral Home in Lima with the Rev. Corey Keyes officiating. Interment was held at the Oakridge Cemetery, Lima.

Loretta E. (VanHall) Hookstra, 62, died Monday, July 2, 2001. She called both Sodus Point and Sun City Center, Florida, her homes. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Gary M.; a daughter, Julie Hookstra, of Rochester; two sons, Gregory (Beth) of Virginia, and Eric (Janet) of Honeoye Falls; grandchildren, Caleb, Jeffrey and Brian Hookstra; and many more family and friends.
She was a retiree of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School Districtís Department of Transportation. She was a member of the Sodus Bay Heights Golf Club, the Cypress Greens Golf Club of Florida, and the Sodus Bay Historical Society.
Services were held at the Grace Baptist Church in Marion. Private interment was held at Lake View Cemetery, Pultneyville. Expressions of sympathy may be directed in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 1400 Winton Rd. N., PO Box 10609, Rochester, NY 14610.

Patricia W. Northrup of Spring Water, formerly of Honeoye Falls, died suddenly on Saturday, June 30, 2001. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald E. Northrup; three daughters, Mary (Henry) Rose, Barbara (Louis) DiMartino, and Beverly (Dale) Lovejoy; three sons, Donald (Karen), Craig (Lori), and Paul J. (Teresa); grandchildren, Tracy (David) Poole, Brent Rose, Chip Northrup, Nichole Northrup, Kyle DiMartino, Shawn Lovejoy, Ariel and Kelly Lovejoy, and Michael Northrup; step-grandchildren, Rachel Coye, and Kevin and Kurt Peri; one great-granddaughter, Amelia Rose Poole; brother, John Wood; nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Services were held at the Merton Kays Funeral Home in Honeoye Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul of The Cross Church in Honeoye Falls. Alice J. Schmitt of Rush died Monday, July 2, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Joseph; children, Joseph Schmitt, Patti Smith, Judy (Harry) Burnett, and Kenneth (Debbi) Schmitt; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass was held at Henry D. Halloran Son, Inc., Funeral Home. Interment followed at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Rush. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 320 Lexington Ave., Rochester, NY 14613.

Dimytro Banach of Avon, 81, died on Wednesday, July 18 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.
Mr. Banach was born on October 29, 1919 in Manhattan, NY, the son of James Banach and Mary (Kupchuk) Banach. He was retired from his position as a custodian at the Smith Town School System in Long Island, NY. He was also a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his daughter, Annette Savastano of Ronkonkoma, NY; son, Donald Banach of Florida; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Teresa Holub of Avon and Lillian (Jake) Bontrager of Alaska; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John (Ruth) Banach of LaGrangeville, NY and Daniel (Ruth) Banach of California; nine grandchildren, Seth and Luke Banach, and John, Charles, Donald, Douglas, Louis, Cindy and Deborah Savastano; 16 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours and funeral services were held at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. in Avon, NY, the Revered James porter officiating. Interment at Avon Cemetery in Avon, NY.

Margaret C. Martin, formerly of Honeoye Falls, 88, died on Sunday, July 22, 2001 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville unexpectedly. She had been living at Morgan Estates in Geneseo.
Margaret was a retired librarian from the Wellsville High School in Wellsville, NY, retiring after several years of teaching.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol Edwards of lima; two grandsons, Gerald (Peggy) Borhuis of Honeoye Falls and James (Lisa) Borkhuis of Hillsborough, NC; one great grandson, Jeffrey Borkhuis of Hillsborough; three sisters, Elizabeth Avallone of Lowville, NY, Florence Unger of Scottsville, NY and Mary Helen (Arthur) Machell of Webster, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
There were no prior calling hours. Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements were handled through the Chamberlain Funeral Home, Inc. in Dansville.

      Joseph Costanza, 88, of Rush and Avon, died Wednesday, July 25, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Rose DeFranco Costanza; four sons, Anthony J. of Rochester, Jerome J. of Florida, Francis J. (Bonnie) of Livonia, and Ronald J. of Honeoye; four grandchildren, Adam, Matthew, Luke and Joseph; one brother, Steve (Mary) Costanza of Rochester; three sisters, Margaret DiPrima and Jennifer Maenza both of Rochester and Mamie (Jim) Brunicindi of New Mexico; and nieces and nephews.

      Charles H. Johnson, 70, of 7472 Common Road, Angelica, died on Sunday, July 22, 2001 at Bath VA Hospital following a long illness. Born in Canandaigua, NY, on May 17, 1931, Mr. Johnson was the son of Charles and Virginia (Heath) Johnson. Charles was a veteran of the US Army, having served in the Special Services Unit during the Korean Conflict.

Rose Marie Harloff, a retired office manager of the Pease Company of Rochester and former employee of the Rittenhouse Company of Honeoye Falls, died August 11, 2001 in the Life Care Center of Citrus County, in Lecanto, FL. She was 93.
A resident of Honeoye Falls for 30 years, Mrs. Harloff was a member of Honeoye Falls Presbyterian Church, a member of the drill team in the Daughters of the Nile, and past matron of Union Star Loge #328 of the Eastern Star. She moved to Dunnellon, FL. in 1971 where she was a member of Dunnellon Presbyterian Church and the local chapter of the Eastern Star. She was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Harloff was preceded in death by husbands Edward G. Potvin and Howard Harloff, stepson Robert H. Harloff and life-long friend, Dorothea Cassagne. Survivors include Nancy Moses of Caledonia; Renee Lord of Dunnellon, Fl.; James Harloff of Punta Gorda, FL.; Marion Plain of Honeoye Falls; Betty Heinrich of Rochester; Carol Van Slyke of Ontario; William Harloff of Mount Vernon, IN; daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation at Merton H. Kays Funeral Home in Honeoye Falls from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 20, 2001. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. at Honeoye Falls Cemetery.

Goldie M. Kreiger of Honeoye Falls died on Sunday, August 12, 2001. She was predeceased by her two husbands, Lyle Guild and Lyle Krieger; and a son, Gerald Guild. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (William) lynch; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Guild; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Joan (Bud) Wigent; brother, Harley (Shirley) Poore; and nieces and nephews.
Friends called at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home in Honeoye Falls. Eastern Star Services were conducted on Wednesday, August 15, at 8 p.m. by Lima Chapter #384. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Honeoye Falls Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Honeoye Falls-Mendon Volunteer Ambulance Fund or the Ontario/Yates County Hospice in memory of Mrs. Kreiger.

      Marion F. Lally of Scottsville died Wednesday, August 8, 2001. She is survived by a daughter, Linda (Gary) McGill; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Calling hours were held at the J.H. Cameron Funeral Home, Scottsville, on Thursday, August 9. Funeral services were held there on Friday, August 10. 

Alice M. Whalen, 84, of Avon, died Tuesday, August 7, 2001 at the Skilled Nursing Facility in Geneseo.

Herman L. "Red" Lilley of Honeoye Falls died unexpectedly on Monday, August 20, 2001. He is predeceased by his wife, Lois. He is survived by two daughters, Roberta Walker and Linda (Nick) Moretti; three grandchildren, Jon (Stephanie), Anna (Eric) and Carrie; two great grandchildren, AJ and Olivia; two sisters-in-law, Erma Ruby and Millicent Ruby; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home in Honeoye Falls, where a Masonic service was held by the Union Star Lodge F&AM #320. Funeral Services were also held at the funeral home. Internment was at the Honeoye Falls Cemetery.

James G. Voellinger of Rush died Saturday, August 18, 2001 at the age of 67. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Dorothy; sons, Frank (Gigi), Michael (Dolores), Daniel (Kumiko), and William; daughter, Mary Foley; grandchildren, Joe, Theresa, Kayla Voellinger and Madeline Foley; and sister, Mary Ellen (Albert) Tortoretti.
Mr. Voellinger was a veteran of the US Navy.
Calling hours and Funeral Services were held at the Henry D. Halloran Son Inc. Funeral Home in Henrietta. A Funeral Mass was held at Good Shepard Church, Henrietta.
