aged 20 years, 3 months and 3 days. Funeral services from the family
residence, Cochrane street, near Clinton, city line, Sunday afternoon at
2 o'clock. Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend.
*Note: She died in the Town of Cheektowaga and is buried in
Pine Hill Cemetery. She actually died April 8, 1897, 6 days after
the birth of her son Ernest F. Boldt.
BRIGGS - At East Aurora, N.Y., Sept. 3, 1934, Susan Charlotte (nee Heitman),
beloved wife of Allen L. Briggs; mother of Mrs. Elmer Ehlers of East Aurora;
daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Fred Heitman of South Wales and sister of Fred,
Harry, Floyd, Mrs. Merle Luss, Oscar, Mrs. John Holmes of South Wales and
the late Richard Heitman. Services will be held from the family residence,
301 Oakwood avenue, Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 2:30 P.M., D.S.T. Burial
in Oakwood cemetery.
*Note: She was also predeceased by her sister Emma Heitman
Boldt. Mrs. Merle (Merrill) Luss was her sister Eva and Mrs. John
Holmes was her sister May. Her daughter's name was Dorothy Briggs

of the late Susan Heitman; father of Mrs. Elmer Ehlers; grandfather of
Mary Lou, Sue Ann and Martha May Ehlers; brother of Mrs. Fred Blinston

ALLEN L. BRIGGS
Funeral services for Allen L. Briggs, 69, were held Monday afternoon
from the Howe Funeral Home with the Rev. Victor H. Neeb of Immanuel Lutheran
church oficiating. Burial was in Oakwood cemetery.
Mr. Briggs died Saturday morning at 4 o'clock of coronary thrombois
in Our Lady of Victory hospital, Lackawanna. He seemed in good health
and was in Buffalo Wednesday but was taken to the hospital Friday at 6:30
Mr. Briggs was born Oct. 10, 1876, in the Town of Aurora and lived
his life in the community. For 33 years he was affiliated with the
Clement dairy. Since Mrs. Briggs died 11 years ago last Labor day,
the husband has lived with a daughter at 123 Park place.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Elmer Ehlers; a sister, Mrs. Fred Blinston,
Wales Center; one brother, Elmer Briggs, Marilla, and three grandchildren.
*Note: Mrs. Elmer Ehlers' given name was Dorothy.

Lynn Nicole "Linny Lou" Luss
NEWARK - Lynn Nicole "Linny Lou" Luss, age 3, of Marbletown Road, died
on Thursday (June 24, 1999) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Friends may call today, Sunday (June 27) from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Schulz-Pusateri
Funeral Home, 103 Maple Court in Newark. Funeral services will be
held following the calling hours at 4 p.m., at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the parents, John & Esther Luss.
Lynn Nicole was born Oct. 12, 1995, in Newark, the daughter of John
and Esther Cruikshank Luss. She had attended the Head Start Program
at Roosevelt School in Newark.
She is survived by her parents, John and Esther Luss; two sisters,
Autumn Hoyt and Katie Luss; one brother, Robert Luss; paternal grandmother,
Frances Luss, all of Newark; maternal grandfather, Edward Cruikshank of
Portland, Ore.; aunts, uncles and cousins; and many special friends.
*Note: The Luss family was originally from S. Wales and E.
Aurora in Erie County.
LUSS - April 16, 1934, William H., husband of the late Frederica (nee
Wagner); father of Mrs. Fred Merlau, Albert H., William C., Merrill A.
and the late Mrs. John Weinheimer. Funeral from Frantz's funeral
home, East Aurora, N.Y., Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment
in South Wales. Friends invited.
*Note: His daughter Wilhelmina "Minnie" was Mrs. Fred Merlau
and his daughter Grace was Mrs. John Weinheimer. Grace died in the
influenza epidemic in 1918.
LUSS - At East Aurora, April 15, 1923, Rekey, wife of William Luss,
mother of Mrs. Fred Merlau, Albert, William Jr., and Merrill. Funeral
services were held from the late residence in Olean street, Wednesday,
April 18, at 2 o'clock. Interment at South Wales.
*Note: Her daughter Wilhelmina "Minnie" was Mrs. Fred Merlau.
She was predeceased by her daughter Grace (John) Weinheimer who died in
the influenza epidemic in 1918.

The sad news was received here Monday of the death of Mrs. William
Luss of East Aurora, which occured Sunday night. She was injured
in a fall from the cellar stairs on Friday of last week. Mrs. Luss
had lived nearly all of her life here and had but recently moved to East

Ann M. Chamberlain of Freedom died Dec. 12, 2001 in Freedom.
She was born Sept. 2, 1933 in East Aurora and was the wife of the late
Earl Chamberlain. She was the daughter of the late Louis L. and Ruth
C. (Kruse) Hayden and sister of Laura (late Karl) Stroh, Pearl (Gary) Kiener,
June (Ken) Kleinsmith, Dorothy (Bernie) Horschel, Fay (Floyd) Buchanan,
Roy (Sue) Hayden, and the late Robert, Harold, George, and Donald Hayden,
and sister-in-law of Aggie, Gert, and Issy Hayden. She was the aunt
of several nieces and nephews and great aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Chamberlain was an avid county music fan and with her husband
had a band called "The Driftwoods". She was a member of the Bluegrass
Assoc. She was a retired wire cutter at Prestolite in Arcade.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family with burial
at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Ellicottville and arrangements by W.S. Davis,
Inc. Funeral Home, Arcade. Memorials may be made to the Comstock
Hospice in Olean.
