Paul Stuhlmiller
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 24 at 11 a.m. from St. Martinís Church for Paul R. Stuhlmiller, 63, of Langford, who died Sunday, May 20, 2001.
Husband of the late Lorena Schmitz Stuhlmiller, he is survived by his daughters, Lisa (Rick) Williams and Lori (Ken) Telak; son, Paul (fiancee Tammie Hermann) Stuhlmiller; mother, Anna Stuhlmiller; sisters, Nancy and Mary Ann (late Ronnie) Gabel; six grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Richard Stuhlmiller.
Mr. Stuhlmiller was a retired employee of National Fuel. He was a member of several organizations including St. Martinís Church and the Langford and New Oregon Fire Company. 
Burial will be at St. Martinís Cemetery and arrangements were made through the Wentland Funeral Home.

Howard Siefke
Private funeral services were recently held for Howard A. Siefke, 78, of Eden, who died Wednesday, May 9, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Hurley Siefke; daughters, Sharon (Dan) Bilowus, Carol (Paul) Bedworth, Barbara (Danny) Meadows, Donna (Cliff) Harris and Elaine (David) Stadsvold; sons, Howard (Patricia) and Richard (Julie) Siefke; and 19 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one niece and one nephew.
He was predeceased by his sister, Grace Wright; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Siefke was the retired owner of Eden Dry Cleaners in Blasdell. He was a member of Newell-Faulkner Post No. 880 American Legion and Eden Memorial Post No. 8265 VFW.

Ralph McQuillan
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday (May 21) from SS. Peter & Paul Church for Ralph W. McQuillan, 74, of Hamburg, who died Friday, May 18, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Pitts McQuillan; sons, Roderick (Catherine), Eric (Becky) and Randall McQuillan; and five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, Harold (Nora) McQuillan.
Mr. McQuillan was a retired employee of General Mills. He was a member of the Saint Vincent de Paul Society, American Legion Post No. 527 and also served as an usher at SS. Peter & Paul Church. 
Burial was at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery and arrangements were made through the Donald M. Demmerley Funeral Home.

Doris Jones
Funeral services were held Monday (May 21) for Doris M. Vail Jones, 80, of Hamburg, who died Thursday, May 17, 2001.
Wife of the late John P. Jones, she is survived by her sons, David A. (Carol) and Thomas L. Jones; daughters, Lynn M. Detzel and Donna F. Jones; brother, Bud Vail; sisters, June Gregory, Marie Knapp and Ruth Howland; eight grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jones was a member of the Hamburg and Wanakah Senior Citizens and a past Noble Grand of Rebekah Lodge No. 390.

George Engler
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday (May 14) from St. Mary of the Lake Church for George F. Engler, 82, of Hamburg, who died Thursday, May 10, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Campbell Engler; daughters, Mary Roche and Kathy (William) Hunt; stepsons, Kenneth (Cheryl) and Robert (Jayne) Campbell; stepdaughter, Barbara (John) Polok; and 22 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marie McLaughlin Engler; and brother, Dr. John (Joanne) Reedy.
Mr. Engler was an attorney for the Surrogate Court in Buffalo.

Betty Lederman
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday (May 21) from SS. Peter & Paul Church for Betty J. Milliron Lederman, 79, of Hamburg, who died Friday, May 18, 2001.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Lederman; sons, Gary (Mary) and George (Nancy) Lederman; brothers, William (Dorothy) and Stuart (Rita) Milliron; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lederman was employed as a cook for the Hamburg Central School District.

Marguerite Bourne, founding member of local church, dies at age 108
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 25 at 10 a.m. from the Hamburg United Methodist Church for 

Marguerite Bourne, 108, who died Saturday, December 23, 2000.
Wife of the late Thomas Bourne, she is survived by her daughter, Betty (Dr. Richard) Cullern; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son, Marshall (Joyce) Bourne.
Mrs. Bourne was one of the founding members of the Hamburg United Methodist Church. She was also active in various social groups including the Antique Study Group and the Hamburg Womenís Club. 
Memorials may be made to the Hamburg United Methodist Church.

Anthony Delmonte
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday (May 29) from St. Francis of Assisi Church for Anthony Delmonte, 69, of Hamburg, who died Wednesday, May 23, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude B. Kozaczka Delmonte; sons, Michael (Lyn), Kenneth (Deborah) and Dennis (Lynn) Delmonte; brothers, Daniel and Samuel Delmonte; sisters, Mary Nunciato, Fannie Tribuzzi and Rita Borst; and 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Tommy, Jesse and Rudolph Delmonte; and sisters, Genny Delia and Ella DeMarco.
Mr. Delmonte was employed as an operating engineer for Local No. 17.
Entombment was at Holy Cross Cemetery and arrangements were made through the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home.

Wife of the late Phillip Knopp, she is survived by her son, Dr. Robert (Judith) Knopp; daughter, Mary (Clayton) Harris; four grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Knopp was retired from the Erie County Republican Committee.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Godios; daughters, Gina (Steve) Prahovic, Eileen Godios and Karianne (Chris) Gregoire; sister, Eileen (Thomas) Sinatra; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Godios was employed as a manager for the Pine Meadows Golf Course in Clarence.

Francis Armbruster
Funeral services were held Monday (May 28) from SS. Peter & Paul Church for Francis V. Armbruster, 95, of Hamburg, who died Thursday, May 24, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Lons Armbruster; daughters, Lona (Michael) Butler, Jean (John) Bayuse and Rose Mary (Carl) Wahl; sister, Eleanor Schnepp; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Armbruster was a retired welder for Bethlehem Steel.

Allan Pattison
Memorial services were held Friday (May 18) from the Loomis, Offers & Loomis Funeral Home for Allan W. Pattison, 60, of East Palm Dale, California and formerly of Blasdell, who died Thursday, March 22, 2001.
He is survived by his sons, Mark and Thomas Pattison; sister, Beverly (Gary) Overton; and two grandchildren and one nephew.
Mr. Pattison was employed as a casino card dealer.

Teresa Weber
Funeral services were held Tuesday (May 29) from Our Mother of Good Counsel Church for Teresa H. Kolodziejczak Weber, 75, of Blasdell and formerly of Buffalo, who died Thursday, May 24, 2001.
Wife of the late Charles J. Weber Sr., she is survived by her son, Charles (Gloria) Weber; sister, Dorothy (Edward) Kulaw; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members.
She was predeceased by her son, Lance Cpl. Michael G. Weber, USMC.
Mrs. Weber was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post No. 2429.

Teresa Gentile

Wife of the late Anthony Gentile, she is survived by her sister, Ethel (late Sam) Morgano; brother, Joseph J. (Marilyn) Valone; in-laws and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Charlotte (Robert) Kibler; and brother, Frank R. (Lillian) Valone.
Mrs. Gentile was a member of the North Collins Senior Citizens and North Collins American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Burial was at Holy Spirit Cemetery and arrangements were made through the Wentland Funeral Home. 

Arlene Terhune
A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 16 at 1 p.m. from the Pine Hill Cemetery in Gowanda for Arlene P. Terhune, 90, of Eden, who died Monday, June 4, 2001.
Wife of the late James Lewis Terhune, she is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Hall; son, Kenneth (Carol) Terhune; brothers, Lyone (Kathryn), Donald and Robert Cornell; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Beatrice Scott.

Wife of the late Richard C. Aul Sr., she is survived by her daughter, Victoria (Robert) Wright; sons, Robert (Sherilyn) and Richard C. (Sandra) Aul Jr.; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by her brother, Edward (Bonnie Martin) Kollar.
Mrs. Aul was employed as the bookkeeper for the Richard C. Aul Co. She was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society, Court of Saint Agnes No. 817 and the Zonta Club.

Clayton Squier
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family for Clayton L. Squier, 89, of Bradenton, Florida and formerly of Hamburg, who died Sunday, June 3, 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Heyl Squier; daughter, Carol Kiener; sons, Robert C. and David I. Squier; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Squier was born in Madison, New Jersey. He worked at Bethlehem Steel for 40 years before retiring in 1975 as assistant general manager. He served as a deacon and elder of the Hamburg Presbyterian Church and served on the board of directors of OLV Hospital, Wanakah Country Club and Friendship House in Lackawanna. He was also active in the Association of Iron and Steel Engineers.

Irene Pettitt

Wife of the late James Pettitt, she is survived by her daughter, Elaine Wright; sons, Donald, David and George (Cheryl) Pettitt; brother, Johnny (Winnie) Halas; daughter-in-law, Barbara Pettitt; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her brothers, Frank Halaz Jr. and Al Halas.
Mrs. Pettitt was employed as a machine operator for the International Paper Company.

He was predeceased by his sister, Ida (Hugh) Davis; and brother, Anthony (Barbara) Dubreville.

Mrs. Yerke was employed as a kitchen helper for St. Francis High School. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Hamburg Post No. 527.

Daughter of the late Bernard and Dolores Young, she is survived by her sisters, Geraldine (James) Alexandria, Mary Jo (Lawrence) Monheim and Lynda (Gary) Ovitt; and brothers, Bernard (Jeanette), David (Christine), Thomas (Kimberly) and Richard (Carol Adams) Young.
Ms. Young was a resident of the West Seneca Developmental Center.
