A memorial service will be held Saturday morning, November 3, at 9 o'clock from the Schindler Funeral Home, 44 Center St., Gowanda. The Rev. Lawrence Milby will officiate. LUTHER - Donald B., of Boston, October 27, 2001. Beloved husband of Gertrude (nee Kennerdell) Luther; dearest father of Karen (Robert) Winter, Bonnie (Edward) Cichuniec and Betsy (Jeff) Phillips; also survived by four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock from the Faith United Church of Christ, 8651 Boston State Road, Boston. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery. Arrangements were made by the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home, Inc., 5453 Southwestern Boulevard, Hamburg. 

TERHUNE - Emily Mae, newborn daughter of Shawn and Erica (Glass) Terhune of Springville, Thursday, October 18, 2001, at Children's Hospital, Buffalo. Survivors include maternal grandparents Lloyd and Arlena (Glass) Milks of Gowanda; paternal grandparents Ken (Carol) Terhune of Springville and Ruth Terhune of Gowanda; maternal great-grandmother Mary Glass of Gowanda; and paternal great-grandmother Margaret Bond of Perrysburg, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Graveside services were held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at the Collins Center Cemetery. The Rev. Timothy Bickel officiated. Arrangements were made by the Schindler Funeral Home, 44 Center St., Gowanda.

HIRSCH - Lorine (nee Evans), of Rosemead, Calif., formerly of Springville, October 4, 2001. Wife of Richard Hirsch; mother of Rick (Rose) and Jim Hirsch; grandmother of Ryan and Reilly; sister of William (Barb) Evans of Springville, Jim Evans of Gowanda, Nancy (Ron) Hutchings of Springville, David (Rene) Evans of Delhi, and the late Rita (late Al) Schunke. Funeral services were held in California.

MORTON - Mary E. (nee Sudduth), 70, November 3, 2001, at Buffalo General Hospital. Mother of Harold (Patricia) Morton of Ellicottville, James (Debora) Morton of Austin, Texas, and Debra (Steven) Taft of Stafford, Va.; grandmother of 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister of George of Montross, Va., Inez Sudduth of Capahanic, Va., and Flora Sudduth of Warsaw, Va. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock from the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home, Inc., 271 East Main Street, Springville. The Rev. Richard M. Stedman officiated. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery, Springville. She was born March 16, 1931 in Chickasaw County, Miss. to the late George and Rose (Carlisle) Sudduth and worked as a librarian assistant for Ellicottville Library from 1966 to 1968 and Concord Public Library from 1972 to 1973. She also owned and operated the Good Samaritan Christian Book Store in Springville from 1979 to 1986.

NEWLAND - Herbert H., November 6, 2001, of Sardinia. Son of the late Herbert J. and Lucy S. (nee Rogers) Newland; brother of DeVar C. Newland, Shirley E. Fuller, Helen C. (Clifford) Rogers and the late Elton J. Newland. Friends are invited to a memorial service to be held Friday evening at 7:30 from the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home, Inc., 271 East Main Street, Springville. Rev. Robert W. Peck ThD will officiate. Burial will be in Sardinia Cemetery.

Harold C. Dinse
Harold C. Dinse of Boston, a retired millwright of Republic Steel, died Monday, November 5, 2001, at Fiddler's Green Nursing Home in Springville following a short illness.
Dinse served with the United States Army for three years, worked at Republic Steel for 42 years, and was a charter member and past president of the Boston Lions Club. He was a member of the Boston AMVETS and coached little league baseball teams in the late 1950s and early 1960s. After retirement, he enjoyed playing cards, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, the former Stella Hunchar; sons Carl (Bev), Jerry (Judy), and Dale (Marge); grandchildren Traci (Wayne) Olson, Scot (Anna Kobialka), Jennifer, Sara (Isaac) Humphrey, Janis, Jason and JoEllen. He was the great-grandfather of Taylor and Tanner Olson; brother of Richard (Jeanne) and the late Donald and Erwin Dinse; brother-in-law of Jean and Beatrice Dinse.
A memorial service will be held Saturday morning, November 10, at 11 o'clock from the Churchill Memorial Methodist Church, Boston State Road, Boston. 

BOBAK - Florence (nee Kacz- marek), November 19, 2001, of Springville, formerly of Sloan. Beloved wife of Richard; dearest mother of Joseph (Carol) Bobak; loving grandmother of Andrea (Chris) Reed, Melissa (Steve) Szczepanski and Joseph Bobak Jr.; and one great-grandson, Andrew. A prayer service was held Tuesday morning at 8:45 from the Daniel R. Smolarek Funeral Home, 2510 Union Road, Cheektowaga, and from Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 2158 Clinton St., Cheek- towaga, at 9:30. Burial in St. Matthew's Cemetery.

NOTHE - Clarence E. "Bud," of Springville. Beloved husband and dearest friend for 41 years of Constance A. (nee Bardwell), passed away suddenly at the age of 82 on November 11, 2001. Father of Bridget N. (Rob) Lewis of Colorado, Judy (Dennis) McGuirk of Maine and Barbara (Todd) Carpenter of Arkansas; grandfather of Patrick McGuirk of Texas and Jessica Lingenfelter of Colorado; great-grandfather of Jeanette and Jonathan McGuirk, both of California; brother of Frances Will of Hamburg and Elly Blackwell of Florida; also survived by special nephews and nieces. A private memorial service was held Thursday morning, November 15 at 10:00 o'clock from the Smith-Weisman- tel Funeral Home, Inc., 271 East Main Street, Springville. The Rev. David C. Derk officiated. Burial was in the Henrietta Road Cemetery, town of Ashford.

Esther V. Watkins
Esther V. Watkins, 82, of Route 242, Ellicottville, died Tuesday, November 6, 2001 at her home following a long illness.
She was born May 13, 1919 in Stockton, the daughter of the late Frank and Mertie (Greene) Manning.
She married Robert T. Watkins on Nov. 29, 1941 in Ellicottville. He passed away in 1994.
Mrs. Watkins was a homemaker and had attended the United Church of Ellicottville. She had been a leader in a 4-H club in Collins Center.
Survivors include a son, Robert H. (Virginia) Watkins of Ellicott- ville; three daughters, Patricia M. Brown of Hamburg, Marlene E. Davis of West Valley and Joan M. Winship of Salamanca; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Catherine A. Watkins; two grandchildren; three brothers, Edward Matthews, Marion Manning and Howard Manning; four sisters, Orpha Stone, Elsie Hornung, Olive McBratnie and Hila Schaeffer.
Funeral services were held Friday morning at 11 o'clock from the O'Rourke Funeral Home, 411 Rock City Street, Little Valley. Burial was in Little Valley Rural Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Donald Crump
Former East Concord resident Donald Crump, 87, of South Carolina, died Saturday, November 3, 2001 in Bayview Nursing Home in South Carolina.
Mr. Crump was born in Colden on Feb. 5, 1914. He enjoyed fishing and horse pulls, and was a member of the Sardinia Snowmobile Club. A retired foreman for the Erie County Highway Department, he had worked out of the East Concord office.
Mr. Crump is survived by a daughter, Marie Meyer of South Carolina; a stepdaughter, Sis DeGolier of Sardinia; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a longtime companion, Deloris Hopkins.
Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family from the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, Arcade. Burial was in Sardinia Cemetery. 

FRANTZ - Kenneth W., of Colden, November 17, 2001. Beloved husband of Marion (nee Sponholz); father of Rhonda L. (Richard) Klaiber, Kevin W. (Jeanne) Frantz, and Ranea A. Kos; brother of Irma Haas and the late Shirley Pavlock; also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock from St. Martin's Lutheran Church, 8304 Cole Road, Colden. BERNHOFT - Gladys D. (nee Maloney), of West Valley, November 22, 2001. Wife of the late Leo Bernhoft; mother of Phyllis Hoffower, Sharon (William) Preston, James Puff, David Bernhoft; stepmother of Sandra Bernhoft, Douglas (Karen) Bernhoft, Cheryl Bernhoft, Pamela Bernhoft; also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren; sister of Gertrude Kruse and Maude Windsor. BROCK - Orville E., age 92, of Lakeland, Fla., formerly of Boston, November 19, 2001. Husband of the late Alberta (nee Ewan); father of Duane (Helen); grandfather of Mark (Donna) and Tammy (Michael) Halley, and five great-grandchildren; brother of Charles and Ester, both of Lakeland, and the late Paul; also survived by several nieces and nephews. FOLTS - Alvin C., 84, of Springville, November 25, 2001, at the Waters of Aurora Park, East Aurora. Husband of the late Arline H. (Hadley) Folts; father of Wayne A. (LaVerne) Folts of Colden; grandfather of Sandra (Paul) Mattson, Jennifer (Jason) Burford and Rachel (Marc) Nicholson; brother of Merton (Rita) Folts, Millard (Margaret) Folts, Loren Folts, Alberta (late Ralph) Kruse, and the late Gordon and Clyde Folts. KINMARTIN - Gary D., of Machias, November 26, 2001. Beloved husband of Nancy J. (nee Michels); dearest father of Gary II, Kenneth, Scott, Kyle and Nicholas; son of Naomi and the late Donald R. Kinmartin; son-in-law of Janet Michels. SOBOLESKI - Alfred S. of Springville, November 20, 2001. Husband of the late Valeria Soboleski (nee Szymanski); father of Alfred (Elise), Richard (Ingrid), Robert and Cecilia Soboleski; also survived by eight grandchildren an three great-granddaughters. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Mr. Sololeski was a lifelong radio amateur, call sign W2Q1L. He was also one of the first single side band operators in the world, an avid tennis player, playing until the age of 82. He served in the Army. During World War II he was stationed in Ukon, Alaska erecting radio stations. Arrangements were made by the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home, Inc., 271 East Main Street, Springville.

VANDERBOSCH - Robert A., of Otto, November 27, 2001. Husband of Madelyn (nee Wilson) Vanderbosch; father of Robert M. (Michelle) Vanderbosch, Laura (James) Land, David (Christina) Vanderbosch and Deborah Vanderbosch; also survived by 17 grandchildren; brother of the late Gertrude Lickfeld, Anthony Vanderbosch, Mary Dorothy Baskerville, Anna Feltz and Thomas Vanderbosch.
