Of Hampstead, NC, died Thursday, May 22, 2003 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center in Wilmington, NC. He was born April 16, 1926 in Buffalo, NY, son of the late George R. and Elizabeth Bellinger Dise. Mr. Dise graduated from Bennett High School, and then served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After graduating from the University of Rochester, he worked for Niagara-Mohawk Power Corp. in Buffalo from 1950-1970 and then in Syracuse from 1970-1984, retired after 34 years of service as Senior Vice-President of Engineering and Quality Assurance and then moved to Olde Point in Hampstead, NC. Mr. Dise is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jane Worden Dise; three children, Kathryn D. Powell of Silver Spring, MD, Karl M. Dise (Frances) of Evergreen, CO and Christopher W. Dise (Pamela) of Manlius, NY; seven grandchildren and a sister, Dona E. Dise of Caroga Lake, NY. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM Tuesday, May 27, 2003. Age 68, of Tequesta, FL, died Saturday, May 24, 2003 at Hospice of Martin County. Mr. Rackley had been a resident of Tequesta for 12 years coming from Huntsville, AL. He was a 21-year U.S. Army veteran, serving two tours in Vietnam. Mr. Rackley received many citations including the Silver Star and served with the Joint Chief of Staff at the Pentagon. He was a member of Episcopal Church of Good Shepherd and served as Treasurer of their school. Mr. Rackley was a graduate of Christ School in Adren, NC, North Carolina State University and received his MBA at Canisius College, Buffalo, NY. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Morris Rackley; two sons, Michael (Kim) Rausch of Cincinnati, OH and David Rausch of Ponte Vedra, FL; one daughter, Elizabeth (Maurice) Gant of Huntsville, AL; three grandchildren, Vincent Rausch, Emily and Mary Elizabeth Gant; also survived by one sister, Julia (Richard) Woodman of Atlanta, GA.
