OXFORD - Joseph S. Phelan of Oxford died Monday morning, Nov. 30 at the New York State Veterans' Home, Oxford. He was born on April 10, 1916 in Brooklyn, the son of Joseph and Della (Prendergast) Phelan. On April 18, 1939 he married Agnes Preston who survives.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Behe Funeral Home, Oxford with the Rev. Douglas Cunningham, pastor of St. Joseph's Church of Oxford officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford with military honors accorded by Fort Hill Post, American Legion.
Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home, Oxford on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

SARANAC LAKE - Joseph F. Connolly Sr. died Nov. 27, 1998 at the Adirondack Medical Center at Saranac Lake.

SHERBURNE - Mary H. Barnes, 87, formerly of Handsome Brook Estates, Sherburne died Thursday at the home of her niece, Mrs. Robert (Linda) Sholette, Black River, with whom she had resided since November.

BAINBRIDGE - Albert S. DeClue, a prominent attorney and resident of Bainbridge died on April 30, 1999 after an extended illness. He was 83.
Mr. DeClue was a faithful parishioner of St. John's Catholic Church in Bainbridge. A memorial mass, to which the public is invited, will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. There will be no calling hours.
